SporêtHet! (SportNow!) is the Lonish Domestic Sports Newswire, reporting on all sorts of sports occuring in Lons and the Lonish Isles, primarily the four biggest sports in Lons- football, field hockey, archery and basketbal.
Please refrain from posting in this thread if you're not either me, a puppet of mine, or a moderator doing what moderators do; presumably moderate.
For the sake of simplicity, this thread, and all of Lonish sporting history therewith, acts as if it was sprung into existence on the first of January, 2010. Below is a list of events reported by SporêtHet!, sorted by sports. If you have any questions, comments, or other things you'd like to make vocal to me, TGs are always welcome. For a schedule of what's to come in the forseeable future - refer to this Google calendar I made. (Warning: A lot of clicking required to get anywhere)

21 January 2010 - Start of ÂLKP on Wîntalus won by Omstât
The ÂLKP has begun today, as the 5 leg archery competition for both Lonish and Anilonish archers had its first arrows shot at the Wîntalus Range around 2 in the afternoon, on the Lonish Isle of Wîntalus. Winner of the first fifth of the competition was Gavôr Omstât, scoring 666 points. Next week, the Âlmeiêv Lôniêv Kômpesên ên Pâitbo continues on the second and last Anilonish range, in Âlbasi on Kârmaus. Weather conditions there are expected hotter than normal, to which Lonish Bobôdiûs Vimâdrâ, 3rd place on Wîntalus, responded: ''Yeah, it's definitely a bit rougher than usual, ya know, playing in these hotter conditions. I personally can't wait until we get back to the mainland, where it's a little cooler right now.'' The ÂLKP will last five weeks, until the 18th of February.

18 February 2010 - ÂLKP Final Standings

In Âlesiâ, the final chapter of the 2010 ÂLKP was played today. The winner of the day was Gavôr Omstât, who, in the end, didn't only get the glory for the daily victory, but also for the entire competition. After winning the first round of the competition, he scored consistently well, only falling fourth in the third round, in Titêlîs. He noted to a SporêtHet reporter: "It's a great honour, but above all also a deserved result after a fierce competition. I commend each and every single one of the other archers on their wonderful performance, and hope to see most of them in 2 weeks time for the LSPK in Kêlik.'' At the start of the day, was already 10 points ahead of second place finisher, Herhinên. ''I mean, you can't let your focus drop just because you're likely to get a good score and see your prime opponent struggling. There's always room to push the boundaries of this sport even further, and I like to think that's what happened here today with my performance." Herhinên maintained his second place, much alike the whole of the Top 5. By finishing 4th in this recent leg, Zânt Kolkômôs pushed from the tenth position in the ratings all the way up to sixth. Omstât also wins the Golden Quiver this season of ÂLKP, for scoring the most bullseyes, for a total of 38.

As the first course took off today, on the Woxo Meadows Country Club, for the Tur ân Ânilôn Open, the wind proved to be mild, and kindly subdued as the first few drives were made. 6 March 2010 - Volleyball competition DKLM starts off with upsets for Koklatês Green and ODLK
This afternoon, the volleyballs were taken off the shelfs again to mark the start of the Dudâliabêl Kômpesên ên Lôns ''MediMax''. These are the results of the games played on the first matchday.
DKLM Matchday 1
Eston Arba Prestige 15 25 26 22
Âsmalor DLK 25 21 28 25

Foxes Dudâli 25 23 23 20

Onêd Overclocked 20 25 25 25

Netrovers 20 21 17
ODLK 25 25 25

Notable here is the decimating victory of Koklatês Green against angstgegner Pâlezêv, and the loss of Prestige versus Âsmalor DLK. Apart from this, ODLK, a team this could be expected from, has been the only team not to drop a set, so far; in their victory against the Netrovers. Matches will continue every week until the 6th of June, when we will report the halftime standings.

8 March 2010 - Lons-only LS PK for archery starts off with the initial shootout.
Today on the range in Kêlik, the first arrows were fired for Lôniêv Skâmkâf Pâitbo Kurzi. The intial shootout contained 28 mainland archers, of which the first 20 advanced to the next round. Heat A will be played upcoming Wednesday, with Heat B conducted the day after. The results of the shootout are as follows:
LS PK Initial Round
1 Gavôr Omstât Image

26 Riti Zônstom Image LNS 624 3 0
27 Bivûs Trêkê Image LNS 608 3 0
28 Huvi Kromâtôs Image LNS 602 5 0

As is clear, winner of the ÂLKP Gavôr Omstât wins another shootout, and advances. However, grief was to be read on the faces of Lokûstral and Belitâns, who, despite having a passable record, failed to qualify. Lokûstral is additionally the archer that scored highest in the ÂLKP, but failed to qualify to the finals, as he placed 18th that tournament. Nevertheless, Heat A and Heat B will look as follows:
Heat A - 10 March
Gavôr Omstât Image LNS Finished 1st in ÂLKP
Kêli Herhinên Image LNS Finished 2nd in ÂLKP
Gelân Pertôv Image LNS Finished 11th in ÂLKP
Wârt Olâsêm Image LNS Finished 3rd in ÂLKP
Ludo Kôrk Image LNS Finished 16th in ÂLKP

Ândro Poliâk Image LNS Finished 19th in ÂLKP
Dediês Dunân Image LNS Finished 13th in ÂLKP
Rôn Zostik Image LNS Finished 20th in ÂLKP

Heat B - 11 March
Hûbê Fafêndril Image LNS Finished 5th in ÂLKP
Âumân ên Dâlda Image LNS Finished 8th in ÂLKP
Pêlêz Kâîstom Image LNS Finished 10th in ÂLKP
Besik Tâston Image LNS
Bobôdiûs Vimâdrâ Image LNS Finished 9th in ÂLKP
Ôrio Klevimâks Image LNS
Rif Mîste Image LNS Finished 17th in ÂLKP
Helio Didrîk Image LNS
Avi Krosâm Image LNS
Vidêm Frôlâ Image LNS

As is clear to the naked eye, Heat A packs a much more powerful punch than heat B. It is to be expected at least one of the big names will fall in that very Heat, as only the 5 best will advance to the Finals, and expected is at least the top 3 from the ÂLKP will see play in the finals. This also put stress on the mind of Kolkômôs, who was expecting a seamless qualification, but now finds himself in the Heat of Doom. ''It's never relieving to find out the people on the podium a few weeks ago are also in your qualifying heat right now... It really puts some pressure on you, as you start looking for a way to perhaps beat them and emerge as an upsetting first of the heat, but in reality, I think it's absolutely necessary to realize whenever you're in this position that you have nothing to prove, and that all you need to do to make it to that final round is to beat at least 5 other athletes. And I'm confident I can at least overcome 5 of the others in this Heat A.'' As noted, upcoming Wednesday, Heat A - ''Heat of Doom'' will fire off, followed by a much more mild Heat B the day after.

10 March 2010 - LS PK Heat A Results
A few hours ago, the last arrows for Heat A, dubbed the Heat of Doom, were shot into the target, and results are available. Without further ado, these are the scores.
Heat A
1 Kêli Herhinên (LNS) 672 28 11 Advances to Finals
2 Wârt Olâsêm (LNS) 666 33 9 Advances to Finals
3 Gavôr Omstât (LNS) 655 21 2 Advances to Finals
4 Zânt Kolkômôs (LNS) 651 24 5 Advances to Finals
5 Olâv Etirên (LNS) 648 14 5 Advances to Finals
6 Dediês Dunân (LNS) 645 20 5
7 Gelân Pertôv (LNS) 642 17 6
8 Rôn Zostik (LNS) 637 8 3
9 Ludo Kôrk (LNS) 634 8 2
10 Ândro Poliâk (LNS) 630 14 4

As can be seen, the top three archers at the ÂLKP a month or so ago proved qualificying for the Finals was no match to them, and each of them advances without any problems. Herhinên even scored an amazing round of shots, hitting 11 bullseyes, the second highest number of bullseyes in one round scored this year, first being 14 bullseyes by, once more, Herhinên in Round 5 of the ÂLKP. However, what should be noted is the advancing of Olâv Etirên- who prior to this Heat- was regarded an outsider. Olâv commented: ''Well, you gotta believe in yourself, and never count your own out. If you do better than most, you're gonna climb.'' And that's a truth we can all agree on. Tomorrow, the less enticing Heat B, which might just because of that render everyone with some surprises, followed by the finals upcoming Saturday.

11 March 2010 - LS PK Heat B Results
Yesterday, we saw the Heat of Doom taking place, however, with a result that wasn't very exciting one way or the other, with the exception of Etirên, who qualified for the finals out of the blue. Heat B however is expected to be much more exciting in terms of advancement- the skill level is a little lower than in the first Heat, so mistakes can be covered a little more easily, but also be punished much, much harsher. Here are today's results.
Heat B
1 Hûbê Fafêndril (LNS) 655 19 3 Advances to Finals
2 Pêlêz Kâîstom (LNS) 648 17 6 Advances to Finals
3 Âumân ên Dâlda (LNS) 645 16 4 Advances to Finals
4 Rif Mîste (LNS) 641 15 2 Advances to Finals
5 Besik Tâston (LNS) 641 12 3 Advances to Finals
6 Bobôdiûs Vimâdrâ (LNS) 640 15 4
7 Avi Krosâm (LNS) 635 14 2
8 Ôrio Klevimâks (LNS) 632 10 0
9 Helio Didrîk (LNS) 629 15 1
10 Vidêm Frôlâ (LNS) 622 9 3

The top 5 of this table have been added to the Final Heat, this Saturday. Until then!

8 Pêlêz Kâîstom (LNS) 646 19 5 Awarded 1 points for the Kopâ ên Lusîs Boêl
9 Rif Mîste (LNS) 638 13 6
10 Besik Tâston (LNS) 631 7 0

Congratulations to Wârt Olâsêm on winning the Lonish Championship for 2010. This combined with the results from ÂLPK, brings the total scores for the Kopâ LB, upcoming April as follows:
Kopâ ên Lusîs Boêl - Preliminary standings
1 Kêli Herhinên 16
Wârt Olâsêm 16
Gavôr Omstât 16
4 Hûbê Fafêndril 9
Zânt Kolkômôs 9
6 Âumân ên Dâlda 6
7 Olâv Etirên 2
Pêlêz Kâîstom 2
Bobôdiûs Vimâdrâ 2

Well, things are pretty tight here for the Kopâ LB in the top group. All of these archers are automatically invited to the Kopâ, but a few other have also classified:
Qualified for the Kopâ ên Lusîs Boêl

All of the above
Rif Mîste
Dediês Dunân
Gelân Pertôv
Ândro Poliâk
Ludo Kôrk

These athletes will start out with 0 points, but, technically, as points gained in the Kopâ itself count double, they are not necessarily out yet. The Kopâ ên Lusîs Boêl will begin the 15th of April, and will conclude the 17th, closing the Archery season. Before then, however, we'll have more archer action on the ranges on the islands, as this Monday, the LÂSPK will commence; the same format, except a wholly different range of archers. Until then!

12 Koklatês Red 12 3 0 9 18 31 −13 9
13 Âlesiânâv Âsowit 12 3 0 9 17 30 −13 9

Overview
Surprisingly, ODLK has the lead so far. The team from Orâkês is in the lead, ahead of fan favorite Pâlezêv. Apart from this, only one team stands out, being Sêntra Ên Âsmal Dudâliabêl - the team from Înosêm is in the seventh position, and is having a terrific season so far. As it seems, Prestige is one win up on a big blob of teams a 7 wins behind Pâlezêv: Overclocked, Netrovers and KDK. After that, most the teams seems rather powerless to decide the further outcome of the competition, with 6 wins, they are 3 wins down on ODPK and Pâlezêv competing for 1st place right now, and further down, the only thing that might attract one's interest is whether Koklatês Green or Koklatês Red will come out ahead of the two Gemêlus teams, both of which are granted a spot in the bottom 3. For the record, in their head to head match, played in the tenth round, Koklatês Red won, with 3 sets to 1. Âlesiânâv Âsowit closes the rankings - although this might as well have been Koklatês Red, as they share not only the same number of wins (3), but also the same differential - placing the Reds ahead only on merit of one single set.

Predictions, hopes and dreams
It is very well possible that ODLK will take the victory this season - seeing as in the first half of the competition, they lost their three dropped matches to Prestige, KDK, in a 5th set thriller ending in 16-14, and, Âlesiânâv Âsowit, the team currently in dead last. Against all other opponents, including Pâlezêv, ODLK has won - meaning they can still gain a lot of heat with proper set-up against some of these generally considered, easier teams. However, it should not be forgotten that, theoretically, the most potent players are on the Pâlezêv team. As the DKLM is the only Lonish volleyball competition, most of these teams needn't worry about demotion to a lower division - however, the association behind Koklatês Green and Red has said they might consider a fusion of either of their teams should they both end in the bottom 4 - meaning these teams would get seriously buffed out with star players from both teams, however, also meaning half the players will have to find a different team to play for. Prestige is not to be held out of contention either: the coach of the Ârbâns, Zanîs Drus mentioned his goal for this season was no position less than second place. If Prestige is able to knock either ODLK or Pâlezêv out of the top 2 to achieve this will be concluded on the 11th of September - when the final matchday is played. Until then!

3 July 2010 - In the Tour of the Islands, Gogêx achieves a victory, while Detêlo slips up big time

Today, on the Frêlus Gêmin course Bêolokâl ên Gêmin Club, loosely translated the Wooden Hut of Gêmin Club, the third of four legs to the Tur ân Ânilôn Open was played. Here are the results to this matchday.

Helio êv Dôgeîs 77 +5
8 Omênâ Kârpsên 78 +6
Bârdeûs Fritânê 78 +6
10 Arhanîs êv Blanêv 80 +8
11 Kârmestêl Kôstiê 81 +9

Rif Detêlo 86 +14
19 Kêzêf âm Poriêl 87 +15

Notable here is that Rif Detêlo, who previously enjoyed a 6 stroke lead compared to the second place, had a terrible run this round - ending up around the bottom of the grid - allowing both Gogêx and Pôpêl to immediately catch up before the final round. Here are the standings in the Tur after today's course.

1 Tômetû Gogêx +12
2 Rif Detêlo +15
