Getting a bit bored of waiting for the April Fools Day event to start * Pokes [Violet] and Max Barry with a red hot Iron Rod to try and wake them up *

Blaat, are you sure the 'everyone became a mod' thing was totally gameside? I think if you dig far enough people would probably find some old joke threads in Moderation from that one where we all 'warned and banned each other' and our forum names turned bold red * looks and points towards Reppy *... I thought the gameside joke that day might have been the Conservative/Libertarian joke thing?

What I mean with Gameside is, that the effects primarily take place in the game. Naturally, the things are discussed on the forum side, but that's not where the "magic" happens.

-attack of "X" be it zombies, ISIS or something else
-bytecoin
-Categories changed to something silly

I predict that the joke shall be... Nationstates Academy. Every nation becomes personified and attends some school activity type things. Totally not stealing this from Gauken Hetalia

Whoosh, I just went back to look at last year's April Fool's and realised it was Bytecoins!

As amazing as it was, I hope it never comes back. That thing burnt 40+ hours of my time and brainpower - only to realise after waking up after having a good rest for the last 8 hours to see my position drop from 5 to 14. :roll:

Hey, at least you were still within the rankings! I went from being number 5 worldwide VERY early on and ended up falling into obscurity.

That's the problem, that thing is extremely time consuming. I had a slow start on the first day and made it *barely* on the board (and then slept), and only managed to get back up because of Regnum Dominae's 3.67 trillion donation that made it so much easier to invest and get back returns (especially when the only thing you have is millions/billions after waking up) :meh:
