Introduction

Welcome to the Information and Newswire for the Allamunnic Hockey League (AHL). This will focus on the domestic ice hockey league of the Allamunnic States, a region on the northeastern edge of the continent of Acheron in the region of The Cornellian Empire.

This thread will contain information on the history of the League, its composition (in terms of teams and organization of play), and with full rosters for each of the League's forty-eight clubs. Beyond that section, this thread will also be a source of information on competition in the Allamunnic Hockey League, with scores and results posted each week of matches.

The AHL is divided into four divisions in two conferences. Divisions and conferences are organized geographically, with one conference covering teams in the east of the country and the other covering teams in the western half of the country. The two divisions in each conference are both organized on north-south lines. Each division has twelve teams, meaning that each conference has twenty-four teams.

Each team is required to have a roster of 17 to 20 people. Although teams may theoretically have as few as seventeen players on their active rosters at any given time, in practice, this never happens, due to the needs of attrition in the league. The usual roster configuration is three lines of forwards plus a spare, three pairs of defensemen plus a spare, and three goaltenders.

For schedule, each team plays each other team in their division two times and each team in the other conference once, for a total of 46 games.
