The Utopian Republic of Star United States, the land of diversity, is located in the region of Esportiva. With an unknown founding date, the country was created with the joining of five former sovereign states, which are now known as the Estrall, Herbeid, Piaxse, Opangue, and Starix Districts. From the tropical rain forests with exotic animals to the forgotten streets of the country, there is always something interesting to find, be it the culture or language. English, Spanish, and Portuguese are common throughout the country. Almost everyone in Star United States is a fan of at least one sport. The country's capital is known at the City of Star.

The Starian territory also extends to seven beautiful, yet distinct islands, which are known as Alegria, Ilha do Sur, Ilha Central, Paz, Ilha Recife, Sorriso, and Ilha do Norte. Portuguese is the most dominant language on the islands.the land of diversity located in the region of Esportiva. DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
NATIONAL LACROSSE TEAM

This will be Abanhfleft's second time participating in the World Lacrosse Championship. Because of their incredible performance in the previous WLC, the Fleftic Lacrosse Federation will be sending the women's national team to represent the Democratic Republic in this tournament. The women's team, led by the "Fearsome Threesome" of Menan Alrisheb, Fatima Alsambis, and Cecilia Cuvimi, managed to win third place in the last tournament, beating the Serbian Empire to nab the bronze from under the veteran nation's noses. This women's team is different from the other women's lacrosse teams, because they are trained in men's lacrosse rules, the reasons why will be explained in the history spoiler below.

The history of lacrosse in Abanhfleft is both long and short, in that it has been in the country for a long time, but a concise summary of said history can be written down in just ten to fifteen sentences or maybe more. Lacross was introduced in Abanhfleft by vacationing Canadian college students and expatriates who missed playing the game. The first truly Fleftic lacrosse players came from association football and field hockey backgrounds, and these players played in seasonal lacrosse clubs to augment their salaries during their respective sports' offseasons. The first national lacrosse league in Abanhfleft was established in 1929, and was composed of 7 teams coming from the Capital Islands. The Fleftic national lacrosse league system adopted its current promotion-and-relegation format in 1951, with the National League (now called the Lacrosse Premier League) at the top of the pyramid. The Fleftic Lacrosse Federation (Flefteikor' Fidourhat'she ob Lakros or FFoL) was established in 1930 to manage the leagues, and to see to the creation of a national team. The Abanhfleft men's national lacrosse team played its first game in 1931, where they lost 1-0 to a team of Montreal college players.

1963 saw the first attempts to introduce women's lacrosse into Abanhfleft. Women's lacrosse had vastly different rules from men's lacrosse, and while these programs saw some success in the mid-sixties, Fleftic women decided that the rules of women's lacrosse were "too soft," and simply adopted the rules of men's lacrosse. When the women's national lacrosse team played its first games in 1969, they surprised many other teams with their extremely aggressive style of play, the likes of which were more usually seen in men's lacrosse games. This led to many incidents of broken legs, broken arms, broken ribs, broken jaws, and so on and so forth. Eventually the FFoL established another women's team, this one focusing on women's lacrosse rules. Teams playing Abanhfleft are well-advised to treat the women like men, because the girls will certainly treat their opponents like Fleftic men.

Head Coach: Luzviminda Lozima (66)
Lozima is the first ever head coach of the Abanhfleft women's national lacrosse team, a position which has been ironically dominated by men. A noted lacrosse player herself, Lozima definitely knows how the players think on the field and off it. This gives her an edge over many former managers, who were men and therefore had no experience playing women's style lacrosse. The players also have a deep respect of Lozima because of her fame and role in the old silverware-winning national side of old.

Assistant Coach - Tactics: Tim Blyther (40)
Blyther is an Australian who played lacrosse in Abanhfleft's Lacrosse Premier League for almost fifteen years, eventually retiring in 2009 with five championships under his belt. Blyther is also a fan of association football, and was the mastermind of adapting some of that's sports tactics into lacrosse, and this combination of lacrosse and football helped lead the Releinthi Fighting Sticks to three consecutive championships in the Lacrosse Premier League. Being the inventor and innovator of FootCrosse (the combination of football and lacrosse tactics), Blyther was invited by the FFoL to be both national teams' tactics coach, but this will be the first time that FootCrosse will be seen on the world stage, and how Abanhfleft will perform in this tournament will determine the viability of FootCrosse on the international lacrosse scene.

Assistant Coach - Training: Chan Lua (54)
A popular aerobics instructor back in the 1980s, Chan Lua was hired by the FFoL in 2012 for a yearly salary of 2 million new penenks, one of the largest yearly salaries ever in the federation. Lua's job will be to increase and enhance the players' fitness levels. Lua's hiring, which had been a controversial decision at the time, eventually paid off when both national teams' starting lineups lasted much longer on the field than their opponents. Observers keen to gauge this side will look to Lua's contributions to the effectiveness of the national side.

Menan Alrisheb (#10) - The star player of the Abanhfleft's women's lacrosse team. She definitely has the makings of a world lacrosse superstar, being in the prime of her playing career. Her talent was spotted at a very early age, being already courted by some of the country's top universities when she was still 11. She eventually went to Malhall State University, which has a critically acclaimed lacrosse varsity program and is incidentally near her hometown of Selid, in Myleikaf state. Alrisheb was then signed by the Bytuch Wyk Hermits (Ladies) at the age of 21. Alrisheb began representing Abanhfleft in 2005, when she was a reserve attacker for the U-18 side. She made her first team debut against Canada in 2009, and she immediately showed signs of her emergence as one of the best lacrosse players of her generations by scoring a goal and assisting in two more in a hard-fought 3-3 draw. She also made waves in the national sports scene when she announced that she was in a relationship with Ibrahim Ahmadinejad, right fielder of the Verbergerkinnh Cubs of the Abanhfleft Major League of Baseball and the men's national baseball team.

Fatima Alsambis (#9) - One of Fleftic sports' greatest success stories. Alsambis was diagnosed with a congenital defect which meant that she had little to no control over her excretory system, leading to her being stuck with diapers her whole life. Most people would have given up the rest of their lives at that, but not Fatima Alsambis. Despite her medical condition, Alsambis strived hard in athletics, and eventually became a skilled lacrosse player. One would think that playing sports, especially lacrosse, would be hard while wearing an adult diaper, but Alsambis made it work. She was signed by the Riuwiee Stateswomen in 2004, and she was called up to the national team soon after. She also shocked the Fleftic sporting world by declaring on national television her eventual love for diapers, along with the declaration that Fleftic football star Luke Edwards had proposed to her after almost 8 years of dating.

Cecilia Cuvimi (#8) - Cuvimi carrries on her shoulders the legacy of the Cuvimi sporting family, begun by her grandfather, Cecil Rhodes Cuvimi, Senior. She started playing for the Bendy Benny Benders (Ladies) in 2004, and was called up to the national team in 2007. Up to this day, she has been inconsistent in her playing style. Sometimes she shows the brilliance that evokes the run-and-gun style of the elder Cuvimis. Other times she plays like a seventeen-year-old reserve player forced up into the first team by injuries to the better players. Cecilia definitely has a lot to prove, and while she has become consistent in her game during the World Lacrosse Championship XIX, there is still room for improvement for her.

Nickname: The Amazons
Colors: All white with blue, orange, and green stripes on the waistline and yellow numbers in a red circle (home kit); all red with yellow letters and numbers (away kit)
Style: Abanhfleft is an attacking team. The legacy of football and hockey players dabbling in lacrosse in its early days in Abanhfleft has resulted in a playing style that emphasizes getting the ball up front for chances to score. This, however, leaves the defense a bit thin, as at least two midfielders join the attackers in forays up to the goal, leaving behind only the defenders and the keeper. The midfield makes up for this by rushing back to their positions as soon as the opponents have acquired the ball.

"Our chances in this tournament our slim but there're still chances" The Peoples Emirate captain Benny Cumberland said after the groups were drawn. The unranked minnows were ranked in pot 4 and were drawn into the same group as unranked Borxinoia,Nicigangua and ranked Star United States.

"Playing against the host nation and the best team in the tournament will be fun." said youngster Oscar Dionito. "This is our nations first run in the tournament and playing against a team like the Star United States will show were we our in terms of quality."

"The key is to not buy into the pressure." said starting goalie Damien Stanciu. "We just have to play every game like it's a league game and not panic about it."

"I know there has been some criticism of me picking such a young team to compete in a tournament like this." legendary player Harvey Meck said after training today. "However those kids have motors and have the most integrity I have ever seen, We will surprise a few." Meanwhile the team practiced in some scrimmages with Carlos Ramos being the one TPESN analysts have predicted to be the breakout star from the team. Meanwhile both Damein Stanciu and backup Juan Pinto played equally well and it is unclear who will be given the nod. "I have a strong amount of faith in Stanciu." Meck said disarming any speculation. "Unless something crazy happens Stanciu will be our number one." The Peoples Emirate will player newcomers Borxinoia in group stage action first.

Star United States

"I just cannot believe our luck! We're in the Star United States, a nation that is lucky land for us. We could sure save a lot of luck for the torunament, because we need to win it." said Zinoviy Yuri to Filipp Soosaar, the start player of Estenia and playmaker on the field

"Yeah, it's been a while since the last Estenian won the jackpot while being in here. Or when the national football team made a runner up finish. The place has always something magic to show to us. I hope this time is the trophy, as we need to establish ourselves into the world of lacrosse, which seems to be tone of the weakest sports played by Estenians, even if we did a respectable performance last season with a round of 16 finish. And even the placing of the pots show us that we haven't yet established ourselves since we're on pot 2. But we've got luck on our side since Abanhfleft is the only formidable opponent of our group, with Catarona and St. Saratoga being our other opponents. This should be an easy and exciting tournament for us." replied Filipp Soosaar who was drinking his orange juice, enjoying the open and crystal Starian sea.

Zinoviy then asked with curiosity "What are the last two nations and where they are located?"

Filipp replied with a little bit of wise "They are nations who haven't established themselves to the global sports scene, but they might pose a threat. I don't know where they are located but I can guarantee you, they celebrated easter before us. I loved that easter egg hunt back in Estenia. Why does the nation have to be so famous int he region and have bilingual signs in English and Estenian? Anyway, we must focus on the tournament, we must do better in this edition."

"Yeah, we've improved a lot since the last season and we're still a young team with average age of 22.68." said Zinoviy while he was heading to the kitchen to take a sandwich but he had realised that Soosaar was following him and asked "So? Any answer?"

"Yeah, we're a young, a very young team. But we have to settle we're a lacrosse powerhouse in this cup. Because now it our time to shine. Let's become the blue machines for this cup." answered Filipp while he made his own sandwich and headed towards outside with Zinoviy then he asked "How was the Eastern Division this year? Was it hard?"

Zinoviy answered "No, for me it wasn't since our team conceded very few points and went top of the league, as you know. But I will probably concede more points in this tournament than the entire weak tournament we've got in here."

Filipp's response was "A weak torunament full of national team players giving up the fizz to the tournament, remember Eastern Division isn't as weak as South Division which only has 1 national team player giving the excitement for the fans."

"But it sure had more points, way more points than the Eastern Division. In general the point ration of the southern division is larger than the eastern division's. With 42.9 points per game in the South Division while only 27.6 points in the East Division. It is a very large difference, considering the fact that it has weaker defences than the south one. Or at least, that's what the tradition says." said Zinoviy, sighed and continued "Friend, those statistics say that truth though. They always do and they always did. We can't just leave the facts on the on the ruined side."

Filipp asked "Ruined side? What kind of ruined side? Dude, there are no ruined sides in conversation or our brain. There's no wreckage around, wake up. What happened to you? I thought you wouldn't speak like that for this edition."

Zinoviy answered "Nothing has happened to me, I just can't handle it. It's bad not doing your habits, either they are bad or not. Filipp I think you should wake up and explore the world."

"Explore the world while you don't know Catarona? Seriously? I think that you should explore the world and finally believe that Banija exists and it is a major ally of ours." said Filipp while being angry

"What is a Banija dude? I can't hear you." said Zinoviy

"Banija is a nation that houses more people than you have room in your brain." said Filipp, then Gleb Eduard and Dorofey Terenti just did sounds of excitement after the pipe bomb that Filipp threw on Zinoviy who clearly was angry and then he punched Filipp on his shoulder with a strong punch, Gleb tried to hold him but Filipp responded with a kick on the knee of Zinoviy, Gleb held Zinoviy before his reponse, so did Dorofey with Filipp who started saying

"F*ck you idiotic sc*m. Come and fight me like a man f*ggot. Come here."

Zinoviy then replied "A man doesn't fight. B*tch" then Filipp went of Dorofey's hands and punched Zinoviy in the jaw with Zinoviy fainting and Filipp getting on his room without believing that he fought with his best friend on the national team. Zinoviy was fainted for about 30 minutes, it was a strong jaw punch and Zinoviy woke up with a minor amnesia on what happened 30 minutes before. Filipp was with him and said "Sorry bro."

Zinoviy's response was "What happened? Why am I in my room?"

Filipp then responded "We fought and I punched you down, we brought you here after I realised the size of my mistake."

"Ah, why were we fighting?" asked Zinoviy with Filipp replying

"A pointless fight about the exploration of the world. Nothing much."

"Alright, I'll try to watch TV now, go to your room." said Zinoviy and Filipp quickly left for his room. He laid on the bed and opened the television so he won't be lonely and started reading a Starian magazine in Portuguese, on which he was fluent since he had friends from Vitoria, an allied nation to Estenia and his friends were also his teachers. Then he went to take his sandwich, which he had hidden on the fridge. It was cold but still soft and started eating it, Dmitrii Pyotr came towards him and asked having no clue that the fight happened because he was outside at the beach

"What happened? What did I miss?"

Filipp's response was "A fight between me and Zinoviy, I punched him in the jaw and he fainted for half an hour. Where have you been?"

"At the beach with Evgeni and Feofilakt enjoying the Starian sun at the beach, since the last training session for today is over. I met Starians, tried to extend my Spanish. I was good at them at least. Well, I am going to my room to play some games on the computer." answered Dmitrii, then went to his room.

"See you later." said Filipp, then finished his sandwich and went to his room for some sleep.

STAR UNITED STATES- Banija is simply beginning to get ready for sports in this world. Their national soccer team finally qualified for the Coupe D'Esquarium on their 4th try, and just got eliminated today, on the final day of group play in that tournament with a heartbreaking draw against Scotia. Banija has signed up for its first World Lacrosse Championships at the 21st addition, and this nation that is relatively new to lacrosse was able to get its feet wet in this sport as well, scoring the first 4 goals of the game and never trailing as they won their opening match of the World Lacrosse Championships 13-7 against Vangaziland to move into second place in the group with all 3 points clinched, though they are behind on goal difference to the group leaders Nassau-Hessen.

Banija opened up the scoring in the game with a goal from Marko Babic 5 minutes into the 1st quarter. Larry O'Donnell was able to add a second goal 2 minutes later, and Ben Hill was able to add a third goal. Babic added a fourth goal at the end of the first quarter, and they ended the Banijan dominated first quarter of the match up 4-0. Banija was the stronger team in this game, and they showed that throughout the course of the match as they never trailed. Marko Babic had 4 goals in this game, and Nathaniel Ethanus added another 4 goals, which includes a second half hat trick, and the Banijans cruised to victory in this one against Vangaziland.

Head coach Dejan Polek spoke to reporters after the game. "Lacrosse is one of those sports where the matches could always go either way. There is almost no way one team is going to show clear dominance over another, especially in a game at this level, and our boys played well today, clearly evidenced by the fact that we never trailed at any point in this match. We had a strong attack, and I think more importantly, we had a strong defensive effort, only allowing 7 goals. I was happy with our performance, but this game means nothing unless we can build on all the good things that we did."

Reporters then asked him about the next game with Frenline Delpha, and the chance for Banija to clinch a spot in the knockout stages after only two games. "We have a great opportunity to go out there and pull out a victory against Frenline Delpha, and put ourselves in the knockout stages with only one game left to go. This is not an opportunity many teams find themselves in, and we will always go into each match thinking one game at a time. We will practice for the next few days focusing on how we can improve on our performance against Frenline Delpha, and hopefully we can do what it takes to get 3 points from our next game and move onto the knockout stages."

What was key for Banija in this tournament was the placing of teams in the pots. Out of the 32 teams entered for this tournament, 14 of them were ranked. These seeds all went into the first two pots, with the 8 highest rated teams signed up into the 1st pot, and then the next 6, plus two more teams, into the second pot. While Banija got drawn with the #2 team in the world when Nassau-Hessen was picked for their group, it all balanced out with Banija being one of the two nonseeded teams, out of 18, to be in Pot #2. That would mean that they would be in one of the 2 groups, out of 8, that would have only one ranked team in it instead of 2, which would be a lot easier for a side like Banija to make it through the knockout stages.

With this group draw, it is imperative that Banija have a strong showing and are able to defeat Frenline Delpha. All things being considered, especially with Frenline Delpha's beatdown at the hands of Nassau-Hessen, we predict that Banija are able to get the job done. Frenline-Delpha must not have the best confidence after their showing against Nassau-Hessen, and Banija should attack early and often in this matchup. The prediction from this magazine in Banija's upcoming match is a 17-7 victory for Banija, which, along with a predicted Nassau-Hessen victory, will put them through the group stages and put them into the knockout rounds of this tournament.

Star United States

Karp Anatoly and Gleb Eduard as well as the rest of the team were celebrating. A 14-8 win for the Estenians against St.Saratoga which makes them sit conveniently at the top of the scoreboard along with Abanhfleft, both favourites to do well in this tournament. Gleb said

"Karp, we must stop celebrating now. It's been 3 hours since the game was over. We play against Abanhfleft in 2 days from now. We must get a good night's sleep because tommorow we must train hard."

Karp didn't care about Gleb's words but after thinking it for 5 minutes he said "Alright, we will sleep just to train hard tommorow and do well against Abanhfleft in 2 days from now."

Gleb went to his room to get a good night's sleep, but he was stopped by Dmitrii Pyotr, scorer of 8 out of the 14 points Estenia scored who said "Karp isn't at his best, he needs to celebrate. He lost his mum at a car accident two months ago and he's still sad. Be careful."

Gleb didn't know about Karp's mum death and he quickly replied "Alright, I'll be careful. We must take the trophy this time just to make him happy and then make tribute to his mum. As long as I remember, she was working at a factory in Murin, wasn't she?"

Dmitrii answered with his small knowledge "Yeah, she was working there since 1982. I heard she died at the age of 56, one year before she could stop working. It's sad. On another topic, did you hear what the ambitious Shop Owner from the Sword Bloke said?"

Gleb asked "What did he say? Was it dumb again?"

Dmitrii replied "YEAH, dumb as hell. I can't believe his dumbiness. He said he could win Cosumar, San Jose Guayabal and Migli and win the group flawless. They just lost to San Jose Guayabal. Shop Owner is an idiot. He tries to make his players super machines through violence. Sword Bloke deserves a better democratic leader."

Gleb was confused, he couldn't believe his ears while Dmitrii was speaking and he said after a short laughter "What the f*ck? That dude is a large idiot. Overthrow the damn government, hell yeah." then after a small thought he added "Let's go on the website and humiliate him."

Dmitrii answered "Yeah, let's go."

National Lacrosse Team of Electrum
National Team for WLC21

Background
Lacrosse is a burgeoning sport in Electrum. It is known for it's similarity to Electrum's favourite football code: Australian Rules in that players tackle each other for control of the ball. After the WLC18 was announced, a team from Centralis University, the Centralis Eagles, was sent as the representative of Electrum. This newly reformed team consists of new members, as well as some old, as some of the original players have already graduated. The team's focus is teamwork, unity and most of all the spreading of lacrosse spirit all of the country. On their field, their strategy is a particular focus on the midfield, especially regarding turnovers and possession (see below). Their coach, Sam Galloway, is a rugby and hockey expert from Centralis University to offer advice for the team -- he was commissioned last cycle to the team's success.

Team Colours: Gold and Brown

Schedule:
Group G
MD1: Semarland vs Electrum
MD2: Electrum vs Fratton
MD3: Southern Democratic States vs Electrum

Roster
The team's style is +1. There is particular focus on midfield and gaining possession/turnover of the ball as much as possible. This disrupts the rhythm of the opponent and makes it easier for the Electrum team to break through defenses and score goals. They reached the semifinals where they lost, so they were sent to the third place playoffs. At that point, Electrum defeated Jeckland to take third place.

Attackers
2. Jason Zhong (vc) Age: 20
4. Mark Kane Age: 19
5. Jeff Martínez Age: 28

Midfielders
6. Dr. Steven Farmer Age: 39
7. Corey White Age: 22
1. Louis Stephens (c) Age: 25

Defenders
3. Professor Samantha Parks Age: 36
8. Luke Lee Age: 18
9. Joshua Guo Age: 23

Goalie
10. Didier Masseau Age: 19

RP Permissions: Anything bizarre or unrealistic is OK by me, but no injuries or red-cards or anything that makes one of my members miss a game. There is only a team of ten here.

ABANHFLEFT WINS AGAINST CATARONA IN WORLD LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIPS 17-10

STAR UNITED STATES - Surprised to see me here in the CNN itself, instead of just my site, my dear readers? I sure am too! I highly think that this might have something to do with the fact that I have been reporting all of the country's international lacrosse games on my own blog, and CNN thought it would be a good idea if they can pirate me to generate some more traffic to their site whenever lacrosse season comes rolling around. And who am I to refuse their un-refusable offer? It's not like I need more money in addition to the 80,000 penenks per month I already earn from the Verbergerkinnh Cubs.

Hang on a minute, though. This is not my blog site. This is one of the respected news outlets of the country (forget all about that fracas with Chiata and the Flefters--zing!) and I should appear professional here. Easier said than done though, my dear readers.

Where should we start with this? Ah, yes. Abanhfleft triumphed over Catarona 17-10 in the teams' respective first games in the group stage of the 21st World Lacrosse Championships. After an unexpected exit against a mysterious Nassau-Hessen side that was somehow successful in Cosumar despite being, well, mysterious. Anyway, Abanhfleft immediately dominated this game, scoring nine goals in just the first half. CeCe Cuvimi scored five of her eventual nine goals in this scoring spree. Catarona could only manage 3 goals past Ceneisia Repextob.

Catarona managed to get their game together and scored seven goals in the second half, but thankfully Abanhfleft scored eight more goals to keep Catarona at arm's length. And because of such a good performance, Abanhfleft walked away with a deserved win.

Yes, that's all my sleepless brain can come up with right now. I assure you that regular service will resume as soon as I have fallen asleep. And of course, this wouldn't be an Armored Dinner Jacket post without my signature closing line This is the Armored Dinner Jacket saying ciao, peace. Catch you in my next post.
