Thanks to Meski Sports, by RedBlackiland, for the logo

Welcome to the 26th edition of the World Cup of Hockey, hosted by the Royal Kingdom of Quebec! This thread is for the posting of your rosters and RPs, unless you’re the host taking charge of scorinating and hosting this edition of WCoH! Please refrain from posting anything in this thread that is neither roster nor an RP. While including OOC notes in your RPs is fine, posts that are purely OOC belong in the World Bowl Discussion Thread. Additional information will be found in the next few posts.

For information regarding tiebreakers, scorination, and other pertinent infromation, please refer to my bid.

NHL rink dimensions and fight rules are being used in this tournament.

Please make note of your opponents' RP permissions. It is very important that they are followed. We would like to avoid any situation in which RPs would have to be retconned. An RP permissions template has been provided, but feel free to use your own if you so desire.

OOC: Largely referenced from Original Guide to Venue Bids by Valladares for this Copa Rushmori.

Venue Bids: How to submit them successfully!

Hey all! As the Hockey Quebec have stated earlier, this World Cup of Hockey will be a bit different in that the matches will be largely spread across the Multiverse, to celebrate the globalisation of the sport, from Atlantian Oceania to Atlas!

The idea is to give the 55 nations taking part in the competition the chance to host large number of matches for this World Cup of Hockey. Here are some steps that you should follow, as:

1. You must post your application(s) (in the form of an RP) in the everything thread once it is posted. It can also go in the same post as your roster but you must state in it that your stadium is bidding to host matches of the competition; stating something along the lines of "this is Samplestan's home stadium" will not help your chances.

A detailed description of the location, facilities, access routes, and other miscellaneous info which you deem helpful for RPing purposes is encouraged. It is recommended that you also put forward a link or two to give the other RPers some IC informatiion of your city and country! Remember, this will also count towards your RP bonus count.

2. Up to two arenas may be submitted per nation. Also remember that you may bid to host matches of the following stages of the competition: Group stage, Round of 16, and Quarterfinals. As have mentioned earlier in the bid, the semifinals, third-placer and final series will all be played in the Royal Kingdom of Quebec.

3. All applications must be posted on the everything thread. Applications sent by TG or IRC will not be considered.

4. The deadline to submit stadium bids will be set to the previous day to the group draw, and 20-24 of the arenas will eventually be selected as venues at the end of it.

Don't forget to follow the rules, give some detailed information and have fun!

World Cup of Hockey XXVI - Venues

The Twentieth World Cup of Hockey, unlike any other editions of hockey, will have its host stadiums spread all across the Multiverse as a bonus, as have suggested by the winning party of the Hockey Quebec. The HQ in association with and support by the WCoHF, extended their invitation to the competing nations to submit an arena or two to host matches in competition, culminating in a process that landed 12 venues for the round robin stage and first two rounds of playoffs, as well as Maple Leaf Gardens and Montreal Forum which will host the final stages of the Championship. These arenas were split into two groups for match allocation purposes.

Standard Group

  • Whitewater Stadium, Treason, Nephara

This stadium will host the following 12 group stage matches and a Round of Sixteen series:

    MD1-MD4: Group C
Round of Sixteen: Series 7 (#7 vs. #10)

  • Omnium Plaza, Raskstad, Vermark

This stadium will host the following 12 group stage matches and a Round of Sixteen series:

    MD1-MD4: Group F
Round of Sixteen: Series 6 (#6 vs. #11)

Platinum Group

  • Gallen's Cove, Stomguard, Valanora

This stadium will host the following 18 group stage matches and a Quarterfinals series:

    MD1-MD3: Group B
    MD5-MD7: Group F
    Quarterfinals: Series 1

  • Turoki Coliseum, Turoki, Vilita

This stadium will host the following 18 group stage matches and a Quarterfinals series:

    MD1-MD3: Group G
    MD5-MD7: Group H
    Quarterfinals: Series 4

For Montreal and Kingston venues, they will be released after the Game 1 of Quarterfinals.

Home Stadium: Whitewater, Treason (12,000 capacity)
Home Kit: Green jerseys, black pants, white trim
Away Kit: Terracotta jerseys and pants, green trim
Goalkeeper Kit: Indigo jerseys and pants, white trim
Nickname: The Gulls
Captain: Lilith Beresford

Staff
Manager - Aristide Kearney - Age 43
Assistant Manager - Jane Hawthorn - Age 38
Aristide Kearney, a rough Southerner who lead state league club Riverside to be the dominant team of the capital before being picked up by Sabrefell United and leading them to victory as well, was the obvious choice for the Gulls. He's been commended for showing none of the Southern favouritism that those in the hockey heartland of the Northwest feared, and with that concern out of the way Nephara is left with a fierce, determined man, a born leader, who will stop at nothing to see Nephara triumph. Hawthorn played under him before injury ended her career at 33 - she has a natural genius intellect, a talent for biting sarcasm, and a personal relationship with the game's more violent side.

GOALKEEPERS
G - 1 - Ronan Steiner (HC Treason) - Age 27
G - 7 - Juliet Farrier (Sabrefell United) - Age 30
G - 13 - Imogen Beckett (Crisisbless) - Age 24
Steiner is a very capable, reliable goalkeeper, and won't let anyone down - easily the pick of the nation right now, and perhaps destined for a contract abroad. His performances lead him to be given the very first Iron Puck - the award for the league's best player. Farrier is less infallible, but her snap reflexes have stood well by her as she was the backbone of Sabrefell United's title victory. Beckett is a somewhat surprising third-choice, beating the likes of Maximum's Madden, but the good-natured Crisisbless stopper is a more than worthy third option.

DEFENDERS
First Pair

D - 2 - Tanith Starbuck (HC Maximum) - Age 23
D - 3 - Rudolf Bournemouth (HC Treason) - Age 30
Starbuck is the most talented player on the team, taking her place in the division's best defence at the age of just 23. She's very quick, very tough and very hard to shift with a low centre of gravity and a lot of natural balance. Bournemouth is arguably the best defender in the team right now, though, and despite this (like everyone else) being his first year as a true professional, still carries himself with an air of having 'been there' and 'done that.'

Second Pair
D - 8 - Sigrid Carrick (HC Treason) - Age 27
D - 9 - Ulrich Bastable (Sabrefell United) - Age 29
Carrick is the other half of one of the league's toughest, tightest defences, a solid all-rounder. Bastable, by comparison, is a rough, vicious type, but with plenty of technical ability to go along with it, and he was an often underappreciated part of United's attack last season.

Third Pair
D - 14 - Sigrid Holden (HC Maximum) - Age 22
D - 15 - Emma Steelcraft (Chatswood) - Age 31
Holden's good, but raw, and she'll be paired with the rough, ready experience of Chatswood's Emma Steelcraft. Holden's talented but erratic - Steelcraft workmanlike but reliable and with nerves of steel.

Defensive Enforcer
D - 22 - Karl Cliving (Sabrefell United) - Age 31
Captain of Sabrefell United, Cliving (unrelated to Anna or Kirsten Cliving, the footballers) is a massive, hulking beast who loves to utterly destroy his marks. In a team filled with bruisers, Cliving is the one who can utterly crush anyone that comes to fight.

FORWARDS
First Line

C - 4 - Lilith Beresford (Laith United) - Age 27 - Captain
RW - 5 - Markus Guildenstern (Sabrefell United) - Age 23
LW - 6 - Olenna Farham (Vermillion Glory) - Age 26
An exceptionally talented playmaker, club and country captain Lilith Beresford will aim to provide all the supply that the dynamic, incisive Guildenstern and Farham could ask for - and leadership the whole team will benefit from. Young firebrand Guildenstern was designated Sabrefell United's best player last season, and his goals powered them to the championship - but Farham is no slouch either, and doesn't have Guildenstern's hot-bloodedness.

Second Line
C - 10 - Marcia Searle (Sabrefell United) - Age 30
RW - 11 - Theodora Rutherford (Vermillion Glory) - Age 23
LW - 12 - Catheline Keyes (HC Treason) - Age 25
The designated B-team isn't ... really much of a step down at all. Searle is a slow, methodical playmaker, unusually for this team not much of a presence physically but a very technical player, while Rutherford and Keyes are much like the players they deputise for - fast, aggressive wingers.

Third Line
C - 16 - Chase Rutland (HC Treason) - Age 30
RW - 17 - Syrene Leijer (Northern Vale) - Age 24
LW - 18 - Kirsten Reagan (Sabrefell United) - Age 24
Rutland was as much a defender as a forward last season for the powerful defensive bulwark of HC Treason, smashing people before they could get into dangerous positions. Leijer is a violent, dirty winger whose ability makes up for her disciplinary issues, while Reagan is a relentless harrier who could keep going the whole match if needed.

Fourth Line
C - 19 - Mathis Frost (Crisisbless) - Age 22
RW - 20 - Seth Rosencrantz (Laith United) - Age 23
LW - 21 - Cath Scannell (Chatswood) - Age 23
The Gulls' fourth line is one of electric pace and youth. Frost is the most dynamic centre they possess, athletic, muscular and with the stamina to keep going forward forever, while Rosencrantz is a very attack-minded winger who loves nothing more than scoring despite suspect contributions in other aspects. Scannell is a similar finisher, but less selfish - and very intelligent, as well. Definitely one for the future.

Attacking Enforcer
C - 23 - Karsten Farrell (Macambre River) - Age 25
With something of a cocky playboy aspect to his tall, broad frame capped with a blond-highlighted mullet, Farrell might seem like he'd back down in a real fight. In reality, he's a dirty little shit who will take any edge and neither asks nor gives quarter. A pretty good forward in his own right.

Many years of work have finally come to fruition as the newly-founded Nepharim Ice Hockey Association announced that they were finally moving to create a new, professional league. New clubs were created, one for each capital and twelve others for a single First Division of 20 - during this season's state leagues, Second and Third Divisions will be drawn out from existing teams. Teams were highly encouraged to buy players from the local semi-professional state league they were in, but that didn't stop a few high-profile poaches - still, by and large, players will be locally based. At first, anyway.

For all the embrace of a sport some might consider traditionally socialist in format, NIHA will be running it like any other traditional league - no playoff series, no draft, no salary caps, draws permitted, three points for a win and relegation to be implemented in a year's time. The aim of the league is to pave the way for Nephara to become a force in global hockey - and it will, of course, compete in any international club tournaments if that becomes an option.

Sabrefell United, naturally, was one of the first clubs to be formed. "Most of the time United is just a word, but now? This is a club that will knit a large city with very divided loyalties together - a club everyone in Sabrefell can get behind," boasted their manager, Aristide Kearney. United will wear traditional green and black, and have taken a vast majority of the best local players, leaving other southern teams to fight over the scraps. They'll be one of the favourites for the title.

That said, HC Treason, directly affilitated with and helped to its feet by AFC Treason and wearing the same white and red, are probably favourites. The Northwest has always been the true home of the strongest hockey players, and despite more competition for those players Treason still seem to have gotten more than their fair share.

Crisisbless have eschewed any title, after a brief flirtation with 'Steelers' that lead to a lot of online abuse. In a city where the big western team wears white and blue and the big eastern team wears red and black, Crisisbless have diplomatically chosen to wear purple. Something of a wild card.

HC Maximum is expected to be another powerhouse, having largely selected a team of maulers, bruisers and destroyers. In a league that probably doesn't have the greatest talent pool, this might be what is needed most. They'll wear the city's traditional white and black, and by and large carry the city's affection.

Brinemouth City is largely expected to be the weakest capital club - hockey isn't really big on the Lazuli Coast, and despite being one of just two clubs there, it's uncertain if their idealistic free-flowing attack can thrive in what will probably be a very punishing league to play in. They'll wear sky blue and navy.

Cranequin Rovers are another relatively weak capital club, but they do have enough talent in them to at least be dark horses. Support has been encouraging, too - in a city without any football clubs in the top tier, they need something to cling to, and the reasonably powerful Rovers in their green and terracotta colours might just be it.

The optimistically-named Vermillion Glory follow the city's pattern of abstract club names, as well as viciously attack-minded teams. They poached a fearsome set of attackers, one good goalkeeper, and the rest just sort of cobbled together. The orange and black are already favourites among the neutral crowd.

Chenoworth is another city that has never had any footballing giants - the brief heyday of the Rovers has long passed since the beginning of the UICA era - and their white kits are symbolic (according to them) of a blank slate for the city, a chance to establish themselves in a new league. Chenoworth have form for this - they're still the only city who gives a damn about korfball, for God's sake.

Laith United is another 'it's more than just a word' team, and in all honesty they've gotten a fairly good team together. Helped, doubtless, by the fact that the Laith rather sees itself as the unwritten ninth state, they've had a fairly decent pool of hardbitten, dirty players to draw upon. Based out of Serpentine, United will wear jade green and navy blue.

Northern Vale is based in Corvette, wearing black and yellow - another powerful side, with a fair amount of players to draw from in theory but in practice they weren't allotted as much dominance of the north as they might have hoped. Still a decent enough squad.

Leichhardt City is the reason for that - the traditional yellow and blue flag was raised moments after Northern Vale came into being. Both have largely played to stereotypes, in that Leichhardt's players are hard, cynical and hail from the urban centre of the north, while Vale's generally picked more attack-minded rural players.

Iron Athletic is a solid, average squad expected to perform reasonably well. They've largely taken the scraps rejected by Maximum, and have in fact ended up more or less with a worse version of the same idea. They'll wear the city's traditional red.

Southfell is expected, by and large, to be one of the weakest clubs in the new tournament. The south has never been a great place for hockey, and Sabrefell's domination of that local talent has been absolute. They do, at least, have nice indigo uniforms and an attack-minded style.

The Macambre River might have a fairly small area, but as the stream that runs more or less the length of the whole nation and finds a centre broadly in the town of Crossroads has generally produced a fairly above-average group of sportsmen. Secure in their sexuality as well, judging by their pink and black uniforms. They're expected to do alright.

Chatswood were a late but inevitable bolter into the league, given Treason's situation with regards to the outskirts feeling like a different place altogether. As in football, the south-eastern Chatswood of the city might be the hub, but the entire surrounding area of Treason is expected to rally around the sky blues. A strong team, but not a title challenger.

Cypher was another late entrant, but far from an afterthought. A very well-supported club financially, they've invested heavily largely in a core of veterans and youth to support them, more or less ignoring anyone actually in their prime. We'll see if it pays off for the men in blue and red.

There always has to be someone wearing lucky terracotta - and in hockey, it seems, it's HC Creed. One of the supply towns ringed around Maximum that used to supply the great fortress city in medieval times, it is perhaps one of the most hockey-loving towns out there. Expect them to punch above their financial weight.

Coret is the other Lazuli Coast club, with a fair amount of money behind them but grasping at straws as far as state league players go. Their light green and yellow kits (yet another 'city colours' choice) are as light as their squad depth, but they have a reasonably good starting six.

Locksley Town is one of the weakest teams in the competition - much like Southfell, they're simply working off Sabrefell's scraps. But there were a couple of Locksley-based players who stayed loyal, and if they can utilise those stars to best effect might just do alright.

HC Sheridan, compared to all this, seems rather an afterthought. It was a surprise to see them accepted, and their dark green and bright orange kits might look flash on the ice, but in reality they're expected to crash and burn.

And so, the clubs are assembled. The stadiums are ready. The fans are ready. The state leagues are alienated, but willing to fight for their return to the top tier. And the future looks bright.

Time to get this show on the road.

Well, nobody can say it wasn't tight - but at the end of the day, it was the capital city club that won out playing their sweeping aggressive game - with Vermillion sneaking in second. One suspects the northwesterners who entered the season as favourites will be somewhat underwhelmed with finishing third, fourth, fifth and sixth for their best teams. Attendancewise, of course, the season was a resounding success - an initial rush burned out after the first three or four weeks, a steady core staying in place after the honeymoon ended, and then grew steadily in numbers up to the end of the season. Particularly impressive, yet again, is Sabrefell United - who stayed true to their boast of uniting the city behind them. A season, in short, that exceeded all expectations... and the future might just be bright for ice hockey in Nephara.

Go crazy, but don't kill Lord Almighty Gregory. However, expect reciprocation if you injure/kill my players. Also, if you mention my country in an RP but don't call it by its full name (i.e. "Gregoryisgodistan" without any special formatting in the middle) please TG me to give me a heads up.You don't need to wait for permission and I might not even reply. I often search for my country's name so I can respond to RP's more easily, but if you don't mention it by name, that doesn't work. You can also mention it by name in an OOC note somewhere in the RP instead of TG'ing me, since then it will show up in a search. If for whatever IC reason you decide to strike the "isgod" in the name of the nation, as in Gregoryisgodistan, that will not suffice as notification as it will not show up in the search. In that case, TG me or mention my name without the strike either IC-ly or OOC-ly somewhere in your RP. If the formatting effects the whole name (i.e. Gregoryisgodistan, it will still show up in search, so you don't need to do anything else.

Actor 81248D8J is well-known for playing Doybert on the hit TV show "Costa Lunians Say the Darndest Things". Other than that, none of our players are big names.

Dark:

We will wear dark uniforms for home matches. For away matches, if our opponent wears a dark uniform, we will wear white. If our opponent wears white, we will wear our dark uniform.

What's a Pervert Chaser? Sounds inappropriate.
A pervert chaser is someone whose job it is to chase down those accused of sexually-related crimes, like mooning, nudity, indecent exposure, rape, and molestation, and cut off their private organs, then bring them in for trial, sentencing, and either a fine, slave labor, or execution depending on the offense.

Do you have any strange laws?
Yes, lots. All citizens are required to worship Lord Almighty Gregory numerous times each day, sing the national anthem every hour on the hour, and obey numerous other laws under harsh threats of penalty. For instance, uttering the word "coconut", farting, and eating any food other than gruel or prune juice, among numerous other crimes, are punishable by death.

Oh my god, will we have to follow these laws too?
Gregoryisgodistan respects freedom of religion for foreign visitors as long as the visitor's home country respects the freedom of Gregoryisgodistanis to worship Lord Almighty Gregory, their head of state and claimed deity. If you are from a country that has freedom of religion, you will not be subject to the laws of Gregoryisgodistan, with the exception of those against murder, theft, etc. If, on the other hand, your country only allows a state religion, and/or has banned the Church of Gregoryisgodistan, we will enforce our religion and laws on you full force and expect you to follow them or face the same consequences our citizens would.

What's a Horse Beater?
One form of entertainment in Gregoryisgodistan is where a Horse Beat beats horses with all sorts of torture devices, like whips, maces, pepper spray, and machetes, until the horse dies a horrible painful death. It is like rodeos, only more gruesome. These horses are randomly caught in the countryside by Horse Snatchers, then sold to Horse Recruiters, who bring them to the Horse Beating Show.

I'm from a country with sapient ponies. Should we be afraid?
Our laws prevent sapient beings from being beaten, but also define sapient beings as humans or intelligent extraterrestrials. So alien ponies need not worry. Earth ponies, on the other hand, could theoretically be caught, but as long as they do not roam the countryside with wild, non-sapient ponies, they should be fine, since horse snatchers typically do not look for horses in hotels or hockey rinks.

What's an Enemy Crusher?
Enemy crushers are very heavy Gregoryisgodistani government agents whose job it is to crush and torture criminals to get them to reveal information. They almost always kill the criminal. Enemy Crushers at the World Bowl and World Cup of Hockey, among other tournaments, crushed to death numerous fans, referees, and opponents. They were then rewarded by the Gregoryisgodistani government.

Should I be afraid?
Just don't anger an Enemy Crusher and you'll be fine.

Which players like to fight?
The pervert chasers, prison guards, and slave beaters are very prone to fights due to their violent professions. Additionally, the Enemy Crushers have been known to crush opposing players, referees, or spectators. This often results in their deaths, much like what happened at the World Bowl. Nobody other than Enemy Crushers are capable of killing anyone, though pervert chasers carry their private-cutting knife with them at all times, and in the event a player, coach, fan, or spectator commits a sexual-related crime during a hockey match in Gregoryisgodistan, they will cut off their privates in the middle of the match. It might even happen in road matches. This will be very painful. So basically, don't indecently expose yourselves and you should be fine.

Please refer to players by their full name at all times. For instance, our starting goalkeeper should be Enemy Crusher Porky "Fatso The Third" McFattel and our left wing should be Weatherman 92UDH9111. This follows the typical Gregoryisgodistan naming format, which is title and government ID number, except for government VIPs which are title and name. Use both at all times. Do not just say McFattel or 92UDH9111.

The demonym is Gregoryisgodistani. The ice hockey team is nicknamed the Ice Slaves, and you may use this nickname.

Gregoryisgodistan Venue Bids:

Willingsley Arena:

Willingsley Arena is the home of the Gregoryisgodistan National Team. As part of Gregoryisgodistan's unsuccessful bid for the World Cup of Hockey, it was recently expanded to seat 11,000 fans. It is bidding to host matches in the group stage. Ordinarily, fans of visiting teams are forced to hang from the rafters at Willingsley Arena, but for this tournament, they will be allowed in the stands as well. Additionally, there is room for another 1,500 of them to hang from the rafters should there be enough demand for tickets, bringing the capacity up to 12,500. It is the largest hockey-specific arena in Gregoryisgodistan, though as you will soon find out, not the largest arena in Gregoryisgodistan capable of hosting hockey. It has hosted many of Gregoryisgodistan's World Cup of Hockey home matches and seen its share of crushings.

Due to the large number of capital crimes in Gregoryisgodistan, any visiting team selected to play in Gregoryisgodistan, along with any visiting fans, will be given cards proving they are in Gregoryisgodistan for the tournament, and will not be required to follow most of the more trivial laws, such as those prohibiting farting or sneezing, as long as they have their card on them at all times. Laws against murder, assault, rape, etc. as well as against lesser crimes which are still illegal in most places, such as drug possession, drunk driving, and streaking, will still be enforced and will result in execution. This will also apply to the bid by Lord Almighty Gregory Arena.

Image

Lord Almighty Gregory Arena

The Lord Almighty Gregory Arena is bidding to host a Round of 16 or Quarterfinal match. As part of Gregoryisgodistan's unsuccessful bid for the World Cup of Hockey, the arena was renovated so it could hold hockey events as well as basketball events. This involved replacing the fixed seats behind the baskets with retractable seats, as the ice hockey rink is more than twice the length of the basketball court. While the overall capacity for basketball did not change and is still 17,500, the capacity for ice hockey is the slightly smaller 14,700 due to the fact that some of the seats behind what would be the baskets and on the sides are retracted to make room for the ice hockey rink. For basketball, there are now risers protruding from the end of the lower level behind the baskets that seat 900 people each. These will be retracted for the hockey matches, A few rows of seats on the sides will also be retracted for hockey because the hockey rink is wider. Although the hockey rink is 35 feet wider, it is not necessary to retract 35 feet worth of stands because there was some space between the stands and the court to make room for press tables and the scorers table. There are also special seats where the penalty boxes are in ice hockey that retract. This reduces the capacity by another 1,000 seats. The rest of the lower bowl (and the rest of the arena) will be open. As a result of this different seating arrangement, fans should keep in mind that the front row on the sides of the rink in the lowermost level is Row D, not Row A, as Rows A-C will be retracted on both sides. Behind the nets, the lowest row is row AA, since the row counting starts with the risers. Therefore, fans should be on the lookout for counterfeit tickets claiming to be in Row A of the lower level. Fans finding these tickets, or who accidentally bought such tickets, should contact the Gregoryisgodistan National Police as soon as possible, as counterfeit, fraud, and forgery are all capital crimes in Gregoryisgodistan. These laws will be enforced against anyone who knowingly sells counterfeit tickets, regardless of whether or not they are Gregoryisgodistani. The Gregoryisgodistani government will request that offenders residing abroad be extradited to Gregoryisgodistan to pay for their crimes. However, foreigners' families will not be executed.

Lord Almighty Gregory National Arena has previously hosted Lord Almighty Gregory National University's home matches during the NSCAA, as well as the Almighty Ten Conference Tournament, which actually featured 16 teams. However, this would be the first event held in the arena post-renovation as well as the first hockey event to be held at the Arena. During the renovations, LAGNU was forced to play in the much-smaller Campus Avenue Arena, located on campus, which holds a mere 3,000 fans. Campus Avenue Arena is also home to the University's volleyball team. The basketball team is expected to move back to Lord Almighty Gregory Arena full time next season.

Image

In the event either bid wins, visitors should note ticket scalping is a capital crime in Gregoryisgodistan and this law will be enforced against everyone, foreigner or citizen. Ticket scalping is defined as selling tickets for above face value - it is permissible to sell tickets at or below face value. "Face value" is defined to include any fees, excluding sales tax, but including processing fees and the like, that would have been paid on the ticket if purchased directly from the primary vendor. The cost of shipping may be included only if there is no option to "print at home" and even then, it may only be the cost of the least expensive shipping option possible based on where the seller resides. If there is a print at home charge, this may be included instead, unless it is more than the cheapest shipping option, in which case that will be what is included. For the purposes of this law, "Will Call" is not considered a delivery option even if it is offered. This structure applies regardless of whether the ticket is actually purchased from the primary vendor or is purchased from someone else. For instance, if the original vendor has a fee of 2 NS Dollars per ticket, and offers print at home for free, it is permissible to sell tickets for up to 2 NS Dollars above listed value, regardless of whether one actually paid this fee to the vendor, paid more to someone else, or paid less (or nothing) in fees to another vendor. It is permissible for scalpers who have to ship the tickets to charge for it, though charging more than postage plus reasonable expenses (gas to get to the post office, cost of an envelope, etc.) is considered price gouging and is also a capital crime.

Walamzia Roster and Site Bid
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose My Scorers: Yes
Godmod Scoring Events: Yes, to an extent
RP Injuries to My Players: Yes, only minor injuries
Godmod Injuries to My Players: TG me
RP Penalties for My Players: Yes
RP Ejections for My Players: TG me first
Godmod Other Events: You can make first names for my players, but they must make sense to English speakers. TG me first if you plan on breaching this rule. You can make PP and PK lines at your discretion if they help you RP.

Dear friends of the Multiverse:

The Republic of Walamzia and the Walamzia Hockey Association would like to invite all of you to consider the WalSport Arena as a site bid for the 26th World Cup of Hockey.

Image:

Image

(Apologies for the octopus, that was a test to see what would happen if we dropped something on the arena floor pre-game.)

Fast Facts:

Year Built: 2013
Location: Rottington, Walamzia
Use: The arena has been used primarily for concerts, presidential speeches and debates, and as a venue for viewing parties for other sports. However, hockey was the reason why this arena has been built, and the Rottington Roughriders will move in when the WHL debuts in June 2015.
Capacity: 24,508
Amenities:
- State-of-the-art lighting and sound systems
- Built so noise could be kept in and amplified to add to the atmosphere of the hockey game or other events
- Movie-theater quality seats, to add comfort to everyone's viewing experience
- 14 executive boxes, 30 suites, and a private entrance for those people who have those tickets
- 3 standing-room-only sections, built behind the home bench, to add a soccer-style experience for those who want it. Those sections have rail seats, so they may be seated sections if required.
- An entrance for the home players and a separate entrance for the visiting players. The home entrance will be located below the executive and suite ticket gate.
Parking:
- For those who have purchased an executive or suite ticket, parking will be available just outside their entrance. They will be in the same parking lot as the home team to save space.
- For those who do not have a premium ticket, there are several parking garages located within a 3-block radius of the arena. For the World Cup of Hockey, the away supporter's parking lot from the national soccer stadium will also be made available for those not lucky enough to get in to the garages. The parking lot is a 1-mile walk from the arena, and a shuttle service will be provided for a fee of $5 for a round-trip shuttle. Every parking garage has at least 5,000 spaces, so the rented lot may not even be used at all.

About Rottington

Rottington is the capital city of Walamzia, and it is the most heavily populated. It has its own subway system, which will run extended hours for the World Cup of Hockey if needed. There are 5 premium hotels within a 10-mile radius of the Sports Complex, which includes the WalSport Arena, the Walamzia National Stadium, Pensikton Park, and, located in right-field of Pensikton Park, the headquarters of the different Walamzian sporting federations. It is affectionately called Tennis House because the Walamzian Tennis Federation occupies 60% of the building.

Special Notes About Walamzia:

We do not follow the International Statute of Secrecy of 1692, so you may run into some witches and wizards in Rottington. They are very friendly people, and they have been told to avoid using magic to affect the public for the duration of the group stage so as not to frighten our guests from other nations. If, however, you see a witch or wizard perform magic, do not be alarmed. That rule only applies to magic being used to affect the public. (OOC note: IF you RP and you see someone using magic to unlock the door to their house, keep calm and carry on.)

Thank you for viewing this bid, and we hope that you will consider the WalSport Arena and Rottington, Walamzia for the World Cup of Hockey group stage.

Godmod Scoring Events: No
RP Injuries to My Players: Yes (Nothing too bad please - anything up to broken bones is fine)
Godmod Injuries to My Players: No
RP Penalties for My Players: Yes
RP Ejections for My Players: Yes

Well, this is it. The World Cup of Hockey, and Neyosil is actually taking part. Wow.

Of course, everyone knows that the Neyosil Sabres have an unbeaten track record, but that might just be to do with the fact that they're a brand new team who haven't actually played a match, ever. True, they've never lost, but equally, they've never won either.

So, without further ado, here's the list of players for this competition.

# Pos Name
60 G Nikolaus Ibbott
11 G Amos MacBranain
23 D Nick Mallory
12 D Samad Franke
66 D Milan Hoffmann
29 D Botros Kopp
78 RW Vespasianus Spalding
7 RW Uzziel Linna
72 LW Kemp Landolfi
96 LW Spyridon Victore
2 C Theudemar Lamar
66 C Martin Vaughan

Of course, the city of Gigesburg is delighted to be able to place a bid to host some of the matches of this prestigious tournament. Neyosil's capital city shines like a beacon, calling out to the nations of Earth (and, so I hear, some from other planets - like that's possible!) saying "Come unto me, ye who labour, and..." Wait, no, that's the Bible. But yeah, Gigesburg is proud to host a new, purpose-built ice rink especially for the WCoH. The FolksEesabane Neyosese can seat up to 5000 spectators, and provides all the amenities required by the international hockey community. It is easy to get to, being just two blocks north of Gigesburg's Asaswen station, and has easy access for visitors of all levels of physical ability.

Image

So, that's about all there is to say with regards to the WCoH. I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about when I see you again. It looks like it's going to be a good one. Call me when you get this message. Love you.
Demonyms: Neyoese (noun, sing. and plu.); Neyosese (adj.)
Trigramme=NYS

Manchardas and Oxnein are my puppet nations OOC. IC, there is no greater link between the three than there is between the UK, Russia and Ethiopia IRL, so please don't mention anything about puppetry in an IC thread.

RP Notes
There is one professional hockey league in Neu Engollon, the NEHL, but it is more on par with most nations' minor leagues, rather than a major league. There is also a strong collegiate tradition in the sport. The Ibex are pulled from a mix of both the Collegiate League and NEHL, but most of the stronger players come from Burgunden University or the Ciavno Jackals, the top NEHL team. Due to the early retirement of Head Coach Le Houne and the unexpected departure of his replacement, Assistant Coach Mondavssen, the Sports Ministry sought foreign talent to reform the Coaching staff, as well as reorganize and train the team to a higher standard of International competition. Thus the new regime under Head Coach Liu Qiang An and Assistant Coach Siegler now at the helm.
Lineups and pairings are not set in stone. Feel free to mix and match, if you RP first.
TG me with questions if you got some, especially about GE&T or PMCs.

Vanorian Arena Bid for WCoH XXVI

Gallen's Hove (32,000), Stormguard
Image

Gallen's Hove is the largest of arena's in all of Valanora, with an astounding thrity-two thousand all seater capacity. It stands at the base and in the shadow of Mount Humar and on the banks of the Ariela on the other side, marking one of the traditional paths into northern Valanora with the mountain chain in the east. In its location, you can get the beautiful backdrop of the mountains on one side, lush plains to the north and south, with a thick forest on the west past the banks of the river, as it is located on the northwestern edge of Stormguard. With its location on the edge of the city, a pair of monorail tracks stop at the arena, one from the inner city and one from the southern half of the city. To accommodate its remote location, there are a trio of resturaunts located within the arena, with your choice of Pasta & Pizza, Seafood, or more "festive" meals that are typically associated with RLVerse's American style foods.

SKATES & STICKS

A New Ibex Team Jumps Into The Cup

By Bernhard Maier

It was doubtful that the Ibex would even make it to the 26th World Cup, but after much deliberation, the Sports Ministry and the NEHL bowed to pressure and were able to get the paperwork filed last minute. The topsy turvy events following the 25th Cup and the loss of not one coach, which was expected, but his replacement, Mondavssen, threw the team off completely to where many thought it was the end of Ibex hockey as we knew it. It has been a disappointing year all around for International competition when it comes to Neu Engollian teams. Where most teams had made gains in their individual sports over the past few years, all had taken a big slide in preparedness, competitiveness and ranking this season, except for rugby, where Neu Engollon still holds steady in the top three.

But getting back to the Ibex in particular,
Many think that Herald Mondavssen, when faced with the storm of fan unhappiness at his taking the helm from retiring Coach Le Houne, quit in disgust. They would be wrong. The former immigrant of Glisandia turned citizen didn't have hockey in mind at all in his decision, but rather had decided to travel back north indefinitely to help his wartorn former homeland, and the family that he left behind. He will be working with Astyrian humanitarian organizations to help in areas they can reach, which are mostly those newly liberated from occupation under the Yellow Star Republic.

Frantically, the Ministry sought replacements for Le Houne and Mondavssen, but with the dark cloud hanging over the Ibex, it was difficult to lock on to the domestic talent they wanted.
The NEHL coaches that did initially have interest balked, or were turned away after a disappointing interview and salary negotiation process. Inside sources tell us that the Ministry actually decided to put up a larger contribution to the coaching staff salary, but were not satisfied with giving that to any of the NEHL coaches in contention for the job, deeming them not up to the caliber needed to revitalize the team.
Enter foreign candidates. It wasn't much longer, after widening their search outside the Confederacy, that both a replacement for the Head Coach spot and for the Assistant spot were locked in.

Liu Qiang An, the Avatarian legend, started out as a player in the AHL, with his most popular stint in the Kyrimorut Ramikade during the halcyon days at the turn of this century. He retired from the AHL, finishing out his last couple years with the Beijing Stars. He took the natural progression up in the ranks of the sport to begin coaching University level hockey. After successful runs as both the Assistant Coach at Kyoshi State and taking the Head Coach job at the University of Keldabe, Liu jumped into the AHL again, this time taking his coaching experience to a whole new level. He went from the Taku Ruins, both as Forwards Coach and one season as Assistant Coach, to the Enceri Miners, again in the Assistant Coach spot, where he served two seasons before being lured away by the Gaoling Bears, where he has continued to push the Bears, one of the best teams in AHL history, to excellence since the 2013 season.

It was during his tenure with the Taku Ruins that he came to the attention of the Gyatso-kai National Team, who took him on as the Assistant Coach under another legend, Kad Skirata, who led the National Team into many playoffs of the World Cup. After taking a break from World Cup class hockey, Liu comes out of retirement to take the head mantle of the Ibex and help to bring them back onto the path they once were on, a rising International power.

All he needed was an able assistant.
Enter Geoffrey Siegler, who debuted in the Aquitaynian National League when he was 18, and started for the Telora Cavaliers for the majority of his domestic career. He was invited to the Men's National Team at the age of 19, becoming one of the youngest men on the world stage of hockey, and retained his position as a Left Wing Striker throughout his career. Now 38, Siegler is a well-seasoned veteran with multiple domestic championships under his belt, and arguably, has led the National Team of Aquitayne to the Round of 16's in the past three tournaments after being announced as the team Captain in the WCoH21.

Both men signed on gladly, moving their families to Albertville, Rhone, Neu Engollon, and have been working closely with each other and the Ibex to get the team in shape for another World Cup bout. It was rumored to be a rough start, as Avatarian and Aquitaynian hockey are both very different styles from what the Ibex have traditionally brought to the ice. Breaking through that barrier of resistance to change was always going to be the toughest part for the new coaching staff, but somehow, through it all, they have endeared themselves to the Ibex and revolutionized the program.

Originally, it was presumed that they would work intensively for a year with the players, and sit this next World Cup out, but plans, and the attitude of the Ministry changed. It was decided that, ready or not, the Ibex would be thrown into the fire, or the 26th installment of the World Cup, depending on one's point of view.
We will get to see that new style of play in the first group matches in this edition of the World Cup. As well we look forward to seeing the new players for the team in action: Gavnic, Weissbaum and Ruggiero, who come in to replace the retiring Valentino De Gratzo, Brizio Farducci and Lothar Dermbech. More coverage to come on the new players and coaching staff in my next column.

Notes

Feministvs Sanctvsterra plays all of their matches on the road, since they are no longer welcome in the former Federation of Free Republics (now the Holy Republican Empire) and because the Holy Republicans have threatened to invade any nation that would openly provide a home base to Feministvs Sanctvsterra.

The players on this team previously competed at the Games of the VIII Olympiad as the Feministvs Sanctvsterra Field Hockey Team. There, they won 2 matches and drew another in the group stage and defeated Darmen in the Round of 16 before falling to Valanora in the Quarterfinals. While they have never competed in a competitive ice hockey match, they have been training in recent months to prepare themselves for their first World Cup of Hockey.

Hockey, to the Quebecois, means more than just a game. It means to them their heart, their soul, and their livelihood. It's the sport most of them grow up with, and follow to various degrees of extent. It is the sport that they proudly display their allegiance to, even in the most obscure of the Multiverse. The results, from A to Z, can lead to the most drastic of reactions coming from the fans. Heck, in Quebec, even death waits on hockey.

This is of no exception in the collegiate stage either. High school hockey, one of the many branches of hockey followed, is of no exception. Played by the high school players still attending their respective schools with same academic standards, Quebecois communities rally onto their sporting institutions of hockey teams, whether they be in cities or remote communities. With their eyes on the provincial championship, they all shout, cheer and cry, as the actions unfold on the ice.

This is a story of one of the communities, and the men who fought through their journey to win the Provincial Championship. In spite of the differences, the personal crises and the death of the legendary coach, they won one after another to reign as the OFSAA champions. Against all circumstances, they thrived and succeeded.

This is their story.

Introduction to OFSAA Boys' Hockey Championship Tournament
Round of Sixteen Results- 1/2, Class AA

Hockey Night Lights- Day 1, Part 1

Erskine C.I. Redmen 3-3 St. Thomas College Titans (4-3 2OT)

Overtime was a blur of red, black and white as the teams played the fastest hockey yet that game, pinning each other against the boards and throwing heavy checks as they attempted to find the winning goal. The moments passed from one to another as the players sought to deal with the intensity. Finally the game came to end in 12th minute into 2nd overtime, as the Redmen managed to score. Campoli won the faceoff, passed it back to Dillon Boucher. The left sided defenceman quickly launched a long pass to the opponent zone, making Claude Cho a run for the puck with Zachary Smith. With his speed, Cho got to it first, before slipping it in just behind Gilles Bouchard's skate and overextended pad, in what was an epic wristshot goal. The lights turned on, the crowd went wild, and Erskine advanced to face Guelph College in Quarterfinals.

.............

HOME Locker Room, Maple Leaf Gardens, Kingston, Frontenac
14:12, Quebecois Standard Time

The game had ended, the final goal made five minutes prior, and the men of the Erskine Collegiate Institute Varsity Boys' Hockey Team were now seated in the Home Locker Room awaiting the arrival of Head Coach Clark Cho; who had stepped off the line for an interview with TVA Sports. After a 4-3 victory -- 2 goals by Claude Cho, 2 assists from Dillon Boucher and Dave Katsuya, and even 34-save night from Helenius --- Cho was sure the Head Coach would have plenty to talk with everyone, before returning to the warm confines of home and school communities.

Claude Cho, the son of the Head Coach and a top prospect in about 2 years, found himself sitting in front of his to-be-cleared locker; They had to ship the kits and uniforms for a day, in order to give ways to 4 other teams playing in Class A Round of Sixteen matches tomorrow. Cho knew who they were facing off against, but didn't really care for it. For him, they didn't mean much. After beating Lang Park and Torrens in the Division Playoffs, there was no one of any significance that he had faced yet, or will for a while. Torrens, ranked 5th, wouldn't be facing them until at least semifinals, while Lang Park's not even in Provincials.

Facing Torrens.....with mother in attendance.

Claude Cho thought of the possibility of facing R.H. Torrens Academy and their Lions. Cho, though of different school on the other side of Kingston, knew the school very well. His father was a longtime member in the school community, where he taught history, and coached hockey(Head Coach) and football(defensive co-coordinator). And while Clark himself wasn't from the Scarborough area, his wife Ainsley (nee McDowell) was. She attended Torrens in late 80s-early 90s, serving as the editor of school newspaper for last two years, before moving on to University of Kingston.

With both his parents having been a part of the school community, he was very familiar. In fact, if it wasn't for his father's insistence in attending Erskine due to academic reasons, he would have been a Torrentine. His home was only 2 blocks away from Torrens after all, and most of his pre-Erskine friends were from in the area. Facing his friends and the neighbourhood sounded just as sweet as it could've been for him, as he smiled into the other side of the locker room.

Scarborough versus Midtown....How sweet can it be?

The doors opened to the Locker Room, with Head Coach Cho walking through. The room soon silenced itself, each man standing quickly. Cho stood in the middle of the room, a brief tap to his chest relaxed the men.
Seeing that his men were calm and relaxed, Coach Cho proceeded to speak with the vitesse in his voice.

"Congratulations for the victory, gentlemen," He said, looking at every one of his players. "But in a hard-fought victory that really should have been a blowout. We should've done better, and we all know it. However, it should also be mentioned that we nonetheless have worked hard to maintain our composure and win, so props to each one of you on that."

"Based on the fixtures, our next opponent most likely is going to be Guelph College, whom we have drawn to a tie in pre-season earlier this year. They have good core of players, largely recruited from all across the Western Quebec, to play for them. They are here for a good reason as well, and that is to win the Provincials. They won't go as easy on us, so we better be putting on quite a show to defeat them."

Then Cho motioned to one of his assistant coaches and gave a light sigh. He could hear loud noise of cheers and shouts coming from the students and parents. "Seeing as there's shitload of people waiting outside, we will do the debriefing after dinner. 8 O'Clock sharp in skate, at Erskine Memorial Rink. Debriefing, then a scrimmage or two. Since Guelph College has recorded and posted all their games in RougeTube, I'd love if you guys watch some bits of their games before the practice. You're all dismissed now."

As the Jang-goon turned to leave, the younger Cho reached for his phone, and quickly typed out a message to his friend.

Game's over. We won. I'll see you in band!

Just as his fellow players were out of gym, he hit SEND and put his phone in his locker.

World Cup of Hockey XXVI Venue Bid

Image
Turoki City, Turoki :: Home to reigning Vilitan Hockey League runners-up Turoki Islanders, the Turoki Coliseum is nestled outside Turoki City and accessible via Turoki City transportation hubs.

The 26,170 all-seater arena is one of the oldest in the VHL but went through extensive renovations prior to the re-start of the VHL competition.

One of the main concerns about the pre-upgraded Turoki Coliseum was the narrowness of the passageways causing congestion in the concourse during intermissions. This problem was solved with a multi-level system, an 'express' walkway of sorts installed around the concourse to clearly delineate the walking portions from the Food, Souvenir and Facilities queues.

The Turoki Coliseum is famous for having the best sightlines in the VHL, with no obstructions and quality view angles available from every seat in the house.

The spacious, empty lots surrounding the arena provide the perfect canvas for any associated vendors, displays or event - related activities that need to be set up at the venue. Transportation options include regular shuttles from all major downtown Turoki transportation hubs.

Conveniently located in the center of Atlantian Oceania, the Turoki Coliseum offers the perfect combination of history, quality facilities and accessibility that will likely be desired of any venue candidates. Turoki's proximity to the Royal Kingdom of Quebec also make the Coliseum an ideal candidate for late-competition matches with a view to minimizing travel for the final round competitors to the Semi-Final locations.

Pays d'en Haut's Arena Bid

Some useful info about tourism in les Pays d'en Haut:
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=327957&start=99

As said in the link provided, les Pays d'en Haut is a medieval country ruled by the 13 ruling clan leaders and to become a ruling clan leader, one must be a clan leader and kill a ruling clan leader to take his place. Speaking another language than French is chargeable of death penalty but tourists can carry an orange fluo card around their neck to show they are a tourist and be allowed to speak another language then French. (I kinda stole the card idea from Greg) Tourists can't stay longer than two weeks but it can be extended during the World Cup of Hockey. Also being gay and being a sapient pony is chargeable of death penalty. Sapient ponies will be allowed to come in les Pays d'en Haut without being killed for the duration of the World Cup.

Les Pays d'en Haut only has one international airport, the Aéroport International de Mirabel. Airlines companies providing flights to Pays d'en Haut are Southern Airlines ( Southern Democratic States) and Smiler Airlines (Miley World), you can also transit via Electrum as Southern Airlines (SDS) has a partnership with AirElectrum. Flights frequency entering and leaving les Pays d'en Haut are 2 times a week, mostly on the weekend. We have no technology in les Pays d'en Haut and no wifi. During the World Cup 70 we have build a technology center for foreign journalists so they can watch the games and take hand written notes, then go to the technology center, and write their article using a dial up internet.

We have no cars in les Pays d'en haut, the only way of transportation is by horse, carriage and a modern steam train who goes south-north from Rosemère to Mont-Tremblant but you won't need the train during the World Cup of Hockey. Hockey teams and fans as well will be able to rent carriages to travel from the airport to the hotel to the arena.

Map of les Pays d'en Haut. The airport is located close to the number 50. Boisbriand and Terrebonne are located south-east:
Image

Here are the arenas:

Centre d'excellence Sports Rousseau:
Capacity: 3,100
Location: Boisbriand
Tenant: Armada de Boisbriand
Centre d'excellence Sports Rousseau is the largest arena in les Pays d'en Haut and it is located relatively close to the airport in Mirabel. Its located in the Boisbriand/Blainville/Sainte-Thérèse metropolitan area which has slightly over 100,000 inhabitants.
Image

Cité du Sport de Terrebonne
Capacity: 1,200
Location: Terrebonne
Tenant: Club de Hockey Habitant de Terrebonne (the Habs)
Cité du Sport de Terrebonne is the 3rd largest arena in les Pays d'en Haut and it's located in Terrebonne, the largest city which has slightly over 100,000 inhabitant. If you count neightbor cities like Repentigny and Mascouche, the area has 233,000 inhabitants. Terrebonne is located 30 km away from the airport and if your carriage goes at 10 km/h, it takes approximatively 3 hrs to go from the airport to the arena.

Postby Walamzia » Sun Jan 25, 2015 4:35 pm

This is the story of a fledgling hockey nation trying to find its skates in the hockey world.... this is Walamzia.

Y'know, Walamzians are proud of their sports teams. They cheer every hero and boo every villain. They rise and fall with their hometown teams. They share rivalries with neighboring towns for various reasons: civic pride, a clash of culture, or just simply... pure hatred.

And now, for the first time ever, Walamzia plays hockey.

Walamzians are proud of their sports teams... all of them are proud of their country.

For residents of Tyne River and Fleetwood, this is the chance for them to sing with one voice. For Calaceans and Rottingtonians... a chance to eat together. For the fishing towns of Peterton and Stuartown... two towns on opposite ends of the country... a chance to get together. To be proud of one nation and one team.... the Walamzian National hockey team.

Now, let us take you to the WalSport Arena for the official introductions of the team names and colors for the new Walamzian Hockey League.

Rottington Roughriders... they're rough, tumble, but very rich. They're supported by the rich folk that live in the nation's capital. And you're in their home arena... an arena that's going to be pretty busy for the World Cup if all goes well. They'll wear red and white.

Tyne River Miners... a team that will hurt you and take no prisoners. For them, this is a way out of poverty, a way out of the miserable coal mines. They play at their famous St. Mark's Arena, an arena paid for by the mining company. They'll play in black and white.

Fleetwood Aces... Tyne River's mortal enemy. While Tyne River embraces the company who employs them, Fleetwood hates theirs. You see, they're a lumberjacking town, and they look down on the coal miners, and they treat them as if it's a very dirty job that poor people do. Little do they know, their standard of living isn't that good either, but don't tell them that. They play in green and white, and their arena is primarily built on the woods of the Fleetwood Forest, a fact their town is proud of. They're also proud of making all the hockey sticks for the players... except the Miners, who have to buy theirs imported.

Peterton Sharks... the pride of the South... or so they claim. Peterton is a fishing village close to the ocean, and most of the people there love to fish. Unfortunately, pond hockey is almost impossible, so hockey has to be played indoors... and only by the rich. Peterton is notorious for high ticket prices and no spending on real talent. They play in black and yellow.

Stuartown Whalers.. the pride of the North. They are also a fishing village, but they are in the frigid north, where pond hockey is plentiful. The poor people see hockey as a way out of the cold, but they love their city early, and some Stuartownies will take pay cuts to stay home. The rich of the town like skiing and indoor tennis. This town is also home to the Walamzian Academy of Magic, so expect a few young wizards lurking about. They play in green and blue.

Calacea Carriers... the down home country folk. All they really care about is football, fast cars, and easy women. They'll charge the lowest ticket prices in the league, but no one's going to come and watch. The World Bowl is a concern, but that'll be done with before the hockey league is here. I don't envy the road teams that have to come here... there's no hotel big enough to house an entire hockey team, and they like it that way. They play in blue, red, and white.

So, there's your 6 teams for the new league, and we will catch up with our national team shortly.
