Format
Double round robin, with all matches either held in Mizuyuki or Electrum (Groups to be split between the two nations). There are 8 groups of 6, top three nations advancing to the round of 24. All groups will play home-and-away in their own nations, instead of last time, where they were in Electrum or Mizuyuki. Only once they've reached the finals will they go to Electrum/Mizuyuki.
At the conclusion of the group stage, teams will be reseeded, with 1-8 for group winners, 9-16 for runners up, 17-24 for second runners up. It will then be a bracket tournament, with best of three. The final will be a best of five.
Scorination Details
The latest version of xkoranate will be employed. RP bonus, as is usual, will be allocated in direct proportion to quality instead of quantity, although both factors will necessarily be taken into account when grading RPs. The grading formula agreed upon will not be disclosed but due to the nature of the rankings, roleplay is highly generous. Referring to rosters, interacting with other nations and using the available IC information will be favoured. Generally, Mizuyuki and Electrum will look to cut off at 0900 UTC, which is 8PM Melbourne time, or 5PM Malaysia time.
Tiebreaks are, in order, H2H, H2H PD, H2H PF, Overall PD, Overall PF - if the tie cannot be resolved with the above, we will resort to using a coinflip to break the tie.

How to do well in this tournament
Scores are randomly generated by a program called xkoranate, with extra bonuses given to those who roleplay. The first thing you should do is to create a roster (essentially a list of your players, coaching staff, etc.), which will give you a nice starting off bonus. Then, everyday, just post a roleplay! It can be as simple as a match report, to a TV show to an interview or a fully fledged storyline. The possibilities are endless. We understand if you don't have the time to RP, but remember the golden rule, quality is greater than quantity. Every day is a new opportunity to do well. In any case, if you do RP excellently every day, this does not mean you are guaranteed to win, just that there is a higher chance of you winning. There is always a random chance that you won't win, so blame Margaret (we hear she loves rubber chickens) -- the goddess of chance if you have any problems.
