This thread is also for any IC information that might not belong in the RP thread, such as national anthems, traditions, flag bearers, officials, judges and other prominent characters from your nation(s) that are not competing as athletes. Biography: The vast majority of Schutzenphalia and West Ruhntuhnkuhnland's mainland territory lies within the boundaries of the Alps, and so an alpine skier was always likely to be chosen as the representative flagbearer for the opening ceremony. Jan von Eicheln is a 30 year old mainstay of the Schutzenphalian ski circuit, and although he may be slightly too old to enjoy the full fruits of the country's entry into international sports, he will get his chance to carry the flag at the nation's first ever Winter Olympics. He qualified for the technical events of giant slalom and slalom, and will make up the numbers in super-combined after the late withdrawal of a previous entrant despite having not raced competitive downhill in years, and is the leader of the men's team. Hopes for the Schutzenphalian men are lower than those for the women, but many will be hoping von Eicheln can help bring pride on the slopes. He competes for Rüftberg-Schi, on the estate of his family, and works as an instructor outside of the competitive season.
