The Baseball Club Championships (BCC)

Format

The top team from each nation will join the Baseball Club Championships. Teams will be drawn into an even number of groups, and the group winners plus as many second-place finishers as needed will qualify to the knockout rounds. The first few rounds of the knockouts will be home-away-home best two of three, while the finals will be a best-of-five series.

The second-place team from each nation will join the Unity Cup, which will have a similar format to the BCC. Teams may be "promoted' from the Unity Cup to the BCC to make up numbers, but this will be very rare.

How to Join

Simply post your league's final table and RP (usually not included, but it will boost your score) and fill out a form like so:

Hosting Bids

IC-ly, the host's stadium will host the final series. OOC-ly, the host does nothing. If you'd like to have your stadium host the BCC Finals, include stadium name, city, capacity, a short blurb about your stadium, and (optional) an image.

Multi-national and puppet leagues

Each nation is allowed one puppet league. Puppets must be confirmed. Multi-national leagues will be determined on a case-by-case basis for the first edition, but will usually be given one spot for every nation in the league system. Please specify if you are running a puppet league or multi-national league.

The First BCC Cutoff will be tentatively set to January 15, 2014.

Ko-oren (KOR) Qualifiers

Baseball Club Championships: Silvamar Penhascos
Unity Cup: Pays d'Amillon

The Grand Final of the Ko-orenite baseball season turned out to be a replay of the Southeast Conference rivalry between the Silvamar Penhascos and Pays d'Amillon, won in three games by the Lusophones. The Southeast Conference was too strong in more than just this way: half of their conference qualified for the Playoffs. The five conference winners qualified along with three wildcards: two of those wildcards went to the Southeastern Conference. The Esashi Rainbows were the third wildcard team. The Midnorth and the Southwest have work to do: they both had just one playoff team, and they were eliminated in Round 1 of the Playoffs.

The Baseball Cup (Fleftic: Kopa ng Beisbol) is an annual Fleftic baseball knockout competition open to the sixty teams in the three tiers of Fleftic baseball. The competition began in 2009 as the Abanhfleft Baseball Federation Cup, but this has since been shortened into the easier, more recognizable name just one year later. This year, the Abanhfleft Baseball Federation announced that this will be the last year that the competition will be running without a sponsor, and that a corporate sponsor will be announced just before the beginning of the 2015 Cup.

All sixty teams are randomly drawn into pairs by means of a lottery. Both teams will play two games, one in both their home stadiums, and the winners are determined by aggregate runs, with the away goals rule taking effect if both teams are equal in aggregate after both games. This process will continue until only two teams are left, and these teams will face off at a neutral venue, randomly selected once there are 16 participants.

Info: Diamond of the Gulf is situated in the port city of Villitova that sits on the Gulf of Chiata. The name is both reference to the shape of the playing field, the beauty of the stadium, and the beauty of the coast along the Gulf. The stadium is the home field for the Lakewood Leaders, who, ironically, finished mid-table in the debut season for the CBL East Division. Many Lakewood fans have nicknamed the stadium The Dog, which is somewhat of the acronym for the stadium. There is a netting going from the field all the way to the overhang over the crowd around the area of home plate to protect from any fast moving foul balls that spin backward of the bat. The stadium seats are regular priced for Chiatan citizens while around 30% more for foreigners because of "protective" tariff laws. There are luxury boxes and party rooms above the main seating area. Also, in the 'home run' areas, there is pick-nick seating for those with economy in mind. The stadium has a full stock of food vendors along with merchandise stores, mainly for Lakewood.

Orbett Stadium is one of 3 stadiums in the TopFloor Arena complex, along with 2 other stadiums that can hold just over 50,000 fans combined. Orbett Stadium meanwhile, is the home of That Team the Owner Supports, the major soccer club in The Sword Bloke, and 20m away from rivals Amaya Angelou, who play in one of the other stadiums in TopFloor. There are 3 merchandise stores in Orbett Stadium, some stands selling matchday programmes and other That Team nicknacks. The Honkbal Lig van Garifunya, or Baseball League of Garifunya, is the association of professional baseball on the island of Garifunya.

The league is composed of eight teams, who play a 66-game schedule stretching from the beginning of April to mid-August. Games are played on Thurs-Sat for three-game series and Thurs-Sun for four-game series. There are two divisions, the Divisyon Osidental and the Divisyon Oyental. Teams play 14 games (4-game series home and away and a 3-game series home and away) against each team in their division and 6 games (3-game series home and away) against teams in the other division. At the end of the season, a five-game series is played between the winner of each division, and the winner receives the Trofij Prezidansyel.

Archbishop Stadium in the Capital of Londinium (expanded for the tournament to 35,000)

Archbishop Stadium is the home stadium of the Londinium Capitols as well as the Nova Anglican national team. It is big and it plays big, with a serious nighttime marine layer, an enormous right-center gap known as "Triples Alley" and an imposing right field wall. It's not as hard on right-handed hitters, but is a fly ball pitcher's paradise. Many people are seen in the bay outside of the stadium attempting to catch home runs hit into the water or simply cruising the bay while enjoying the sound of the game on the radio. It recently hosted many playoff games in the 31st edition of the World Baseball Classic, and Londinium is a true metropolitan city well-equipped to entertain and support players and fans alike.
