Judging by where I live (Western Canada) we should be underway in about 12 hours.

Let's get this thing going! 8)

Okay then.

As I said, I don't mean to squash the enthusiasm. If you enjoy talking about the results of other games, I recommend working them into your RPs; it helps integrate your storyline into the overall setting of the World Bowl. It's a good storytelling tool and helps flesh things out better.

Do the hosts get any kind of home-field advantage in the scorination? I'm wondering how tough it's going to be for me to hold off Electrum in Group B.

Depends on the tournament and the host's decision. Sometimes hosts will do it, sometimes they won't. Generally if they do, it's no more than one extra matchday's RP Bonus.

I think Electrum made a mistake in his scorination in Group E. After Matchday 9, New North Aqmuland was listed at 7-2 and San Jose Guayabal was listed at 6-3. However, after Matchday 10, when they both lost, San Jose Guayabal jumped to 7-3 and New North Aqmuland fell to 6-4.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

You're correct. I checked the tables for MDs 8, 9 and 10 and Electrum seems to have posted the wrong tables (likely caused by his accidental rescorination of MD1). I'll take a thorough look through the tables to see if there are any other errors.

EDIT: I ran Group E's results through the table generator and here's what I got (didn't bother to set points to 1 point for a win or enter the tiebreakers):

In other words, it appears that Equestrian States and San Llera should advance, not Equestrian States and San Jose Guayabal.

The only other error that I have found regards the playoff seeding. Kaboomlandia has an 8-2 record and presumably should be seeded ahead of the 7-3 teams. Fortunately, San Llera's point differential would place them in the same seed that SJG currently occupies and EQS is the only 7-3 group winner, so the only seeding error seems to be Kaboomlandia being seeded 12th instead of 10th.

Not with that nation whether you win the World Bowl or not since you've already participated in a World Bowl, but you can participate in future BoIs with a puppet if the abolish the BoI amendment doesn't pass and if the host of that BoI decides to include puppets and returning users in the tournament.

A really easy way to search if a user has posted anything is to arrange the posts in the thread by user. Directly underneath the last post will be the option - just change it from post time to author.
