A young, skilled, but disappointed Devontan national team fought an embarrassing 0-1 lose on Tuesday over Sarrbia just one day after there 1-4 loss to #4 ranked Holy Empire and two days after there 0-3 defeat at the hands of the Equestrian States in a friendly.

With many soccer critics saying this should be an easy game for the Devontans it was unseen they would lose. The Devontans with the offenses fast passed tempo controlled the game but never capitalized on there opportunities, many shots where saved frustrating players and fans. The Sarribians pressed a bit in the late second half finding opportunities but like the Devontans made mistakes. Despite having less possession the Sarrbians won in a upset 1-0 victory. The Devontan team by critics where guessed likely to be eliminated in group 19, placing seventh, sixth, fifth, or forth, but with another performance like the one today they could face last.

Only one penalty was called the whole game. It was called on sweeping defender Benton in the 88th minute. This would be the deciding moment of the game. The Sarrbians penalty kick went high at first till it curved down bouncing off coopers fingers on to the right post into the net, many stood there shocked, a shocked Devontan team stood in disbelief. The game could of been won but they had made to many mistakes, there last attempt at a goal was on the 93rd minute but forward Lamar Adams kicked the ball over the goal post, moments later the game ended.

----On duty without a friend----

Lamont found his back diagonally to the snowy rocky mountain ground as the other Crew Chief First Sargent Olfie Ricketh made sure there where no problems with the titanium rope(Actually small Titanium fibers that make sure the rope does not break, Effective always especially in the windy Skandian Mountain Range). Olfie used his helmet com to tell John to speed up the rope hoist he was harnessed to. Lamont hated being trapped in the winds when he was descending from the UH-60. As he descended down he signaled to the panicking man and women below to come towards the spot he was going to land at. They had been called from there airfield in Stark, Skandia to help in the efforts to find a couple which had been missing in the mountains for almost two days. First the women came to him the husband would wait last and let his wife be lifted first. Olfie put his hands around the womens waist and told her to hang on to him or the rope as the rope was hoisted up. When the where halfway up the wind turned violent, Its cold stung through the women and her arms tightened around Olfie. Olfie used his arms to block her face, His winter gear was keeping him warm. Luckily for the freezing women they arrived at the aircraft fast. John took the women in and gave her a large green blanket and some water and a turkey sandwich. Olfie knew he had to go back down and get the man. He quickly signaled for John to lower him back to the cold ground.

Olfie descended onto the man who was crouching on the snowy ground shielding his face from the blowing relentless snow. Olfie signaled for the men to come to the rope and hold on. The man quickly got around the rope and Lamont commed John to quickly hoist them up to the chopper. Olfie closed his eyes as the moved up thinking how the wind complicated things. Luckily with only soft winds they made it to the chopper whey're the man was helped aboard the chopper, Ollfie got on himself and took his sit. John closed the sliding doors of the UH-60 before giving the man a blanket and water with another turkey sandwich.

"Thank You, I'm Henric Hues and this is my girlfriend Tara Jones" Pointing at his now known girlfriend.

Olfie leaned against the inside wall of the Pave Hawk and took off his flight helmet, He smiled and shut his eyes.

"No problem!" Said Olfie as he ran his hand through his blond hair. "Can't wait for Takishima to get back from this damn world cup, I hate going on the ropes!" Unfortunately Takishima would be occupied for a few more weeks with soccer before he can return to life in the national guard.

Jeruselem coach Jayden Bella and Naked News's Kira Sallad in Schiavonia where they drew 3-3 with the locals

Jayden: Well, that was a lucky escape.
Kira: Yes, considering we got our keeper sent off in the 1st minute
Jayden: And then Schiavonia scored three goals in the first half
Kira: Yes, but scoring three goals with only two strikers is pretty amazing
Jayden: Yes, but we really should have won today given normal circumstances
Kira: I guess it was 2 points lost

Jayden: Kind of frustrating knowing we can do a lot better
Kira: The good news is Jeru FC won another game
Jayden: They are bit hot and cold as well
Kira: I guess they are
Jayden: Hopefully we have 11 players next game on the field
Kira: It's bit difficult with 10 players

Jayden: Know why our keeper got sent off anyway?
Kira: I asked an official and they said it was professional foul
Jayden: Well, that's rubbish. I saw the incident and the opposition player was acting.
Kira: I didn't see anything wrong with way we did, someone was pulling the referee's leg
Jayden: We don't play dirty football unlike ... Jeru FC
Kira: They seem to bumble their way around the field

Jayden: Great, so I'm down to two keepers for next game
Kira: There's a bye still
Jayden: Great, don't remind me
Kira: Looks a bit touch n go this time round
Jayden: Yes, we're barely hanging on the 3rd spot at the moment
Kira: We're still doing better than Jeru FC

Jayden: Yes, but we cannot afford to give up more points
Kira: Yes, Starblaydia are 4th and have used their bye
Jayden: Hopefully the next home game will set us back on track
Kira: We really need to nail those home games
Jayden: Considering our away form is pretty rubbish so far
Kira: I suspect everyone has expecting the Princess to lead the team

Jayden: Of course, she's stuck babysitting the Jeru FC team
Kira: Her playing days are gone now
Jayden: With all these young players, you need someone to motivate them
Kira: I guess she was the team mother
Jayden: I'm no good at this mothering business for sure. I have no kids.
Kira: Never had the time?

Jayden: I guess so, don't know those Princesses make time do things
Kira: I guess some people can manage their time better than others
Jayden: I'm no expert
Kira: You're a lot better than some people I know
Jayden: I can barely manage myself
Kira: Some people can't even do that

OOC: The answer to yesterday's trivia question is the Parsley Massacre

Bottled Water Massacre Kills 2,000

Gloriax troops are retreating toward the border, but that wasn't enough for Gregoryisgodistan. They had to draw more blood. They had to kill more Gloriax soldiers. The problem is that many of them were dressed as civilians and needed a way to be differentiated. But Lord Almighty Gregory had come up with an idea, just as he always does. A soldier walked up to someone with a bottle of Greggy Spring water, and asked him "What is this?" The individual replied that it was bottled water, pronouncing it "bahhdled wahhder." The Gregoryisgodistani soldier then pulled out a gun and shot the man to death. "Must be from Gloriax," he said.

Then he came upon someone else and showed him the water bottle. "What is this?" he asked. "A bottle of water," the man replied, pronouncing the t's properly, as Gregoryisgodistanis do. "Ok, you're free to go" the soldier said to the man, who was very obviously a refugee looking to return to the land.

And so it went all across District 26. Unfortunately, there were too few soldiers to do much damage, but an estimated 2,000 Gloriax soldiers were killed, and no Gregoryisgodistanis were harmed in the process since they can all pronounce "bottled water" correctly, using the t as a t and not as a d.

Eventually, all the remaining Gloriax troops retreated across the border. At that point, Lord Almighty Gregory gave a speech. "The war in Gloriax is over. Some may say we lost the war, since after all, we did pay Gloriax 50 million dollars. However, that money is merely to go towards the cost of the border fence which they destroyed, which will likely cost more than that to repair. We offered to pay for part of the cost, since it is in our best interest to make sure the wall is rebuilt quickly and speedily. Furthermore, we killed several million Gloriax citizens and soldiers in our attacks. Unfortunately, our forced nuclear attack of District 26 resulted in its complete destruction, but that was necessary to prevent the Gloriax army from advancing further and taking over all of the country. It wasn't the full Enemy Crusher Biggy McParis Option, but it was a desperation step nonetheless. We do need a name for this option, in case we have to invoke it again. I think I will call it the NATO Option, which stands for Nuclear Attack Troop Obliteration. I strongly hope that I do not have to use the NATO Option ever again. Of course, in the event that the NATO Option proves unsuccessful next time, we would then invoke the Enemy Crusher Biggy McParis Option and launch our entire nuclear arsenal at the country which is about to take us over. This is, of course, named after the brave and noble Enemy Crusher who destroyed the gallows of St. Petrus as he was being hanged for crushing hockey players from the Free Republics in revenge for the death of Porky von Porker. Due to the destruction of the gallows, the execution of the two remaining Enemy Crushers was delayed and nobody could be hanged there until the gallows were repaired. Alas, the Enemy Crushers were simply transported to St. Paulus, but Enemy Crusher BiggyMcParis still made sure to bring the house down with him. He would have made a good stand-up comedian. If that is not funny, I will have my joke writer killed along with his family. Likewise, the Enemy Crusher Biggy McParis Option would ensure that if we are ever destroyed, our destroyer will be destroyed as well. Enemy Crusher Biggy McParis' family has told me it is an honor for this option to be named after him.

"Of course, Gloriax has not been removed from the Enemy List. There is but one way to do that, and that is to accept me as God Almighty throughout your nation. Gloriax has not done that. Perhaps someday they will. In any case, the end to this war allows us to commit more troops to Xylocarpstan to kill all of the xylocarps as well as xyloponies and xylohumans which do not ally with us. It will be a bloody war, or should I say a milky war since xylocarps have milk, not blood. We shall prevail there as well. Death to Gloriax! Death to Xylocarpstan! Death to everyone else on our Enemy List!"

Jack Branson was the chairman of the Microcalanian Football Association, and he was working on the league system for the micronation alongside New Drakonikan FA president Mrk Brn.

Mrk had wanted Jack to let his clubs join the Nw Drknikn Ftbl Lg, but Jack had relented, offering instead to use stadiums that were ultra low capacity by Drakonikan standards and found their own teams based on the four cardinal directions and their 4 derivatives. Eventually, Mrk relented and decided to give Microcalania full control of 8 stadiums in the general directions from Drknika. These stadiums had a capacity of around 2,500 each, but could be expanded to at least 20,000 each, if demand stretched enough.

Jack then decided to aim for a blazing fast season, with a double round robin to be played twice a week until the UICA cutoff, then teams were to be submitted. He knew there wasn't much time left, and proceeded to begin securing players. He also decided to only allow Microcalanian citizens in the league, as foreigners would drastically increase its quality at the expense of good home-grown players.

Mrk however, decided to check the score for the last 5 minutes of the away game against Kalumba. He switched the TV off as soon as he saw the 4-0 scoreline. He wasn't upset, as Kalumba were a massive team, he just needed to do other things, like get DrakoniStats to update their database.

CLUB & COUNTRY – PART 6

Position – AM (R,L)(reserve)
Club – Tearrain FC Turtles
Club Location – Tearrain, Bondporter
Crest/Logo – Image
#28 Honn Worfworf
Honn is a very good attacking midfielder and is the left mid starter for the Turtles in their 4-4-2. For the Hops he has some excellent players ahead of him and Coach Schmidt sees him as valuable substitute in certain situations. Honn does best when not in possession of the ball with his overlapping runs, support of other players and his communication. That’s not to say he isn’t good with the ball, which he is good on the ball it’s just those off the ball things that get him the most recognition.

In his personal life off of the pitch Honn enjoys hunting the most and spends much of his time in the outdoors. He is an avid hiker and has been seen scaling the Saaz Mountains from time to time. He is unmarried but hopes one day he will find someone to settle down with, but until then he will continue to be an adventurer. Perhaps there is someone out there with his same adventurous spirit and they will meet someday.

Position – DFM (R,L) (reserve)
Club – FC Indecent Noodies
Club Location – Indecent, Bondporter
Crest/Logo – Not Available
#26 Thriaw Arcerton
Thriaw plays for the Noodies and is one of their key mids in their 4-2-2-2 formation. For the Hops he hasn’t seen much playing time but he is a top pick if the starters (Smuemund and Biaddan), especially since he is the only other defensive mid on the roster at this point. Thriaw is true defensive mid and has little attacking mentality, he supports well and distributes forward well. He also shifts with his defenders in order to cover any gap caused by their rotation and movements. I’m hopeful that he continues to improve and play a few more years, maybe even getting a shot at starting for our Hops one day.

When not on the pitch Thriaw can be found drag racing cars, which is his main hobby. His brother Ricosvo owns an automotive restoration company and Thriaw races under the company sponsorship. He does fairly well at this and it does eat up most of his none playing days in the off-season. Thriaw is married and has one son with another baby on the way, he’s said he hopes for a girl this time so they have a balanced girl/boy ratio in the house, though I think he really wants another boy. They live in a rather nice area of Indecent and he and his wife plan a yearly block party for the neighborhood.

Position – AM (L)(reserve)
Club – FC Darkton Serpents
Club Location – Darkton, Dunklevine
Crest/Logo – Image
#15 Nil Nousskel
Nil is an alright midfielder although he will only play on the left side so it limits his usability. He is good on the ball and has excellent field vision, he does sometimes send errant passes forward when he is under pressure which is not always best to see from a top caliber player. The Serpents have made good use of him over the past couple of seasons and they look to improve their standings this year as they plan to pick up a couple players to help Nil in the midfield area. For the Hops Nil probably won’t see much time on the pitch though he does provide a great addition to the practice squad, Coach Schmidt just has better options before getting to Nil.

If you can’t find Nil at a training facility or on the practice pitch then you’re not looking hard enough because he seems to never leave. He works on his game more than anyone I’ve come across and over the past couple of seasons it has really shown. He has gotten stronger, faster, and his ball control has improved. He has a girl friend at the moment but they never seem to last because he is always training and working out.

Apox march on

Well, this is unusual, a qualifying campaign without much concern for the large amount of point we've been dropping, like what usually occurs. This is largely down to one thing - we haven't dropped many points. In fact, the only stain on the team's record thus far is a decent showing away at Blouman Empire, the top seeds. While they are the team we need to be beating if we want to reach the World Cup and then actually make an impression in it, the fact that they've had a fairly torrid time of it so far gives us hope.

The team has just come out of a tricky set of games, a home tie against Queer Poco el Mono Ara and travelling to Quakmybush. Both teams were the early pace setters, and, as 4th and 5th ranks sides, the type of team which can often be a stumbling block for the national team. Therefore, to come up against both sides and take 6 points back with us feels good. Damn good.

Both games were still quite close, not the sort of crushing, imperious form this team has shown before, but hey, it's a side in transition. Tolgus Tregajorran scored the winner against QPeMA, his 40th internationally, as he continues to cruise his way towards Dravid's Scott long standing record. The scorer in the second match was Luxulya St. Cleer, brought on for Ulrika Kinlasson in the 61st minute as part of a double substitution with Martin Roskorwell coming on for Alice Monteforth - Gavin Hughes switching the team to a more agressive 4-3-3 as they searched for a late winner.

It worked, St. Cleer fed the ball into the box from the wing in the 71st minute, Adnan Zozula not being quite able to direct the ball goalwards, one of their defenders lamely clearing it only for the ball to come back to St. Cleer who was waiting on the edge of the box, ready to power home the goal. Done. 6 points in the bag. A very professional, experienced attitude from the team. Onwards to the next game. It's not over yet.

The TimberHeart is what all life is made from and survives with it’s essence. The TimberHeart was hidden for many years, first within the fern grove at a time when life was just starting in Timbermunich and there were no tall TimberOaks or Great TimberOaks for that matter, then it was concealed within the Heart of the Grove as the ferns grew and developed into TimberOaks and later Great TimberOaks. Records show that even during the fern grove era the protective shield was still around the area now known as the Heart of the Grove, it was just known what that area truly was. Today the TimberHeart is well protected within the Heart of the Grove and is concealed within a circle of Great TimberOaks, its pulsing power has void the interior of this circle of Great TimberOaks of other life and is the only place that the sky can be seen from within the Heart of the Grove. This area is known as the Heart Circle and it has only one entrance on the south side of the Great TimberOak circle, it is also protected by at least two Greats at all times. Although to many this seems a bit much, especially since no mortal (non-Great) can even enter the Heart of the Grove without having their flesh melted away from their bones, but it is a precaution the Greats take anyway.

The first individuals to enter the Heart of the Grove and discover the TimberHeart were Great Battle and Great One-Arm Willy, and before they entered the Heart of the Grove they had searched all of Timbermunich for something they thought was extremely special but did not know what it was at the time. They also had a lot of resistance from elders and villagers before they entered the Heart of the Grove; this was because it was the only area left they had not searched and because of the prior rumors of certain death if they entered. However, it was discovered at that time of entry that the Greats could enter the Heart of the Grove without harm. Ever since that day the Greats started to establish a stronghold within the Heart of the Grove, which is known as the Heart Canopy. Once this was established they have learned much more about the TimberHeart and everything it does for all of Timbermunich, there is still much to learn about it and it’s mysterious pulsating energy but they have made great strides in discovering all that it does.

The TimberHeart has not changed since they found it but speculation and old records indicate that it may have been much smaller and developed rapidly as the Grove expanded from the once small ferns into the Great TimberOaks. One thing is certain and that it’s power is GREAT and Timbermunich could not survive without it.

The Most Holy Times

AT LAST!

It seems a taste of home was what our Atruan squad needed to finally break their losing streak and put up their first points in international World Cup play. Facing fellow cellar dwelling Valientus, Atrua put up a properly non-Scoreologistic 1-0 victory over the visitors to pull within one point of their BoF rival HAUAHUHAU.

The lone goal was scored by Gordon ‘the Hammer’ Toren as expected, given how he has scored all four of Atrua’s goals to this point. And most importantly the team rebounded from a shockingly high scoring 4-2 defeat at the hands of Maklohi Vai in the previous matchup which led some more fanatical Atruans to want an investigation made into the match for signs of Scoreology. Cooler heads prevailed and the cries were promptly dealt with and dismissed by Bishop Descartan who found them unfounded as Maklohi Vai isn’t even in the top three highest scoring teams in Atrua’s own group.

That being said these same people are strongly pointing to Atrua’s next opponent, second seeded and second place Mizuyuki who DO in fact have the highest amount of goals scored averaging nearly 3 a game with 14 in only 5 matches. After beating the slightly less Scoreology tainted Sandwich Territories 3-2, Mizuyuki looks to be in good shape for advancing sitting four points clear of third place. Given Atrua’s poor road efforts to date it will be difficult for our team to try and control the Scoreologistic taint of Mizuyuki.

However after this match there may be some good news for the team. The team comes home to face an underachieving Patistan team sitting at 7 points and then goes on the road to face HAUAHUHAU on the road where the two lowest scoring teams in the group should find themselves in a properly scored match. Finishing this first half of play on a high note would be great for the team’s morale and spiritual certainty after the team’s faith must have taken several blows in such a Scoreologistic landscape such as this.

May the Lord bless you and yours this and every day

World Cup 70: Suns Face Uphill Battle, Need to Lift Game
Article by Kitty Smith, chief editor
KittyS@baruniainsports.com.bu

Barunia held New Drakonika to a 2-2 draw in their last game, leaving them in fourth place after 6 matchdays. It was a disappointing performance for the Suns, who needed those extra two points to stay within touch of the leaders. The next three games will be absolutely crucial for the Suns, as they face the three teams currently above them one after the other. With the points as they stand, draws are not a luxury the Suns can afford. It has to be three wins, against very difficult opponents.

First up is Gloriax, and their ultra defensive style is likely to cause the Suns some problems. That defence has kept its form, letting in just one goal. Only the Archregimancy has conceded as little in the tournament, and that has come at the cost of attack for them. Gloriax have been a little more successful up the front, scoring 8, and they only need to slip one past the Suns to take the win. The Suns of course may make it easier for them as they open up holes at the back in order to flood Gloriax's half, as they will need to be attack minded to overcome the defence and get the vital three points.

Kalumba are a team in fine form, and this could be a stern test for the Suns, especially with the team lacking cohesion across the pitch. Kalumba are leading the group in goals scored with 16, but the Suns are right behind them with 15. Kalumba may well be the Suns' closest rival in a fight for places at the death, so a win here would give the Barunians that edge in the tiebreakers, as well as the points.

Finally, the Suns face group leaders Felix, who remain unbeaten in the competition. Their defence finally let up 2 goals in the last game, and a key here will be working out just how the Kytlerians did it and trying to replicate that. At the same time, the defence has to be at its utmost best. This will be a tough fight, and the Suns will need to improve dramatically if they want to defeat Felix. They have two more matches to build on their game, and Felix stands as a sort of "final boss" to challenge those skills.

Trivia Question: Apart from their footballing careers, what connects all the players who have worn the #18 shirt for the Suns?

They all have first names beginning with the letter "E". Eoin McFayden, Eli Estrella, Ellis Merriet.

Let’s recap!

Matchday 1.

Away to Fellow Citizens. 121 places separated The Whites from their hosts, suggesting the Pocoan side would be the favourites for coach Tayip Misra’s first game in charge. The old warhorse set out his side to attack and go for the jugular and from only the seventh minute, the few hundred fans who had made the trip had something to cheer about as Una Serie forward Rizwan Abdullah rounded the home keeper and slotted into an empty net. Five minutes later and the Whites doubled their lead, this time from some neat inter-play between the two forwards and a shot into the bottom left hand corner of the goal to give Lisandro Espinoza his first international goal. Six minutes before the end of the half, Abdullah was upended in the box, the subsequent penalty was slotted home by Peregrine Raeburn.

Raeburn assisted the fourth in the 60th minute delivering a cross from the right for Adbullah to head past the home keeper. A consolation goal for the home fans did little to quell the attacking momentum of the Whites as they surged forth in search of a fifth and were rewarded with a well taken drive from the edge of the box from Elvis Raincloud, on as a substitute for Espinoza.

A first game in charge, first game on the road and a resounding win for Misra. Hopefully they’ll all be this easy.

Matchday 2.

Misra’s first game in front of the home fans and they weren’t disappointed. His team lined up the same as they had against Fellow Citizens and went looking for the win. The goals didn’t come as quickly or as in plentifully and the 60,000 present in the Jewel in the Desert started to become impatient and look a little nervous. It wasn’t until the 58th minute when a Rizwan Abdullah header gave them some relief. This was added to by Jokin Quiros, whose weaving, mazy run between several defenders had the home fans on their feet. The little attacking midfielder then finished the run with a neat chip over the travelling keeper.

A late, late consolation goal for the visitors did little to dampen the home fans spirit and with two games under his belt, the new head coach had six points and was off to a flying start.

Matchday 3.

Again we travel to somewhere remote, with a less than auspicious footballing past. Ranked a good 140 places below Queer Poco, these are the kind of games the fans want to see Misra’s men winning. And that’s exactly what they saw.

The goals were hard to come by in Daritii, but perseverance proved to be the key and the Whites threw everything they had at the host’s goal, eventually being rewarded in the 74th minute when Quiros scored for the second game running. The mop haired midfielder played a neat one two with Raeburn on the edge of the box, pivoting round the defender who came to close him down and beating the oncoming goalie to the ball to slot in at an acute angle.

Matchday 4.

The Big Test.

So far so good for Tayip and The Whites. 9 points from a possible 9 and a goal difference of +5. But now they would face their biggest challenge of the qualifying campaign, the 18th ranked side in the world. We’d been as high as that before, but by God it was a bloody long time ago. Back when we were ranked so high we’d have hoped to blow away opposition ranked outside the top 50 and that is what the Blouman Empire would surely be coming to Queer Poco with the aim of doing.

Unfortunately for them Jokin Quiros has other ideas and in the third minute of the game, the diminutive midfielder danced his way through the defence to score his third in qualifying and to score the only goal of the game.

The visitors finished with 10 men, to add to their frustrations, while Misra was able to add a scalp to his collection. Not bad going, 4 games, 4 wins.

Matchday 5.

The wheels were bound to come off at some point and losing to a top 30 ranked team brings with it no shame. A little disappointment maybe, but no shame. A 1-0 away defeat in Apox leaves QPeMA 3rd in Group 17 with a game against Brenecia up next.

40BU-31BU
With the GWNFA having taken the Top 8 teams from the nation into its Super League, tournaments such as the Gold Cup and the Inter City cup had suddenly lost their appeal. All 8 league sides left the tournaments to focus on league football. This may seem unusual to many people, but the traditional football season runs from April-September, due to the weather, although games in March and October were common. For the larger sides out of the GWNFA Super League, they now had the opportunity to finally win these tournaments, even if their prestige had diminished.

The GWNFA was keen to expand its influence in Greater Watford, and in 37BU announced it would expand the league to 10 teams. The decision to expand was agreed, with any city based team that won the Inter City Cup or the Gold Cup taking one of the two places. This annoyed members of the more prominent regional leagues, such as the Eastern Alliance, the United Alliance and the Watford League. Nevertheless, the winners of the Gold Cup, Leverstock Green Rovers FC and the winners of the Inter City Cup, Nascot Wood United FC, entered the Super League. The finals of these tournaments were heavily publicised, due to the allure of earning a spot in the Super League.

For Leverstock Green Rovers, who traditionally wore green, they had to swap to grey shirts and black shorts, a decision only recently reversed by the club. Nascot Wood United turned out in burgundy shirts, although they would soon become red shirts, in a few years time, due to changes to kits. Another problem with the kits was that some teams were reporting clashes with their opponents, mainly Leavesden Rovers FC and Garston Rangers FC. To accommodate this, as well as helping the audiences identify both clubs, these 2 sides were asked to wear red pullovers on top of their shirts, to avoid a clash. Despite initial mocking of this idea, both these teams adopted a wide red vertical band as part of their design. Furthermore, kit numbers were placed on the back of kits, 1-11, and a squad sheet given to broadcasters before a match, to allow effective identification of players, which further allowed the TV era of football to develop.
33BU saw the addition of 2 extra teams to the GWNFA Super League. Hatfield FC, the strongest team in the west, and twice winners of the Gold Cup in this decade, were granted a place, along with Watford League winners Tudor Sports Society. At the same time, striped kits were first introduced to the GWNFA (some amateur teams had already been experimenting with different designs for a while). This resulted in Kings Langley FC adopting their famous black and white stripes, Nascot Wood United changing to black and red stripes, and the aforementioned Garston Rangers FC and Leavesden Rovers FC adopting the broad vertical stripe. For the new teams, Hatfield FC replaced Nascot Wood United in wearing burgundy, and Tudor Sports Society had beige shirts.

32BU saw another expansion, with Vicarage FC and Hertsmere United FC joining the League to have 14 teams. The desire to have all teams in different colours was dropped as it was unfeasible, and teams now started wearing more exotic design, including boldly coloured shorts and socks. Many were surprised by Vicarage FC’s yellow and purple combination and St Albans City FC changed to an all navy blue kit with yellow trim. The GWNFA still held a refusal over kit changes, which explains why Leavesden Rovers FC and others never changed back into their old kit. (This was also influenced by the fact many teams with forced changes did adapt to their new colours).

The GWNFA Super League was won by Kings Langley FC and Abbots Langley FC in 34BU and 32 BU respectively. Whilst this doesn’t seem significant in itself, from 31BU all the way up to the very recent 4AU, the League was won by one of the Big 3. The dominance of the Big 3 proved impossible to break, and some argue this had a negative effect on the league. In terms of amateur tournaments, the Inter City Cup folded at the end of 32BU, with very few competitive teams left. The Gold Cup was also being reduced to a second-rate tournament, only boosted by a high number of very small teams looking for a chance of a match up against a city side outside of the GWNFA.
Honours:
International FireStorm V Cup Winner with Watford FC
International FireStorm VI Cup Winner with St Albans City FC

SEMARLAND 1-2 LYMANTATIA

Semarland continued an unimpressive string of form, with a 2-1 loss to Lymantatia.

The Lymantatians took an eighth-minute lead thanks to their burly centre-forward. A great run downfield from their left-winger and a good cross in found the striker, who easily tapped the ball home past Jorgen Karlstad. The same player almost scored again three minutes later, but a great reaction save from Karlstad denied him. At the other end, Claes Naemstad chipped a good ball in but Tipio Runen was unable to convert it, volleying the ball over the Lymantatian bar. There were little chances for either teams for the next 30 minutes or so, with both teams excelling in defence. The best chance came for Lymantatia, when one of their players headed from point-blank range, only to be cleared off the line by Jakob Lunds. Andreas Jansen's volley also hit the post at the other end, and a neatly struck shot from Adren Christiansen-Hallensburg went only just wide.

Just after the second half commenced, the Lymantatian centre forward who scored first got his second. Their right-winger drilled in a low ball across the floor, for the centre-forward to tap home. It was a poor, shabby performance for the Semars, and there were off the pitch rumours that Henrik Jensen may be sacked if the team fail to climb higher in the table. Things were looking brighter on 63 minutes when Marc Lygaard pulled one back. Some skilful trickery from Abel Nkutu and a brilliant floated ball to his FC Jansberg team mate was all Lygaard needed to score. It put some extra motivation in the team, with Demba Cisse & Tipio Runen having good efforts saved by the Lymantatian goalkeeper. Jakob Lunds' header clipped the bar and Eirik Malsen's sizzling volley wide were other good examples of missed chances. Before they knew it, the game ended, and Semarland dropped into 6th place.

Semarland will now face Sameba away.

We're beating the Pasargans, we're beating the Pasargans, we're beating the Pasargans, we're beating the Pasargans!

Joaquin de las Casas Memorial Stadium was absolutely packed. Twenty-eight thousand, an astounding number when you considered Hicaña's total population was less than six hundred thousand, had all been chanting nonstop for the greater part of the second half.

It had been Miguel Ansierra - who else? - on a sweet Matthieu Rhoderick through-ball that had, through an odd mix of sheer luck and brilliant placement, beat both Bendegúz and Jukić, leaving the powerful striker free to dart by and use his left foot to deftly beat Halabi in the upper-right corner. Just like that, the unregarded Hicañans were leading the number-seven team in the world one-nil, and it wasn't even the eighth minute yet.

Of course Pasarga had struck back. Möller had replied to Ansierra three minutes later, shooting from twenty-eight yards out and hitting the crossbar. One could almost have thought it a warning shot, for eight minutes later, the Wanderers had forced the Skylarks to park the bus under a brilliant haze of passing and dribbling. Császár Mór, who played abroad in the ex-champion nation of Eura, had played an important role - never shooting, but always managing to outwit the Hicañan fullbacks, now desperately clinging to the insides of the penalty box.

Still, despite a good five shots on goal in the next twelve minutes for Pasarga, Hicaña managed to hold out by good luck and the astounding saves of Aaron Castro. Still, the defense was struggling - Donalbain too inexperienced to handle the Pasargan feints and finishes, Herrera so aggressive Pasarga had no choice but to sidestep for an open goal, Mikkelson and Sanchez perhaps one step behind Orbán's and Möller's brilliant flair.

So, in the twenty-third minute, Richard Byrne decided to shake things up. For Mikkelson came the ex-prodigy Christian Hernandez, who would be able to keep up if not avoid feints; and to counter, he brought in the Benoitan, Francois Riverie, in for the struggling Herrera. Todd Beckett, the last defender available, he would save for later - his innate playmaking ability would come in handy if they ever got Pasarga off their backs.

But going into the second half, after a somewhat-subdued but still Pasargan attack, things looked doubtful. It started to become a matter of when and not if. Miraculously though, it didn't happen. And now they were in the eighty-third minute, and the sing-song cheer of We're beating the Pasargans, we're beating the Pasargans, we're beating the Pasargans, we're beating the Pasargans! still shook the stadium whenever a Pasargan threat was repelled. In fact, after finally getting a shot on goal in the seventieth minute, Hicaña had managed to keep pushing and even threaten to put themselves up two-nil.

They hadn't, of course. But as the whistle blew and the Skylarks fell to the ground, they couldn't see any way their qualification campaign could top what they had just done.

Three days later, they beat Milchama four-one and took the group lead for good.

Well, you couldn't say they'd only beaten minnows now, could you?

How was it the big game against The Sarian!

Image

Image

Red Blackiland failed to the objectives in the last game and had a strong and very bad lose to The Sarian by 3-4,that made Red Blackiland fell to third position, and went away at this moment,to the WC qualified methods zone : directly by the first and ''undirectly'' by the second.Failures in the defensive midfield lie=ne markation generated errors in the ball exit of 'Dark Lions' defense and sent the ball as a gift for The Sarian attackers that took advantage from the opportunities.Red Blackiland reached in the goals, mainly by the side-attacks with Carmona and Felipinho, beautiful goal by Felipinho in the superior right angle of Sarian goalkeeper, now rest for Red Blackiland team maintain your heads to the front and face Lymantatia for turn in the second position of the group again.

The anaylsis of the next game in Lymantatia

Image

Above Image : Red-Black fans already in Lymantatia.

Another decisive game against Lymantatia now, well, do not own a lot of information on the opponent, because he has a very conservative media in the divulgation of issues related to tactical systems and the football, but will surely be a hard match for the 'Dark Lions ',because Lymantatia is a good-ranked team, and the 'Dark Lions',which again has to prove his power to overcome and conquer three points or a draw to maintain good campaign made so far and putting the team into the leaders.
Not that the performances of Rodrigo Costa are bad, but the blow to the defense with the injury of Bázsten and the need to implement a couple of sudden defense and without meshing broked the defensive system of the team in recent games causing silly mistakes defense output and ball protection, especially in the final minutes, now, with the return of Bázsten, the initial double of defenders will back to play with their total meshing and will continue paying off the team with his good performances, beautiful trips and the salvation of 'goals against'.
The attack always remains the same, Felipinho with his dribbling and his ability, with incisive through, Carmona with his technique the left and Julian Matheus with accuracy the right relying on dogs-guard Defour and other means defensive fields counting even with the great goalkeeper Hargreaves. As you can see, same initial line-up,same tatical system and same spyrit.
The pitch is ours, Red-Black!

Importance for the structure of football in Red Blackiland

Image

In all training centers here already mentioned, of more than 200 of them and especially the fiscal and economic measures that the Federation has taken to make the Red Blackiland football into a world potency level is also quite enhanced, the governance structure towards stadiums, headquarters of clubs, internal structures and CTs, in addition to the infrastructure of national championships and National team matches.
When in the 90s years, the rulers saw the situation of the national football and saw that it is a great way to warm up the national economy, the representatives of the member federative states of the nation, with the federal leaders, could not imagine that they were creating a huge movement with big repercussion and great national appeal, making the soccer virtually the unique sport in the country, and create a new school of football,in the football universe of NSSports.
The idea behind this meeting was to create an organization that had legitimacy to rule on between the clubs, and organize national competitions regularly and promote the modernization and popularization of sport football across the country, as in the 90s and how as we said, football in the country was still considered amateur.
This legitimacy came with the past of the time, when an increasing number of people have come to support and growing number of clubs finally recognized the entire work.By this system, clubs wishing to participate in official competitions throughout the country should have a minimum level of performance in a number of categories such as financial health, development of new talents, maintenance of sports infrastructure (training camps, stadiums), management practices, among others.
By doing this, the RBAF want to ensure that part of the wealth generated in the sport will be reinvested in areas considered as critical to the industry's long-term survival. But,beyond regulator, the maximum institution of football in the country also takes other functions. The own RBAF acts as a direct investor in the football industry, developing social programs such as combating racism, redistributing between "family members" part of the revenues generated from its competitions and subsidizing football modalities such as futsal and women's football, whose your low commercial appeal does not allow your self-sustainability, but steps are being taken for this can to be reversed.
On average, each club has about 220 athletes in the training and formation categories between the U12 to U21 and 50% of clubs spend less than 10% of the budget for basic training categories with the help of the federation measures, 75% of the avaliated clubs have the same training structure between the first team and youth teams, 60% of clubs have Social Services Departments related to Government Departments in the country, 66% clubs focus on individual development of athletes, however the training sessions are geared to collective game and 75% of the clubs allow the presence of parents in the practice sessions.
Image

The stadiums usually when built are made of very flexible naming-rights agreements with bigs national builders or constructors, but clubs can not do anything astronomical or anything that the club can not pay,in which is another requirement of the specific rule books of the Federation, but they can search or receive help and sponsorship, mainly local enterprises relationed with the localization of the club headquarters or the stadium. The choice of goal nets and your customization is free, alcohol consumption is free but is supervised and controlled and crowd artifacts like as: red flares, mast flags are allowed. In the stadium is allowed only one in-foot sector, which may be the section for the Ultras or Hooligans fans and the rest consisting of sectors with seats or seats in all sectors, the minimum capacity is 900 fans to play semi-professional categories, for the second division is 8,500 and the first division is 10,000,at this moment. The locker rooms for the teams must contain a minimum of 25 seats, with a minimum of five showers, three individual toilets, a stretcher for massages and a board, and for the referees is a minimum of 5 seats, with a minimum of one shower, individual toilet and a table.Ilumination with reflectors of a intensity of 1200 lx towards fixed cameras and 800 lx to other areas of the stadium and mobile cameras. The parking requirements are: A minimum of four spaces for buses and vehicles and sixteen for the teams and referees.Additionally, there must be have an efficient emergency generator, capable of providing, without interruption, the intensity of 75% of the normal value, and in addition, must have VIP chairs and courtesy areas.Have media/press room with access to communications ways with minimum size of 50m².A effectively speaker system in order to maintain communication with the public and the crowd, within and outside the stadium, which does not suffer interference and not be drowned out by the noise of the spectators, and protected from power outages and for the last, must have minimum hygienic conditions for the use of fans.
The CTs, however that football is still new in the country, are much more than simple CTs, the place is also the administrative headquarters of the club, and is the home of the medicine issues of the club,of athletes trainings and also the area for partners, basically is a integrated center. Each club training center has about 200 professionals to meet their interests.Have modern changing rooms for the athletes and the coaching staff, as well as gyms and fitness, hydromassage and relaxation also has a advanced medical centers.Count with various fields of training, some with natural lawn, and others with artifical lawn. The clubs offer for the young professionals, classrooms equipped with advanced technology, and study rooms, restaurant and 26 comfortable bedrooms for the 'relax' of his more than 30 students, it all in one area of 3,000 m².Everything is on an average and being the base for the advancement of football in the country.

Eura hammer Western Borderlands
Red and gold back in Group 14 driving seat after putting eight past minnows

WESTERN BORDERLANDS - 2
Unknown 40, 52

Eura recovered from their dip in form to record their third thorough victory of qualifying, putting eight past the Western Borderlands to send themselves to the top of Group 14 with a game in hand.

After crushing Taeshan with ease away from home, Eura were brought back down to earth in a thriller in Bastion that saw them lose somewhat surprisingly to Nova Anglicana at home, 4-3. The away side took the game with a spectacular late goal after what was admittedly the best performance they'll likely have for a long time, and only after three good goals from John Spartan, Skorji Oslograd and Albin Oslograd. It was a poor defensive display from Eura but nevertheless morale remained high, and the game ended with a rousing ovation for the Euran players who could not be faulted for their effort - a reaction they would not have got for a 4-3 defeat at home under Kelly Sporadic. Fortunately the away side, Eura's main threat in the group so far, then had their own high scoring failure at home, drawing with Jeckland while Eura edged out Friskney Eaudyke 1-0, Weylon Churchilli scoring the only goal. Tonight they lost away in Taeshan, while Eura recorded this fantastic victory. Eura made two changes for this match, bringing in an extra striker, Sam Ashtree, for midfielder Glenn Anderson, and giving Brommis a game in goal.

The changes saw an inexperienced Western Borderlands side dominated from the off. The floodgates opened in only the 7th minute, when Craig Sinclair whipped a cross into the box for Skorji Oslograd to volley it into the net on his left foot. Oslograd might be 34 but he looked energetic tonight, and before long had made it 2-0, sidestepping a challenge after collecting a pass from Mike Adams to drive home from 20 yards. Adams managed to get on the scoresheet too before long, rifling a shot from nowhere into the top right hand corner from 25 yards. At the halfway point of the first half, the game seemed over already. However, the away side did manage to claw open a window back into the game shortly before half time, bungling in a corner after a rare error by Carl Brommis as he dropped the ball mid-interception. However Gareth Blackthorn would score before half time, sidefooting a neat finish between two defenders and through the goalkeeper after collecting an Oslograd pull back 10 yards from goal.

Western Borderlands must have thought, coming out for the second half, that Eura would lay off them now and they could try and play a damage limitation game. In fact, it went better for them than that. They scored a second from nowhere straight after half time, a diving header by the centre forward from a drilled cross. However, the joy would be temporary. Skorji Oslograd capped off his hat trick shortly afterwards, stretching to push home a low Adams ball into the box despite the best efforts of the defence to beat him to it. John Spartan made it six only a few minutes after that, curling in a free kick from 25 yards after being brought down in the middle of a surging run. Eura rang the changes at this point, hoping to give some game time to less experienced players and rest the key members of the team. Spartan, Oslograd and Sinclair made way for Anderson, Allen and Sullivan respectively. The substitutes remarkably all had an instant impact, combining to score the seventh goal. Anderson distributed the ball out to Sullivan on the wing with his first touches of the game, who then whipped in a cross that Allen was there to cheekily flick into the bottom corner when the ball nearly went behind him.

The away side made their last substitutions and tried to minimise the damage further as they went into a fully defensive stature for the rest of the game. There would be one more goal though, and a beautifully simple one at that which would have the Bastion Arena roaring in approval. Craig Gilbert cut four opposition players out of the game with a midfield splitting pass that left Sam Ashtree free to charge out of the centre circle in possession. He exchanged a quick one-two with Allen, putting him past the last defender far too easily and leaving him free to bear down on goal. Ashtree was both arrogant and brilliant as he scored, rounding the keeper as he charged out foolhardily before tucking the ball into the empty net from a tight angle after nearly losing control of it. It was a very convincing win for Eura, who must now play bottom seeds New Ecopia in Bastion with what will likely be a second string team.

Jungle Cats Start Cubed3

3 Goals, 3 Shutouts, 3 Wins to start WC70

Nycflala Kater's Vilita Jungle Cats started off their World Cup 70 qualifying campaign with a trio of victories, each of which coming in very un-Jungle-Cat like fashion.

The traditionally more attack minded Jungle Cats struggled to dominate weaker opposition over the opening three matchdays, escaping each of their opening matchups with a 1-0 victory. However, for Jungle Cat fans, the slow start is still cause for celebration and optimism.

Throughout their storied competitive history which includes a pair of World Cup Titles - World Cup 20 and World Cup 68, Vilita have always struggled to get out of the gate - particularly in World Cup qualifying.

Sometimes, in fact, it would seem as if supernatural forces were at work just to ensure Vilita would get off to a bad start to World Cup Qualifying, if only to make them work harder to over come the odds and advance to the World Cup Finals.

One of the most prevalent examples of such 'supernatural forces' came on that fateful day in Lymantatia - a place no one particularly wanted to be, or ever wanted to go back to. Of course, it was that fateful day - matchday 2 of the World Cup 60 Qualifiers - when the great Lymantatian bird swooped down and claimed the pitch as its personal nesting grounds.

...as the half-hour mark approached in the match, an incredible thing happened. A massive bird, with a wingspan over 5 meters, swooped down into the stadium. Unfamiliar with Lymantatian fauna, the Vilitan players played it safe and all ran for the safety of the dugout while a few of the defenders and goalkeeper Nycflala Kater scattered into the empty seats behind the goal. The huge bird landed right on the center circle, perhaps giving some clue as to why there were no players or fans in the stadium for this match...

Incredibly - the referee - Lokri Pederson of the Icemark - who clearly wanted nothing of having to put themselves or any other refereeing team through a replay, let the match play on and the Jungle Cats were stunned in a 1-2 defeat. It was just 1 point in the first 3 matchdays for the Jungle Cats during World Cup 60 and just 8 points through the first 7 matchdays as Vilita looked all but out just one cup after hosting the Worlds premier tournament.

But the Jungle Cats did what they had to do, running the table to squeak into the playoffs then ousting Ko-oren and Cosumar in succession to advance to the World Cup finals.

It was just one of countless examples of Vilitan futility in the early stages of a World Cup qualification campaign.

So, while Nycflala Kater's Vilita Jungle Cats were far from impressive in their opening three matches against Atrua, Cata Larga and Maklohi Vai, all heads were held high in Alikki-Corra as the Jungle Cats took a rare 9 points from 9 in the opening 3 matchdays of World Cup Qualification.

Surely, if the trend were to keep up much longer, the Vilitan fans would start to question if anything needed to be done. However, with the goalkeeping tandom of Kalek Intafel and World Cup 68 hero Zelkki Milake keeping the ball out of the net, perhaps Vilitan fans would be more than happy to take a page out of neighbor Turoi's Karelan handbook and ride a wave of 1-0 results straight through to the World Cup finals.

The Sarian vs North Britonisea - A Preview
By Francesca Harte

Normally I am hesitant about thinking The Sarian National Football Team will actually do anything I want them to. Far too often I have fallen into that trap - thinking we might actually do something right then having my heart trampled on like a Cenian team in Audioslavia.

But our next game? It will be piss-easy.

We are playing minnows North Britonisea, known for being the only nation to match to idiocy of their former overlords (or as it is probably spelt in Britionisea - big leeder doods), perhaps the only thing the fail of a nation has done right is separate from the nation and international observers who are strong fans of literacy rates may have held a baited breath when the divorce happened, but much like their WorldVision Song Contest entries, the result was a cluster of bad-taste and something that didn't really make sense.

I must confess, I don't really follow the politics of a nation best known for singer, Garange L'Iwes, winning International King of Comedy in The Sarian Comedy Awards for his rendition of "Be the one to win [sic]" in WorldVision 31, but one year North Britonisea's song was about how rubbish Britonisea was (I must say, I agreed) and the next year they gave them all twelve points. What can we learn from this? North Britonisea fans are fickle and have no backbone - give them a sweet on each seat and they'll be cheering for the Bustards.

Understanding that I am a Sports Columnist, I feel the need to explain why I have gone of in such a tangent, quoting (admittedly gripping) singing competitions in my quest to sum up our next opponents in the best way possible. And that is because it is all we have on the pitifully small country.

Like many other non-civilized countries, North Britonisea has not released a roster and insists on playing with no names on their shirts, with as little media as possible surrounding the team, that is to say none.

All I have to say is, thank god that we are playing at home first - if my SatNav is to be believed, the reverse fixture is to be played in a field full of cows, hopefully the North Britionisea "futbool asowceeation [sic]" will correct us before then.

You can catch the match tomorrow at 7 PM, and as always it will be live from Home Covert on Florivision.

Article 8.5 : Few Poems by Red Blackiland fans : Translation of a Passion!

'' Stepping on the field
This belongs to me
It is where
I am in control.

Long before I came here
I have prepared for this day
I reach down
Pluck the grass from the earth
Feel the energy of the moment

Nothing else matters now
It’s only about this
This is the beginning
The beginning of something great

Walk to the centerline
Turn and view the pitch.
The others who stand with me
In this battle
Prepared for what is to come.

I see the same in them
As I feel
No one else understands
They cannot share this

This is our fight
It is our moment
It is what we know
What we live for

The whistle sounds
Ball advances
It has begun '' by Joseph Furdeck.

'' Stadium overcrowded by
hooligans and fans
Cheering waving flags and
clapping their hands

Players on the field they’re
ready to start
There goes the whistle it pumps
up their hearts

Adding strength to the ball and
kicking it high
The ball travels overhead how
beautiful it can fly

Over center field and still it
goes strong
Pass received with ease and the
player runs long

There he goes for his
opponents goal
He dribbles through each player
he’s on a roll

He takes the shot and curves it
by
The keeper dives for it far and
high

The goalie misses it the balls in
the net
There’s a moment of silence
and no regrets

The winners jump for joy that
win was a must
Opponents heads tilt down low
they leave in disgust

A player’s life fulfilled is playing
world class
To be playing all year long on
the rich green grass

Play with heart, that’s the real
answer
Of how to play the true game of
soccer '' by Jeffery Ferrell.

Other poems coming..

Olden Stadium, Falkamore, Nejax

The match between the Holy Republicans and United Eastedge had just reached its conclusion. 6 different Republicans had scored goals, including Koby Theodore, the striking trio of Hinriksson, Bolton and Pozenel and 2 substitute strikers. Leo Cremonesi, at one time a Holy Republican starter, came in shortly after halftime with the Republicans up 3 goals to nil. Kyle Bolton suffered a knock during a collision with some United Eastedge defender and Theriault took him out as a precautionary measure. Just moments later, Cremonesi would touch the ball for the first time and, on his very first touch, put it in the back of the net. However, the final blow to the former BoF champions was delivered by 15-year-old girl Connie Chase, who was brought on late for defensive midfielder Rados Miletic, to provide the Republicans with a 4th striker. The Republicans, despite a 5 goals to nil lead, acted during the 3 minutes of injury and stoppage time as if they were down a goal. The faux desperation worked before an extremely partisan Nejax crowd as Chase, the substitute who played less than 5 minutes of the match, scored during her first WCC cap. It was truly a dominant victory against a team that was considered an up-and-coming nation.

As the Republican side walked back to the locker room, Theriault decided to stick with his new lineup. After the red cards, which were to be applied during the team's next WCC match, not their friendly against the Equestrian States, he had decided to test out 2 different lineups. Against a nearly full-strength Equestrian lineup, Theriault sent Zrina onto the pitch, along with Leonid Borodin. The Republican defense conceded 2 goals to the World Cup co-hosts and lost the match 2 goals to 1. However, during the United Eastedge match, Theriault decided to start Patrick Werfel, Omar Asbergsson and Rados Miletic in place of the suspended Zrina Martinovic and Joseph Poole and Zrina's friend Kieran Hancock. The defensive midfielder and the 2 defenders played a flawless game. Theriault decided that this would be enough to remain part of the Holy Republican starting lineup in the future.

Their very next match would be played in HopNation. A win would put Theriault's side right back into contention in their group. The stakes were too high, Theriault decided, to allow Zrina Martinovic and Joseph Poole to create any more drama. Both of them were now, officially, benched.

Consul Kulseth's Office, Republica

Consul Kulseth was sitting in his office, carefully reading the "Faith-Based Charitable Initiatives Act" that had recently been passed by both the Assembly and the Senate. The bill's purpose was to permit the Imperial Government to finance faith-based charities to serve the public good. Consul Kulseth was reading over the bill carefully. As he was reading the section that granted discretion to the executive branch in determining where funds would be spent, a discretion that the Consul intended to utilize to ensure that no false religions received any funds and that all funds would end up in the coffers of the True Church, Sebastian Peters, the Director of the Imperial Protection Agency, barged into the Consul's office, unannounced.

Sebastian Peters - Mr. Consul, we have detected a Level-10 security threat.

The Consul was startled. Level-10 was the most serious level and it was extremely rare for the Imperial Protection Agency, formerly known as the Federal Protection Agency, to detect a threat that serious. In fact, the last time they had detected a threat this serious was during the days leading up to Charm Harbor.

Reino Kulseth - Are you sure, Mr. Peters?

Sebastian Peters - We have intercepted communications from Hicañan terrorists, intended for one Veleik Nicholls. An investigation has confirmed that Veleik Nicholls is the heir to Nicholls Enterprises, the disgraced corporation that has a history of financing international terrorism. We believe it is 98.64% likely that they are contacting Veleik Nicholls as an intermediary in order to discretely pass on messages to his father.

Reino Kulseth - This is most concerning, indeed. Unfortunately, I am unable to move to nationalize Nicholls Enterprises property until after the next Amolotopian Presidential election, a little over 2 years from now.

Sebastian Peters - However, there are counter-measures that we can take. In the note, they request that forces hostile to our objectives be dispatched to the region of Nevo Esperanso in Hicaña. We can inform the Hicañan government of the anonymous terrorist note and inquire about stationing troops on Hicañan soil, in order to help keep Hicaña in our orbit.

Reino Kulseth - That is a good idea. I will look into that. However, if I may ask, I have a question for you:

Sebastian Peters - Ask away.

Reino Kulseth - How is it that your Agency was able to intercept this message?

Sebastian Peters - Well, around 10 years ago, my predecessor's predecessor started a new program, in order to help keep our country safe. We discovered that it was now possible, thanks to technological progress, to monitor every phone call, every email and even every web site visited. We've primarily collected metadata, but we also have sophisticated software solutions that can identify "suspicious" individuals, solely based upon unusual patterns in their metadata. The communications of these individuals are singled out for special scrutiny, allowing for threats to be detected. You may be interested to know that one of the individuals that we singled out for special scrutiny was yourself.

Reino Kulseth - You're serious?

Sebastian Peters - Correct. I have been aware, since before election day, of the special circumstances surrounding your election.

The Consul suddenly became extremely worried.

Sebastian Peters - But, you need not worry about my knowing your secret. Although I never acknowledged it publicly, for the sake of my career, I am also a member of the True Church.

Reino Kulseth - Its always a pleasure to meet another of the Elect.

Sebastian Peters - Indeed, it is. The Agency knows everything, but even my predecessor did not know that I had seen God's Light.

Reino Kulseth - That's probably for the best.

Sebastian Peters - Upon taking my job, I immediately began working with officials in the Sanctii Government to help them bring Feministvs Sanctvsterra and Vindicta Progressvm to justice. We detected their brazen theft of Royal ISP services and provided evidence to the Sanctii authorities, accordingly.

Consul Kulseth immediately thought to the assassination of Consul Piazza and decided to inquire about that:

Reino Kulseth - Impressive. Given your skill in gathering information, how did you miss the evidence showing that Consul Piazza was going to be assassinated?

Sebastian Peters - We didn't. We were well aware of the Gregoryisgodistani plot against Consul Venicio Piazza and did absolutely nothing to stop it. This was intentional, as we hoped that the plot would provide the political will for an invasion of Gregoryisgodistan. We were also aware that the death of the Consul would likely force an early election, at a time when we were already well aware of what you were planning on doing. The benefits of hastening the election, Mr. Consul, were enormous. Had we waited, you would have been a Junior Consul for 4 years and Consul Piazza would have vetoed just about every single one of your actions. Therefore, Consul Piazza had to die, so that the Prophecy might be fulfilled.

Reino Kulseth - I am not one to shy away from doing what needs to be done, Director.

Sebastian Peters - Good. I like hearing that. Now, we had completely failed to detect the assassination of King Paulus XV and, on that day, we did not anticipate the Feministvs Sanctvsterra terrorist attempting to assassinate Senator Izmailov. When that happened, she was blamed by the local police for the assassination of Consul Piazza. This likely saved Gregoryisgodistan from destruction, as that evil land has since acquired nuclear weapons, but at least it provided motivation for the military to treat Feministvs Sanctvsterra like the terrorists that they are and at least it utterly discredited feminism in the eyes of all decent men. Of course, no decent woman would ever support something as contrary to nature and flat-out evil as feminism, but many misguided men saw those feminist freaks as representative of "women," a false notion that the merely misguided among them have now disgarded.

Reino Kulseth - Indeed. Anybody who still espouses feminism belongs in jail, if they should even be permitted to live at all.

Sebastian Peters - My personal policy recommendations at the moment are to place some troops on Hicañan soil for the nation's safety and to carry out an immediate troop surge in Coconutstan, where our allies are struggling to hold onto their nation.

Reino Kulseth - I will do both of these things, if the Hicañan government is supportive...

To: President Antonio Sandoval, Hicaña
From: Consul Reino Kulseth
Subject: Your Security

President Sandoval,

I have very credible evidence indicating that certain terrorist elements within your nation have been attempting to set up contact with the infamous Nicholls Corporation. Nicholls Corporation is infamous for being the organization that funded the, thankfully, now-defunct terrorist organization Feministvs Sanctvsterra. The Holy Republican government recognizes and embraces its responsibilities toward its allies. Therefore, we request that you permit the establishment of a military base in the Nevo Esperanso region of your nation. Stationed at this base would be 25 thousand advisers who would be in your nation in order to help train your military. I am confident that this measure will help to ensure certain defeat for the terrorists who would destroy your government.

Signed,

- Consul Kulseth

Meanwhile, Veleik Nicholls received the message at the Legion of Lucifer compound, but decided that it was too vague to act upon. The leader of the Legion of Lucifer just could not escape his gut feeling that this "request for assistance" was actually a trap...

As the Kandorese national team manages to win again, the news from the training camp and press came back. Head coach Yúan Genshí will step down from his position directly. The talks with the football association and the ministry of sports have concluded last night, and the only way out for them seemed to be the resignation of coach Yúan. The team however seems to welcome this recent move of the football association and has already urged to be in full co-operation with their new coach. Taking over the coaching position will be the 53 year old coaching veteran and old international, Xí-tiang, with the current assistant coach Huangzhou Yu still in place.

Yúan answered questions from the press only briefly and issued a leaving statement at the end of the Q&A panel of the football association.

"It is with a heavy hard I was forced to announce my resignation. I have promised Kandorith the world and did not deliver during my time as coach of this wonderful and proud team. First of all I would like to sincerely offer my apologies to the Kandorese people, who have stuck with their team trough my reign of disaster, throughout two tournaments. I have a lot of respect for these fans and of course for the Kandorese team as a whole. IT was my duty to uplift the team even further than my predecessor did, but this is where I failed. I could not even be on the same level as the legendary Xíanjí.

As a last goodbye I would like to offer my apologies to the football association, the players of the Kandorese national selection and the Kandorese domestic league as a whole; the ministry of sports and recreation and my most sincere apologies to his majesty, the emperor. My resignation will come in full effect after I leave this room and I have vowed to leave the most capable man in charge, as deemed by the football association. I want to thank everyone for their time and effort within and around this team and once again, I would like to apologize to them and wish all my former colleagues, the very best."

Touching words from a very pale looking, sleepless looking former coach of the national team. Xí-tiang has alreayd announced several changes just minutes after Yúan left the stage. He vowed to build a more balanced and technique based Kandorese team; a team which would be worthy of calling themselves a national selection. He also exclaimed his training schedule will be more team based as a whole, with individual attention for every player; as to him there is a need for specialists who can grow players to their potential. The training regime will be effective immediately and his tactics will be on display in the upcoming match already.

An interesting note to the new team; Xí-tiang has announced his players are in charge of the team, trough the means of democracy and expertise they will talk over all tactics, formations and starting positions with each other and decide on it with each other. A bold move from the new coach, will it work out? The Kandorese supporters are out for blood, they want to see their team restored to glory; can Xí-tiang do this? The famed Red Dragons need a very convincing comeback and a very convincing game to still make a chance.

True Gamer
News about Games, from a pro-GamerRevolt Perspective

Prince of Saintland 2 Patch only fixes DLC bug

Prince of Saintland 2, the sequel to the decent, albeit unabashedly pro-Church of Saintland, Prince of Saintland, is a buggy mess. The game, which is set in Keronama, now part of the Holy Republican Empire, during the Keronaman Revolution, features a Prince of Saintland on a quest to recover pieces of the alleged "True Cross" from the militant atheists who have seized control of the Keronaman government. The game is set during the Reign of Fear period, when the Revolutionaries had outlawed Christianity and even changed the calendar, even going so far as to establish a 10-day week, along with a new innovation, during the summer, known as Daylight Savings Time, which "saved" time by setting clocks forward an hour during the summer and back to normal during the winter. These innovations would be discarded after the government of Keronama fell. Keronama would later join the Federation of Free Republics.

However, you are not reading True Gamer for a history lesson. You are reading our fine web site for information about games, without the theological propaganda and unethically biased reviews that are rampant in corporate gaming journalism at the moment. Prince of Saintland 2, of course, has become famous over the past week for being filled with bugs and glitches, including many game-breaking bugs. One such bug leaves you unable to complete the game, past a certain point, should you fail to do certain missions in the correct order, an order that is not intuitive in the slightest.

Yet, in spite of all of the game-breaking flaws, Prince of Saintland 2 has received a nearly-unanimously positive reception from the corporate gaming press. Not to toot our own horn or anything, but True Gamer awarded this game a 2 out of 5, for its numerous flaws, flaws that we expressed in more detail in our review. We will not repeat discussion of those flaws here.

RepublicSoft's Saber Du Trieux apologized several days ago for the state in which the game was shipped and promised a speedy patch to fix the game's numerous flaws. Today, that patch went live and was downloaded automatically for all Saint Platinum subscribers who had purchased and played the game. However, True Gamer has learned that the patch only fixed a single bug. This is rather disturbing, but what is even more disturbing is the bug that RepublicSoft deemed the most important to fix.

That bug was the bug that prevented the purchase of downloadable content for the game. Prince of Saintland 2 is packed with numerous microtransactions, which allow the player to purchase additional health, better weapons, better armor or even to buy their way out of a level! We at True Gamer believe that this practice is unacceptable and find it unbelievable that the corporate gaming press would not only defend this broken mess of a game, but would also refrain from criticizing the absurd DLC model adopted by RepublicSoft for this game.

To put it plainly: Prince of Saintland 2 sucks and True Gamer recommends it to nobody, in its current state.

Chapter 2.5 - Part II

From Part I
...It was only noon. A handful of a day. We sat down for lunch. I put together what I could. It was quiet. A pin could be heard hitting the ground, I swear. Since I put the plate down, he did not raise his sight. Suddenly, he looked up.

Part II

I remember his sadden eyes. He looked so depressed. The smiling and happy boy that I saw that morning before he left for school was no more. They way he looked at me without saying a word. His silence was deafening. I had no idea what could have been going through his head. I certainly knew what was going through mine. Should I have talked to him about it? I don't know.

Our plates remained touched. I saw a tear run down his face. I couldn't handle it anymore. I lost it. There I sat watching my little brother cry. He was always so strong, unmoved - guess everyone has a breaking point. I went to him and attempted to comfort him. He closed me out. He got up and ran to his room. He locked his door. Something that was quiet now echoed through the house. A locked door.

What did I do wrong? It' not my fault mom and dad died that day. It's not my fault our sister died. Should it be? Ugh.

My best friend stopped by later that day. She didn't help me feel any better, not at all. She stayed for about a hour or so, and all she said was: "I'm leaving. My whole family is." We sat in utter silence. Before she left he hugged me and gave me a kiss on my cheek. That was the last time I saw here - she could be dead for all I know.

Minutes, hours, and days passed. I spent most of my time reading on the small couch near the window. The window remained closed. I never got the urge to open, my mom used to do it. I didn't want to replace her. So, I just sat when the lamp turned on. When I didn't want to read, I would look around and pretend that nothing had changed. My mom would be in the kitchen cooking something up. My dad would be sitting here where I was, reading the newspaper - even though he would reread it over and over again. My little sister would sit on the dining table doing practically anything. My brother and I would sit on the large couch and play video games. That was our typical Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, we would all get up and go to church and then we would just spend the day outside of our home. Memories.

Memories. I think that is what hurts the most. My little brother was extremely attached to my mom. I think that is hat hurts him the most. I mean, at time being, I could only assume since he didn't talk to me. If we would only have family nearby, thing would be different. I took things for granted. Many things.

Okay. I was absolutely tired of having no one to talk to. My brother was there but he really was not. I was tired of this deafening silence. I decided to do something. I walked up to the door of my brother and knocked. I was ignored, and I yelled certain things through the door. I remember telling him that it was just us two now, and that we couldn't continue like this. I broke down crying against his door. I didn't know what else to do.

I got up and went to my room. To my luck, I had to pass everyone else's room before I got to mine. I walked into my sister's room. Her stuffed animals were lined up on her bed. Her bed was still messy. She forgot to make it the morning she left. Besides that, her room was perfectly clean. Her bookshelf well lined up, and the desk was in order. I smiled when I saw all the pictures she had. She collected them. I turned and left the room.

I, then, got to my parents room. It was slightly opened but, I didn't have the courage to enter their room. I grasped the door knob and just turned around and directed myself to my room. My room. I got into bed and just looked up and slowly drifted into sleep, thinking what tomorrow might just bring. If it would follow the pattern of being worst than the day before. Guess I would just live each day at a time.

To be continued...

Kernansquillec, je t'aime

Written by a group of passionate Kernansquillecan fans Kernansquillec, je t'aime (Kernansquillec, I love you) is now one of the must-know songs of any self-respecting Kers' fan. Written entirely in French the song is famed for it's light but fast paced melody while also taking a few pokes at Kernansquillec's regional neighbors, namely Astograph, Djocoranga, Zenic and Darmen.

THE ECONOMIC JOURNAL

Finance Ministry Rejects Gold Sale Proposal
Thursday, 27 November 2014

MISHAWAKA, MISHAWAKA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION -- The Ministry of Finance has announced that its board has voted against a proposed plan to sell up to a quarter of its gold reserves in order to strengthen its foreign exchange reserves and the federal budget surplus.

Minister Sakura Kusatsu commented in the brief press release that "the current international prices do not justify such a sale", and expressed that the ministry would continue to "watch markets closely" to ensure that significant sales are done in the most favourable conditions and "earn the most value for the Gylian people".

The move was largely expected by economic analysts. The Gylian thaler has been a fiat currency since independence, and governments have largely used the country's precious metal deposits either as reserves, or sold in modest quantities on the international market to raise additional funds. The Finance Minister has overseen a prudent policy towards gold sales throughout their term in office, and there was little expectation that it would change policies at present.

They Came Bearing the Cross

Adam Watson quickly finished typing the letter to Veleik Nicholls, he turned off his phone and tossed it in a trash bin.

"A bit melodramatic, aren't we? Paranoid, even?" Solomon asked.

"It was store-bought, and I don't trust an inch of it. Some poor Esperansan will pick it up, crack the passcode, and then get tossed in a prison for helping me out. I doubt Antonio Sandoval will be smart enough to do anything else."

"You're right. He cancelled the bloody Hicañan Universal Education and-"

"He cancelled the great HUE?!!?!?!"

"He cancelled the HUE, and replaced it with an almost-entirely religious program. He's truly thrown his lot in with the Holy Republican Empire, hasn't he?" Solomon said dryly. It was true. By now, it was almost impossible for anyone to deny that Antonio Sandoval had rigged the election with Republican help and ascended to the newfound throne.

"We've only one hope, I suppose," Adam Watson said. Solomon looked curiously at him.

"Start the revolution," Ervine said, "with or without help. I'll buy the masks, you get the flag done."

Solomon Ervine had gone into politics for a reason - he detested art. So designing the next national flag of Hicaña was a bit difficult.

"Alright," he told the man at the shop, "give me a custom flag - blue-white-green color pattern, blue a bit larger with some white stars, please." Reviewing it in his head, he realized it would look good.

"That's the Calanian Union, sir."

"Oh. Erm, blue cross, red and white diagonal boxes?" he was better at design then he'd thought.

"That's Buyan. sir."

"Okay, fine. Red-black-green tricolor, and a white circle in the center. In it, I want bull privates. The privates of a bull. nclude the bull if you must so viewers can properly identify, but just...do that, please." there was no way anybody would have put the privates of a bull on their flag.

"Sir, are you just going to waste my time and recite flags that already exist, or do I need to kick you out?"

"WHAT!" Solomon shouted. "THERE IS ACTUALLY A NATION WITH - THAT - ON THEIR FLAG!"

"Only in - er, Atlanean Oceania. Audioslavia's flag is exactly that.

"Um, okay. Let me think a bit." And he thought a bit.

Twenty minutes later, he was watching his flag be designed electronically.

"That's beautiful," Adam Watson said as he looked at the flag.

In return Solomon was given a mask, a matchbox, and - one of a few Watson had taken from a gun shop, buying the first and using it to steal the others - a pistol.

"Are you ready for this?" Watson said. It came to Solomon suddenly - they were going on a suicide mission. Wave the flag, pew pew pew, and they would have taken out a few officers at most. Why was Adam Watson doing it?

"Why us? Aren't we the future hopes of Hicaña?"

"Yes. Today we lead. Tomorrow we die. And the day after, the uprising begins."

"Oh, lead by who?"

"Samuel Antony."

"He's dead," Ervine said flatly.

Watson didn't respond, just pointed the gun over his head and fired. Immediately Ervine was diving to the ground, hearing the bullet strike home on the other side of the road. Watson readjusted and fired over his head again, and now people were running at him, ready to tear the gun from Watson's hand, and some policemen were coming soon, that comforted Ervine as he dodged Watson's lead maelstrom knowing that looking up would kill him, the policemen would arrest Watson and Ervine would run from them and he would hide and be safe and start a revolution in a more quiet way.

He managed to peek at them again - they were running towards him. It seemed obvious at first that he was not their target, but a staccato burst from the two-way radio one held - subdue the target, make sure Watson is safe sealed his fate.

Only one way out.

Ervine pointed his gun carefully at himself, held his finger to the trigger, and said out loud: "If you don't kill Watson in thirty seconds I'm shooting myself."

Silence.

"A head wound will be fatal. I want Antonio Sandoval on the line and I want him now."

Silence.

"You have ten seconds," Solomon said, trying to take the shakiness from his voice. Finally someone moved in the corner of his vision, stealthily, with handcuffs ready. Ervine quickly took the gun from his head and shot him, then put it back suicidally at his temple.

"I can shoot Watson now if you'd like," he managed - this time evenly. "Let Sandoval listen in, but don't let him speak, mute him."

A soldier thumbed his radio. "What is it now, Lieutenant?" Sandoval said instantly. Solomon Ervine nodded, and the dictator was muted. "Hand that to me."

"How many of you are Catholic?" he asked, letting Sandoval listen. He then covered the speaker and whispered: "Raise your hands - he'll never see the result and nobody else can see us - in fact, nobody has seen this, and," he removed his thumb from the speaker and practically shouted: "...violators will be shot by Antonio Sandoval. Right, President Sandoval?"

"Right," said Sandoval uneasily. Time for the dupe. "Raise your hands now so I can take you out and dedicate myself to fighting infidel atheists. I am," he whispered "not" in between the words, covering the speaker, "your enemy still, until I prove how serious I am to Sandoval, so I think I may remind you the consequences of lying. Up with those hands now."

Eight of the eleven raised their hands.

"I give you one last chance to repent and switch to the true side," Solomon said, grinning. Two put their hands down.

"That few? Perfect," he said, and shot the other six. "Today we march. Find your comrades and send them for the one true cau-" purposefully cutting off in the middle of things, he shot a bullet into the air and smashed the radio against the ground.

As if prompted, one of the other men drew his radio and said: "Ervine was shooting at them, so we took him out. Watson is dead as well." Watson protested, Ervine shot him in the foot. "Oops, he's still alive for a moment. Anyways, we're returning back now. Sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite, President Sandoval." When done, he too smashed the radio.

"Thank you. Find your comrades and send them for the one true cause. Somebody hold this flag, my arms are tired from all of that revolutionary work."

In two hours, an army of one hundred atheist policemen were ready to strike.
