It's a World Cup, people always make mistakes, and so far all the mistakes made this World Cup have been incredibly minor. Criticising the hosts will not help anything - it's enough hard work as it is.

Mistakes?

What are these mistakes of which you speak, youngling?

World Cup 69 was absolutely flawless, from the initial organisation* right down to the identity of the eventual winner. Especially the identity of the eventual winner.

*boos loudly*

WC71 is currently on the amount of mistakes that WC66 made, and WC66 was awesome.

If you are in need of an OOC spark, or just want to play along, Tropicorp's TAIT is looking to challenge any nation that thinks they have half-decent Research & Development teams in the area's of Artificial & Predictive Intelligence to match the quality of their matchup calculation capabilities.

Without giving anything away, my TGs suggest that the Lord Almighty Gregory is just slightly worried about what the Holy Empire might do in retaliation for his choosing to execute my squad (or the dream simulacra squad replacements, anyway).

So he should be.

Away draw against an unknown, no roster, no rp, crazyness but I suppose crazier has happened. Home draw against a somewhat unknown, roster, RPer, okay okay okay but still crazyness.

Well then, with everyone's favourite Polarian one being a bit awol at the moment, I guess it's down to me to get this whole Cup of Harmony voting instigated.

With the first half of qualifying reaching its end and a bid in from San Jose Guayabal and Ceni already, let's set a tentative timeframe (based on discussions with PIS) for bidding to end and host voting to start for Sunday 29th March (this all to be confirmed still), which should give plenty of time to have the CoH vote all sorted in a timely fashion.

So that gives those still thinking of bidding roughly 4 days to get any more CoH bids in

Okay, seems that the bid missed during the action of the forum, but let me provide the link for all of you if you want to check the bid and make questions or criticism of any kind.

I may have missed it somewhere and did look on the host bid. The original bid was to have 30 groups with the winner of each group to qualify, since we only have twenty does that mean the winner of each group qualifies with the second best 10 qualifying or will there be a playoff amongst the 20 second placed teams to determine the final 10?

There will be a play-off over two legs.

I would like to hear from Felix why all these errors are happening in Group 8, seeing as he's about to take over the other 19 groups. To me, it seems the most likely possibility is that he accidentally rescorinated a matchday and had to do everything manually, though even then I don't see why he couldn't just scorinate it the normal way and just do the table manually. As long as it's some error that isn't likely to effect the other groups, I don't think we need to be too concerned, but I'm concerned that it will carry over, so I think some explanation is in order to make sure that won't happen.

Well this is highly embarrassing.

I've been doing everything manually ever since I messed up somewhere in the scorinating in one of the first two matchdays and I've been doing putting the matches myself. A mix of RL stress and tiredness resulting from the unusually heavy weekdays I've been having probably made me mess up the matches for certain matchdays and for that I am really, really sorry to everyone in Group 8. I plan to have a restful weekend and none of the mistakes made in Group 8 will transfer to my half of scorinating for the rest of the WCQ.

I will consult with my co-host and figure out what we are going to do with MD 7. MD 6 was done correctly whereas in MD 7 I mixed up the 6th and 7th teams.

Again, I can't say how sorry I am for messing this up big time and no amount of excuses will fix that. I promise the second half of WCQs will go much more smoother than first half. I will post an update on what my associate and I have decided to do with the MD 7 issue for Group 8.
