They're not the end of your problems.

You've perhaps forgotten that the remaining team in your group is the oldest active nation in the tournament, a four-time World Cup winner, and - up until the streak was broken in WC 74 - the nation with one of the longest streaks of consecutive World Cup qualifications in tournament history.

The Empire has fallen considerably in the ranks due to the failures to qualify in 74 & 75, but up until recently Valanora v. The Holy Empire was the NSWC version of Italy v. Argentina.

So 'tis a tough group, to be sure.

But if you want divine intervention, you could always pray to the only god that's actively playing in your group. The Fog-Thing has been known to be merciful.

And now it's the equivalent of.... Italy v. Argentina. Sorry, I had to do that.

I got bored and compiled the kit colours for every WC nation. Disclaimer: Osarius' kit links from WC74 are broken and there's no more recent WCC roster, so this is just what me and NSI remember them being. Also everyone's was just simplified to their most primary colour, which was really hard with Vilita's kits since it's very, very hard to pick a primary colour (also any stripe/hoop kits).

This was inspired by someone talking about how shiny and bright one of the groups was.

Group A
Ceni - Red / White
Brenecia - Blue / White
Osarius - Red / Black
Ficiscia - Black / White

Group B
Eura - Red / Blue
Valanora - Blue / Green
The Holy Empire - Yellow / Red
Flardania - Blue / White

Group C
Audioslavia - Red / White
San José Guayabal - Blue / White
Abanhfleft - White / Red
Port Christopher - Blue / White

Group D
Valladares - White / Sky
Barunia - Sky / Terracotta
Krytenia - White / Blue
Savalen - White / Yellow

Group E
Electrum - Blue / White
Vilita - Blue / Green
Semarland - Red / White
Damukuni - Blue / Red

Group F
Unified Sunrise Islands - White / Grey
Royal Kingdom of Quebec - Black / Red
Turori - Brown / White
Chiata - Blue / White

Group G
Nephara - Green / Terracotta
Pasarga - Green / Black
Chromatika - Grey / Orange
Fluvique - White / Red

Group H
Farfadillis - Red / Black
Cosumar - White / Blue
Gregoryisgodistan - Black / Yellow
Red Blackiland - Black / White

Most popular combination
Six nations have blue homes and white aways.

Most popular home combinations
9 - Blue
6 - Red, White
4 - Black

Most popular away combinations
12 - White
5 - Red (7 counting Nepharim and Barunian terracotta as red)
3 - Black, Blue

have fun with this largely useless information lol

At one stage we had a recurring competition for past BoF winners, in which the last eight of them (with any of those no longer active replaced at the hosts' discretion either by the runners-up from the same contests or by slightly earlier winners) played against each other during/alongside the WC qualifiers, to provide some extra material for RP. Obviously the Bears would no longer be involved, but maybeso some of you newer winners might consider reviving that contest to have potential?

Welsh Cowboy was very promising though (great RPer who almost qualified for the WC in his first cycle) and its a shame he didn't stick around...

I have 2 questions.

1. Is XKorinate frowned upon in the World Cup? If so, what is normally used, other than spreadsheets?
2. When is the next world cup? Can someone TG me when it is before applications close?
I'm a dude.
Also, call me Amuaplye, not Amuapyle, or Amu.
