Of course, I'm not ruling out a discussion in the future on whether we later amend the constitution so that amendments do have to pass with a 2/3rds majority of voters, but for the time being let's clarify the existing one and vote it in before we start fiddling with it.

Well, we've got more than enough secondings to hold a vote on PIS' proposal there - I'll stick it in with BoF and WC host voting when that swings around.

Speaking of which, I'm still planning on bidding, and I've nearly finished sorting out a bid amongst interested parties for a Vilitan Style bid - though I'm still open to anyone experienced joining me in the WC co-host position - so far the most experienced party for that position is yet to reply to my TG.

Well, it looks like it's finally come to that time.

I created this nation exactly two years and two days ago after reading a thread on AskReddit which asked which sites you visit or which site are you surprised is still around, and I saw this website called NationStates. I was intrigued by its concept, so I checked it out. There has not been a day since then in which I haven't logged on NationStates. In late October, I discovered this community. Since then, I have been privileged to host two of three WCC-sanctioned tournaments, a regional tournament, and plenty of other stuff, in addition to meeting new people and having a good laugh with them (for the most part). It's been such a good time that it's all flashed by, and I'm just as stunned that time has gone by so quickly.

However, I realize that juggling schoolwork, a possible job(?), and this is probably going to not be in my best interests. Therefore, I'm announcing a sabbatical/hiatus from this website, and the community. It's been a tough decision, but I feel like that it was necessary for me to do in order to continue. I realize that many have foreign players in my leagues, so they are free to go wherever they please. In addition, any of my players who play abroad are either free to return to Yttribia and go in lockdown, or they are free to play for the country in which they play club football. Just pop a message if you're doing so. Apologies to the WGPC too, and whomever I may have forgotten. I''ll try to score domestic leagues and maybe sign-up for the WC to maintain membership, but even that is iffy. Regarding the CE, I'll be choosing my successor so keep an eye on that Esportivans.

Lastly, I want to thank you, NS Sport. You guys are some of the most talented and amazing writers I've ever seen. You are by far the best users on this website, and are absolutely a delight to read and talk to. Seriously, I love you guys so much it isn't even funny.

This isn't a goodbye, but it's more of an "until next time." Hopefully sooner than later. Maybe under this nation. Maybe under another one. I don't know, we'll see in due time.

You join by signing up in the sign up thread once it comes around again (for the WC). For your first time you'd also be eligible for the Baptism of Fire, a first timers only tournament. Scorinators, programs designed by the community are used to generate scores, each of which uses a mix of the three following Rs: Ranks, RP, and Random. Ranks are generated off previous results, and the current WC ranks (also known as KPB), can be found in the sig of the starter of this thread. RP is the bonus granted for contributing a role play to the tourney, and random is.. Well.. Random. After the BoF, you will participate in the WC Qualifiers, after which only a few of the participants continue to the WC itself. Nations that actively RPed and didn't qualify however will take part in the Cup of Harmony. All of these tournaments (BoF, Qualifiers, WC and CoH) contribute to your nation's KPB rank.

EDIT: Also don't be discouraged by being new, I think I've been here for like a couple months or less and I just came third in the U-18 World Cup, if you're a good writer you can do good even if you're new.

We currently have the big regional tournaments (AOCAF, Campionato Esportiva and Copa Rushmori) going on, so once those are completed, it shouldn't be long before the BoF. The exact timing will depend on when the bids start coming in.
