Myself, Krytenia, Bostopia, Schiavonia, Liventia and Sorthern Northland all went out bowling together, many moons ago. I think that counts as a fairly large NS meet-up, and certainly the largest Sporting one.

Wow, that's quite impressive.

Maybe somebody will someday organize the NS Sports Conference. Imagine somebody doing a live host bid.

Does anyone happen to know about how long will the BoF start after August 19th?
'Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.' (II Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV)

No one does until someone submits a bid for the tournament.

Assuming a bidding deadline of 2 weeks after the signup thread opened (as its been for the past few years), a one week voting period and the defeat of reopen host bid's perennial effort to delay the start of every tournament, I'd estimate around 4 weeks or so from today at the earliest.

Yep and will use that name to avoid all warranted confusion, also the BoF too.

I don't know if you've received permission from Legalese to claim the south of their nation, but given how long Legalese has been inactive and all the one post that Southern Legalese has made... wouldn't it be better to start fresh?

First off, that name popped of the top of my head and I will be claiming that soon(thought it might already been used) and I shall warmly direct you to our RMB, which it is part of an RP that I will be doing through out the course of this WC cycle and into the next AOCAF and for quick explanation the RSL is a semi-autonomous region in my nation which wants to be its own country. (complicated but the rps will explain in detail). I already have 3 pages on my google docs done, which is maybe 1/5th to 1/10th done.

Now I'm out of the AOCAF, it's time to make this announcement.

For the time being, I'm going to retire from NS and NS Sports. After almost 6 years on NS and 5,5 years on NS Sports, I feel like it's time to while off. In the last few months I've been on very sporadically to post a roster and a couple RPs, and my time for NS has really dropped since last year. For now, I'm a little out of ideas. I've decided to take off time now I still think I'll be back some day, instead of waiting until I'm sick of it and I'll never come back. I've been thinking a long time on this, something that's been a (large) part of my spare time for a long time, to the point where I've got a full size Ko-orenite flag hanging above my desk.

I'm not going to let this nation die/CTE, and even if I'm never back on here, Ko-oren will stay my setting for whatever I'll be doing.

I'll still stay on here as the Rugby Union vice president/NSRB President, something I've also let slip.

I want to thank all of you who have RP'd with/against me, all of you who have hosted all of those great tournaments, and everyone else who's part of NS Sports!

I'm going to miss you Ko-oren, you were my first rival in the World Bowl since you swept me in my first games, and beating you was the main measuring stick I used to see if I was a top nation in the World Bowl. I hope that if/when you come back, our football teams get matched up again.

Also on another note, is there going to be another U-18 WC before the next World Cup cycle starts? We didn't have one last cycle(or the one before that, for that matter).

I understand where you're coming from man. Hope you'll be back when you feel it's right to do so. Enjoy retirement. ;)

I echo everybody else's sentiments regarding Ko-oren. He'll definitely be missed.

As regards the Sporting World Cup (U-18 WC), I've put it on hold for IC reasons having to do with the political situation in the Free Republics. I wouldn't have any objection if you wanted to host an edition of it, as I'm going to be co-hosting the WBC and hosting the first Olympia Games in the next few weeks so I don't really have the time to revive it right now (but it would be a good warmup for the new Free Republics National Team prior to their entry into my upcoming spiritual successor to the Cuppet that will be ICly run by The O'Reilly Organization).
Past Tech/Magical Tech nation based out of the Realm of the Gods, a dimension inspired by RPGs, mythology and ancient/medieval history. Founder of the Olympia Games and host of the I Olympia Games.

The user behind this nation is better known as Saintland/Free Republics/Falatulu and is the author of A Newcomer's Guide to NS Sports.

I'd try hosting it if I had someone to co-host with. I'm already going to be scoring a ton of stuff for my MMA competition, since the opening season has more fights than future ones because the ranks need to be determined.
