I remember when you first came into NS, Apox. It's been great to see you develop into a major contributor. Best of luck, and hopefully you return someday like those of us who just can't stay away for too long :p

On a different note, I'm looking for a Senior Partner (of recent experience) to bid for the next Baptism of Fire with. If anyone is interested, please send me a TG. Thanks!

Apox, I have not been here long enough to know you as more than the one who denied me my World Cup qualification on my first attempt, but with you leaving, I'm somehow glad you could get a last shot at the Cup, I have many more chances to get a qualification. I felt like I should say goodbye to my first playoff opponent... :P

Postby Northern Sunrise Islands » Tue Apr 12, 2016 8:37 am

...I can't really describe it on a few words, y'know. So excuse me while I go prepare something more appropriate.

The Radio Esportivan version of Northern Sunrise slowly walks towards a bench, a guitar in hands. He sits somewhat peacefully on the bench, laying his back calmly, adjusting the guitar on his legs. A couple of finger slides over the cords of the instrument before he finally remembers of the one song he wanted to play. A smile of sorts forms on his lips as he starts to sing over a somewhat mellow but comforting song.

When it's over
That's the time I remember why I liked you again
And when it's over
That's the time I remind myself why I were your rival again
And when you Go
Go
Go
Go
I know
And it never ends
It never ends

All the things that I used to say
All the words that got in the way
All the things that I used to know
Have gone out the window
The trophy we played with that navy thing
All the chants I used to sing
The games we both played and their flow
Have gone out the window

A certainly more spent Northern Sunrise from the games arrive, holding a glass of hot chocolate as he sits exhausted, head looking down, briefly taking a sip. The RE one nudges his right knee, causing the games' version look up, giving a brief smile as the one playing the song signals him to pay attention.

I'm missing you
I never knew how much we changed
I'm missing you
I never knew how much to me you mattered
I need you
And when you go
Go
Go
Go
I know
It never ends
Never ends

All the jokes that I used to make
All the stuff we used to take
All the things that I used to know
Have gone out the window
The youth we used to pit
When after some time you stepped up your hit
The flies we had, high and low
Have gone out the window

The games' Northern Sunrise lays the hot chocolate to his side, nodding to the musician that he'd take over singing, with a heartily "Thank You Very Much" muttered rather weakly. He nodded, keeping to his guitar.

I'm already missing you
Even if I knew one day you would leave here
I'm missing you
Wish you one day feel the same and come back to face me
I need you and when you go go go go
I know
It never ends
It never ends

When it's over
Can you still come over
And when it's over
Is it really over
When it's over
That's the time I remind you why I rivalled you again

The chorus finally comes, and both spring a heart warming smile before deciding both to start singing again.

You were a good sport in many ways
Even if me being a fool didn't pay
All the cups we used to play
Have gone out the window
Never knew if you considered me your rival the best
But it makes me feel glad on that I didn't rest
All the Woffords and Senators
Have gone out the window

There's so much to say
And so few time left on my way
All the concepts that I used to know
Have gone out the window
You aged so much
When mine were still thirty-four at most
All the great names we had
Have gone out the window

A while later.

"Do you think that was a bit... um... questionable way to say good bye to a rival you deemed so highly?" The RE version Sunrise said, still toying a bit with the guitar.
"Well." the games' one thought. "On my world, she was an annoying girl." He then took a sip of the chocolate, before popping up a smile. "But she was OUR annoying girl."
"Heh." the RE Sunrise thought for a second, before speaking again. "You're lucky yours didn't spend two months leaping under a tree, trying to catch and kill just because of a pet."
"Are you kidding?" the games' one asked, wide-eyed. "This was her modus operandi!"
A brief silence, before the RE one tilted his cap. "Man, we're pretty equal."
He went back to his hot chocolate, taking another sip. "Wonder why."
Tails... Watch out, you're gonna crash, aaaaah!

It's been nearly a month since the last WC ended, and with approximately six weeks from signups thread going up to MD1 of qualifying, perhaps those who are planning on bidding could start shifting their bids onto the forums? Don't want to have too long of a gap between WCs.
