First of all, condoliances, Semarland.

Ok all, I'm interested to join the world cups, and later maybe more but there's one thing I did not understand from the prerequisites to join:
"i) Posting a valid, timely roster or squad list in each of the most recent two completed World Cup's official Roster threads grants membership of the WCC. This must then be renewed each Cup to maintain membership."
Do I have to post my roster in the current roster thread, and the one of the world cup before or are there two roster threads? I do not understand. I already have a valid roster, I thinki, and I'm about to have my crest and kits made, hopefully.

Before you can post your roster, you have to be signed up to the tournament. So the rule is basically, that you have to sign up for two world cups and at least post a roster in each in order to join the WCC. It should be noted that the WCC gives you voting rights - you do not have to be a member to compete.

Unfortunately, sign ups are closed at the moment, as the event is already well underway. You will have to wait until the sign ups for WC73 open.

However, does that mean I can compete without being a member?

Correct.

Absolutely anyone can sign up to participate in a World Cup.

However, only by posting rosters in two consecutive World Cups do you gain the right to vote on tournament hosting and other issues.

The only way you can maintain voting rights without posting a roster is by virtue of being a former World Cup host.

A little while afer the previous ends. Often there will be a bit of downtime, until a new sign up thread is posted, we get BoF and WC bids, we have the BoF and then the World Cup comes around again. Before then though, there's several other sporting tournaments you could partake in.

At the moment I'm only interested in national tournaments, just to get the hang of it, but what kind of? Are they recurrent or do you just mean possible new tournaments?

Typically 3-4 times per year, starting around 6-8 weeks (at the earliest) after the previous one ended. Signup threads usually go up within a couple weeks after the previous World Cup ends, but it did take over a month for the World Cup 69 and 70 signup threads to be posted (due to low levels of interest in bidding for those WCs). We have a new President for the upcoming cycle, so the recent practice of opening the signup thread only after a host bid is received may, or may not, continue at his discretion.

During the off-cycle, we usually have the regional tournaments for the 3 major sports regions, the youth tournaments (though the current Di Bradini Cup has seemingly been abandoned by the host) and tournaments for other sports (baseball, gridiron football, basketball, ice hockey, rugby, etc.).

The Holy Empire has been using the same basic kit template for a very, very long time.

It might be time to come up with something a little more up to date; kit design's moved on a bit since, well, whenever it was.

If you fancy your chances updating one of the most famous kits in World Cup history, please TG me.

There are two rules:

1) you must stay true to the colour template in the current Holy Empire kit (see my current roster post) - no radical re-designs, please.

2) absolutely no corporate logos - though you can incorporate any of the symbols in the Imperial flag.

A little off the topic speech i would just like to remind whoever has been in charge of the Nssports Fantasy Premier League league to get it set up again for the upcoming season, if that has already been done and i just can't see it could someone inform me of the password. Beyond that if the person is no longer on lets make sure we get a new one set up and everyone has access. If there is anything i really love it it is another area in which PIS can hand us all our buts.

Edit: note while I have your attention I am making sweeping changes to my rosters( drastic much) and am looking for a personality to take us back to our (although brief) heights once again. If anyone knows of a good to Greta manager that wants one chance at glory, or completely sucking it up give me a tg. I do have my own person in mind as well if offers are not the greatest.
