The NationStates Triathlon Association proudly presents...
First Edition
Star United States and HopNation
Welcome to the first Triathlon World Championships, the premier triathlon event in the multiverse! This event brings together the best of the best from the past cycles of NTA Qualifying Events and the most recent Olympic Games. Athletes from around the multiverse have been invited to partake (based on finishing results in the qualifying events) in the festivities, comradery, and finally (what everyone is looking forward to) the Championship Race. The events will be held over a one week time period kicking off with the Opening Ceremonies held in HopNation on Friday the 24th. Then comes a fun run on Sunday, a new event where we invite friends and family to partake and join in our shared love of the Triathlon. Then we will get down to business on Tuesday the 28th with round one, the Qualifier. Here we will narrow our field down to the select few that will then run in the Triathlon World Championships Final, held on Thursday the 30th. Just before the doom sets in, depending on when it all starts to spread. All ending with the Closing Ceremonies in Star United States after the final race.
HopNation – With an array of athletic talent spread through out HopNation they have many triathlon events through out the year and send their best to participate in the NTA events. They are also a current member of the NTA Board, ranked first on the rankings, and have qualified their top three triathletes for this event. They are bringing host experience from the Tri-Hop as well as from puppet Timbermunich’s hosting of the Triathlon World Tours.
Star United States – One of the first hosts in triathlons, current president of the NTA, and proprietor of the Star Triathlon Worldwide Tournaments (most recent: Fifth edition). He is no stranger to the triathlon world and is currently holding down the fourth place spot in the rankings.
More IC information will come from both of your hosts once we get closer to the event start date.
Date | Event
10-24 | Opening Ceremony
10-26 | Fun Run
10-28 | Qualifying
10-30 | Final & Closing Ceremony
Fun Run – This is just as it sounds a fun run and is open to all of the qualified triathletes, team staff, and families of those two entities. This will also split the field in half and place 15 of our qualified triathletes in each of the host nations. (details of each will be provided prior to the Fun Run date)
Qualifying Race – but you say, ‘Aren’t all the triathletes here qualified already?’, well yes, yes they are but we are going to narrow those qualified individuals down even more. Our field of thirty will be split into three groups of ten, and then the top 5 of each of those will move onto the Final. The groups will be split amounts the two hosts as well, with Groups A and C being hosted in HopNation while Group B will be in Star United States.
The Final – This is it, the last hurrah! This is where the NTA World Champion will be crowned and the triathletes that advance to this event will be able to hold themselves in elite status. This will be a single run, well a swim, cycle, and run, to determine our champion and will be held in Star United States.
