With numbers back up in the 26th edition, there was once again call for a preliminary round of twelve teams, who would join the ten teams with byes in the Round of Sixteen. Each round was randomly drawn, and aside from the final is as ever a two-leg aggregate tie.Fillmore Whigs' entry was accepted only after a clerk at CdC HQ in Bjarnarey noticed that the attempted entry from Presidential America of Madison Squares was actually last season's entry, and rather than just rejecting the incorrect entry we should alter it so as to reflect the probably copy and paste disaster that was that particular entry. The clerk also sent a leather glove to Presidential America's league administrators, with a note attached instructing the firm as a whole to slap themselves with it prior to next season's entry.

The final this season was held at The Barge, Bjarnarey, after I searched the IDSN thread for phrases such as "host bid", "stadium bid" and "site bid" and found only UICA entries. So, despite being the reigning two-time Champions' Cup holders, the region and Multiverse double eludes 1896 Ebor as they are beaten in the final by the surprise package of CA Paulinthal. Despite not being the force in Rushmori football that they used to be, they have produced a vintage performance reminiscent of their glory days here this cycle, and in a fast-paced final at a literally rocking Barge in Bjarnarey, they crushed Mytanar hearts with a two goal win. This win is their sixth, their first since CdC14, and extends their lead as the winningest club in CdC history to three, at twice the amount Royal Khaldoon ever registered, and three times as many as Iturributa United, Navel Sharks, and Atletik Thessia - the only other multiple winners on record. They are the lowest ranked winner since Sortherners (ANC) three cycles ago before the Polarian one-two.



Future bids for host stadia will be taken into consideration, though the default in case of no bids will always be The Barge in Bjarnarey; the floating stadium. A final reminder also that all Rushmori nations only (including any and all puppets) will be able to submit their league champions only (or top ranked team in the event of multi-associational leagues) for entry into the next CdC, the submission period opened when Commerce Heights closed entries to the last UICA tournaments, and will close again when Commerce Heights closes entries to the next UICA tournaments. No invitations will be sent. You must indicate at the bottom of your league summary that you wish your league champion to take part, and I take no responsibility for missing it if you've only shown it in your table.

Please also note that I will continue to monitor the UICA ranks used slightly, and am setting a hard maximum rank next cycle of 80. Any team with a rank higher than that will be cut to 80, and the max rank for the scorinator will be 100.

The Fenbarric Shield, in which the previous season's League and Cup winners play each other in the opening game of the season. This season sees League champions Flippers take on Fenton Cup holders MK Killers.

The 5th Fenton Cup


Last year, MK Killers beat New Beetle 2-0, after a tournament that through up a few surprises. All teams from Division 4 will start in the 1st Preliminary round, and all teams from Division 3 will enter in the 2nd Preliminary Round. After a 3rd Prelim Round in which Div 3 losers participate, the 1st Round will commence. All teams from Div 2 will enter in the 2nd Round, and all teams from Div 1 will enter in the 3rd Round.

Some of this season's highlights included Mesut 1001's 4-3 away victory over Linford United and Chinfell Albion's 7-6 shoutout win over Riverside, both in the First Round, whilst Chilstone became the first Division 4 team to make into the 3rd Round after beating Div 2 side Combat in the 2nd Round. MK Killers and Oldcastle Athletic were pitted up against each other at the earliest possible point, with MK Killers pulling off a 2-0 win. MK Killers also beat Flippers in an epic semi final, and were favourites to beat Merton Rovers in the final, who had done well to get their after beating New Beetle 3-2 in the other semi. So it was holders MK Killers in their 4th final, against Merton Rovers, who were going for their first ever silverware...

A strange format, in which last year's winner (Oldcastle Athletic) is not allowed to take part. The remaining nine teams in Division 1 are split into three groups, and play a match against each other. The three group winners go into a final group, where the winner is crowned champion, and does not qualify for next season's tournament.

The 6th Fenbarric Football League


This was another season that threw up plenty of surprises. New Beetle emerged as a title contender, and at one point in the season were 11 points clear of the chasing pack. However, reigning champions Flippers FC began to chase them down, and during the final quarter of the season the two teams scrapped it out never being more than three points distant of each other. However, New Beetle's loss at home to Arrow Rovers on the penultimate matchday meant that their superior goal difference couldn't save them. All Flippers had to do on the final day was beat MK Killers...but they lost, handing the chance for New Beetle to take their maiden trophy, but they could only draw with Borderlands, meaning the trophy went to Trentford for the second consecutive season.

Money is apparently power, as Hellenic Rouge and Galatica rode the waves of their foreign hauls to Globe Cup spots, the surprising of those coming with Rouge, who are no historical power in Pasarga nor with a large budget. Yet their frugal deals during the transfer window brought in a littany of young, talented foreigners that sprung them from midtable and into the UICA. Their rise however is equally matched by the baffling fall of Tanrısal from the Champions' Cup all the way day to fourteenth. Hampered by the inability to secure wins, the second biggest club in Pasarga will have to look to the upcoming transfer window if they are to make a quick turnaround of it all and try to keep Hellenic from usurping their spot in the upper echelons of Pasargan domestic football.

However the party was clearly on in Paulinthal, with CAP and Santos taking the two CC spots that the league has. Yet their inability to find a victory in the last two matchdays as CAP floundered in a draw and a loss, left Santos from keeping their cross city rivals from taking their third title on the trot. Worse yet for the controversal club is that CAP managed to also put together a magnificent run in the Copa and took the title their as well, completing the first ever domestic double in Pasarga. While the rewards of UICA play will do doubt soften the blow for the Hispanic only club, they are bound to be seeing red after coming oh so close to toppling their rivals and yet letting the entire situation slip from their grasps.

Yet there is hope yet for the SuperLiga clubs not named CAP, as their superstar striker Tobias Moller appears to be on the move, with Audioslavia, Polar Islandstates, and Valanora club scouts being seen at CAP's and the Wanderers' matches this past year. While CAP may be the largest and richest club in football, the SuperLiga is far from being on par with the Polarian or even Vanorian domestic leagues and the allure of that sort of competition may be too much for the striker to handle. If he does go, it will be a huge blow for the side who don't have a great young striker on their youth team right now to step and fill that role. Yet as we have seen with this season, a dip into the transfer market could provide those answers.

Perhaps the biggest note of this season is the complete absence of Stein-los clubs headed to the UICA competition, with Turkish and Club finishing sixth and seventh respectively, plus Tani's poor season. Instead it is Paulinthal and the capital who will be sending multiple teams into the fray. The capital of football may be coming to the capital indeed... if anyone will be able to stop the ruthless efficiency of CAP's attack that is, if Moller does stay.

Pasarga (PAS) Final Site Bids
Champions Cup 54 : Stade de Torgos (90,000), Torgos - The crown jewel of Pasargan footballing stadium, it is both the national stadium and the stadium of the club side Galatica. It was built to be a monument to the prowess that the Pasargan people can achieve whenever they put their minds to it and show the rest of the footballing community that they belong. Located in the heart of the capital, it is easy to reach from anywhere within the city and the noise created inside the stadium has been known to shake surrounding buildings whenever the Wanderers are playing.

Globe Cup 51: Kilmonarch (72,000) Stein-los - Stein-los welcomes any and all travelers to its borders with open arms. Long since believed to be the footballing capital of the nation, usurping the title from both Torgos and Targas, the chance to host the World Cup has the Stein-losians ecstatic. Kilmonarch, the best of which Stein-los has to offer, is a stadium built just a short twenty or so years before with all the latest amenities meant to attract UICA final bids that never really formulated until now.

Series B Champions Cup 51 : Telathron (72,000) Targas - One of two stadiums in Pasarga that has retractable roofs, Telathron is located in the former footballing capital of the nation. Telathron was built as a supposed rival to Stade de Torgos to compete as the national stadium, but the arena feel to the stadium made it lose out. Despite that, it is still a modern stadium that offers the capability to keep the temperatures during the games at a comfortable seventy-five degrees whenever the roof is closed.

The UICA Control and Disciplinary Body has today levied sanctions against the football associations of Arab County, Estenia, and Puppet of New Koln for their part in a match-fixing conspiracy of unprecedented scale. All three associations were found to have ordered their clubs to deliberately lose matches in UICA competitions on multiple occasions after taking illicit payments from a global betting syndicate.

Because these acts constitute gross violations of UICA regulations regarding both match fixing and the independence of clubs, the Control and Disciplinary Body has ordered the following sanctions:

  1. The football association of Estenia is suspended from participation in UICA competitions for seasons 54 and 55 and fined 25 kg Au.
  2. Any association founded by persons involved with the former football associations of Arab County and Puppet of New Koln shall be ordered to show cause why they should not be suspended from participation in UICA competitions for seasons 54 and 55 and fined 25 kg Au.
  3. To preserve the integrity of the competitions, the results of all matches during Champions’ Cup 53 and Globe Cup 50 involving clubs representing Arab County, Estenia, and Puppet of New Koln shall be awarded 3–0 to the opponents, except where the opponents won by a greater margin.
  4. All clubs which were eliminated from Globe Cup 50 by a club from Arab County shall be credited with progression to the next round. FC Chippenham (TSA), which was eliminated from Champions’ Cup 53 by a club from Estenia, shall be credited with progression to the third preliminary round of Globe Cup 50, although the results of its tie against Oljestaden IF (AUD) in the second preliminary round remain valid.
  5. The clubs representing Arab County, Estenia, and Puppet of New Koln shall not be considered as participants in Champions’ Cup 53 or Globe Cup 50 for the calculation of the coëfficient rankings.

The club and association coëfficient rankings for season 53 have been amended in accordance with decisions (c)–(e). The access list for Champions’ Cup 54 is unaffected. A list of matches affected by decision (c) is included in Annex A.

Home to FC Chippenham, the six time winner of the Sarian Super League as well a being the temporary home of the national team following the Lavington Park Disaster, Home Covert is the largest and one of the most imperious of all the stadia in The Sarian.

Built in 2137, Home Covert has been a centrepiece of the capital, and is a tourist destination for football fans all around Esportiva. Designed by architect, Louis Van Rue it is said to be a "revolution in modern architecture". Van Rue describes the inspiration for the stadium on "Making something modern that reflects The Sarian's past."

Because of it's position to the centre of Chippenham, Home Covert has fantastic rail links on the Overground, as well as parking for as many as 3,000 fans. The stadium also offers limited helicopter capability for wealthy fans. The stadium is also remarkably safe, with The Sarian Royal Police Service providing the security.

The stadium has also had experience in hosting international tournaments, with three matches in The Sarian's hosting of the Beltane Cup taking place there, including the third place playoff. All matches were executed to perfection.

The stadium is equipped with two high-tech changing rooms, a press room with a fully serviced bar and sixteen executive boxes, one of which would be made available for UICA officials during the final.

A remarkable and grand stadium, based in the scenic city of Marlborough, the second largest on Isle Regis.

Although Marlborough Town have not been fairing well, as of late, their stadium has been flourishing. Spurred on by it's role in the Beltane Cup - where it saw two major matches - the stadium recently finished a renovation which took it's capacity from 71,400 to 73,000. Making it the second largest stadium in The Royal Isles after Chippenham's Home Covert.

Although having gone through half a dozen refurbishments, renovations and expansions over the past twenty years, the stadium was originally built in 2087, making it one of the oldest sports stadiums still in use in The Sarian today, but you can't tell!

Pristinely looked after, to keep up with the stunning scenery of Isle Regis, the stadium is renowned across the nation for it's cleanliness, a fact fans won't miss. Transport to the stadium is available in a number of ways, while there is limited parking - only around 1,000 cars maximum - the Local Authority offers free park and ride to the stadium and a water bus from multiple locations around the bay for just 1 Imperia per person.

The stadium's facilities are some of the best in the Islands, with the perks of affluent Isle Regis comes a two Michelin star restaurant on campus, in addition to a Maiden Group Hotel, which has kindly offered a free Empress Suite to all UICA officials who come to the Globe Cup final, should Queen Priscilla Stadium win the bid.

The largest stadium in the former capital after the Lavington Park disaster, The Matterhorn is one of the most distinctive stadiums in the city full of stadiums.

Designed by architect, Henry Chapter, whose over work includes the residence of Prince Oliver, Nuttcartmel Palace, and opened in 2139 the stadium is located on the west of the city, meaning it is free of the congestion and pollution of the center and east sides. Although what it does keep from the city is it's excellent transport links.

Guests to the stadium can make use of the car park facility, which can house up to 4,000 cars, both underground and overground metro systems, and bus services. All run regularly and direct to the stadium. Or if they wish, they can catch a water bus from anywhere on the River Avon, which run hourly and take a short walk from the closest dock to the stadium.

Facilities in the stadium are modern, and one of the twelve executive boxes will be made available to UICA officials if The Matterhorn is successful in it's bid.

Following Calne City's relegation this season, it is saddening to think that this stadium will be used in the Second Division next season.

Built in 2094, White Horse Stadium is renowned for being a traditional stadium as an oppose to the architectural boundary pushers of Home Covert and The Matterhorn, that means you get a good old fashioned atmosphere and the fans are a lot closer to the pitch, generating a lot of noise and excitement.

New Calne is a modern and large city - with great transport links from the rest of The Sarian, as such it is simple for fans to stay both in the city and in other, larger towns and cities across The Royal Isles. Bus services run regularly to the stadium, as well as plenty of parking spaces and waterbus facilities.

On sight there is one of Isle Regio's top restaurants, which people travel from all over the city to visit, whether they are football fans or not. The restaurant has kindly offered to organize a seven course banquet for the tournament organizers on the eve of the final, if White Horse Stadium win the host bid.

Paradystopia's newest stadium is fast becoming one of the capital's most renowned pieces of architecture. Towering up from the banks of the river which meanders though the sprawling metropolis, it is also currently the largest sporting venue in the country and keen to get it's name onto the international sporting map.
A great deal of local pride surrounds this building which was funded in part by a conglomerate of fans to house the Adi Saa Academicals prior to their fragmentation from the (Lhadyfee) Artisans. This, in conjunction with it being bordered by the local university (arguably Paradystopia's most revered) and the riverside park which provides a little greenery in the city centre, means that finding a more beautiful location for the cup final will be nigh-on impossible.
Newtown itself is a vast cosmopolitan city and a popular Esportivan tourist location. As long as you can get your head around our esoteric currency, you're certain to enjoy yourself here.

In the South-eastern tip of Paradystopia, you'll find the ancient port city of Mirrun. Famous for the great wall that encompasses most of it, it was a fortress town which watched over the southern coast. Team Info In what was probably the biggest surprise of last season X Island managed to vault up the table to finish tied for the top spot, although ultimately finishing third on tiebreakers. That said the talisman of being so competitive, Alex Guggenheim, has joined the recent wave of Taeshani’s heading to the other cold place in Rushmore, the Polar Islandstates. Without him the Marauders are still a rather talented side, but with a new man making the calls things will definitely have a decline in the upcoming season.

B teams, each team in a division will play all of their division-mates twice for a total of twenty-two games. Who will win in battles of stars international and abroad in the newly-founded league? With the four spots in the Series B Champion's Cup going to the LSL Div. B via a six-team playoff, and a four-team playoff in Div. Darmen City FC and the Rogerton Whitecaps both looked to reverse their fortunes and climb back into the Premier League by signing two players from Super-Llamaland. Their strategies were totally opposite however, as Darmen City signed a Defender and Rogerton added a striker. Meanwhile, Padomera added a midfielder in Chris May, who fetched the highest known transfer for any player this cycle. While Scott City FC Manager Tony Montgomery has maintained that he still likes 18 year old Gary Palomo's chances to become a great goalkeeper, the club signed Patrick Superanaskaia to take the number one slot at the goalkeeper position, hopeful that the change would lead to greater success, especially in the League. To make room for Superanaskaia, the club sent their Reserve team's reserve Goalkeeper, Mikey Vince Fulton, to Eau Claire United's reserve team, while demoting former senior reserve Goalkeeper, Filippu Vogt, to the reserves side. Got all of that now? Do I need to go back over it?

Well too bad, because I'd like to move on to the League Cup, which hopefully proves to be one of the most competitive in history.

Most of the big names make it through to the Round of Sixteen, where they're joined by two clubs that will be making their debut in the Premier League in two cycles time. Club de Nazionale gave Augusta a run for their money, but ultimately fell short. Lynx FC were absolutely dominated by Memnomonie, and with those two results, the Quarterfinals would be made an exclusive party for some select Premier League clubs.

The biggest upset of the whole Cup came in the quarterfinals, as Eau Claire Aris FC reclaimed a bit of the swagger they used to have by defeating Scott City FC, 2-1. By the time the Semifinals rolled around though, the newly established Big Three (Augusta, Menomonie United and Scott City FC), with the obvious absence of Scott City, put another brick in the wall separating them from the other clubs. In the end, Menomonie United would walk away with the League Cup, leaving Scott City FC as the only member of the Big Three to have not won any hardware this season.

Now we move on to the postseason championships of the Conferences and Amateur Leagues. Lets take a look.

So IFK Liverpool looks to be a very strong club as its heads into the Conference National competition, and a second straight promotion into League Two could definitely be in store. Speaking of another club that could be promoted again just a single season after being promoted, Sportklub Palerma, the team that used to call the football system of Carmadin home, they one the Amateur League-Level One Championship by beating two supposedly superior teams away from home. And as you'll see in a moment, they won another piece of hardware (this time playing their only game at home) that means an extra bit of cash from prize money to help draw in some better talent. In Levels Two and Three, Scott City Welfare and a collegiate team in Itolach Tech, took the titles. Scott City FC's Youth squad was unable to overcome collegiate Urbania University, a fellow resident of the Federal District, to even advance into the Semifinals of the Level Three championship.

And now the Amateur League Super Cup, where we expect, and get, Level One domination.

Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League

The Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League (GSL) was founded in 2014. There are currently 8 teams participating in the GSL, though it may be expanded. The GSL does not follow the normal transfer rules due to oppressive policies about entering and leaving the country. Transfer is only possible within the GSL, not to foreign countries, and no foreigners can compete in the GSL. Teams play a double round-robin schedule, 14 games, home-and-home. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top 2 teams play a championship match at Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium. The winner is champion, and the loser is second place. The Champion advances to the Champions Cup, while the runner-up and third place teams go to the Globe Cup. A single elimination national cup will also be held to determine a Globe Cup spot. The winner will advance to the Globe Cup, if it hasn't already. If it has, or if it has advanced to the Champions Cup, the runner-up will advance to the Globe Cup. If both the champion and runner-up have already advanced to one of the two tournaments, the fourth place team in the league will go to the Globe Cup.

The Gregoryisgodistan FA also includes the Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone, even though that is also eligible to send its own national team to World Cup (it never has.) This is because the Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone is a Gregoryisgodistani territory and is too small for its own domestic league. Furthermore, all residents of the GSAZ are Gregoryisgodistani citizens and eligible to compete for the national team. (OOC: the GSAZ is known on NS as "Gregoryisgodistan Special Admin Zone" due to character limits.)

Teams:

FC 17 June: Named for Lord Almighty Gregory's birthday, this team plays its home games in the Capital District at 617 Stadium in District 7, Ward 10, which seats 35,000. It is the best team in the league on paper, containing numerous national team stars. Their primary kit is red with gold numbering and red shorts, and their secondary kit is the inverse - gold with red numbering and gold shorts.

November 5 SC: Named after the day in which Lord Almighty Gregory supposedly created the multiverse in the year 0000, this team is also one of the top clubs. Most of the national team starters who don't play for FC 17 June play for November 5 SC, as do a few backups. They play in District 3, Ward 10, at Creation Stadium, which seats 27,500. Their primary kit is blue with gold numbers and blue shorts and their secondary kit is white with blue numbers and white shorts.

Loyal Friends: A team consisting of loyal friends of Lord Almighty Gregory. They were chosen for this team for their loyalty to Lord Almighty Gregory, not their soccer skill. They play at Friends Field in the Capital District, Ward 4, which seats 4,500 fans. It is open only to government VIP's, as is all of CDW4. Their primary kit is orange with black numbers and orange shorts and the secondary kit is the inverse.

Coastal Soccer Club: Coastal Soccer Club plays on the southern coast of Gregoryisgodistan in District 30, Ward 3 at Coastal Stadium, which seats 11,420 fans. It consists mainly of recreational soccer players though there are a few good ones. Its primary kit is cyan with gold numbers and cyan shorts and the secondary is the inverse.

GSAZ FC: GSAZ FC plays in the Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone, a territory of Gregoryisgodistan. It consists of loyal friends of Lord Almighty Gregory and other Government VIPs who live in the GSAZ. The GSAZ is a small territory of Gregoryisgodistan with different rules. First, it is a WA member to give Gregoryigodistan a vote on the WA, so is subject to all WA resolutions (unlike Gregoryisgodistan proper.) Second, it is a place for government VIPs to live without worrying about supplmentary Gregoryisgodistani laws like not saying "coconut." They don't have to follow those anywhere, but this makes them less subject to scrutiny. As mentioned above, all of them are citizens of Gregoryisgodistan as well and eligible to compete for the senior team, though none currently do. They play at GSAZ stadium, which seats 1,500. Their primary kit is white with red numbers and white short and their secondary kit is black with red numbers and black shorts.

Island Soccer: This team plays its home games on Gregland Lake Island in Section 21, Ward 11. It is located in the lake between Gregoryisgodistan and San Jose Guayabal, obviously in Gregoryisgodistani territory. There is still an international question as to what to name the lake, but the island has been named. It is only accessible by ferry, so players will have to take one from Section 21, Ward 10. Its primary kit is navy with white numbers and blue shorts and its alternate kit is lime green with blue numbers and lime green shorts. The team consists of mostly locals as it is so ridiculously inaccessible that nobody wants to play for them.

Prune Farmers FC: A team founded by the Prune Farmers of Gregoryisgodistan for their members to participate in. All players are prune farmers. Their only notable player is national team starting goalkeeper Prune Farmer 3818F. The team is trying to recruit Prune Farmer 91388 but he currently plays for FC 17 June. Their primary kit is purple with white numbers and purple shorts and the secondary kit is the inverse. They play at Prune Rec Field in District 2, Ward 2 which seats 1,300.

Slaves FC: A team of slaves since there aren't enough soccer players to fill 8 teams. If they win the league title, they will be liberated. They won't most likely as they are bad. Their primary kit is brown with yellow numbers and brown shorts and the secondary kit is the inverse. This was deemed the ugliest kit possible, perfect to humiliate slaves. They play at Slavery Field in District 19, Ward 13. It seats 300, all of which will be slavemasters making sure the slaves don't escape.

KERFA FOOTBALL LEAGUE - YEAR 2


Season number 2 is up.

Guingamp win their second title on the trot, dominating the season from start to finish. Teams in UICA competitions had better keep an eye out for the Guingampais who are looking quite a side. Rennes du Nord impressed on their first season in the top flight finishing second, Mont Kate AFC also progressed to finish third while also claiming the National Cup. Rennes were the only team other than Guingamp to qualify for a UICA tournament two years in a row. There was massive disappointment for Louargat who finished bottom of the league despite being on of the favorites to take the title just a season ago. Major changes are expected there. AFC Kernansquillec were also relegated much to the delight of local rivals Kernansquillec City.

In the Second Division St Marie took the title to secure an immediate return to the top division after relegation last season. Mur-de-Kernansquillec reached the Promotion Playoff for the second time in a row, this time by just a single point ahead of Etables-sur-Mer. After the heartbreak of losing out to Belle-Isle-En-Mer last season it was their turn to be the heart-breakers as they grabbed the winning goal in extra time against Haut-Corlay. A special mention must go to Plounevez-Moëdec who defended their cuillère en bois by finishing bottom of the Second Division for a second time.

The St Libherr Division was the scene of a major upset as Rennes du Nord U19 claimed the title despite finishing bottom of Group A last season, beating Louargat CDF 2-0 in the Final of the SBCC Playoffs. Louargat CDF have now reached and lost the first two editions of the St Libherr Division Final. Rennes du Nord U19 weren't the only other side to come from the bottom to the playoffs: Mont Kate Youth Academy rose from last place in Group B last season to reach the semi-finals of the Playoffs. The St Markus Youth Academy, despite their title from last year, struggled to a disappointing 5th place finish in Group A. Group B teams have now secured the first two titles of the St Libherr Division.
