Tchoukball tournament interest thread

Postby Nova Pruthenia » Sat Jul 26, 2014 3:24 pm

Hi!
Recently I came across this sport:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tchoukball
I started to look for some materials about the rules and according to my opinion, this one is okay, as it explains the basics and is a short one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7SFVgHWhU8
And if you would like to see how the game looks like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT64q4W ... DBECD8AEB6

Idk maybe it's worth trying... I could host the first tournament - I would make a xkoranate file and the tournament would start after the Olympic Games.

I've checked the Tchoukball Federation site - weak male teams score about 30-35 per game, the best like Taiwan 70, but most teams score about 40-45 ppg. It wouldn't be complicated at all, I'd just modify the handball file.
A team gains 1 point if it loses, 2 for a draw and 3 for a win. That's simple too.

I am interested in a tchoukball tournament.

It is probably the most underrated sport, IMO.

I am interested in such a tournament as well. Tchoukball seems like a nice sport, even though I find it weird that you can't steal the ball from the opposing team.

I have heard of this, but never quite understood it. Now I kind of do, so I'm interested!

There is WC now and the Olympic Games come soon - so tchoukball tournament wouldn't get too much attention right now I suppose. I think it would be better to wait until these events end.
