I agree with what's already been said. As I shared in one of my brief RPs the other day, I've had some RL business to attend to myself that I really hope will lead to a better personal RL situation (I will not be sharing details online).

K-P, I totally support taking a break. We're all human, we all set extremely high standards for ourselves that, even if others feel we're doing an excellent job, doesn't feel right inside (I would know, I've been there before). IMO, if need be take a few days and return with a tentative schedule with more hours between MDs.

As far as the RP fighting/war-starting, TBH if someone wanted to start a war with me during this (or anything else for that matter) my entire response would be "No," with ignore cannons if necessary. It's totally unnecessary and rather inappropriate, at least AFAIC.

I also look at it this way: let's say an RL country with nuclear weapons bombs another country with no missile defense systems and little to no domestic military 'because it can.' At the very least it'd start a World War where nearly everyone would declare war on the aggressor (and not just fighting; probably trade and internet/communications totally cut, borders closed, foreign assets frozen/seized, its' nationals abroad kicked out of whatever country they're in or jailed, etc.) and we'd probably end up in a zero-sum game where the planet is rendered uninhabitable by humans. Not a pretty picture.

I agree for the most part, but the situation you described is not a zero-sum game. In fact, it's the exact opposite of a zero-sum game.

Kytler, I just want you to know that I think you're doing a fantastic job. Taking a break is perfectly okay, and with this fantastic community, it is no doubt that the participants of this event will be understanding, co-operative, and thankful for the hosting you've done so far. Personally, breaks would help my RPing. Obviously, as I am all too aware, having some minor issues of my own, your mental health comes before anything else, whether it be on this website or in real life. Mental health is literally the definition of a number one priority. Do what you need to do, and know that I, as well as the NS Sport community, are grateful and supportive. My only complaint is my dismal medal count. Stay rockin Kytler.

Day 7 will be split between two scorination sessions, on 29 August and 30 August. The 29 August cutoff will be at the regular time of 1759 UTC (1859 BST, 1359 ET); the 30 August cutoff is subject to confirmation. Day 8 will be scorinated in its entirety on Sunday. There will then be "half-speed" scorination for the remainder of the Games (Days 9-23), with the potential for "off days" as and when required.

This will probably lead to the Games being completed approximately at the end of September, but I am deliberately not quoting an exact date.

I will probably post a short RP Saturday morning/early afternoon from the hotel and then hopefully again Sunday night after I get back home. But nothing like what I've been doing before. Yes, that kind of roleplaying is encouraged! The only thing to be aware of is your opponents' RP permissions (most people list them in their rosters) when it comes to details about your opponents - but no one is going to object to you choosing your own goalscorers.

Yes, that kind of roleplaying is encouraged! The only thing to be aware of is your opponents' RP permissions (most people list them in their rosters) when it comes to details about your opponents - but no one is going to object to you choosing your own goalscorers.

One important thing to add to that is that you should not contradict an opponent's earlier RP.

A quick way to look and see if an opponent has RP'd before you is to use the sort function at the bottom of a page of posts, and set it to author. That will arrange all posts by alphabetical order, and you can easily find all your opponent's posts.
