Aeroquebec Flight 69, 408km from El Roblar
Without the use of flaps and slats, they were unable to slow down for landing, and faced with no option, but to attempt landing at a very high airspeed. This was an extremely dangerous approach, considering the low chances of success when doing so.
Aerolineas Sangti Flight 811 was a very good example of this, due to the similar circumstances in which was involved. The Boeing 747-200, which was carrying 322 passengers and 20 flight crew members on the way to Montreal, experienced a sudden loss of hydraulics as well. Having to land at the Halifax Int'l Airport(HFX), 1,250km away from the destination, the aircraft burst into flames and broke into pieces, just as it landed. 65 passengers and 6 crew members were killed in the resulting crash and smoke inhalation, the low number of fatalities being due to the crash landing being done, halfway into the aircraft. Now, without any place nearby to get the rescuers from, it didn't look that good for the chance of survival for all those on board.
Still, the pilots did the best, as the plane managed to land by the mountain side. During the final descent the aircraft hit several trees, losing a most of the left wing, as well as engine #1. Then, with the thump, it landed at an extremely high rate of descent, thanks to the inability to flare and use landing gear while landing. The tail section broke off from the force of the impact, and the rest of the aircraft bounced several times, shedding the landing gear and engines, before breaking the fuselage into several main pieces. The aircraft, now broke off into several main pieces, as well as cargo hold already well on fire, burst into flames. None of the engines were still functioning, fortunately.
Then, the pieces slid down sideways, tumbling several times, before finally stopping their movement. Aeroquebec Flight 69 has officially crashed. The planes was now in hot, spreading flames, all over the site.

Around same time, El Roblar ATC
At the same time, the air traffic controllers at El Roblar airport were looking at the radar, as the plane's altitude went down. Then, along with the sound of explosion and metals clashing, a point disappeared from radar, with the information regarding its altitude. Aeroquebec Flight 69, right into the worst those Air Traffic Controllers have imagined, crashed into the Monte Marla.
“Ay no, por la gran mierda.” Rasmus Hartikainen, the chief Air Traffic Controller of the ATC, swore in Spanish, as he looked into the mountains to the direction the Airbus A340-600 crashed.
It’s certainly going to be a long day, he thought to himself, feeling as sad as he could be while hearing the sirens from the Emergency Station located right next to the ATC tower. He very well knew that with one of his controllers being informed of the last spot the plane was seen on radar, they just had to get themselves, as soon as possible. It's the race, with the lives of over 300 passenger on board, against time.

San Salvador International Airport
Since the plane was well within Guayabalnese territory, as well as notifying the ATC of what exactly happened on the aircraft and not to mention the notification from the fellow flight of Spiritair 27, the news quickly got spread to major media outlets of the San Jose Guayabal. In turn, the media outlets all over the Multiverse, as well as the Governments involved in this tragedy(Quebecois, Guayabalnese and Royal Barangayan Governments) were informed instantly, shortly after.
As soon as the both Quebecois, Barangayan and Guayabalnese Governments was informed of the bombing, the airport's director was contacted by the government to cancel all flights that arrive in the San Salvador Airport. For all arriving flights, they are told to land them at nearby airports as soon as possible, which includes military bases in the area.
It was an extremely busy day, especially because it’s the holiday season for large part of Esportiva, as well as large number of overseas workers coming home for the summer. 1,200 flights already took off, with more to do so in next 8 hours of so. This, soon, had to be halted, in order to identify if there’s any additional bomb that might be implanted on another plane either departing from or coming to San Salvador, which could result in a huge catastrophe.
At Gate 19 of Terminal 1, which was solely flown by Aeroquebec, Aerolineas Sangti and its good friend Communist Airlines of SJG, 202 passengers were waiting to board the Aeroquebec flight heading towards Lupinia when they saw the screens on TVs change:

2 days later, Nyhavn International Airport
It was an extremely busy day for Nyhavn Kastrup International Airport, Norrehavn. With thousands of flights departing in and out of the nation, especially with Norrehavnese Airlines and Aeroquebec’s widebodies used for transcontinental operations, the airport was as heavily occupied as ever. Nyhavn Airport, whose maximum capacity of 48 million people and other creatures per year have already reached, was on its first phase of expansion, which involved building a new runway, as well as a brand new terminal 3, to accommodate the increasing number of flights flown by low cost carriers in Southern Rushmore. While this certainly, on the long run, would be essential for its success down the road, it also resulted in the closure of the 3,500 meter runway 26 (Nyhavn has 3 runways). Extremely small length and inability to expand the runway 16, which was being used for domestic and short-haul operations, have also forced the 3,750 meter runway 41 to be extremely congested.
As the result of this and the rainstorm affecting the city for last 3 days, large number of services were affected when it comes to their departure and arrival time. This unfortunately have caused many passengers to miss their connecting flight, especially that of Norrehavnese Airlines and Aeroquebec(both have their co-hubs in the airport). Norrehavnese Airlines flight 932 was of different case however, as the scheduled flight to Higuera, Felix, got delayed even further. 208 passengers, large number of them connecting passengers from elsewhere in Rushmore, were already waiting for 2 extra hours in front of their gate. Many thought that this was because of potential discovery of the bomb, something that has gotten many passengers to be extremely sensitive about, following the tragedy of Aeroquebec Flight 69 two days earlier. It was a ridiculous but realistic guess, indeed.
Finally, at 21:34 NST(Norrehavnese Standard Time), the aircraft was cleared for passengers to enter. The Airbus A330-300, which was configured on the 264-seat, three-class format (34 seats for business, 35 for premium economy and 195 for economy class), was finally allowed to leave the ground.

75 minutes later, 175km from Nyhavn
There was no one other than Admiral Pavel Sidlik who was more excited about the news. Sidlik, who’s officially assigned by the Quebecois Commonwealth and the head of organization His Imperial Majesty the Jacques IX of Quebec, was on his way to officially declare the Phase 1 of the Mission Valkyrie of the Commonwealth Forces. This, following the Aeroquebec 69 bombing that marked the official first shot of the war, was expected to be an important part and he wanted to start the training process of the Kaji and Free Felixian Forces once he reached the Felixian Soil. This, however, have led him to feel extremely frustrated and stressed out over the 3-hour delay.
Now, 35 minutes past takeoff and in assigned seat of 2C, a full-fit business class with amenities evoking the creativity of his countrymen, he laid himself on a comfortable, 145 degrees recline. He then opened his bag, picked up the letter and closed the former. Knowing that the business class was mostly occupied by other major military figures of the forces, including a Tufanese prince and 3 members of the Norrish nobility, he slowly opened and read the letter:
To: Admiral Pavel Sidlik, Commander, United Dominion Forces of Quebecois Commonwealth, Norrehavnese Army
From: General Gilbert Förstner, Commander, Free Felixian Army
Degree of Importance: Confidential
Dear Pavel,
Hello, Pavel. As you have already heard, we’re retreating from Indos and the areas several hundred kilometres west of it. Kaji Resistance and our forces are taking heavy casualties as we are trying to retreat all the way to Higuera, where your forces are already settled in, with maximum degree of safety and protection guaranteed to our Kaji refugees and fellow Felixians.
With this, we need you to come here and train the Kaji and Free Felixian Forces with expert military experience, while providing refuge for them. I know that each one of yours soldiers have way more experience and skills to kill those Nationalists than the most experienced of ours do. It’ll help, and once the Winter’s over we’ll fight them back and win.
Lastly, we need to talk about counterattack strategies, in order to exhaust them out while in Winter, before driving them back to oblivion. In order to do so the delicacy of the strategic positions and other situations associated with the numbers, terrain, and of course the weather, is required. It is the best time to talk over this, now that we have enough information about their forces and enough support for the Free Felixians and Kajis.
Please come as soon as possible, for it's the best to start early and finish early.
Sincerely,
General Gilbert Förstner
