The Ellorean Champions Tournament. The crown jewel of of the Federation of Ellorean Football and an ambition that all teams of the continent strive for. Although still growing in recognition on the international stage, the Ellorean Champions Tournament has expanded itself and allowed for the accommodation of nations associated with the continent and its football operations. Seven of the sixteen teams are guests from other regions, which range from Greater Dienstad, to Esquarium, Gholgoth. The United States of Minnysota won the bid to host the 2014 tournament and have established an agency and fund to oversee the establishment of appropriate infrastructure for foreign teams and their fans. Format
In previous years, the Ellorean Champions Tournament began with a group stage consisting of three groups of three. The winners of each league were guaranteed a position in the Round of Eight, then focus shifted to the record, goal differential, and goals scored in order of respective importance. However, this being the first year that the Ellorean Champions Tournament has consisted of sixteen teams, the tournament will begin with four groups of four. The top two teams of each group will advance into a Group of Eight, where the tournament will proceed into the knockout stage until the top four teams have been determined. Each group will have its own designated stadium to play in, with two games of a given group being played in a day. Four stadiums will be used for the group of eight, two for the semifinal, and one for the final for a total of eleven stadiums.
Scorinating
I will scorinate this tournament with the latest version of NSFS. The skill number will be between 1 and 7. 1 determines a decidedly bad team, while 7 is that of a good team. The style is a number between -5 and 5, the closer to -5, the more defensive your team will be; the closer to 5, the more offensive your team will be with the "balanced" style number being 0. s per the usual with NS Sports, ranking points (0.1 - 0.6) will be assigned as a grade based on the quality of the post. My host nation bonus will be 0.1, but my overall bonus will be added on after analysis by a third party (or a member of the tournament objective enough to analyze it). After every match session, I'll post the current standings and rankings.
