The Scottopian Isles Football Association sits on the International Football Association Board which is responsible for the laws of the game. The SIFA is also a member of the Federation of Astyrian Football Associations (FAFA). Its headquarters are based at the Scottopian National Staduim in Scottopia City, Alba, Capitola. In addition to the grounds, a Training Facility and the Scottopian Isles Football Museum are also located there.
The Scottopian Isles Football Association is also responsible for the operation of the Annual Scottopian, CommonWealth and InterCouncil Cups and several other duties important to the functioning of the game such as the Mens and Womans National teams at the World Class, Under-21, Under-19 and Under-17 levels. The Scottopian Isles Football Association complys of 32 professional club teams in 3 league teirs. All leagues apply to all rules set down by the Federation of Astyria Football Assocations. All league games are played on a point system; 3 Points for a Win, 1 Point for a Draw, 0 Points for a Loss. Placements are decieded upon points. If teams are tied on points, they shall go to Goal Differnce. If the 2 teams in question happen to have the same Goal Differnce, it will be decieded upon Goals Scored. In the unlikely event they are still tied, the record between the teams will be the dertiminig factor.
The Scottopian Isles Premier League, also known as the Premiership, is a professional league competition for association football clubs in the Royal CommonWealth. Featuring 12 teams, it is the top level of the Scottopian Isles Football Association system, above the Scottopian Isles Football Leagues First and Second Divisions. Each team will play each other two times, once Home and once Away, for a total of 22 Games in a season for a total of 66 avalible points.
The Scottopian Isles Football League First Division is the secondary teir of football in the Royal CommonWealth. The Football League has 10 teams who also play each other two times a season, once Home and once Away for a total of 18 Games each and a total of 54 Points. The third teir, The Scottopian Isles Football Leauge Second Division also has 10 teams, who play once Home and once Away for 18 Games and a total of 54 points avaliable.
At the end of the season, the Scottopian Isles Premier League and the Football Leagues First and Second Divisions intergrate with a Promotion/Relegation system. The 1st & 2nd Place teams of the Football Leagues First Division will be Promoted to the SIPL and the 11th & 12th Place teams in the Premier League will be relegated to the SIFL First Division. The 10th Place Premiership team will enter a play-off game versus the 3rd Place First Division team where the winner will play in the Premiership next season. Just as the Premier Leauge intergrates with the First Division, as does the Second Division. The 1st and 2nd Place teams of the Second Division will be promoted to the First Division, with their 9th and 10th Place teams being relegated to the Second Division. The First Divisions 8th place team will also enter a playoff game with the Second Divisions 3rd Place where the winner will play in the First Division. This Promotion/Relegation System ensures fresh compitition for the upcoming season.
