Estope, why should we pick you if you have hardly hosted anything, and have not been active recently on the RP scene And I should know... you battered me in the WC

Well everyone has to start somewhere right? I know this is a major tournament and if I host it, it will be treated as such. I have participated in enough events to know what is expected of a host. I would not bid to host something that I didn't think I would be fully capable of running. As for me not being very active, March was just a very busy month for me and I just didn't have the time to do much RPing. Now that everything has settled down, I have the time to be an active member again. Typically I do try to post at least a few RPs for most major events that I know how the sport functions, albeit they might not all be of the best quality.

My one question is, is the World Bowl the proper tournament to "start somewhere"?

I see no issues with the bid itself, though I don't think I have a vote regardless after my lofty string of appearances.

I do understand the concern of having a inexperienced host since the World Bowl is a major tournament. But, having been a fairly consistent part of NS Sports for over a year and a half now I hope that I have garnered enough respect to entrust me with such a duty of hosting the World Bowl. I don't think that just because a user hasn't hosted before disqualifies them from hosting a prestigious tournament. But really it is up to the voters to decide whether or not they have enough faith in me to run a quality tournament.

Do remember that I [Karditan] hosted a World Bowl after only hosting the International Chess Championship III, which was hardly a major tournament (only went two pages, iirc). Estope certainly seems like he deserves a chance.

Also remember that we have a discussion thread for discussion. Because the signup thread is, you know, for signups.

Edit: And Hutt River doesn't count towards the BoI count as he's previously competed as Ipeland (and beat me in our BoI final D:<)

What scorinator do you intend to use for the BoI (if xkoranate, which formula?)? I can't find any reference to that in your bid at the moment.

I'm surprised that nobody caught that yet.
