ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Squanders FC is by far the winningest program in Tibbiville Premier League history. Having won 32 out of 45 league championships, this squad has dominated in almost every aspect over the 45 years of the league's exsistance. It hasn't slowed down as of late either. Squanders FC have won 8 out of the last 10 league championships. Always fun to watch and high scoring, this team always, even in those 13 years where they didn't win the championship, finishes top 3. There has only been one season in which Squanders FC hasn't finished in the top three, and they finished 4th. So, as you can see, the Squanders have a legacy of not just winning, but dominating. They hope to do that in the NSPL as well.

About Jujoo

Very little is known about the land of Jujoo other than it is a miniscule island nation in the region of Srsp. Covered in the most part by dense inhospitable jungle and/or swamp and inhabited mostly by zombies, a myriad of golems and several unholy combinations of the two. How this came to pass is unclear given the secretive nature of the country's leader and government. It is believed that a small cult of black magic worshipers fled the nearby country of Ark to create their own society of undead creatures but this can be neither confirmed nor disproved. The country maintains strong ties with Ark though neither nation would admit this.

Being in the towns of Jujoo, the first thing you may notice is people staring at you. Do not be afraid as it is merely because they are unaccustomed to people with such alive looking skin. As the ruling committee of the island are living humans (so we believe), you should find the Jujooans very accommodating and eager to please. There is exceedingly little to do recreationally in any of the town. One may wish to sample some local cuisine, 'Rat on fire' being a popular delicacy (basically a flame-grilled rat, called so because they cook it on a fire rather than eat it raw). For the braver tourist, there is an underground gambling scene where you can bet on anything from cockroach racing to competitive eating.

The currency used in Jujoo is defined as the 'shiny bead' though you can pass off any shiny object as money. A shrewd traveller could survive quite well on a roll of tinfoil.

Image
Map of Jujoo
Regarding language, speak slowly and use a lot of gestures and you will be understood just fine. The Jujooan language is a complicated series of grunts and near impossible to learn (94% of Jujooans are technically illiterate). For example, 'Yes' is 'Uh' and 'No' is 'Urh'.

Getting to Jujoo
The only realistic way a team can reach Jujoo is via Ark who possess a small, yet fully functioning airport. From there be sure to let the staff know that you are bound for Jujoo and therefore not required to have to pass through the rigorous Arkan passport control. From there you will be directed to Auxiliary Port North West Two. From here you will be able to get a ferry to Jujoo.

There is a regular ferry service to the town of Sespool, though occasionally there are ferries to Grot on the northern coast of Jujoo. From both towns there is a road to the capital; Swamp Complex where the football ground is based. Teams are encouraged not to bring large coaches as the roads of Jujoo (all two of them) are not suitable for large vehicles. A convoy of minibuses would be a much more sensible idea. For travelling fans, there are plenty of rickshaw-style taxis to convey you from either Grot or Sespool to the capital and back.

Football in Jujoo

The Jujooan National Team is a new venture for the nation and was started with funds received through the Paradystopi Commonwealth Commission for the benefit and promotion of sport on the island. Football was the obvious choice, being helpfully similar to a local sport; Head kicking. Head Kicking works a little like 7 a-side football, only with a decapitated head instead of a ball and a smaller goal without a goalkeeper. Having upgraded to standard 11 a-side football, the team realised they needed an opponent. Given their tiny size and not wishing to embarrass themselves on an international level, the team was registered as a club team. After being refused entry to the Arkan league (who did not wish to lose their 'Multiverse's Smallest League' moniker), they were also refused entry to the FLOPC for violating some fictional regulations. After this, they applied for entry to the NSPL and were accepted. So begins their foray into competitive football.

About the Players

As mentioned before, there are three major types of Jujooan player. These are the zombie, the golem and the lutumimmortui.

Zombies
Zombies make up the majority of Jujoo and in most cases are simply humanoid in various states of decay. They're not particularly intelligent, not as fast as the average human and smell pretty bad. They are, however, strong and don't injure easily. To clarify, they don't react to injury. You needn't worry about them wishing to eat your players or infecting them. They are merely reanimated corpses and act on the whole in a humanistic way. Should one of them bite one of your team, there is no zombie virus per se to transmit so the worst you'll receive is a few nasty teeth marks which could lead to gangrene or a host of other nasty infections but no zombieism.

Golems
Golems are large animated constructs of either clay or rock. Physically imposing and humanoid in shape, they are intelligent and quicker than you'd imagine (especially the clay ones). They will follow orders unquestioningly and form the skilled core of the squad. Completely immune to injury (unless you have a sledgehammer or such in the case of a rock golem or water cannon in the case of a clay one) and devilishly strong.

Lutumimmortui
Lutumimmortuis are a combination of golems and zombies. They exist in the form of a zombie 'trapped' in a golems body and thus have the mentality of a zombie with the physical attributes of a golem. Sometimes a particularly clever zombie will replace decayed parts of their own body with enchanted materials to achieve this state. Lutumimmortuis are rare but comprise the most technically capable footballers.

Roster

So as not to confuse some of the zombie members of the team, the squad are simply numbered in roster order. None of the outfield players have designated positions beyond defender, midfielder and forward and even these are attributed loosely. Even the goalkeepers have a tendency to push forward ...

Image
Usual starting positions
Tactics
Jujooan tactics are simple. 'Ball go to opponent's goal' and that's about as in-depth as they go. Everyone will push forward with blatant disregard for positioning. Passing is not so common and neither are long range shots. One player will dribble up the field as far as they can, maybe passing it they see themselves coming up against a wall of opposing players. Upon being dispossessed they will continue to attack the ball until they regain possession and repeat the process. Given half a chance they will mindlessly dribble the ball into the net without even attempting to shoot or shoot from around the 6 yard box. Defensively, their strategy is 'get ball'. Just 'get ball.'

Quick Reference List
Most Likely to Score: Any outfield player
Most Likely to be Carded: Any outfield player
Most Likely to ... I think you get the picture

RP Permissions etc.

Style Modifier = +5

RP-wise, feel free to go absolutely crazy. I only ask for two things.
1.) Please give me fair warning should you wish to kill players. Be aware, however, that as my players are basically already dead, I reserve the right to re-animate them should I see fit. Obviously, this depends on the manner of their 'death' but that's a discussion that can occur via TG should it come to it because I'm obviously going to want to see some IC reason as to why you feel the need to totally obliterate any of my players. I'm open to crazy suggestions as they are zombies after all and some nations may find hosting them for my away games slightly intimidating.
2.) Read the whole post for a better IC understanding of the team. They are not your average football team and do not play as such.

As this is a mere puppet account, please TG me at Paradystopia for quicker responses to any queries.

Regarding any potential transfers, I'm happy to sell players to other teams should it come to that. Buying players will be a little different, as this is the Jujooan national team acting as a club team any player I buy is required to become a Jujooan national. This will involve a ritual sacrifice then re-animation as a zombie. So yeah, I'm not going to bid for anyone's young upcoming players but should you have any older players on the verge of retirement ... well, the option's there. It's just a funny idea I had should I wish to use this team in a national context whereby I can essentially have a weird international team of zombie all-stars and maybe open the account up to multi-user RPing in the future. But it's just an idea currently.

"...and welcome back to Vokroga, the best damn sports show Lzherusskia has to offer. I'm Dmitry Antipin and before the break, we were talking about the crazy events of the last day in the LMV. Needing a three-goal win over one of the most dominant teams we've seen for decades to claim the championship, Vojna Vilnera rode a virtuoso performance from Ilja Pronin, without a doubt the best surprise to come out of this season, to a crazy 4-1 win over the mighty Poszar Savoprinov and to a well-deserved title. But as fantastic a game as Pronin had, the whole thing would have been for naught but for my next guest. Please welcome Harry Leveson-Gower!"

[Applause. The Vilnera goalkeeper, six-foot-four and two hundred pounds, takes a seat at the desk next to Antipin, shaking the hands of everyone already seated. Freshly shaven and smartly suited, he looks every inch the professional - a far cry from his arrival in the LMV three years ago.]

"Harry, welcome to the show."

"It's a pleasure to be here, Dmitry. I've been watching you ever since I came to this country, and it's great to finally be here."

"I do always like to meet my fans. And if I may, let me join the chorus of people and officially congratulate you on the championship win and one hell of a season."

[Applause again. Leveson-Gower can't completely hide his embarrassment, but takes it well nonetheless, raising a hand in salute to the audience in attendance.]

"And now I've embarrassed you."

"I'll live, don't worry."

"So we've already gone over what must have been a torturous ninety minutes for you and the rest of the team, what I wanted to do now was look forward. We've all seen that the All-Star Teams have been picked for the year, but apparently there's more to it. Can you fill us in?"

"Well, yeah, it's obviously a huge honour to be chosen as an All-Star and on top of that, I'm going to be part of the team the LMV is sending to the NS Premier League this season. Smyslova Virmest is more or less the best of the best that Lzher football's got to offer, and I am incredibly excited to be a part of it."

"So it's effectively the LMV All-Stars taking on the rest of the world?"

"That's about right, Dmitry, yeah. Obviously, I'm loving my time with Vilnera, we've got such a tight-knit squad and I'd trust some of those guys with my life, but I think this is the sort of chance that every football player secretly dreams of."

"I can imagine. You get to play with Milan Vodopyanov and not be the one he's trying to score past!"

[Laughter. Leveson-Gower smiles and nods.]

"That's it, yeah. Milan is such a dangerous striker and it's going to be a genuine pleasure watching him work."

"Now, there's been some controversy over the choice of coaches, hasn't there?"

[Leveson-Gower pauses. He's obviously trying to come up with a diplomatic answer.]

"I think more was made of that than there actually was. I know a lot of people think that, y'know, Vilnera won so Vilnera should coach the team, but Lumir Gabashviliev did win four titles in four years with Savoprinov. He's obviously an extremely talented guy and I'm looking forward to training under him."

"Looking at the squad as it stands, it looks like quite a well-represented spread of teams. Only three out of fourteen sides don't have a representative and it's not as top-heavy as some people were worried about. There's yourself and...is it four others from Vilnera?"

"Only three. Besides me and Ilja, there's also Janos Cherchesov and Stanislaus Pogrebnyak, and I'm really happy for Stan in particular. He's a seriously underrated player and I'm really glad that he's starting to get some of the praise he's due."

"Obviously, you're going to be excited about playing with everybody, but is there anyone in particular you're looking forward to working with?"

[Another pause. Another diplomatic answer is evidently forthcoming.]

"I...really want to play behind Konrad Kishishev at least once because...for somebody his age to be playing at as high a level as Konrad is very impressive, and he reads the game better than almost anybody. If it is true that he's considering retirement after the NSPL season is finished, then I think the game will certainly be poorer for his loss."

[Scattered applause, which grows into a full ovation. Kishishev is one of the nation's most beloved sportsmen, after all.]

"I think we can all drink to that. Anybody else?"

"Definitely Kristian Petrov. With all due respect to Igor Vasilevski, Kristian is the future of Lzher goalkeeping. His reflexes and his agility are second to none and it's always interesting to talk to other people playing your position. It's like a...like some sort of peer review, almost, you learn tips and tricks from one another."

"And then you part ways and use those tips and tricks to beat one another in league play."

"Of course, of course."

"One more question from me and then we'll open it to the floor. Frantisek Smerdyakov was a runaway winner in the voting for league MVP this year despite his disciplinary record, and it was obvious he was going to be part of this Smyslova team, but is his temperament going to be an issue?"

"Personally, I don't think so. I think the useful thing about having a team that's so age-diverse is that guys like Konrad Kishishev, Juraj Savrasenko, Tanjung Nasution and even myself, to some degree, have all got a lot of experience and know how to lead a locker room. I think Frantisek's got a reputation as a bit of a prima donna and a hothead, but I don't think it's a justified one. He's just a guy who really hates to lose - that's a very valuable quality to have and, hopefully, having older and cooler heads around him will help him really harness that."

"Beautifully put, Harry. Now, if you'd like to field some questions from the floor?"

"Sure. OK, the guy in the red sweater..."

Most likely to score: Practically all of Smyslova's offense is expected to run through the two strikers, so it's expected that my forwards will be getting the lion's share of any goals we score.
Most likely to get sent off: Of the starting eleven, Frantisek Smerdyakov appears to love going in the book for all number of crimes and is still young enough not to know when to shut up. Laszlo Bilyaletdinov's record isn't sparkling either.
Most likely to get booked: Besides Smerdyakov and Bilyaletdinov, Stanislaus Pogrebnyak is a constant contender for yellow cards, as is the goalie Harry Leveson-Gower. Tim Fortuyn also needs to learn to keep a cooler head.[/align]

I'm guessing they'll be needed.
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes
Godmod scoring events: No
RP injuries to my players: Yes, within reason
Godmod injuries to my players: No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes
Godmod other events: No

Stadium: (Picture TBA): Studio 21, at the intersection of Monroe, Oliver, Thompson, and McHenry, four of Talahita's greatest players of all time.

Founding
The Talahita Lions squad, different from Talahita FC, was founded in 1942 by the name of The Talahita I. Football Association Club, six years before its more successful descendant, to play in the fledgling National Football Association (NFA). They complied a decent record, ranking around the middle of the pack, until 1947, when the NFA began to collapse. After a player vote, thirteen players wanted to stay in the NFA and thirteen wanted to disband. The thirteen that stayed became Talahita Lions FC, and the thirteen that left became Talahita FC, uniting under the brash, outspoken, legendary player-coach Anton Mueller. Talahita FC would become a member of the Llamaland Soccer League, which is still the number-one Llamanean domestic league today.

Disbanding and Splitting
The Talahita Lions continued to play in the NFA until 1963, when the NFA finally disbanded after years of legal tumult and stolen ratings by the LSL. The Lions won a championship in 1957 and took third-place in 1954 and 1962 but were never seen as one of the best teams in the league, being underdogs in all three years.
With nobody to play for, the Lions appeared on the verge of financial ruin, losing forty-seven million nuggets to pay the NFA's debts the season before. The forty-seven million nuggets, equal to about twenty-eight million nuggets today, was a big hit to their small losses on the pitch.

One Magic Season
This is when Roberd McHenry and Brian Monroe revolutionized the Lions. Before a neutral and boring squad that barely eked out wins in the playoffs of a defunct league, Monroe, a savvy business expert, transitioned the team into the Pioneer Soccer League (PSL). Cutting costs as fast as the team would allow, Monroe made a hefty sixteen million, a stunning turnaround, in 1964 after a temporary mass exodus of players in 1963. But the team was still not good, finishing seventh of eight in the PSL. In 1965, Monroe decided to gamble on a nineteen-year-old and toolsy midfielder called Roberd McHenry. McHenry shattered all PSL records in his first year, scoring thirty-three goals and finishing with a record-breaking sixty-seven points in just thirty games, leading the team into third place. In the playoffs, McHenry and dynamic young players like striker Rob Fritz and goalie Peter Wilkes had their best performances of the year, beating the Denseonia Patriots 4-1, 2-1 to clinch a finals spot. There, they had a stinker of a first game against FC Dominik, losing 5-2, but recovered to win 4-1 in regulation and OT. In penalty kicks, however, misses by McHenry and Fritz sealed their 3-2 demise.

Glory Years
From 1966 to 1980, McHenry proved himself to be a force offensively while Fritz and Wilkes continued to grow. Monroe continued to add cheap young talent like Jeff Anarkani, Andrew Gordon, and Kurt Oliver. The team won championships in 1967, 1969, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1977, and 1979, with second place finishes in 1968, 1971, and 1978. But the team suffered a shuddering double blow on February 2, 1980: Roberd McHenry announced that he would retire with an all-time record-setting 334 goals despite a barrage of injuries and aging in his later years. And six hours later, the sixty-one-year-old Brian Monroe suffered a fatal heart attack.

Death of an Era
McHenry died in a car accident in 1984, the year that signaled the end of the Lions' fantastic run. New owner Tom Grady succeeded Monroe while Kurt Oliver and Andrew Gordon, two strikers who would combine for a record seventy-two goals in 1983, began to meet McHenry's many accomplishments. Despite their shuddering loss and bad performance in 1980 and 1981, the team recovered for back-to-back-to-back championships.
But after 1984, the team collapsed financially as a recession hit Tom Grady's portfolio. Their once-immense gains began to slowly erode as their eighteen-team league began to crumble. As teams flocked off, only thirteen were remaining. The team finished tenth in 1985, eleventh of twelve in 1986, seventh and dead last in 1987, and found themselves with no league to play in by 1990. The twenty-plus year dynasty had collapsed, and Grady sold the team to Michel Morsen for just sixteen million nuggets in 1990.

The Morsen Epoch and the Present

The team had no league to play in, so Morsen hired Monroe's son Jack to find them another league to play in. As bandwagon and fair-weather fans began to stream away from the Lions, profits Morsen scrounged up from barnstorming and exhibition matches dwindled to just 400k by 1992, a 9.7 million nugget loss. With players beginning to seek better squads elsewhere, an angry Morsen cut ties with about 80% of the team, pouring a 7 million nugget loss into the team but dropping a good portion of costs.

Meanwhile, Jack Monroe found the Lions a three-year membership in the Super-Llamaland Gemstone Football Association (SLGFA), a tiny eight-team league with a tiny fourteen-game schedule. The Lions, playing vastly inferior competition, went 13-0-1 in the first season, defeating their playoff opponents 6-1, 4-2, and 3-0. In 1994, they went 14-0-0, outscoring their opponents 64-7 in the regular season and 19-1 in the playoffs. After two seasons, the SLGFA collapsed.

The team careened onto a semi-barnstorming league, the Llamaland Automotive/Frontier Medical Soccer League (LAFMSL), in 1995, going 7-0. After that, it was the Montague Football Circuit until 1999, the team complying a 44-2 record. The team worked ridiculously hard to bring in profits for Morsen, and as their paychecks got lower and lower, they demanded Morsen sell the team.

In 2000, Morsen sold the team to Jack Thomas, and the Lions joined the second-tier Llamaland Diamond Soccer Association (LDSA), one step below the LSL. Finally back in soccer civilization, the re-energized team, led by Marc Thompson, a fantastic goalie, went 19-2-17 to finish in eighth place of twenty teams. The team continued to chug along until 2012, when they were submitted to the NSPL.

Kranzburgh United was the favorite to win it all in Season 1. However, they fell just short, finishing a single point behind San Ignacio in the race for the Sponsor's Shield. In the postseason, they lost in the Cup championship to San Ignacio.
Goalkeeper Bruno Schumacher, midfielder Lukas Fredriksen, and forward Igor Dragonov all start for the Zhenovian national team. Schumacher won the Keeper of the Year award in the Zhenovia Premier League, Season 1, and Fredriksen won the Midfielder of the Year honors as well. Defender Andros Cahill comes off the bench for the national team. The team recently lost midfielder Lorenzo Bottaliga via transfer to a Lzherusskia team, Poszar Savoprinov after he requested a transfer. However, in an offseason acquisition, they brought in a young Super-Llamaland midfielder in Jordan German. Kranzburgh United and its players are excited for international competition.

Elvabyen Kapital Preview

Postby Frusennia » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:45 am

The following is an opinion article written by Kinzie Schved, Guayabalian-Frussenian sports journalist and captain of Frusennia's national women's hockey team the "Blue Pens". It first appeared in Ice Queens Weekly, an online feminist publication based in Frusennia.

Kapital in the NationStates Premier League: Renaissance or Reckoning?
Professional football may just return to Frusennia after all. Unless you live under a rock, you're more than likely aware of what I'm talking about, but just in case, I'm going to spell it out; Elvabyen Kapital is entering a team in the brand-new NationStates Premier League. The NSPL is a novel idea in international football, a "league of our own" for countries like Frusennia which lack the means or the interest to maintain a club league at the professional level. Kapital is entering a team which reflects the best talent that Frusennian football has to offer, and with it is sounding the first notes of the swansong of the culturally homogeneous Frusennia.

"Wait," I can hear you saying, "Back up. What?"

It goes like this. Frusennia is a pretty homogeneous place; fewer than one percent of all Frusennian citizens are naturalized, and less than two percent are the children of immigrants, but that number is growing. Immigrants to Frusennia and their descendants exist in a sort of limbo that starts when they get off the boat, since no matter how Frusennian we act, there is always the issue of not having a last name that means "son of somebody."

Take me for instance; my parents immigrated here from San Jose Guayabal when I was an infant, and I went to the same rural school from the time I was in kindergarten. I got my first Dynamo jersey when I was eight years old, knew every player's name on the national team, and yet everyone was still surprised when I went out for hockey in junior high. Why? Because I wasn't Frusennian. What exactly was I, then? Guayabalian? I've still never been to SJG; if they host the junior hockey championships, that will be the first time I've stood on Guayabalian soil. The point is that what it is to be Frusennian is changing; not everyone with a legitimate claim to the title is blond-haired, blue-eyed, and Catholic anymore. The recent immigration from Carialus is just the latest in a series of waves of immigrants.

What does this have to do with football? Football is the global sport; there is no question about that. It is the sport of San Jose Guayabal, Felix, Taijan, the Northern Sunrise Islands, Uitbregen, and more. It is a part of my cultural heritage, a part of my identity that until very recently has been oppressed by the ethnic-Frusennian cultural hegemony. Forget job and housing discrimination; white privilege in Frusennia is having a league for the sport that you actually enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I love hockey, but my mother and father still don't get it, and when I go home I have to watch Guayabalian and Felixian football on pay-per-view, making me feel like a foreigner in my own house. I want to watch football and be Frusennian; I want Frusennian football. And Kapital is going to give it to me, whether they like it or not.

And it's not just the audience that's multicultural with this newfangled Kapital team. Oh, no; Frederic Gauttier, the taem's starting sweeper, is the son of Carialian immigrants, and a major proponent for Carialians in Elvabyen. Jose Rodrigo, midfielder, is part of the burgeoning, and invisible, Texacano exile community in Greysolon. This team represents the real Frusennia, the one where you and I live, not the fantasy of old, white, Frusennian hockey fans.

Kinzie Schved is a Ph.D. candidate in history at the National University in Elvabyen currently writing her dissertation about the role of sport in Esportivan diplomacy throughout history. She is also a graduate assistant for the National University men's and women's hockey teams, captain of the Frusennian national women's hockey team the "Blue Pens", and sometime coach of the Frusennian national junior hockey teams. She lives in Elvabyen with her cats, Said and Mulvey.

Play style: The game who Alianza F.C does, is essentially technical, based on the agility of movement of players, using his intelligence for the game for single passes very accurate soil to accumulate players when attacking or using the surprise factor which is use the speed of the players to perform counterattacks that can hurt any team.

In the defense area, they tend to use more physical to play aggressively without damaging the rivals, except that the defenses are of medium height stands that are agile in the aerial game, so it is very difficult to beat thereby.

Players like try long-distance shots to beat the goalkeeper, but Alianza can have more surprises because it is a team that does not give up that easy.

IC: Important Info

Also, fans will treat the fans of the following nations heatedly, some for having a rivalry like SJG VS Darmen, Gregoryisgodistan and Astograth or Alianza F.C VS C.D FAS. The origin of the name cames from the spanish "Campo de guayabas" (Guavas County) (Vulgar: Guayabal) by the abundance of guavas, in 1770 was imposed as the patron of the town Saint Joseph (San José; In spanish) by this reason the name is San José Guayabal (Eng. Saint Joseph Guavas)

History
The village emerged in the mid-eighteenth century, and was known as Guayabal by the abundance of guava. In 1770, according to Pedro Cortés y Larraz (Spanish colonizer), had a population of 593 people "without being subject to any authority."

Indeed, the mayor Mayor Jose Ortiz de la Peña actual surveyor commissioned Don Francisco Jose Vallejo to chart a plan of the new town, which was founded on November 13, 1786 as a people's Guayabal. For 1807 had a population of 1,150 inhabitants.

Under the rule of El Salvador

He was part of the department of San Salvador from 1824-1835, the year he spent in the district of Suchitoto Cuscatlan. For 1859 it had a population of 2,302 inhabitants, which by 1890 had risen to 5,830,000. He received the title of town in 1875, and the city in 2006.

Independence of SJG:

The March 29, 2013, in protest of its 400 million people by the mistreatment of El Salvador, it was decided to wean and the same day, El Salvador accepted independence.

Through time, international litigation, could colonize El Salvador and then arrive to the continent of andarica in Esportiva

According to the latest census (August 2013) was calculated in Guayabal a population of 800 million people, of which are classified into only five ethnic groups, which are:

-Guayabalenses/Guayabalians: 31%
-Salvadorans: 20%
-British: 19%
-Russians: 17%
-Eskimos: 13%

Of which are of different religions:

-Evangelical Christian: 96%
-Catholics: 2%
-Protestants: 2%

Language
The national languages of under Article 8 of the Constitution of the Federation of San Jose Guayabal, adopted in The Honorable People's Parliament are: English, Spanish Guayabalense, Russian, and Eskimo (Most used are: English, Spanish and Guayabalian), encouraging the use of language Guayabalian in:

- All daily activities as the language of communication between citizens of the Federation.

-support their teaching in public schools, private schools and universities in the San Jose Guayabal Federation.

But the SJG citizens talk the following languages:

-Spanish: 30%
-Guayabalian: 30%
-English: 15%

FIRST VERSE
Of peace enjoyed in perfect happiness
San Jose Guayabal always nobly dreamed.
To achieve this has been Her eternal proposition,
To keep it, Her greatest glory.
With inviolable faith, the path of progress
She strives to follow
To fulfil Her great destiny
And conquer a happy future.
A stern barrier protects Her
Against the clash of vile disloyalty,
Ever since the day when Her soaring Flag,
Wrote Freedom with Its blood

CHORUS
Let us salute, the Motherland, proudly
To be its children, called we can
And let us swear our lives spiritedly
Without rest to its good, consecrate!

Let us salute, the Motherland, proudly

In recent years, the sport called "association football" has fallen in popularity. The Catholican Catholica Football League System has still been running, but ever since the league has seen a mass drop in attendance because of the fall of football has an unpopular sport, there have been rumors of the league system, after only running for two seasons, to shut down completely. However, the decline of football in Catholican Catholica can come to an end as a new team has emerged. Catholica FC, a small but confident group of players who have decided to form the first national club to be admitted into the Nationstates Premier League, or NSPL, for short. Beginning next Wednesday, the 8th of January, this new squad will play against opponents along the likes of San Jose Guayabal and Valanora. Will Catholica FC prove for themselves and for this nation that the sport of football has not vanished, or will they fail in their hopes of restoring football to its former glory?

Manager: David Hardwood
Assistant Manager: Jonathan Henderson
First Team Coach: Ramsay Lowry
Goalkeeping Coach: Barney Newport

Starting Lineup
Position: Goalkeeper
Number: 1
Name: Neil Longstaff
Age: 29
Bio: Neil was an aspiring goalkeeper who was very overshadowed by scouts in his earlier years. His great reflexes and reactions make him a good goalkeeper to guard the net.

Position: Defender
Number: 37
Name: Malachi Derrickson
Age: 22
Bio: Malachi is a fairly young player in his 20's who strives to become one of the greatest defenders of all time. He has great strength, but lacks a bit of speed.

Position: Defender
Number: 13
Name: Blaine Duffy
Age: 28
Bio: Blaine, just like Neil, was overshadowed by scouts in his earlier years. However, his big break came when he played for Freetown United when they won their first championship in the second season of the Catholican Catholica Premier League. He does not have great strength, but is reliable for catching up to players who are through on goal.

Position: Defender
Number: 6
Name: Hartley Farnham
Age: 28
Bio: Hartley played for a small football club named Seaside FC when he was about 19 years old. His sheer pace caught the eyes of a recruiter for New Hope United when he was 26. He played in the Premier League of Catholican Catholica for two years, until he was called up to the squad of Catholica FC.

Position: Defender
Number: 5
Name: Raynard Irvin
Age: 25
Bio: Raynard came from being a university football superstar to being a national football superstar. He played for his university team while he was enrolled there. His big break came when he graduated because a scout recruited him to become a part of Freetown United. From then on, he gained a large reputation at the club before becoming a part of Catholica FC.

Position: Midfielder
Number: 33
Name: Michael MacClelland
Age: 21
Bio: Michael is an aspiring midfielder who wants to become one of the greatest football players in history. He was called up from a scout to play for Catholica FC after the scout had seen him play for his university squad, the Catholica University Golden Eagles. His fast speed and his crossing abilities make him a good choice for playing as a winger.

Position: Midfielder
Number: 20
Name: Fergus Kay
Age: 22
Bio: Hailing from a small suburb from the outskirts of New Catholica, Fergus Kay was raised as a footballing child. Both his parents were football players from back in the day, when Catholican Catholica was a colony of the Dominican Empire. His parents taught him well, and he became one of the greatest midfielders in the CCPL when he signed with New Hope United in the first season. His incredible vision and his outstanding ability to work with the ball makes him a great player to put in midfield.

Position: Midfielder
Number: 22
Name: Kev Goode
Age: 25
Bio: Kev started out being a person with a channel on the top video sharing website "MeTube." On that channel, he posted videos of himself taking free kicks. A scout watched his videos, and luckily for him, he got chosen to be one of the midfielders for the Goldenburg Knights. His sheer accuracy and ability to take free kicks makes him the best free kick taker on the team.

Position: Midfielder
Number: 17
Name: Robbie Chance
Age: 26
Bio: Robbie was a young player who played for a small amateur club in his native town of Brookdale. As he grew older, however, he learned many football skills and perfected them greatly. However, he was overlooked by all the scouts. Finally, he was given a spot in the squad of Second Division side Harrington City FC in the first season. His biggest breakthrough, however, was when he got called up for the national club team just a few weeks ago. His ball control and his pace makes him a good winger to have on the sides.

Position: Forward
Number: 10
Name: Trystan Janson
Age: 18
Bio: A very young player who was pulled out from his high school football team, he was called up by some scouts to play for Catholica FC after they had seen him play in a tournament match. His quick speed, his ability to control the ball very well, and his ability to use skills in a real match situation to get past defenders makes him an effective striker.

Position: Forward
Number: 23
Name: Burt Higgins
Age: 24
Bio: Burt was called up to the Catholica FC squad after his explosive performance as the superstar striker at Freetown United. He has incredible speed and is not afraid to pull the trigger when he thinks he is close enough to shoot and score. He is a very effective shooter putting power over precision, making his shots tough to defend against.

2 months previously

The crowd at Force Roma Arena was deadly quiet as the ball rested on the foot of the aging Greek midfielder, Nikos Stralnis, so quiet infact that after he said a quick prayer to the gods the thump as he sent the ball on its blisteringly fast journey towards the United and Metropolitan goal could be heard.
Also audible was the groan from 35000 supporters of Eastern fire of Caldonaris as, in the U&M goal, the gnarled hand of Mickie Roper plucked the ball out of the air.

The teenage winger, Crown Prince Blacksen of Celeria, of the royal house of Domination, stepped up to the goal of Eastern fire of Caldonaris, his heart beating ever faster. As he did so, he was taken back to painful memories last year:
Blacksen had the ball at his feet, until a loud fogorn: from some idiot supporter of Pride of Turin caused him to lose composure. His kick was so bad, merely a slip almost, that Hans Keiner in the opposition goal would have been made of stone if he hadn't managed to save it.

This time would be different: as Blacksen stepped up, and the crowd grew silent, a feeling of quiet anticipation gripped him. He gestured towards the referee that he was ready, and as the whistle blew, he sent the ball smashing into the top right-hand corner.

Today

Now, as he boarded the plane, he could remember it all: the embrace given to him by the rest of his team, lifting the Copa l'Havaerne up high before ceremonially kissing it, being paraded with the rest of the team around the Della Barecci Metropolis...all the awards from newspapers and associations, some of which he had barely heard of.
Now though, their was only the anticipation of another league to play in as he set down for the short flight that would take him to his teams summer training camp in the far south of the Celerian province.
RIP Vakolic, 08/08/2009-29/12/2013, unjustly deleted.

Smerdyakov: “We're Going To Take Them To The ****ing Cleaners”

SMYSLOVA: Controversial football superstar Frantisek Smerdyakov has been reprimanded by the Lzher Footballing Association after his appearance last night on the Vokroga sports show fell foul of the regulators.

Invited onto the show by host Dmitry Antipin, when asked for his thoughts on Smyslova Virmest and their chances in the upcoming season of the NS Premier League, the 20-year-old was blunt and extremely forthright.

“I don't know a ****ing thing about who we're going to be playing and I don't give a ****,” said the reigning LMV Most Valuable Player, “because it doesn't ****ing matter. We're going to go out there, play the same ****ing way against every opponent, kick them off the ****ing field and take our rightful ****ing victories!”

Smerdyakov, still widely expected to start for Smyslova Virmest, had some even stronger words for one member of a future opponent, adding “The one guy, the ONE guy I'm looking forward to meeting is that smug mother****er from Torisakia, Lucas whatever. I'm going to lock on him like a ****ing cruise missile and the second he even ****ing thinks about trying to be flash, I'm going to break his ****ing leg.”

A spokesperson for Smyslova today read from a prepared statement: “On Frantisek's behalf, we would like to apologise to anybody who watched Vokroga yesterday and was offended by his comments. Frantisek is a man of tremendous passion and pride in his country, and he simply got carried away by his emotions. Mr. Gabashviliev has officially reprimanded him, and we hope the matter can be put to rest now.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, many fans reacted well to the interview. A Poszar Savoprinov fan said “With Smerdyakov, you hate him at club level but you love him when he's representing the nation. He's a holy terror and he's dirty as all hell, but he's still an absolutely astonishing player, and all he did last night was say the things most of his teammates are probably thinking but are too scared to actually say. The world's not going to know what hit them.”

The schedules for the NS Premier League are expected to be released within the week.

The Sunricean Field Trip: A Tale About the Sunrice Saint-Raptors
Chapter 1: The New Coach

Image
Sunrice Saint-Raptors Cricket and Football Club. The Football expansion of the Cricket Team was quite unexpected by the few that paid attention to Cricket at NSI. So unexpected and unknown that even the NSIFC didn't know why the Apocalyptic Church of Raptor Jesus talked so highly of their team, going as far as requesting a Sunrise Championship A spot.

The NSIFC answered by slamming the door on their faces, instantly cutting any possible participation of the Saint-Raptors at their pyramid. Which gave them the second option, the NS Premier League. An upcoming tournament that featured teams from all around the Multiverse. And since none of the teams from the Sunrise Championship could participate of it, since they already had to juggle both NSI Cup and Sunrise Championship, the Sunrice Saint-Raptors jumped straight away on their chance.

And that's a bit before of where we start, when the Sunrice Saint-Raptors made their first contract, signing with Sunrisian player-coach and Barastujan champion, Hierro Meneguel.

Image
Hierro Meneguel, New Coach and Player
January 7th, SUNRICE CITY - The Sunrice Saint-Raptors finished talks positively with Hierro Meneguel, a center-forward that also has a coach license registration as he will join the upcoming NS Premier League Amethyst Placement Group side for three seasons.

Meneguel isn't an impressive player himself, but his accolades as a trainer are acceptable, specially for a team of the size of the Sunrice Saint-Raptors. Accompanied by his younger brother, Filipe, they won last season's Campeonato Barastujano. Whether Filipe will join the team and who will join the roster will be revealed later on, as the team finish their talks with other talent for their first season at the NS Premier League.

After being signed, Hierro quickly went to the drawing board and found out that he had three scouts he could send around for players. Now... where to start?
Tails... Watch out, you're gonna crash, aaaaah!

As heretic sare at an all-time low in Charruterra, they've signed up for this new league thing. They could be killing people in your country if they're visiting. However, as it could spark some kind of war or something, they're not gonna attack opposing teams. They also know how to play football... a bit.

GK: Blargablarga Harjargargaja

CM: Arahaja Manadarata
CM: Dioí Ujikoho
RM: Haijí Cohasadaján

Substitutes won't be needed, or so the Heretic Cleansing Squad argues. The shirts will be all-black with the HCS' logo. The position of the logo may vary.

K.F. LORCEAGU

The story...
Lorceag is a rapidly developing "new town" in the rolling hills of central Kinitaria. It was the dwelling chosen by the new Kinitar government to act as a shining beacon of technological development. As such, in the past couple of years, massive investment has been poured into it, turning this once-isolated rural community into a sprawling modern city. Such development isn't without its problems, of course, and you can't expand a city that much that quickly without a few communist tower blocks springing up, but on the whole, it's a safe enough place to live, there's exactly enough jobs to go around (ah, central planning), and people have just as much as they need (assuming the government decides what they need).
What better way to display this showpiece city to the rest of the world than to join the fledgeling NationStates Premier League? A new stadium was built in double-quick time, and an entire professional team uprooted from nearby Gorica to come and play in Lorceag. There was some indignation from the Gorica fans, but they'll get over it in time, right? KF Lorceagu is effectively a new club anyway, and its official date of foundation (ie, this year) reflects that. Hooliganism remains a problem in Kinitar football, and authorities will be hoping that this doesn't carry over to the world stage, but actions of Kinitar fans in recent times suggests that may not be the case.

The city of Lorceag has a dual significance to Kinitaria because, as well as being the subject of an economic modernisation drive, the Premier of Kinitaria, Irin Kucinič, was born inside the city limits. As such, he was the obvious choice to honour when the time came to build the new team's stadium. The modern arena was completed very quickly and is a segregated, all-seater stadium with an away end that holds up to 4,000 spectators.

Tactics
Lorceagu will be playing an attacking 4-5-1 with the wide midfielders pushing up to support the attack, style mod 1.5. The Kinitar game is extremely physical and these players are no different. Expect them to rough up opponents whenever they get the chance, but watch out for the dangerous challenges that will no doubt be flying in. They're guaranteed to be near the top of the table, but the table in question is the disciplinary one.

They don't have a rigidly defined starting XI, as Malič likes to rotate his squad. However, the younger players are unlikely to get a game in normal circumstances.

They play a short, direct passing style, preferring to work the ball up the pitch rather than hoofing long balls, and a simple style of football, consisting of getting the ball upfield as quickly as possible without any fancy stuff. Shots from outside the area are rare, they're good at crossing and set pieces, but short on pace and creativity.

Notes (to be updated, but will be considered post-WC67 by me, ICly)

The Federation of Free Republics (FFR) is a federation of Republics with a weak national government (the "Federation Government") that has numerous checks and balances. The Republics, each of which has its own government, are relatively independent, although they are subject to the Federation Constitution and its numerous restrictions on what government can do. Most important among them is the cap on taxation, which makes it unconstitutional for government (meaning all governments in the FFR) to take more than 10% combined of anybody's income in taxes, effectively limiting the government. They are the nearest neighbor to Saintland, although that tiny island nation is over a thousand miles to the north of the northern-most Republic's northern border, and most Republicans actually tend to consider progressives worse than religious fanatics, even if both ideologies are considered extreme and contrary to Republicanism.

This is the same team as the Republican National Team. The players on this team would not necessarily be considered the best players in the FFR. Republican athletes tend to have massive egos and they aren't interested in playing for their country. This team was the idea of Rule Theriault, a failed former manager who had led a team that was expected to contend for the league title to relegation. Theriault failed as manager at Petrograd United because the veteran players on that team, with their giant egos, did not respect their manager or his approach to the game. Theriault clashed with players because he emphasizes a team-first style of play and an intense practice schedule. To rebuild his reputation, he decided to work with younger players that would take instruction and was able to get a number of talented young players, even if most of the country's top prospects turned him down. Theriault has chosen to stick with his core of players on his National Team. In the past, he even entered the team in the Acedonian Premier League, a UICA-affiliated league, for a season, but he has since turned Republica FC, his APL team, into a separate organization under separate management, with Theriault in charge of personnel decisions. Now, he has decided to enter the National Team into the NSPL, in hopes of helping the players get additional experience when they are not competing in the numerous international tournaments. Because Federation United will frequently be competing in major international tournaments, they will not be starting their best starting lineup very often. Instead, this team will provide opportunities for other players, that rarely make it off of the bench, to get more experience on the pitch.

Brief History
FC United is one of the eight charter members of the National Soccer Association, now National Primer Soccer League in West Guiana. The club's home and headquarters is Centennial Stadium, the majority owner is Sammuel F. Howerson the second richest man in West Guiana. It was his dream to own a soccer club after watching matches around the region from Vilita to Audioslavia and wanted to copy those clubs success in their domestic leagues.
Image

When the NSA was formed he spent over WG60 million on training domestic players and in hopes of turning them into champions. The problem for a year for the Lions is that they had no stdia to call home, in 2006 Howerson bought some unused land near the industrial part of Gemsbrook for a stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 22,500 and is also home to the nations Lacroose team. The star player of the Lions for many years was Chaze de Lope born in the Hispanic neighborhood of Siezlez in south eastern Gemsbrook. From 2001 to 2004 he lead the Lions in goals scored averaging 17.6 goals a season, with his accurate legs he lead the Lions to two NSA titles in 2003 and 2004, after only six years of playing Chaze de Lope retired only to be hired by the Lions two years latter where in he is still the current manager, this is due to the fact as Manager he's helped the Lions win three more titles (2008, 2010, 2011) while training many younger players. The current score leader for the Lions are two powerful and agile forwards in Todd Wilcock and Ahkmid Veil-Telish. Both Wilcock and Veil-Tish were drafted by Howerson in 2011, and signed a five year contract of WG3.2 million. After last season they both were signed to a WG8.2 million six year extension. Howerson to date has spent over WG561 million to enhance FC United's performance and skill, as it's already paid off with a record five league titles and many more likely to come.
