WK2: 11/24
WK3: 11/26
WK4: 11/28-Yes that's right, we'll have Thanksgiving football(Note: 12 PM EST Cutoff Time)
WK5: 12/1
WK6: 12/3
That's enough for now, just know we'll play 14 games plus playoffs
Please know the schedule will be flexible, and I may make changes.

RP Bonus Cutoffs:
Sundays: 12 PM EST
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4:45 PM EST

Please note these are subject to change as well.

I did some tweaking to the original format I suggested. I decided that the division winners will automatically advance to the playoffs. In each conference, the better team will get a bye. Meanwhile, the two next best teams in each conference will play a Wild Card game to play the worst of the automatically qualified team. The winner of that game will play the best team in the conference for the conference championship. The winner of that game for both conferences play each other for the Commissioner's Cup, the Super Bowl of the AAFA.

This thread will be used to post the results, but you can also RP for better results and post rosters for you're team. While RPing gives you a better chance of winning, it does not guarantee you a win.

Mannendorf Hammers GK

Team History
The Hammers were the first gridiron team to move into the Seebahn Corridor. While the west coast is more traditionally more of a football(soccer) region, team president Daniel Weinmacher created a small club team and moved their field into an abandoned warehouse he bought for 30 AM(American Marks). It proved to be the best investment he ever made. The team is known for their stadium, as well as 4 GL(domestic league) titles in the past 7 years.

Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Karl Himmelberg
Off. Coordinator: Freidrich Schulz
Def. Coordinator: Alek von Kurzweil
Special Teams Coordinator: Rudy Neubauer

Strategies
Offense- The offense is based around the concept of clock management. The team is known nationally for their fullback and halfback sweeps, as well as running most plays in variations of the I-formation.
Defense- The defense is a "bend not break" defense, playing quarters(3-deep). They are very strong in the red zone, however.

What to look out for
Offense- The offense is known for its skill of keeping possession. Niklaus Pfeffler is known throughout the states as a fullback who can get the job done. The offense is very much a grinding offense. However, the spectacular dual threat tight-ends and former quarterback for national champion Eisenport A&M Sergio Esposito make for a fantastic play-action when they need a big play. Otherwise, they rely on the steady running game to get the job done.
Defense-The defense is a conservative one, allowing yardage often. However, they are very strong in the red zone. The cornerbacks also try some interesting plays, especially involving Klaus Grünberg. He is used on the occasional blind-side blitz as well as being a ballhawk. The defense is very well rounded and versatile, which allows von Kurzweil to change things up and keep the opposition on their toes.
Special Teams-The special teams is notorious for gadget plays. Neubauer used to play for Eisenport A&M when they invented the "Stormy Seas" tactic of deception and athleticism to score touchdowns on special teams plays, such as holder sneaks, the kicker whiff, and even the lineman toss-throw. The kicker Manuel Netter, a former player for the Alle-GAS academy team is the best kicker in the German American domestic league.

Overall, the team is known for their grinding attitude, and versatility to catch their teams off guard.

The Sylvan Beach Wumbos- Official Roster and other information
Basic Info:
Head Coach: Francis Barres
OC: Henry Davidson
DC: Tony Gellardo
Stadium: "The Raft"
Cap: 100,000 people

Roster:
(OOC: I'm only putting descriptions for people I will include in my RPs.)
QB's:
Vinchenzo Rizzo: Starting Quarterback. Good composure and good under pressure, but has a slight tendency to throw in traffic. Sometimes good WR's catch them, but other times, well, it doesn't end to well.
Bob Fish: Backup QB, holds the ball for field goals, always been pretty jealous of Rizzo, since he hasn't played a game in a couple years. Average overall, but he's pretty full of himself, and does stupid things like running the ball (and not sliding) and throwing in traffic frequently. He celebrates a lot.
Rhema Cleveland (3rd String)
HB's:
Kyle Corey: Starting Running Back. A Trent Richardson-type halfback, a good mix of power and speed. His downfalls are on plays when the ball is pitched to him, or just outside handoffs. Good ball handling, doesn't fumble much. He can also catch the ball. Can have a bit of a short temper if a defensive player celebrates a bit to much, but he usually keeps it under control.
Al Hawkins: Backup Running Back. Unlike Ben Barnes, he can be subbed in plenty during a game if Kyle Corey gets tired. He's actually a lot like Corey, but he's more speed than power. Also, his strengths are outside handoffs and pitches. Running him up the middle would be stupid, because he's smaller and more prone to injuries.
Rufus Mobley (3rd String)
Kody Tatum (Special Teams)
Fullback's:
Anthony Oliver: Starting Fullback, but in usually in goal line situations when we need an extra blocker. He's a great blocker, and sometimes when tricks are played, he can end up running the ball.
Franky Archer (2nd String)
WR's:
Marc Fellows: Redneck from the Southern Part of German Shepherds. Enjoys fishing. He makes great catches in traffic and just good catches in general, but his downfall is being cover by someone fast, as he's a little skinnier than a tight end. Statistically the best WR on the team.
Raymond Holt (Special Teams)
Donte Gillet (Backup)
Peter Thomas: Doesn't actually go in the game for the offense a lot, but he's the main Punt/Kick returner. He's a good returner and an average WR. He's also pretty fast.
Jeremiah McKenzie (Backup)
Gregory Gold (Backup)
Robert Trump (In Starting Rotation)
Tristan Gagne: Very Good wide receiver. Makes pretty good catches in traffic. He can take a fast safety or cornerback, but he struggles when covered by Linebackers.
TE's:
William Pringle: Starting Tight End. Usually runs curl routes and shorter routes, but afterwards he can run over and shed off a lot of defenders, making him perfect for a 3rd and 10 situation.
Avery Bowman (In starting rotation, special teams)
Guards:
Tyrell Alvarez (Starting LG)
Tracy Weldon (LG)
Ismael Ricks (Starting rotation LG)
Rufus Flanagan (Starting Center, long snapper)
Sheldon Archie (Center)
Courtney Parks (RG)
DeMario Whitetaker (RG)
Garry Rollins (Starting Rotation RT)
Davin Lemon (Starting RT)
(Defense)
Perry Walsh (Starting LE)- Very aggressive left end. Short temper. Lead team in sacks along with Bobby Mori, as well as tackles for loss.
Paris Witherspoon (LE)
Dedrick Fox (Starting rotation LE)
Bobby Mori (Starting RE)
Tom Convington (RE)
Myron Hoffman (Starting rotation RE)
Roderick Flowers (Starting DT)-Very big Defensive Tackle.
Ernest Heath (Starting rotation DT)
Marques Flores (DT)
Chris Chapman (LOLB)- Starter, part of the "Big 3," consisting of all our starting linebackers. Combined they have a lot of tackles, and they're all pretty good players when it comes to coverage.
Freddy Colbert (LOLB)
Jerome O'Donnell (LOLB)
Logan Burrell (Starting MLB)- Part of the Big 3, and the best of them. He's pretty big and effective with blitz.
Ricky Mayhew (MLB)- Starts on the Special Teams unit.
Youdlain Holmes (MLB)
Caleb Belle (Starting ROLB)- Part of the Big 3. He's great for run blocking and lays down big hits.
Jaymond Rose (ROLB)
Pete Cobbs (CB, not related to Louis Cobbs)
Louis Cobbs (CB, Starting)
Maurice Bass (CB, Starting)
Orlando Gilbert (CB)
Quincy Rawlins (CB)
Bobby Webster (FS)- Starting Free Safety, related to Cory Webster of the New York Giants, and is pretty much just like him when he was young.
Pete Bright (FS)
George Timberlake (Starting SS)
Devon Cason (SS)
Kenan Henley (SS)
Kicker/Punter:
Riley Dixon: Very good punter, can kick up to 52 yards. Usually kicks the ball from kickoff to the opposite endzone. Can usually kick a field goal from around 49-52 yards. Starting Kicker and Punter.
Theo DeLuca

Chun City 57ers

Image

Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Jimmy Harenbaugh
Special Teams: Bradley Seadly
Defensive: Victor Fabio
Offensive: Gregory Romano

Strategy
Offensive Strategy: West Coast Offense w/Tweaks; Lots of Running; including QB sneaks and Play Action to Keep Defense Off Balance (Runs lots of I-Formation)
Defensive Strategy: Aggressive Defense; Lots of Blitzing; Plays Balanced (4-4 Scheme)

Things to Look Out For:
Offense: When it comes to the read-option, Carl Kapernickle is not only fast, but strong. He can run through tough defenses without a problem. Sometimes, Carl gives the ball to RB Franky Killer so that he may play as a QB on a flea flicker, confusing the defense. Lastly, when the real play action comes, Carl throw a quick pass while the defense is distracted. Yet, this has caused a problem in the past leading to interceptions.

Defense: The D-Line of the 57ers are deadly. They can get viscous and too out of hand including causing career ending injuries to Qbs everywhere. They play strong blitzes, which usually ends up for a sack; especially Alldone Smithsoni. Alldone is one of the best LBs. Offenses beware of Tarn White, the most deadly of the CBs. He's extremely fast and once he intercepts a ball, he makes sure to take it to the house.

Special Teams: Not too special. (get the pun?) Only thing is the punter can kick to another team's one yard line successfully, but usually, the 57ers go for it on 4th down.

History

The 57ers are a relatively young and new team. Most of the players are full of talent, and are devoted to go 100% the whole game. After only one year in GAFA (another league), the 57ers were not only conference champions, but also took their team to the Prime Bowl. In the Prime Bowl, the 57ers fell short to another hot team the Coreus Phoenixes 27-24, missing a potential game saving field goal from 54 yards. This year, the 57ers are looking to go beyond runner ups.

The stadium can seat 71,437 people. This is enough to make it bowl game capable, btw. ;)

History

Along with the Surrey Mustangs of United Horizon, the Port Trádáil Grinders are one of the two teams from the original AAFL that remain. The team, along with United Horizon, have the most Hall Of Fame players to this season. The team was founded in 1923 by Phil Robinson, and played at the Scones Downs against other amateur teams from the region. While still competing in the Sandwich American Football League like it has for the last 90 years, the team has recently started to participate in international leagues. Now the team plays in the Allianz Stadium of Port Trádáil , which was first put into use in 2005. The team, within the 90 years the SAFL has existed, has won 13 of the league titles.

Sylvan Beach Wumbos top Old Crustville Grinders in 4th-quarter thriller
Today the Sylvan Beach Wumbos won against the Old Crustville Grinders in the Amateur American Football Association. This game was very close down to the wire. Here is the game rundown:
First Quarter:
The Wumbos decide to kick first on the coin toss, and the Crustville Grinders score a touchdown on their first drive of the game after the running back Stephen Dumars gets to the outside and gains to the 4 yard line! On the following play, quarterback Wayne Saunders III throws a play action pass to Kevin Morales in the corner of the endzone! Sylvan Beach safeties argue he was out of bounds, but replays show Morales was just in bounds. The Wumbos drive to just before the 50, where Riley Dixon kicks a nice punt and the Grinders aren't in a very good position. A couple plays later, Saunders throws a pass to Bennard Pollard, but he bobbles and drops the ball, and it falls into the hands of Bobby Webster! Webster takes it in for a pick six. The rest of the quarter were all three and outs.
Second Quarter:
Finally breaking the scoring drought, Crustville drives to the 20, after a great pass caught by Kevin Morales. Stephen Dumars breaks through the middle and just scores! The Grinders go to kickoff. It's a great kick from Brian Schwertsfeger, and Hall of Famer, to the start of the endzone. Peter Thomas carries it out to the 35, and Ronnie Willis strips the ball from him! There's a huge dogpile, and then the ball somehow pops out of the pile. Thomas picks it up and runs into the endzone uncontested in a crazy kickoff play.
Score at halftime:
14-14

3rd Quarter:
In the middle of the third, there's a big tackle on Stephen Dumars. He is taken to the locker room. Replays showed he most like hurt his elbow/arm, but we got word that he would play, and would just be out for the rest of the quarter. The Fullback, Josh Roberts, takes over as starting halfback for the remainder of the quarter. Roberts would gain plenty of yards and first downs for Old Crustville. The Wumbos score on the next drive, but a penalty for holding is called, and the crowd and players are furious, as it looked like it was an honest block from replays. The crowd "booed" for the next few possessions, and the coach yelled at the refs, especially after a similar play wasn't called on the Grinders, and they scored a few plays after.
4th Quarter:
It was a wild fourth quarter. In the late fourth quarter, the Wumbos manage to score after Rizzo gets a pass to Kyle Corey for 20 yards! The game was tied. Francis Barres told his team to kickoff and they did. After running Dumars after he was cleared to play, they were in the last minute and they began to kneel the ball. With around 30 seconds remaining, the Grinders get a turnover on downs after kneeling the ball a few times. The Wumbos used their last time out, and Rizzo throws a Hail Mary up. Marc Fellows makes a great catch in field goal position, but doesn't make it out of bounds. The field goal unit rushes out onto the field, and in the winding seconds, Dixon gets the field goal with two seconds to spare. Sylvan Beach kicks it off, and stops the Crustville returner from getting past the 40, and the game ends.
"I was pleased with the win, but not the defense in general," says head coach Francis Barres at a press conference. "We gave up to many big passes and rushes, and it nearly cost us the game. I expect us to work on that a lot, as I was pleased with the offensive play. I liked Bobby's interception, but I think that might have been luck for him, since it fell into his hands."

Steve Bradshaw: Hello, I'm Steve Bradshaw

Ronald Gerrick: And I'm Ronald Gerrick, and welcome to the Chunnan Sports Highlights Show

Steve Bradshaw: Today, we'll be going over the Chun City 57ers home opener verses the Baltimore Ravens Amateur.

Ronald Gerrick: The game had all you can ask for: strong defense, a comeback, and a controversial call that should have led the game to overtime.

Steve Bradshaw: Let's begin with the stats. Carl Kapernickle had an outstanding performance, with 48 rushing yards and 238 passing yards, most of these stats came from the second half.

Ronald Gerrick: Carl Kapernickle is a really dynamic QB, even without his speed, Kapernickle still can manage to be an elite QB with a great arm, and he's proven so this game.

Steve Bradshaw: And what about Franky Killer? He hasn't had so much of a great rushing game. Killer only ran for 58 yards, and had 11 yards receiving. Killer has not scored a touchdown since before the GAFA playoffs. What do you think is his problem Gerrick?

Ronald Gerrick: I think he's really getting old, and it may be time to put in a new RB such as LeMike Johns. He's shown an outstanding performance in off-season games, I think coach should give him a shot.

Steve Bradshaw: Well I disagree, it's the beginning of the season, Killer still has lots of time to improve. Okay, not lets discuss today's defense, and what a tremendous day it has been for this team.

Ronald Gerrick: You're right Steve, this young defense has really proven to be well, coming up with 3 interceptions last game, but with one being controversial. But to the point, this team has a lot of fire and passion. Like my coach told me before, as long as you have the will and ability, you can win any game.

Steve Bradshaw: And now for some highlights, everyone's favorite part! Starting off with the 2nd quarter, Ravens up 6-0 after two field goals in the first. The ball's on the Raven's 15-yard line and it's the 57ers ball. Kapernickle in the I-formation, fakes it to Franky Killer on the play action; THROWS A BULLET TOWARDS LUIGI CUNNINGHAM, 15 yard touchdown. That leaves the game 7-6 for the 57ers.

Steve Bradshaw: It's the 4th quarter now, 57ers are up 10-9, Kapernickle in the I-Formation, play action, and throws it to Mike Appletree on a WR screen, and takes it all the way for a 39-yard touchdown. The 57ers up 17-9, with only 2 minutes to go.

Ronald Gerrick: And now for the controversy. The Ravens are in the redzone on 3rd and goal with only 7 seconds remaining. The Raven's QB throw the ball, and the ball looks as if it hits the ground. Yet, CB Tarn White picks it off, and knees it in the endzone for a touchback.

Image
Did the ball hit the ground?

Steve Bradshaw: As you can see in the highlight above, it's not too obvious whether or not the ball hit the ground. What's your opinion Ronald?

Ronald Gerrick: I think the referees should've called it a dead ball, it's a crucial moment in the game with no time remaining, at least try to take a closer look. But even if it wasn't an interception, the receiver ran a bad route and it was all the QB's fault for throwing into double coverage. Yet, whatever happened is now over, and both teams should be concentrating on what's coming up ahead on Sunday.

Steve Bradshaw: Well on a positive note, congratulations to the Chun City 57ers on their opening against the Ravens. We'll be right back with commercials.

Grinders Fall Short in the 4th

SYLVAN BEACH-- It is always hard to start the season away from home, but it was a day of rather large disappointment for the Grinders. According to Head Coach Dan Stevenson, the Grinders "had the game in the f*****g bag". Regardless of the result though, some Grinder players had a good game. QB Wayne Saunders III had 1 TD and 1 INT on the game, RB Steven Dumars had 1 TD for 20 yds, and MLB Ronnie Willis had 1 frc fum.

"We just had it rough in the end, but we are already planning for next game. All we can do is move on, and win the next games. If we dwell on this close loss, we aren't going to improve our game. We are just looking forward to the next match on our schedule, and looking forward to playing some great football in our stadium, in front of our fans."

Sylvan Beach Slips Past Nor'Del
Sylvan Beach is now at a 2-0 record, top of Silver A, after defeating Nor'Del earlier today. Like the game against the Old Crustville Grinders, this game was down to the wire.

First Quarter:
It's the Nord's first possession, and they're almost at midfield. After Kyle Cole is sacked by Perry Walsh, he throws an interception to Bobby Webster, and he takes it back to the 3 yard line, and Kyle Corey runs it in for the Wumbo's first score of the game. Nor'Del answers on the next drive with a 33-yard field goal from Nathan Jobe.
Score After First Quarter: 7-3 Sylvan Beach
Second Quarter:
After trying to pull off a fullback run, Anthony Oliver fumbles, and it's recovered by Nor'Del. They don't make anything out of it, and are forced to punt. On the next Wumbo possession, they drive to the 37 and Riley Dixon makes a field goal from there. The Nords have the ball before the half ends, but they don't score.
Score After Second Quarter: 10-3 Sylvan Beach
Third Quarter:
On the Nord's third possession of the second half, Kyle Cole throws a great pass to Joshua Marshall and he makes it to the Wumbo 17 yard line. On the next play, Jonathan Faulk gets to the outside and scores for Nor'Del! Sylvan Beach has some great possessions after that, but due to holding penalties, they don't score for the rest of the quarter.
Score After Third Quarter: 10-10 Tied
Fourth Quarter:
On the Wumbo's second possession of the quarter, Rizzo throws a good pass to Marc Fellows for a 47 yard gain out to the Nor'Del 8 yard line. Two plays later, Kyle Corey punches it in, his second score of the game. In the final two minutes of the game, the Nords have possession they drive to the Sylvan Beach 21 yard line. In a 4th & 6 situation, it's an incomplete pass, and the Wumbos just kneel it for the remainder of the game.
Final: 17-10 Sylvan Beach Wins

Nords Off to a Slow Start
As the title suggests, the Nor' Del Nords are off to a slow start. The Nords entered into the Amateur American Football Association as a result of the CAFL (Chiata American Football League) being closed. All of the best players formed and made the Nor' Del Nords. So far, it isn't going very well. In the first two games, Nor' Del lost both of them. In the first game, the Nor' Del Nords embarrassingly fell to their former region member Zenoch. The Wolvernines defeated the Nords 16-13 from a last-minute field goal. The bad luck continued when Nor' Del faced off against the Sykvan Beach Wumbos 17-10. Now the Nords are ranked last in the Silver A Conference. Ahead of them are the No. 3 Zenoch Wolvernines, the No. 2 Old Crustville Grinders, and the No. 1 Sylvan Beach Wumbos. "I am very dissapointed in our team. We have lost because of our turnovers," says Nord's Coach. It is true, the Nords hav a turover ration of 1:3. Meaning for every take away they have, the other team gets three. Next, the Nor' Del Nords will take on the Old Crustville Grinders. Hopefully the Nords will turn around and Chiata American Football fans will have SOME hope.

LIVE ON CHUNNAN SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS SHOW
Image

Steve Bradshaw: Hello, I'm Steve Bradshaw

Ronald Gerrick: And I'm Ronald Gerrick, and welcome to the Chunnan Sports Highlights Show

Steve Bradshaw: Let's start the show by talking about the 57ers dominant performance this week verses division rival Bosanore Spartans.

Ronald Gerrick: For the most part, 57ers had it in the bag. They led 21-0 in the first half, and in the second, let their second string get some reps.

Steve Bradshaw: I think that was a smart decision by Harenbaugh, letting those second string have a chance to shine and possibly take a starting position.

Ronald Gerrick: Now let's discuss the stats. 57ers with 430 yards total offense today. Franky Killer had an improvement to 70 yards in the first half, but then sat out in the second half. Kapernickle played the whole game; he had 304 passing yards, 36 rushing yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and is 24-30 on passing.

Steve Bradshaw: The second string running back LeMike Johns didn't have a great game. He had only 20 yards rushing.

Ronald Gerrick: Also, an amazing game for Appletree, with 148 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. Well that helped my fantasy team. Lastly, the defense had an outstanding game with 5 sacks (3 by Alldone Simthsoni, 2 by Ahmad Brookland), and 1 forced fumble. Their were 2 interceptions; both made by Tarn White.

Steve Bradshaw: Now let's do everyone's favorite part of this show, and the only reason you watch it in the first place, the highlights.

Ronald Gerrick: 1st quarter, 57ers win the coin toss and elected to differ. The Spartans receive the kickoff and take a 30-yard run. Then it's a 3-and-out from there after an outstanding defensive stand on 3rd-and-inches. 57ers get the ball on the 45-yard line.

Steve Bradshaw: Kapernickle on 3rd and 15, under pressure, he rolls out to his right and fakes the run, throws it to the end zone, Appletree, over THREE DEFENDERS, catches it for a touchdown. 57ers lead in the quarter 7-0.

Steve Bradshaw: 2nd quarter, Spartans with the ball, but not for long. Tarn White picks the ball off in the endzone on a great Spartan drive. Kapernickle gets the ball at the 30-yard line. 2nd and 5, play action, throws a bullet towards towards Luigi Cunningham for a 30 yard reception, 57ers on the 40-yard line. Now, 3rd and 10, toss to the right towards Franky Killer, TRUCKS TWO DEFENDERS, and finally gets tackle on the 10-yard line, 57ers are in the redzone. Finally, Kapernickle throws it to Appletree on a WR screen, takes it in for a touchdown. Amazing drive by the 57ers.

Ronald Gerrick: Now for another amazing defensive stand, 3rd and 2 on the Spartan 45-yard line, Spartans run the ball, BROOKLAND KNOCKS THE BALL OUT, and a huge pile is formed. After roughly 10 seconds, Brookland recovers the ball on the Spartan 40- yard line.

Steve Bradshaw: Kapernickle rushes on the field, only 10-seconds left, no timeouts, calls for a hail mary, CHUCKS IT INTO THE ENDZONE, the ball wobbles out Cunninghams hands and as the ball is about to hit the ground, Appletree goes in for the touchdown.

Ronald Gerrick: No highlights in the second half of the game, other than a Spartan 1-yard touchdown run.

Steve Bradshaw: We'll be right back after these commercials.

Nor' Del Beat in Overtime Thriller
Last night, the Nor' Del Nords lost to the Old Crustville Grinders 27-33 in overtime. This was actually the first overtime game ever in Amateur American Football Association history! Unfortunately, it did not end well. The bad luck began when the Nords' runningback, Jonathan Faulk, was hit by a Grinder's defense-man in the head. For the rest of the game, Faulk was out with a concussion. Upon unofficial review (via the big screen in the stadium) coaches, players, and spectators alike clearly saw that the crown of the Grinder's player hit directly into the neck/facemask area of Faulk. The Nords wanted an Unnecessary Roughness flag but none was given. The officials argued that there were no clear rules on deliberate blows to the head. The Nord's just had to let it go. In the final minutes of the 4th quarter, the score was 27-24, in favor of Nor' Del. On a long pass; with QB of the Grinders, Wayne Saunderss III, targeting WR of the Grinders, Kevin Morales; a pass interference was called. The flag was highly controversial. Many spectators started shouting "You can throw flags on the other team!", and "The zeebs(officials) are deciding the game!", and other, more vulgar comments. Crustville would score a field goal on that drive to tie the game 27-27 and send it to overtime. Crustville won the coin toss and got the ball to start the over time. On the first play, Crustville went with a Hail Mary, or a very long pass. Once again the ball was thrown to Kevin Morales. This time, Nord's CB Omar Coriel was so afraid to be physical that it was almost impossible to defend the pass. Morales was then able to break away from Coriel a win the game for Crustville, 33-27 F OT. The coach of the Nord's was asked what big of an impact does not having Jonathan Faulk make? His reply was, "Faulk is a great all around back. He can break the tackles and turn on the jets when he breaks a big run. Without him, our offence is completely different. Gerald Washington is not an every down back and is our short-yardage "power-back". James Shultz is the speedster of our Half-Backs and runs 100% all the time. This makes him a good 3rd Down back but not an all game back. Clearly, we need Faulk."

The next game for the Nor' Del Nords will be Thanksgiving Thursday Night Football. It doesn't get much better than that!

Sylvan Beach Wumbos Fall to Zenoch, head coach angered at bad calls
Sylvan Beach fell to the Zenoch Wolverines today, and they fall to #2 in the Silver A conference. There was a lot of controversy in this game, but it was an interesting matchup.
Game Highlights

First Quarter Highlights
Zenoch gets the first possession, and they drive to the 18 yard line. After they're stopped, they go for a field goal at the 15, and it's blocked by Logan Burrell! Bobby Mori, a defensive lineman, picks it up and runs it to the 6, but clipping is called. Replays show that it was a reasonable block, but it's still called back, and the Wolverines get the field goal on the second try. Sylvan Beach nearly gets a touchdown, but offensive interference is called. It was a close call, but most of the Wumbo's fans in the stadium were outraged.

Score after quarter one: 3-0 Zenoch

Second Quarter Highlights
Zenoch has the ball, and the Wolverine quarterback throws an 11-yard pass to the tight end, putting them in the redzone. The running back gets to the outside on the next play and gets a 16 yard touchdown! In the final minute of the first half, the Wumbos are able to score a touchdown with around four to five seconds to spare.

Score after quarter two: 10-7 Zenoch

Third Quarter Highlights
The Wumbos get the first possession of the second half. They drive to the 14, until the ball is intercepted after Vinchenzo Rizzo throws an endzone pass. Rizzo, the Sylvan Beach quarterback, is outraged, as a Zenoch defensive lineman clearly hits Rizzo late, a couple seconds after he's let the ball fly. Even after a ton of yelling at the refs and even some fighting between players, nothing is called, and Zenoch scores a touchdown thanks to the interception. On their next possession, the Wolverines hit another field goal from 34 yards.

Score After quarter three: 20-7 Zenoch

Fourth Quarter Highlights
Sylvan Beach drives to the redzone once again it's 3rd and goal, and Kyle Corey runs it in for a touchdown! Wait, of course there's a bad call. Offensive pass interference. It's actually called off by the referee, but he says that Corey didn't make it to the endzone, and spots the ball on the 2, 4th down, the FG is blocked and returned for a touchdown, but the extra point is blocked. On the next drive, the Wumbos are only able to get a field goal.

FINAL: 26-10 Zenoch Wins

Unlike his usual self, the head coach Francis Barres wasn't talking about his team's weak spots, but how stupid the penalties were. "I didn't see one legitimate penalty all game," he remarked during the press conference after the game. "When there actually was a penalty, they missed it. And it's not like we got these penalties before we reached midfield. These were game-changing situations. It didn't just happen with us, either. There were some pretty bad calls on the Wolverines as well."

OT Thriller in Port Nor' Del

NOR' DEL -- WR Kenny Morales has been coming through for the Grinders recently, as he once again was Saunders III main target. His TD for 67 yards was the game winner for the Grinders, as Nords CB Omar Coriel played too passively against the pass. Dan Stevenson had this to say: "I am so damn proud of our team, we pulled through when we were down. Brian, damn that guy can kick. Wayne threw some bullets out there today, and holy shit, Morales is en fuego lately. Our team is pumped for our next match on Thanksgiving! Have a damn fine time with yo friends and family, and don't forget to watch the Grinders win the next match, baby!" The SBC announcers were just as excited at the end of the game, with Maxwell Worthy, Joshua Hendrick, Dan Halladay, and Ervin Reynell on the call. Mr. Reynell went crazy during the call, leading to his dialogue to become popular on t-shirts recently.

(OOC: Besides the names being different between the NFL players and the AAFA players, make it 3 years instead of 14.)
