Hello and welcome to the beautiful nation of Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne, here we plan to offer you the greatest services in order to assure that this competition runs smoothly. Around the clock we have a large number of servants ready to cater to your every whim and armed bodyguards to protect you from possible threats. We would like to remind you that any untoward comments towards our esteemed leader, Dahl Öberg, will offend citizens and may invoke outrage by citizen and will result in penalties and possibly even arrest. We have also bugged each room during your stay, to assure we do not meet with any terrorist action that has been rife in other Esportivan Nations as of late. We also have to warn you that to step off designated paths and to leave designated rooms when told not to is dangerous and will also be met with swift action. Members of the media will be welcomed with open arms, but only to comment on the sporting event at hand. Any other publications or stories are strictly forbidden. For a full list of our laws they are available, along with a Print Out at http://www.tourism.gov.ad/laws

With all the rules and regulations out the way, let us talk about the history of Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne in the sporting world. Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne is falsely accused of telling her people that they have never lost a sports game. We are here to assure you that Aiz-Dorne has indeed never won a sporting title in their long history but are constantly striving to improve. We showed expressed interest in hosting the Campionato Esportiva for two reasons, to make amends for our actions that led to the 'Ocean-Stalemate' and also to improve as a football identity. This is why we had two Golden Stadiums created within our capital of Sunspear, a photo of the Northern Stadium, the Golden Eagle, is shown above.

Format & Groups:

We wish to thank all of the other 31 Nations involved for trusting within Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne in the coming months and promise not to let you down. ROSTER:

New to creating a roster, here's two important pieces of information. You can use a Style Mod, which 'affects' your style of play but does not change results. A Style-Mod of -5 is equal to a highly Defensive team while +5 is equal to a highly Offensive team with every number in-between having a similar representation. (0 being neutral)

Secondly, is RP Permissions, which are pretty self-explanatory. For a basic idea, use this outline below:
RP Permissions:
Choose my goalscorers: Y/N
Godmod scoring events: Y/N (A Godmod is an event that is outside the realms of normal play you'd expect inside a football match. I.E. A meteorite crashing into earth, using the shockwave to pummel the ball into the net)
RP injuries to my players: Y/N
Godmod injuries to my players: Y/N (See Godmod scoring events)
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Y/N
Hand out red cards to my players: Y/N
Godmod other events: Y/N

Bastiaan football is defensive and physical, with physicality being preferred over skill. As a result, teams tend to be more defensively minded, with a large number of defenders (up to 6!) and no more than one striker being fielded. This tactic is aimed to give as many clean sheets as possible, with a draw being seen almost as honourable as a win in the eyes of many from Cape Bastion. Strikers often tend to be the most skilful, as a result of them being unsuited to dishing out the physicality of the defenders, and there are very few as the game in Cape Bastion likes to promote defenders over attackers.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events Y
Roleplay injuries to my players Y
Godmod injuries to my players N
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players Y

NEW SIDEBURN
Preferred Formation:
4-4-2 diamond
Style Modifier: 0
Playstyle: Low on possession, but high on pressure, with fast play and short passing. Generally reliant on a stereotypical 'big guy/fast guy' strike partnership. Very physical, quite pacy.
Kit Supplier: Kirola
Nickname: The Cormorants

New Sideburn’s national side have made their mark on the national scene and are feeling pretty bloody smug about it. Having shoved aside all competitors in their bloodthirsty conquest of the 51st Baptism of Fire, they proceeded to impress at the World Cup Qualifiers (with a respectable nine wins) before making it to the second round in the Cup of Harmony. They strut around like the coolest cats on the block, and they feel they’ve earned that right. Enigmatic bastard manager Gethin Ramsey has stuck to the same core of the squad as won him so much acclaim last time. New Sideburn’s training regimen follows a strict diet of beer and bar snacks, with the lads reluctant to partake in and indeed more than a little suspicious of ‘sports science’. New Sideburn is generally accompanied by its … rigorous support. They are loud and like to start fights, but are generally pretty matey when you get to know them.

Honours
Champions of the 51st Baptism of Fire.

First Team
GK - 1 - Portia THRIFT
RWB - 2 - Anna SHRIKE
RCB - 3 - Lukas STRONGNESSE (c)

My opponent MAY
Choose my goalscorers (Strongnesse takes penalties, Oakwood takes corners and direct free-kicks)
RP injuries to my players (maximum one, and not more severe than 'out for the rest of the cycle')
Hand out yellow and red cards to my players (maximum one red every two games, unlimited cautions within reason)

My opponent MAY NOT
Godmod scoring events
Godmod injuries
Godmod other events

Gethin RAMSEY - 54
Ramsey terrified strikers all over the country as a merciless midfield enforcer playing for the Chenoworth Rovers, playing that role from 19 to 37, before going on to terrify his own team managing them. Four years of shouting death threats later, the Rovers had been hauled out of the First Division and into safety in the Premiership. A year later, he was managing the national side, traditionally seen as a thankless task beating up local Serenes neighbours and trying to upgrade perilously close 4-0 wins into merely underwhelming 9-0 ones. Eleven years in, and he’d spent enough time demanding reform that the NSFA finally relented, and joined the WCC to compete on the global level. Charismatic, determined and utterly ruthless, loved by fans and... viewed with a certain fondness by the players, Ramsey’s successes continued, and he has no intention of stopping here.
1 - Portia THRIFT - 33 - Crisisbless
Some say Thrift is a specialist at saving penalties, but most tend to agree that Thrift is a specialist at saving everything. While not the tallest at 180 cm, making corners a relative weak point, she nonetheless combines agility, positioning and intellect. She has proven... somewhat inconsistent for the national team, her best run of form happening around the ‘minor blip’ of a 7-0 defeat, but she’s still proven herself to be the best around.

12 - James TURNSCREW - 31 - AFC Treason
A true defensive general who almost never concedes to a free kick, though his towering frame certainly helps that. James Turnscrew has won a title for his club, and his only weakness appears to be his absurd moustacheless chinstrap beard.

20 - Kurtis FITZMARTEN - 26 - Sabrefell Athletic
Another former title-winner, Fitzmarten has been pretty chipper about his assignment as third choice goalkeeper in five straight tournaments. “I’m really just thrilled to be here at all,” he admits. He definitely has what it takes, though, and despite a somewhat ropey season with Athletic in 329 he’s never far from his ridiculously agile best.
2 - Anna SHRIKE - 25 - Crisisbless
Right Wingback

Anna Shrike is the redemption story of last cycle’s World Cup Qualifiers. A chunky, entirely one-footed, slightly absent-minded wingback, she spent the first half of the qualifiers being, in the words of most fans, ‘fat and crap’. And yet her remarkable comeback finds her in form that has stayed with her; finally, she’s blossoming into a complete player who is actually capable of going back to defend, and in her current form she’ll threaten any defence and thwart any attack.

3 - Lukas STRONGNESSE (c) - 37 - Sabrefell Athletic
Centre-back

Strongnesse is the reliable, mild-mannered, honourable veteran captain of club and country, cool-headed penalty taker with four titles to his name and a nearly spotless disciplinary record and I say nearly spotless because Lukas Strongnesse once tried to mutilate the Prince of Saintland because he found his political views objectionable. New Sideburn, in the full spirit of sportsmanship, turned this into an annual trophy to contest between the sides. While his body has let him down more than once, his mind (almost) never fails, and he is still the best man in defence they have.

4 - Cathy STOKES - 22 - AFC Treason
Left-back

Cathy Stokes is only getting better and better with time. A highly rated prospect whose ability appears to be bearing out, highly intelligent and highly mobile, and though she lacks strength her persistence and willpower are commendable. She’s almost like a terrier, relentlessly hounding anyone who tries to pass her by.

5 - Rook HARM - 34 - Crisisbless
Centre-back

Every team needs someone capable of utterly pulverising the opposition’s most fancy, prone-to-diving, overpaid wanker, and willing to give him a good kicking when the ref’s looking the other way. Rook Harm is that man. A latecomer to the sport, Rook spent his late teenage years moonlighting as a bouncer as he went through the academy, and rather admirably married his experiences in both during his playing years. Oh, and don’t mistake his straightforward nature for stupidity. He’s an excellent defender with a remarkable instinct, and nobody knows better than him how to make a fair, or at least fair-looking challenge.

13 - Leila CORVETTE - 23 - Sabrefell Moths
Left Wingback

Leila Corvette overcame dodgy lungs to play football, and while her stamina isn’t the best she’ll run like hell every match, the first to move up in attack and the first to dash back in defence. Her ball control can’t always quite keep up with her acceleration, but she can still pinpoint a corner exactly where the goalkeeper doesn’t want it to go.

17 - Maria STOUT - 36 - Maximum City
Right-back

Unmistakable with her dreadlocks, Maria Stout is an utterly fearless defender with an almost uncanny ability to take the ball without the man. While her body can let her down sometimes, and she’s less able to act in attack than she used to be, she can still power a header straight to the net if you give her half a chance.

22 - James YORKE - 21 - Sabrefell Moths
Centre-back

Youthful, talented. Level-headed; rarely gives away a foul, rarer still is he carded. Always attentive, too, rarely makes unforced mistakes. And running, always running, a tireless bastion of industry. He's still young and still improving, but if you’ve already won two titles at this age you’re probably doing something right.
6 - Lucia OAKWOOD (vc) - 30 - Crisisbless
Defensive Midfielder

Oakwood’s never been the fastest, nor the strongest. But if you want a holding midfielder who can shadow a man like nothing else, who can take back the ball and feed it into a counterattack as soon as you can blink, it’s her you want at your side. She is deadly accurate with a dead ball, though she more often aims for Gerhard’s head than for the goal. Oakwood has been capped in, and has in fact started, every one of New Sideburn's 34 WCC-approved international matches, captaining one and scoring twice.

8 - Grant BEARDSLEY - 32 - Parrhesia United
Right Winger

The talisman of his team, Beardsley may as well have a stump for a right foot. Wouldn’t make much difference with how good he is cutting inside and striking in with the left. He scored perhaps the goal of the tournament to win the Baptism of Fire, before finally his connection with Anna Shrike began to click and the two became unstoppable down the wing. Beardsley went on to score the national side’s first hattrick. On his day, then, Grant Beardsley can carry the team, and with Parrhesia’s remarkable 5th place finish you had better believe he is in his stride.

10 - Dale BRIGHTLEY - 23 - Basin Plain (United Gordonopia)
Attacking Midfielder

Brightley used to be somewhat cocky and immodest, but those days are, mercifully for his teammates, behind him. Now hardened by one of the best leagues in the world, Brightley is complete in his role, unselfish but able to take chances when they come, and deadly fast. He’s the first player of international note to move to a club outside the Isles of Serenes, and he’s doing his country proud.

11 - Cheney ROSEWOOD - 27 - Sabrefell Moths
Left Winger

Whether it’s cutting inside or crossing, inswinging or outswinging, Rosewood’s up to the task. Despite an obnoxious soul patch, Rosewood’s feet are almost magical, the ball seemingly glued to them when he runs, and he runs faster than most to start with. While he isn’t skilled at covering his tracks in defence, he is nonetheless the shining individual talent within the team.

16 - Pavel IRONCLAD - 25 - Sabrefell Athletic
Central Midfielder

Sullen Pavel Ironclad makes teams around him come alive. He lead Athletic to victory at the age of 23, and while there may not be a space for him in the starting eleven there simply isn’t a playmaker anywhere near his calibre elsewhere in the country. His first cap took until the final of the Baptism of Fire in a daring switch to 4-2-4, and it changed the entire course of the game.

18 - Tarquin HADDINGS - 24 - Brookford Otters
Defensive Midfielder

Why Haddings, many ask, when the veteran Dacia Mountain is available? Tarquin Haddings managed to anchor the Brookford Otters to success all season, so no wonder his talent is noted by many. While definitely an understudy to Lucia Oakwood, he will not hesitate to pick up the ball should it be required. His talents lie more in his pace and physicality and ever-chasing nature, however, and though sometimes his overenthusiastic nature leads to easy free kicks, he’s shown himself to be worth it if he can rein in his enthusiasm.

19 - Karelline CHARMWELL - 25 - Sabrefell Athletic
Attacking Midfielder

Charmwell guards the ball at her feet like mothers guard their children. She passes unselfishly, takes her own opportunities when they come and occasionally shows flashes of brilliance, though her role trends more towards reliability than erratic genius. You can rely on Charmwell to do her duty, and she’ll calmly execute it just as competently every single day.

21 - Ella BRAMWELL - 26 - Rhagant Schadenfreude
Right Winger

Ella Bramwell, the talisman behind her team's continued survival in the top leagues. She's easily the best with an outswinging cross you'll find, though she's immensely talented on her own, as well. Despite many clubs clamouring for her services, claims she will stay with Rhagant as long as they avoid relegation. Rhagant’s supporters understandably are jubilant at this, on account of her presence is essentially what is causing Rhagant to avoid relegation.
7 - Gerhard THUNDER - 28 - Sabrefell Moths
Striker

Tall and broad-shouldered, Gerhard seems like he fits the mould for just another plodding target man. Unfortunately for defenses, he is far more than that, able to control the ball remarkably well on the ground as well, shoots with real venom and he even fits the mould for a Sideburnese forward in that he’s able to dispossess the opposition fairly well. Pace is a weak point, but perhaps his only one.

9 - Alicia SCABBARD - 26 - Crisisbless
Striker

Short, lean and sickeningly talented, Scabbard runs like a cheetah and fires stunning shot after shot. While her technique is superb, her composure sometimes can be found wanting, and she’s certainly not the strongest striker in the world. That said, she’s fiercely tenacious, immensely skilled and sometimes proves simply untouchable in possession. She’s unselfish, too, and knows when someone else has the better chance at the goal.

14 - Barry KEARNEY - 28 - AFC Raven River
Striker

Strapping, boisterous, unsubtle Barry Kearney still plays like a 19-year old. Fast, strong and skilled, just don't expect him to follow through on any deep plans; he plays in the moment. Gets caught offside a lot, but his bashful, overenthusiastic nature makes him impossible to hate. His energy lends him a certain super-substitute quality, and the ability to breathe fresh life into a stalemate.

15 - Tara LOCKDOWN - 25 - AFC Treason
Striker

A lanky striker with blue-dyed hair, Tara Lockdown seemed a questionable choice for last cycle but seems to really make sense in light of last season, as she headed Treason’s second-half comeback to finish an underwhelming but respectable seventh. This season unlocked her potential as a slow, but breathtakingly resilient forward, able to hold up possession in her hands while the rest of her team rushes upfield for seemingly forever in what fans have affectionately dubbed ‘Tara Time’. Great in the air and a decent shot, though more of a goal-poacher than anything.

23 - Molly KEYNES - 27 - North Laithland
Striker

While the Hares may be a tepid, tedious outfit on the pitch, particularly on the offensive, when you score around 66% of their goals you tend to attract a certain deal of attention. It came to North Laithland to break out their infinite money and snap her up in a neat bit of business, and it should pay dividends. While not particularly tall (6’1”) Keynes is rather stocky, very hard to outmuscle and leaps like a salmon to connect to crosses with the slightest of touches, just enough to guide it into the net.
1 - Portia Thrift (Crisisbless)
12 - James Turnscrew (AFC Treason)
20 - Kurtis Fitzmarten (Sabrefell Athletic)

2 - Anna Shrike (Crisisbless)
3 - Lukas Strongnesse (c) (Sabrefell Athletic)
4 - Cathy Stokes (AFC Treason)
5 - Rook Harm (Crisisbless)
13 - Leila Corvette (Sabrefell Moths)
17 - Maria Stout (Maximum City)
22 - James Yorke (Sabrefell Moths)

6 - Lucia Oakwood (vc) (Crisisbless)
8 - Grant Beardsley (Parrhesia United)
10 - Dale Brightley (Basin Plain)
11 - Cheney Rosewood (Sabrefell Moths)
16 - Pavel Ironclad (Sabrefell Athletic)
18 - Tarquin Haddings (Brookford Otters)
19 - Karelline Charmwell (Sabrefell Athletic)
21 - Ella Bramwell (Rhagant Schadenfreude)

7 - Gerhard Thunder (Sabrefell Moths)
9 - Alicia Scabbard (Crisisbless)
14 - Barry Kearney (AFC Raven River)
15 - Tara Lockdown (AFC Treason)
23 - Molly Keynes (North Laithland)

Original nation behind Nephara. New Sideburn now symbolises an ideal, rather than a nation.

Football has a long, but not very organised history of football. first introduced to the natives by Cyborg Dutch settlers. The first team was organised in the middle 20th century, but a lack of leadership and funding from local communities led to the team to ruin. The governor of Cartersburg in 1977, Kim de Jong, wrote in his diary that he saw a group of people playing football in the local park and wrote a letter to the head of the Local Council (run by locals) and challenged them to a game of football. The locals put together a team and they played a team of official staff and soldiers. The match was played on Harper Park, which is the proposed site of Harper Park, the national stadium for the football team of Wray. The team, named Cartersburg Locals, lost to the Cyborg Dutch 10-2, but it was a start.

In the late 1990s, the Local Councils in the west of the country established a league of 8 teams, and this will provide the basis for the 12-team Wray First Division. The first team assembled from the best players in the country was formed in 1999, and went on a four month tour of Cyborg Holland along with the Wray Cricket Club, the most prestigious cricket club in the country. The team played 14 games against various select sides and club sides, and they had mixed success. They won 5, drew 4 and lost 5. Striker Alastair (Ali) Henderson and keeper Kieran Ainsley, both 19 on the tour, are both widely expected to start for the national team in the upcoming Campionato Esportiva.

For a regional competition, a large section of Wray fans will attend. Any stand occupied by them will become a sea of green and white scarves, shirts and flags. The fans, known as the Green-and-white Brigade, are noisy and rowdy, and will often partake in pitch invasions in the result of a strong victory. They have a large collection of green flares and plenty of green and white beach balls, as well as a giant Wray flag which is unfurled at the beginning of the match.

NORTHERN SUNRISE ISLANDS CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA 6 ROSTER
THE MARILLS

ImageImage
ImageImage

Could this be the renaissance of the Sunrisians in national team level? Bourbon went through all of the world's leagues to pick-up the finest of NSI in football. Will this new search make the national team flourish in the CE VI?

GOALKEEPERS
#01 - Trent MILLARD (San Jose Sharks - Northern Sunrise Islands)
Millard was a rookie with some prospect when the first Universitarian League rolled around. Obviously, he wasn't taken much seriously, thus making him stay in Northern Sunrise Islands lines, which placed him as a Goalkeeper for the Seaside Wartortles. The Wartortles then noticed they couldn't make much use of the player, so they kept him playing on other teams around the world. Monty Python, Peace of Saint Anne and Jacob, Canondale Bombers, Hermann Aichinger and finally a return to NSI with Afonse Batallion would let him return to the Sunrisian Lands. He stuck with the Batallion, thanks to his great skills as a goalie finally rising from him, which made San Jose Sharks take him under their team. And now he's in the national team.

#12 - Maurício ROSÁRIO (Fluminense - Barra e Janeiro)
Rosário spent little time with the team that drafted him back in the Universitarian League, as San Jose Sharks was still in its way to become a good team in NSI, thus making him go around Unzucneru Association. While he wasn't a hit at some teams, he eventually found fortune when Barra e Janeiro's Fluminense gave him a call. He became a hit, almost becoming a Barrian to represent the country at a Cuppet or something like that. However, Bourbon remembered of him and brought the Aranha Negra for the Marills.

#32 - Mellody SIOUX (Armée de la Déesse - Kitsunia-Deesse)
A Nekonian, Mellody Sioux played for Kitsunia-Deesse during the years that nekonians were not allowed at the Sunrisian Football Leagues. Mellody is actually pretty good, giving Armée de la Déesse all they need to survive well in the Ligue 1 and in their appearences at Rushmore
tournaments.

SIDEBACKS
#02 - Justin REDWING (Koberhausen 13 - Flock Nation) [CAPTAIN]
Redwing may have changed teams, as Koberhausen decided to give a good sum of money for the talented left-winger of Bayer Rossenwulf, but is still a big player in Flock Nation and an important name for the Marills. He still remembers of the Lavonia war, which gave him a scar near his left eye. Normally with a red headband to remember of the Foreurs, which were the team that drafted him back then, Redwing is a captain with rights.

#05 - Anthony HAWK (Minigoleada - Dainer)
The Hawk, The Kid. Anthony Hawk has made himself a decent cult of fans in Dainer with Minigoleada as the Foreigner who shines in the strong nationalist squad of Minigoleada. A loyal player to the Marills, Hawk made his best to continue in the task of becoming a great right-back.

#13 - Andressa DE SOUZA (Lynder Frosslasses - Northern Sunrise Islands)
A perfeccionist, Andressa is close to her good old friend Larissa, who plays at Neuville, not too far from Lynder. While small, she is as fast as possible and tend to have a great outsider look in the field. A good way to tick her, back then was to miswrite her surname as DE SOUSA, which related to Francisco de Sousa, a forward player.

#14 - Larissa SOUZA (Neuville Scythers - Northern Sunrise Islands)
A lunatic, but nice person. Playing together with her old highschool friend Andressa, Larissa is a decent player at her position, hardly giving up the ball. Was kept due to her decent array of skills.

CENTERBACKS
#03 - Netto HIKARI (Augusta - Darmen)
He was a loan coin back when he was in NSI, but no team ever noticed that he was a great player. Augusta did, and brought him with them for some football. As you might have guessed, he is another uprising player with enough skill for the Marills.

#04 - Yolanda MCFLEMMING (Acropolis - Dainer)
A strong and experienced player in the defense, McFlemming was originally born in New Capitalia, but her old country was added to the Sunrisian Territories, thus making her a Sunrisian. She's debuting at any national team, either from New Capitalia or from Northern Sunrise Islands.

#15 - Pippi MANGALONGA (Northern Stars - Felix)
The younger sister of Iau, Pippi is probably one of the most hidden talent of Northern Sunrise Islands to be featured in the roster. Sent by her original club, the Matthew City Senators to the Northern Stars, a team that works as a farm team in Felix, the younger Mangalonga has
also four brothers and seven sisters that are still developing to possibly play soccer. Could the Mangalongas become a family enshrined in the Sunrisian Football?

#16 - Natsu HANEKAWA (Project +90 - Northern Sunrise Islands)
A full-length handy player, Hanekawa plays strongly like Tom McCloud, as both of them can easily can fit in any position, thus becoming a very required player in the national team. She's still in the Project +90, but has enough skill to try for an international team.

MIDFIELDERS
#06 - Tom "Starfox" MCCLOUD (Colonial Sile - Vilita)
Son of two of the most condecorated officials at Sunrisian Air Force, the older McCloud of the recent generation was strongly considered after seeing how good this kid is as an all-around player. Also, playing in Vilita gets you this far in Sunrisian National Football.

#07 - Iau MANGALONGA (Jenipapa - Dainer)
The Princess of the midfield, this white haired nekonian has become the blue chip of the team, playing inside Dainer, Mangalonga has not disappointed her colleagues in the Daineri team, winning a title on her debut at the league. While her past may be quite dark for
commoners, the future shines in the eyes of this young girl.

#08 - Guillermo DI LUCA (Montfort Wanderers - Licentiapacisterra)
A solid player, this young blonde hasn't disappointed in the cyan-and-gold land, showing decent reason of why he is still around in the Marills' squad. Acts as the vice-captain.

#10 - Namine NAGATOMO (Issington FC - Apox)
The dazzler, the one that started playing street football before stepping up to the grass pitch. Nagatomo is techincally experienced, having spent her teenager years in the concrete pitches of Mardi as a street footballer who would later earn a lot with that image. Then, out of her upcoming 19th anniversary, she would make the trip to one of NSI's biggest rivals, Apox, only to become a professional player and have enough money to help her family around. Inspiring and deserving of number 10 indeed.

#17 - Bridgitte LAVAL (La Naranja - Dandillis)
"Hanging around the corner" region-wise and well placed in the bench, Bridgitte has some history in international football that can't be left without notice. A more experienced player, continues with the Marills for the next tournaments.

#18 - Brendan CRAWFORD (Augusta - Darmen)
The Hot Shot in Flock Nation, would later move to Darmen, but will never ever be forgotten by his fans at AZ Avalar and Saint Magdalene United for all his hard work. He has been with the Marills for quite sometime, so no surprises here.

#19 - Harley "Quinn" SMITH (Feardillis' Wanderers - Farfadillis)
Harley has went through almost everything a human could even go through, with only around twenty years old! Kinda bizarre, but you have to admit that this madgirl is something totally different from what NSI tends to offer in their national team. Not even the best tactician can put her locked, so good luck for the opponents with her.

#20 - DUDA (Augusta - Darmen)
Techinically an experienced player, but new to the Marills. He tend to play the tutor role for Crawford and Hikari, who play with him at Darmen, but Marcos Eduardo knows what he's talking off. Considerably, a legend at Andarahy, he wants to show what he's capable off in the sets of the World. And Augusta is joyfully helping him do so.

FORWARDS
#09 - Christie TRAVIS (Matthew City Rangers - Northern Sunrise Islands)
Born in Osarius, easilly taken as another child of the land in Matthew City, Ms. Travis has one of the best shooting ranges of the forwards of the national team and is rising consistantly with the Marills. The brunette has also been given, finally, the captain position at the Rangers and could easilly challenge Redwing for the position.

#11 - Mateus CARVALHO (Bartholomew FC - Boring Paradise)
Back in the old days, Carvalho was considered a blue chip. Now, at Boring Paradise, he is slowly developing to what people said he should become. Versatile player and onipresent (at least that's what we hope he is) during all ninety minutes.

#21 - Melina PATIY (Minigoleada - Dainer)
Patiy was one of the first players to ever leave the (back then) Protetorate of Northern Sunrice for the outside world, in this case, the nation of Dainer. While not really the greatest success inside the dragon-born country, she is a solid player, thus becoming a good reserve for the team.

#22 - Louise MONTBLANC (Altomare - Felix)
A graduate from Project +90, Montblanc enters the national team as a blue chipper that could become another diamond if well worked. She's now with Altomare from Felix and could have a hard time playing against her comrades from Northern Stars.

COACH
Lynette Bourbon (Matthew City Rangers - Northern Sunrise Islands) [+1,5]
The coach of the team, considered a smart woman for getting NSI at a better place than what was expected for them all along. While she doesn't know whether the future is shining for her or not, Bourbon is slowly maturing to be a good coach and could raise some eyebrows in the next tournaments.

The Tyrrinian National Football Team

With football being very unpopular on the mainland right now, the nation’s Esportivan colonies have decided to wrangle together a national team to send to the Campionato Esportiva. These guys are hardy, tough, and not willing to take a loss lightly. They are hardliners, a throwback to the values of the old Tyrrinian Empire. Try not to offend them, and especially do not make references to sexual acts with horses! Being a new squad, they are very undisciplined. In fact, no managers were found who would be willing to take on the team, so they will be entering the tournament in a somewhat leaderless state.

Campionato Esportiva: Our First

By: Thomas Abramsson

Here we are, in our first Campionato Esprotiva, we are in Group H, which consists of great teams such as Northern Sunrise Islands, Dandillis and Estope. Our team is very talented one, players such as Mikel Abaroa and Ji Iseul Kwan are the reason why this team is dangerous. The head manager of this team is named Daniel Cardona, former manager of Santa Maria City. We currently don't have any info on who we are facing next but here is a little bit of information from the following teams. Northern Sunrise Islands, ranked 6th in Esportiva and has a "farm team" in Felix, the Northern Stars, which consists of Sunrisese immigrants. Their team is enormously talented and has some of the best players in the world. Louise Montblanc forward from Altomare, will be in reserve for the NSI team. When we face them, we expect our players to play their best to have a chance to win. The next team on the list is, Dandillis ranked 15th in Esportiva and another strong team in this group. They have a dangerous set of players and just like NSI, Felix must play well in order to win or tie. And last but not least, Estope, which is ranked 29th in Esportiva is offensive minded team with players like Travis Barria and Jacob Lawrence. They will be a challenge to our 3-4-3 formation as the have a more defenders with a 4-4-2 formation. We hope that we can pull a upset against them.

Now, let's move on to the interview section of this report. I was honoured to interview Daniel Cardona, head coach of the Felix national team. The interview consisted of many topics, such as politics in football, his career as club manager, and his exceptions in this edition of the CE.

Abramsson: "Hello Mr. Cardona."
Cardona: "Hello."
Abramsson: "And we are here, in Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne. What's it like here?"
Cardona: "Interesting, to say the least. I have to admit that this is, a big change from Felix. Which, the government [of Felix] is more... Liberal."
Abramsson: I laugh, "Watch what you say Mr. Cardona."
Cardona: He Laughs.
Abramsson: "Ok, next question. How did you get your job?"
Cardona: "Ah, well I got it a year ago, when Felix founded it's national football team. I was one of the top candidates, and I have to be honest, I didn't think I would get the job."
Abramsson: "How so?"
Cardona: "Well I faced against greats, such as Antonio Leggièri of Altomare, Arturo Gerardo future head coach of Santa Maria City and young stars such as Ulrich Gerig of Sporting Volker."
Abramsson: "Ah, true. So I assume you did well in your interview?"
Cardona: "If I didn't, I wouldn't be here, now would I?" He laughs.
Abramsson: I laugh, "Of course. Next question, what do you expect from your team?"
Cardona: "Hm, tournament wise? Maybe out of group stage or at least third, I mean we are facing the likes of NSI and Dandillis. Game wise? Very well, we have a good group of men and I expect nothing but the best from them."
Abramsson: "Ah. Another question, what is your most dangerous player?"
Cardona: "Hmm, I have to say... Mikel. He is a great shooter. And is dangerous on the pitch. Now, we have a bunch of other good players and I shouldn't discredit them, as I said earlier we have a good group of men."
Abramsson: "Mikel, great forward. Last question, how's the life at home?"
Cardona: "Wonderful. My son Miguel and my daughter Lisa are doing well at football, Miguel getting a start in the youth team for Santa Maria City and Lisa getting a start in the youth team for Universidad de Santander, a team that will play next year in the Felix Champions League."
Abramsson: "Great, and how's your wife?"
Cardona: "Taking care of those little kids of mine." He smiles.
Abramsson: "Nice. Well it's been a pleasure, talking to you."
Cardona: "Same, Mr. Abramsson."

Let's talk about the national team, yes? Here is the Felixan National Squad.

Formation: 3-4-3

Style: +2

We have (as Daniel Cardona said) a talented group of men, we have players of like Ziya Saqqaf, a good player that assists in a lot of Mikel Abaroa's goals at Santa Maria F.C. We also have Yun Dong Lee of Sporting Volker, number 2 in most goals in the Champions League and assists in a lot of Sporting Volker's goals. And then we have the midfielders, Ji Iseul Kwan of Sporting Volker is the second best assister in the Champions League with a total of 7 assists. Kwan is known for his centering of the ball and his skill at corner kicks. Another great midfielder is Felix Pier of Oceania, a experienced man that knows how to handle a ball and can pass very well. Now let's look at our defenders, Aloysius Blau of Sporting Volker is a young, talented player that scored one goal in the Champions League and is very skilled at heading the ball. He is strong and for what he lacks in speed he has it in his defensive positioning skills. Manuele Provenza of Altomare is a great, great player with a stealing ability that is unmatched with other players from both Altomare and Felix overall, but he does have a problem with yellow cards, earning three which is the most in the Champions League. Last but not least, the goalkeepers. Tryggve Klemens of Dusseldorf F.C is a great goalkeeper that knows how to block and catch shots, from both close and far range. And he is surprisingly fast and can catch up to some of the fastest players if caught off guard. Viggo Tyko of Cato, is a legendary goalie for his team, second best in clean sheets in the Champions League.

Our first match is on the 13th of May, 2009. Be sure to watch it! And also watch the U-21 National Team play today! That's all from us on The National, good luck to all the teams and may you read this series next week! Farvä´l!

And now, long after the Renaissance Cup fell apart (we still blame Apox for that), Chrovan's National Team is ready to make its debut.

Coach: Jules Easton. What many in Chrovan would refer to as a 'World Traveler', in reality he's vacationed in a handful of other Esportivan nations. Chrovanians don't get out much. He was selected mostly due to his familiarity with both football and international football, having been his school's premier striker back in the day and having watched in-person the last few Campionatos as well as the Fifty-Sixth Cup of Harmony in Apox. With his history as a front-man, he enjoys attacking football, playing about a +4.25 on a scale of -5 to +5. It was his decision to hold open tryouts for this team rather than dipping into the best of Chrovan's amateur football league, as the standard of play there is just terrible. Only time will tell if that was a good decision.
Formation: 3-5-2

Stating XI:
Keeper: Delmar Peck, #1. He's usually good, but when things start to go wrong, they go really wrong.
Left Back: Quincey Booner, #2. A heavy drunkard. He regularly switches between the good kind of physical player and the bad kind.
Center Back: Andrew Law, #3. A fifth-generation lawyer, his family is one of the most respected in Chrovan. He's also quite athletic.
Right Back: Rupert Eustis, #4. A simple turnip farmer. He's a quiet fellow, and very hard working.
Defensive Center: Syd Tolbert, #5. Plays professionally, allegedly. Always changes the subject when you ask where.
Left Wing: Chuck Paddon, #6. A sailor. He's a rather loud fellow, but just as hard working as Eustis.
Center: Marion Steed, #7. A horse raiser. He's gotten quick from having to chase them down.
Center: Brennan Donalds, #8. <Captain> He actually does play football for a living, in Chrovan's amateur league. It's a very amateur league, though. He's won Player of the Year six years running.
Right Wing: Tracey Rimmer, #9. The Chrovan National Orchestra's lead percussionist, and their pickup-football team's captain.
Left Forward: Brenton Smythe, #10. The only player who's contested Donalds for Player of the Year, he usually loses out do to him being on an overall better team (whereas Donalds carries his entire team by himself).
Right Forward: Donovan Jacobson, #11. He can kick really, really hard.

Bench:
Keeper: Daryl Ingram, #12.
Defender: Nicholas Michael, #13.
Defender: Delbert Lawson, #14.
Defender: Ricki Power, #15.
Winger: Silas Bourke, #16.
Winger: Webster Bishop, #18.
Center: Kurtis Ness, #17.
Center: Bob Traves, #19.
Forward: Willard Bonham, #20.
Striker: Henderson (Mace) Tyrell, #21. The go-to late game substitute; he can make the ball do funny things in the air, and has a penchant for dramatic finishes.

Licentian National Football Team

After a fairly good end to a World Cup qualifying campaign where the Cyan-and-Gold struggled most of the way (and eventually finished third, failing to reach the playoffs), there is at least a little hope for the Licentian Islands in terms of football. With Joachim Schwartz now having time to make a bigger effect on the side, and no Apox competing, the winners of the third Campionato have to be considered the favourites to take home the title in Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne.

Manager- Joachim Schwartz (Polar Islandstates):
Joachim Schwartz has had a World Cup cycle to adapt to his new job on the Islands, and with football fever back on the Islands after a successfully hosted Cup of Harmony, the fans are expecting a top performance at the Campionato. As former winners, the Cyan-and-Gold are expected to make a big wave at a tournament that has seen the only ever Licentian title.

Goalkeepers:

1 – Cameron Ritchie – 33 years – SC Montfort
12 – Clark McDonald - 28 years - AFC Farnworth
13 – Duncan Watson – 30 years – Montfort Wanderers

Full Backs:

2 – Evan Russell – 29 years – Bayern Phoenix (TAE)
3 – Toby Bishop – 27 years – Carrington United
14 – Kevin Boyle – 28 years – Old Corinthians

Centre Backs:

4 – Sam Hill – 23 years – Carrington United
5 – Kyran Stevenson – 30 years – St Bart’s
15 – Dennis Munro – 22 years - Gaels
16 – Grant Ferguson – 22 years – SC Montfort

Holding Midfielders:

8 – Nate Parkinson – 29 years – AFC Farnworth – (C)
17 – Mark McKay – 24 years – Abingdon Celtic

Centre Midfielders:

6 – Ruaraidh Donaldson – 29 years – Abingdon Celtic
10 – Dylan Knight – 35 years – Montfort Wanderers
18 – Ben Black - 26 years – Old Corinthians
19 – Josh Brown – 23 years – Montfort Wanderers

Wingers:

7 – Lewis Naylor – 29 years – Teva FC (UGO)
11 – Jacob Paterson – 31 years – Montfort Wanderers
20 – Jared Anderson – 26 years – Carrington United
21 – Aran Miller – 16 years – SC Montfort

Centre Forwards:

9 – Alexander Keir – 28 years – SC Montfort
22 - Logan Moran – 33 years – Northbrook Diamonds (PIS)
23 – Roddy Dickson – 19 years - Gaels

Formation – The Pythagorean v2/The Hourglass:
A variant on the Pythagorean system used by Schwartz in the Polar Islandstates, the only real difference is that the Cyan-and-Gold system involves two triangles linked together by the holding midfielders, which looks sort of like an hourglass on paper (hence, the name).

Starting Eleven – 1/3-4-5-2/8/7-6-10-11/9

Image Image Image Image

Home Stadium – LTI Stadium:
Montfort, Montfort Parish
The spiritual home of the two biggest sports on the Islands, football and lacrosse, LTI Stadium will host the Cyan-and-Gold’s qualifying campaign as it has for a good few years now. Holding 75,000 screaming Islanders, you can expect a hostile atmosphere when you come to visit Fortress Montfort, as it has become known to the fans.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events N
RP injuries to my players Y, but nothing serious
Godmod injuries to my players N
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players Y, 1 per game, if more, TG me
Godmod other events TG me

Skill Modifier- +1

All ages are correct for the first matchday.
This nation has now been reformed as the Licentian Isles. Please direct anything intended for me to that nation.

The Commune is neglecting to submit a team roster.

Following their miniscule contribution in the war, i.e. making many preparations to invade Apox but never actually doing it, many of their prominent sportspeople defected to Paradystopia (Morgana and Evelyn being two examples who now actually play in the Paradystopi team)

The team they will be fielding are all very similar looking androgynous peoples who are completely devoid of all emotion.

Yes, it's a team of robots ...

ooc: Though I will try to keep up with RPing, there is a good chance that I may not RP with the Commune. Because of this, my opponents are invited to do absolutely anything with my team. Kill the entire team (replacements will be manufactured) if you so wish.

Lonely Multiverse: A comprehensive guide to Wray

Image

Albion

Albion is the second most populous cities in the country, behind Cartersburg, at a population of 6.5 million. Construction on the city was initiated by the Governor of Wray in 1966, as an alternative work place for Wray locals to take the pressure of the rapidly growing, and geographically constrained Cartersburg. People migrated in chunks, with the population and the size of the city steadily rising over the last 50 years to 6.5 million today.

Set at the edge of the Silver Forests, and before the onset of the Terrabondante Central Mountains, Albion is in a natural microclimate, meaning that it is not affected by the windchill which affects the rest of the country, and as a result it is warmer on average.

Known for it's two rival Universities Albion Tech. and Albion University, there is a large student population and is a perfect place for younger travellers looking to unwind and generally have a bit of fun. The centre of the city is the financial centre of the country, with Albion tower being the tallest building in the country.

Albion is not the most popular cities for tourists due to its Student ways and modern-design, but LM has done extensive scouting to find the very best that this new city has to offer.

Access and Transport

Like any major city in the country, access to Albion can be gained via rail, road or plane. Flights from New Amzterdam take around 5 hours, whilst a connection can be caught from Cartersburg which takes around 2 hours. Albion Station is the home of Wray Rail, and has links to and from almost every town and city in the country. The drive from Cartersburg, a favourite from tourists, crosses the central plains and then through the Silver Forests, known for its pristine views. The drive takes around 4 and a half hours along the 40M, then the 14M. Albion, being a new city (first established in 1966), has a very easy to understand road system, on a grid pattern. The Albion Ring is the road which makes up part of the 14M and circumvents the city. Albion has a monorail system (which can be accessed using the Wray Rail Traveller Card) which offers both panoramic views of the "Shining City" and quick travel through the city and straight into the heart of it.

Accommodation

For business travellers, as most of the visitors to the city tend to be, tend to lean towards the hotels in the centre of the city. Albion Central Grovesnor is the favourite of businessmen the world over. Over 500 rooms on the first 20 floors of the New Tower, the hotel is just minutes away from the Albion Conference Centre and Ormond Plaza, the main banking and business plaza. From just P75 a night, and with a six conference rooms and complete business centre, this hotel is ideal for business. For tourists looking for a holiday, there are two big options: one in the heart of the city and one outside deep within the Silver Forests. The Castle Albion Hotel looks just like another one of the tall terraced houses on Marshall Grove, but the words Castle Albion Hotel in glazed bronze. Inside you will find a tastefully lit and decorated reception area, attended by charming local staff. There are 20 rooms in the hotel, and they go for P100 a night, but it is worth it. Wide, spacious rooms with every amenity needed. Underground there is full car-parking facilities, which in Albion is quite a plus, and a full spa. The restaurant, Castle Grill, is a family-friendly restaurant with a wide menu. The Silver Forests Lodge is shrouded by thick trees, and leaves guests wondering where the hotel is as they pull up the drive. But the trees clear and reveal a beautiful 19th century country residence. Once belonging to the Prince of Cyborg Holland, this elegant mansion was converted into a hotel 12 years ago. If you can't stay here (the P120 a night price-tag might put some off), then you should at least take a stroll through the beautiful gardens.

Food and Drink

As aformentioned, the Castle Grill is a friendly, atmospheric restaurant with meals for lunch and dinner for just P20. In the centre of the city, the international business scene is very present as there are several different cuisines available. A former Tyrinnian businessman-turned-chef has opened a restaurant which serves all of his national delicacies in a classic setting in the Tyrinn Restaurant. LM recommends the Albion Street Market, which takes places every friday and sunday night, where you can just walk up to a stall and buy yourself a leg of mutton or a bacon sandwich. You can meet and talk to both locals and tourists at the market, as there are a number of long tables where you can sit and watch the evening go bye. If you're willing to drive a bit for your dinner, then you can find 20 minutes out of town, the Restaurant 1852. This large open-plan dining room serves almost every food imaginable, from hearty roasts to thin vegetable consomes. Try the Minted Lamb and New Potatoes for just P30.

Culture and Entertainment

Despite being a city known for its business and banking, there is still a fair bit of culture to be enjoyed. The largest art gallery in the country is the Albion Museum of Fine Art, where you can see over 4,000 paintings, sculptures and other artisitic pieces. The Ormond Plaza is home to all manner of performing street artists, and in early June (dates vary) you can see the Albion Festival of Performing Arts, where performers come from all over the region converge on the city for a week of street art, theatre and comedy. The Roundabout is the most famous comedy club in the country and is located just off Ormond Plaza. There are performances by the country's top comics almost every night, and the Roundabout Bar is a great place to relax and enjoy a cocktail afterwards.

Activities and Shopping

The Silver Forests provide all the activities that any outdoorsman/woman will ever need. Similar to the Forest and Lake National Park (see Nelson's Bay), one can do anything from walking and hiking to climbing. Down the Silver river, you can take part in one of the many water-sports available, from canoeing (A Wray national favourite. Watch out for Blair Hamilton & Brendan Overton in the next Olympics) to white-water rafting. The Silver Caves are also something that should not be missed. A 4.3 mile underground system of caves can be enjoyed on a guided walk, or for the more adventurous, you can try a Caving expedition (lasts 5-6 hours). For shopping, look no further than Ormond Plaza. Hundreds of shops line the busy plaza, with some of Wray's top designer labels having their shops here. The Albion Street Market also sells local goods.

Coach: Our Glorious Leader, Dahl Öberg. The esteemed god among men and founder of New Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne, who wiped away all the sins the nation had burdened herself with and as with every great man, he has a hobby which occupies his spare time among dealing with 'tricky nations' and spreading the one true way forward, Communism. Dahl has also taken control of national football team. Beware that embarrassing our glorious leader could lead to severe sanctions.

Campionato Esportiva is Do or Die for Kellner
by: Jos Karlovik |SNSN
13-April, 2013

Image
National team manager Lukasz Kellner instructs his players from the sideline after during a practicing following the team's dissapointing group stage CoH exit.

Although Lukasz Kellner ha managed the Shadowbournean national squad for just five matches, it is already clear that his fate as national team manager will be determined over the course of the Campionato Esportiva.

Kellner, who was named manager after Xiodong Russo was fired following a second straight failure to qualify for the World Cup proper, has been the official manager for just three matches, all of them CoH draws. His other two appearances as manager came during World Cup qualifiers, during which Kellner managed two impressive one-goal victories over Bears Armed and fellow Esportivians Slembana. Despite the team's unlucky draw into a CoH group of above-average strength, Kellner was still extremely disappointing with the team's group stage exit. The squad drew in all three of their matches; an acceptable result against such international powerhouses as Armed Bears and Legalese, but a disappointing outcome against fellow newcomers Gaveo.

Kellner has made it clear that he will not tolerate such sub-par results; however, his superiors at the National Football Committee have, too. In an interview with SBCsports last week, NFCS chairman Josef Kamanarov was provided his input on the situation: "We will not stand for mere draws; we fully expect to be recording wins, and plenty of them. Any coach that does not meet our admittedly high expectations will have his contract terminated. This is no personal attack on Mr. Kellner, but he is certainly not an exception to the rules. His failures will be treated the same as a failure by any other coach, and the board will take appropriate action to rectify the situation."

When asked if he was upset by Kamanarov's statement, Kellner said, "Not at all. I feel that it just reiterated what I already knew: I will be expected to perform as coach, and I will be expected to do so at a very high level. I am confident in both my team and my ability to coach, and I believe that it is within our ability to not only play at an extremely high level, but to win the tournament."

While only time will tell whether or not Kellner's prediction will ring true, one thing is for certain: if Kellner is unable to rally his team and kick into high gear, his legacy as national team manger will be one of disappointment and failure.

Cutoff. This cutoff will be significantly longer than the others, as I forgot to add the nations into xkoranate beforehand.
