Under 24 hours to final deadline.
Without a response from Barunia, Archer Motorsports GT-TWO will compete with number 197 in GT, and in FH Ashburton will carry number 185, with Souzare's number as 186.
Ashburton will start in GT as Reserve Driver for the No.10 HIEDA Tropicorp S224TZ of Team ten*GU and will thus miss the first round, before moving to First Driver for the rest of the season.

Any registrations after the Final Deadline will be added to the entry lists for the scorination week starting next Monday, November 16.

Alright, same as last year, let me know, I'll participate again.

Alright, same as last year, let me know, I'll participate again.

If you register before 11:59 PM on Sunday (US Eastern), your entries will make their debut(s) in the next scorination week.
Your entries will not be eligible for ballast reduction in the penultimate round as they missed half the season, but they will earn bonus skill rating points for next season by competing in at least one round. Entries registered will be placed on the entry lists until the end of HY174 or withdrawn, whichever happens first. Updating entries every season would normally delay the entry expiration, but it is planned to significantly modify the machine ratings system used in the Mainline and Rally GTScorinators for HY175 onwards.

If you do register, you will be permitted up to two GT2 machines, up to five Rally machines, and for participating in at least one of the two NSFC seasons, one FH entry.

The 14th WGPC's done and dusted, but I have this itch.
An itch that can only be scratched by motorsports scorination.

The scorinators used will be the GTScorinator for the HGTC, the GTScorinator Formula/SC Fork for the Formula Hodori series, and the GTScorinator Rally Edition for the Hodori Rally Championship.

The mainline GTScorinator supports two classes (maximum 32 cars for each class with a combined maximum of 64 cars) and two or three drivers per car, with a stat and skill point system inspired by the NSSCRA and WGPC scorinators. The GTScorinator uses the indicated driver's skills for race scorination, until driver swaps at predetermined points. The Rally GTScorinator supports three 16-car classes and one driver per car, and the Formula/SC fork supports a maximum grid of 48 cars and one driver per car.

Each variant of the GTScorinator allows for Dry or Wet conditions, which can heavily influence a car's lap times and laps completed. Due to scorinator construction, Variable conditions are only available in HGTC and FH races longer than 20 minutes, with only Dry or Wet conditions possible in each Qualifying session. A maximum of 200 race laps can be scorinated in the mainline GTScorinator and the Formula/SC fork, and up to 7 special stages in the Rally variant.

The mainline and Formula/SC fork both allow for and can display the number of scheduled pit stops ('required stops' under IC regulations), but neither displays the number of unscheduled stops.

Cars
Cars will have a number of stat points divided into three or four categories, and are limited to a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 the best. For the HGTC and HRC, the three categories are Acceleration, Handling, and Reliability. For the Formula Hodori Championship, the four categories are Engine Power, Engine Reliability, Tyre Grip, and Tyre Longevity. Specific regulations will be posted in a different post with registration forms.

If an accepted entrant is from a puppet that later ceases to exist, the entry will be removed and slot made available at the end of the season unless the controlling nation refounds the puppet or applies the entrant with their main or another of their puppets. Entries may also be removed by request of the entry nation or known puppet. Entries will also be removed after four seasons of participation, unless an update to the entries or a declaration of intent to continue participation is made before the start of scorination. entries to be removed after their fourth season since last update are marked in the entry lists with asterisks.

Entries by a main nation and their known puppets will be counted as from a single nation. Unless entry limits are waived, using multiple nations to bypass entry limits will, upon the Hodori GT-A gaining knowledge of the relation, result in all relevant entries stripped of all points earned and all puppet entries cleared from the roster.

Drivers and Skills
HGTC: All cars will have two drivers, with an optional third 'reserve driver' for Endurance Races (500km or greater distance).
FH and HRC: All cars will have one driver.

Drivers will have a number of skill points to distribute into four categories plus an Aggression modifier. All skills, including rally terrain skills, and the Aggression stat are on scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible score and 1 the worst for skills and 10 the most aggressive and 1 the least aggressive.

The four skill categories are Sprint, Technical, Endurance, and Wet. Sprint and Technical skills, in conjunction with the car's Acceleration and Handling stats, will determine a driver's base dry conditions time in HGTC and HRC scorination. The Wet skill affects all of a driver's modifiers for wet conditions. For FH scorination, the 'Acceleration' and 'Handling' stats are replaced by Engine Power and Tyre Grip stats respectively.

Aggression determines the variance and thus range of possible times for each driver. A more aggressive driver will be able to achieve faster lap times (99% of the base time with 10 aggression) than a less aggressive driver (99.9% of the base time with 1 aggression), but carries the risk of slower times (110% of the base time with 10 aggression versus 101% of the base time with 1 aggression) as well as an increased chance of a DNF or NC, due to Aggression negatively impacting Attrition rate.

Exclusive to the Hodori Rally Championship, drivers have three terrain skills. All entries will have 16 terrain skill points to be distributed into Asphalt/Tarmac, Gravel/Dirt, and Ice/Snow terrain skills. Unless an international rally round is accepted, assigning points to the Ice/Snow skill is unnecessary.

Specific regulations will be posted in a different post with registration forms.

Numbers
Although specific regulations for numbers less than "3" vary between championship, all classes allow "999" to be the largest number taken. Numbers with leading zeroes will be treated and entered into the scorinator as the same number lacking leading zeroes (i.e., a numberplate reading "093" will be treated, listed, and reported in results as "93"). Numbers of 4 digits or more ("1093" or "8556"), non-integers ("3.14" or "13.5"), and alphanumeric combinations ("TH11", "SWR", or "SA6") are prohibited.

Number "0" is reserved for the defending GT2 Driver's Champion and the defending Rally Sport Champion, as determined by the respective points standings from the previous season. Number "0" is permitted for use in Formula Hodori by the driver replacing the defending Driver's Champion.

Number "1" is reserved for the defending GT1 Driver's Champion, Formula Hodori Driver's Champion, and Hodori Rally Prototype Champion, as determined by the respective points standings from the previous season.

Number "2" is reserved for the teammate of the defending Formula Hodori Driver's Champion. If the Driver Champion's team has only one car, number "2" will not be permitted for use. Number "2" may be freely chosen by HGTC and HRC teams.

Valid numbers will be given as requested to the first valid application for the relevant series, with preference given to teams that have participated and scored points in WGPC or NSFC (with WGPC having priority), then those that have participated and scored points in the previous season in any series over entries that have no prior participation, then to the higher class over lower classes. Applications requesting a claimed number or one vacated by teams using reserved numbers must select a different number.

Numbers 22 and 74 in GT, 16 and 17 in FH, and 767 in HRC are vacated by teams using reserved numbers, and thus are currently invalid.

Qualifying
Both Formula Hodori and Hodori GT Championship will have a qualifying session to determine the starting order for each race. The starting order for Hodori Rally Championship rounds will be determined by lottery.
For Q1, all cars will have one of two primary drivers perform 30km of timed laps, rounded up to the next whole lap to a minimum of three and maximum of nine. After Q1, the top ten in each class will advance to the Super Lap, where either the slower of two or the reserve driver, if allowed by the event, will perform one timed lap. The starting grid will be set based on lap times, with the fastest Super Lap time getting pole position, the second fastest Super Lap given second grid, and so on for the top ten, with all other grids determined by Q1 times. Only the cars with fastest Q1 times within 107% of the Q1 Class Pole will start the race. If cars within the Q1 top ten fall outside the 107%-of-Q1-class-pole cutoff, only the top ten in the class will start.

The primary driver not used for Q1 will be selected as the starting driver (indicated by the bolded and italicised name on the race results). The starting driver, and thus Q1 driver, can be manually overridden for each round, but the scorinator will otherwise automatically select and display which of the two generated the faster Q1 lap.
For Q1, all drivers will perform 40km of timed laps, rounded up to the next whole lap to a minimum of three and maximum of nine. After Q1, the top 14 will advance to Q2, where drivers will attempt to set the best time in 25km, rounded up to the next whole lap to a minimum of three and maximum of six laps. The starting grid will then be set based on qualifying times, with the fastest Q2 time getting pole, the second fastest Q2 time given second grid, and so on for the top 14, with all other grids determined by Q1 times. Only the drivers with Q1 times within 107% of the Q1 pole will start. If drivers within the top 14 fall outside the 107%-of-Q1-pole cutoff, only the top 14 will start.

Championship and Points Scale
Driver pairs (HGTC) or drivers (FH and HRC) will compete for the Drivers Championship, and teams will compete for the Teams Championship (HGTC and FH only). The points scale for HGTC and FH is a modified form of the Japanese Super GT points scale, with the HRC using a modified Japanese Super Formula/Formula Nippon points scale.

Only the top ten classified entries will receive points in the HGTC and FH championships. For the HGTC, bonus team points will be awarded based on laps behind the class leader, with up to three bonus points for finishing on the same lap as class winner. Failure to finish will result in no bonus points awarded.

No bonus point for pole position will be awarded.

Drivers and teams failing to complete 90% of the class or race distance will be classified as "DNF" and no points will be awarded.

The top eight entries in each HRC class will earn points, regardless of finish status. For setting each fastest class stage time, a bonus equal to half a point will be awarded.

Endurance rounds are defined by the Hodori GT-A as rounds with a race distance of 500km or greater. In the HGTC season, there are two endurance rounds; the first is 500km Endurance Challenge and the second is the annual ENSADRINK 1000km. Rounds over 700km will have additional Drivers and Team points awarded. The 305km Formula Endurance Challenge in FH will use the same points scale as the ENSADRINK 1000.

If two drivers or driver pairs have the same number of points, the driver or driver pair with more of higher finishes (wins will be compared, then second place finishes, and so on for finishes of tenth or better) will have the higher rank. If an endurance round of 700km or longer was present on the calendar, then the endurance win will be used as first tiebreaker, followed by regular season points finishes. If ranking still cannot be determined, the driver pair with the earlier best finish will have the higher rank. If ranking still remains undecided, the Hodori GT-A will determine points standings.

Multiple entries in the HGTC will be counted as separate teams for the purposes of Team Standings. Formula Hodori Team Points will be determined by the combined total of points earned by both drivers, if teams register the maximum of two drivers. Team standings will not be recorded for the Hodori Rally Championship.

All drivers or driver pairs and teams registered for events will earn points for applicable championships.

Performance Adjustment Ballast
All championships and classes will use the same Performance Adjustment Ballast (PAB) scale, with 2kg PAB assigned per Driver's Point. For driver that have participated in every previous qualify session (HGTC and FH), or has started all previous rounds (HRC), PAB will be halved to 1kg PAB rounded up per Drivers Point for the penultimate round and removed entirely for the final round. Drivers missing one or more qualify session or start will only receive halved ballast in the final round.

RP and Schedule
As this is a domestic series, RP is not required, but will give a small bonus to modifiers.

I will scorinate on my own time, but I will attempt to keep a regular schedule of Monday - Wednesday - Friday at approximately 3PM US Eastern.

Regular scorinations are planned to start from August 15th. Sadly, there are no international rounds planned for this edition.

Entry Regulations

Postby Hodori Motorsports » Sat Aug 06, 2016 10:37 pm

For the purposes of these regulations, "nations" refers to a user's main nation and all puppets.

MAXIMUM CLASS AND GRID SIZES
A maximum grid size of 16 GT1 entries, 32 GT2 entries, and 45 entries overall will be imposed on HGTC.
A maximum of 24 entries will be permitted for FH.
A maximum of 14 entries per class and 36 entries overall will be imposed on HRC.

TEAM AND DRIVER REGISTRATION REGULATIONS

No new entries will be accepted for GT1. Nations fielding multiple GT1 teams may continue to do so until withdrawing or 'demoting' to GT2 one or both.

New teams registering for the GT2 Class must have two or three drivers per car entered, with an average total driver skill rating between 23 and 25. The maximum total of skill rating points for the first two listed drivers for new entries must total no more than 50. Drivers must have a minimum of 22 skill rating points. New foreign HGTC entrants will be limited to up to two GT2 machines.

Nations currently fielding two GT1 machines and/or three or more HGTC machines across both classes will be permitted to continue doing so until withdrawn. Replacing a team with another will not count as a withdrawl.

Except for those meeting one or more of the following conditions, no new teams will be accepted in Formula Hodori due to entry list size:
  1. Competing in HGTC in GT1 class but not in FH (Allowed one car).
  2. Competed in one or both of previous two NSFC seasons with no current entries in FH (Allowed one car).
  3. As immediately above, but scored as Driver's Champion (Allowed two cars).
  4. Competed in one or both of previous two WGPC seasons with a driver scored within the top 50% of most recent World Driver's Championship with no current entries in FH (Allowed one car).
  5. Scored in top five of most recent World Constructor's Championship and also either meeting one of the first three conditions or currently competing in FH with less than three cars (Allowed one additional car).
New Formula Hodori entrants will be limited to those meeting the conditions above. Because Audioslavia is currently fielding four entrants, they will not be permitted an additional entry as per item 5.
Nations currently fielding teams may continue to do so until withdrawn. Replacing a team with another or breaking teams into smaller single-car operations will not count as withdrawls.

New teams registering for the Hodori Rally Championship must have an average total driver skill rating between 23 and 25 if registering for Rally Prototype, or between 22 and 25 if applying for Rally Sport or Rally Factory classes. New foreign entrants are limited to two machines per class and five machines overall.

Nations may register up to two (additional) drivers as free agents, in which case they must have skill point rating totals equal to 25. Drivers who have competed in on or both of the previous two WGPC seasons (WGPC13 and/or 14) may be permitted additional bonus points; ping me on IRC. Drivers who have competed in one or both of the NSFC seasons are permitted bonus rating points as outlined below.

Drivers have four categories to allocate points, each on a scale of '1' to '10'. The categories are 'Speed' and 'Technical', which directly affect a driver's base time, 'Endurance', which affects the chances of DNF or NC, and 'Wet', which affects a driver's times and endurance in wet conditions. 'Agression' affects the range of lap times and impacts a driver's Endurance, but is not counted in skill rating.

Drivers who have attempted qualifying for or have started at least one championship round in previous seasons will be allowed one additional skill rating point per season of competition, and a further rating point per driver's championship win. Drivers joining Hodoran domestic championships from NSFC will be permitted these bonus points. In the event of a numerical Driver's points tie, all drivers or driver pairs with a points total equal to that of the driver or driver pair deemed to be the champion will earn the bonus rating point. Drivers will be limited to a maximum of 30 total rating points.

Returning teams will only run into skill rating limits in HGTC. Per car, GT1 teams will have a maximum of 80 skill rating points and GT2 teams a maximum of 85. GT1 teams with total skill rating points greater than 75 and GT2 teams with total skill rating points greater than 80 may only field the third driver in 1000km rounds.

Exclusive to the Hodori Rally Championship, all drivers will have Terrain Skill Ratings in three categories; Asphalt/Tarmac, Dirt/Gravel, and Snow/Ice. Terrain Skill Rating points must add up to no more than 16. Should Terrain Skill ratings be omitted with a driver intending to participate in the Hodori Rally Championship, they will be assigned a score of '5' in all categories.

Unless stated on initial registration or updated during pre-season registration, additional rating points earned will be distributed randomly, with bias given to the lowest rated skill.
The process will be repeated until all extra points are distributed.

MACHINE AND PARTS REGULATIONS
HGTC and HRC machines all have three categories determining performance. A machine's 'Acceleration' and 'Handling' ratings determine the base lap time, and roughly represent a machine's pace through straights and corners respectively. The'Reliability' rating represents both a machine's ability to survive the rigors of competition and a general assessment of fuel efficiency.

Formula Hodori uses four different rating categories. 'Engine Power' replaces the Acceleration rating of the mainline and rally GTScorinators, with 'Tyre Grip' replacing the Handling rating. 'Engine Reliability' and 'Tyre Life' replace the Reliability category. New Formula Hodori engines and tyres may be submitted to replace current engines and tyres from the same nation. Otherwise, only nations with teams in HGTC but not in FH may submit engines and/or tyres.

Machines registered for both classes of the HGTC and the Rally Prototype class must have 20 stat rating points assigned. Cars entered in the Rally Sport class must have 17 points assigned, with a minimum of 15, with the same or similar distribution as the Rally Factory model, allowed on registration. If fewer than 17 stat points were assigned to Rally Sport cars, teams may add the remaining number of points to any categories. Rally Factory machines must have 15 stat points assigned, and may not be modified by teams.

Engines and tyres submitted for Formula Hodori competition must have both categories add up to a total of 10.
New machines applying for GT1 homologation must be constructed by a Hodoran manufacturer or by a group based in Hodori. GT1 machines must be of a front-engine rear-drive powertrain using a normally-aspirated V8 engine with a displacement of 3380±20cc producing up to 550PS. GT1 machines must weigh a minimum 1100kg, including lubricating and cooling fluids, engine, driver, tyres, and camera equipment. Non-compliant GT1 machines (Havl's Manetti and any other cars that may fall into this category) that have participated in previous seasons may continue to participate until the end of the season of hodoran Year 174 or withdrawn. Non-compliant machines otherwise meeting power and weight restrictions may be permitted through special exemption at the discretion of Hodori GT-A.

GT2 machines may use either the production vehicle's powertrain or any rear-wheel-drive powertrain, even if the production model is not sold in such a configuration (e.g., FF -> FR, FR -> MR, FF -> MR conversions are permitted). GT2 machines may use an all-wheel-drive powertrain (either conventional or hybrid) only if the production model is sold in such a configuration, with relocating of the engine (i.e. Front-engine AWD -> Mid-engine AWD) prohibited. Machines built specifically for the Hodori GT Championship must weigh a minimum 1100kg, including lubricating and cooling fluids, engine, driver, tyres, and camera equipment, and are limited to a maximum power of 350PS.

Machines registering for GT2 that exceed maximum power but meet minimum weight, such as machines built to GT3 specifications, may be accepted after subjected to balance of performance in the form of air intake restrictors and/or ballast. Machines that exceed minimum weight may be given allowances to run with more power to offset the weight disadvantage.

In an attempt to ICly keep costs down, FH engines and tyres are the same as those used in ENSADRINK GT1. Engines must be normally-aspirated V8s with a displacement of 3380±20cc producing up to 550PS, and must be in use by at least one GT1 entry. Tyres must have radial steel belt, a nominal width of 330mm, a nominal rim diameter of 460mm, and a complete nominal diameter of 690mm, or roughly 330/35R18.

Rally Prototype machines built in Hodori must weigh a minimum of 1100kg and are limited to a maximum of 350PS. Rally Prototype machines do not need to be based on a production model, and are not required to share any components with a production model, but must be road-legal in Hodori.

Rally Sport and Rally Factory machines are required to be based on production models and must share components with the production model. Rally Sport machines are permitted aftermarket aerodynamic, engine, suspension, transmission, and brake parts, as well as removing non-structural parts or replacing of body panels to reduce weight. Rally Factory must identical to the production model except for modifications required for safety (roll cages, polycarbonate windows and windscreens, relocation and replacement of fuel tank with fuel cell, fire suppression system, commercially-available all-terrain tyres, etc.) or are determined by the Hodori GT-A to provide no gain in performance. Removal of cockpit interior trim is permitted to offset the weight of safety equipment.

Team Name is the name that will be listed in team rankings, for the championships that track team points. Machine Name is the name of the car that will be listed in results, and should contain sponsors with the car model suffixed (e.g. 'Arada Izayoi Yasaka' or 'ENSADRINK Tarogama FH170T'). GT and HRC machine names will always end with what is indicated as the Base Machine, while all FH machine names should include the engine manufacturer and must end in 'FH170T'. If the machine name field is left blank for HGTC and HRC entries, the team name will be used. If the FH machine name does not end in 'FH170T', it will be added automatically.

As the first entry, JVM Motorsports is accepted. If it becomes necessary to make space, APEX Racing will be dropped from the entry list.

A few announcements:
Arada Motorsport is willing to offer the second seat for either GT entry to Lauren Ashburton.
Arada Motors/Dekijika Automotive is willing to supply engines to Johanson Motorsport.
After her second season in the WGPC, Sayono Souzare is unsure of her future - immediate and long-term - at Archer and has thus not yet signed for a team in FH.
If Nekoni does not indicate a desire to continue participating by 2359 US Eastern time (0359 UTC, August 15) on August 14, NTR Racing's entries in GT and FH will be removed.
Results newswire thread is open for RPs.

I hope this is mostly right. I added the driver stats, which it looks like aren't needed with the new machine class. I put them in a spoiler, so if you don't need those ratings, they're easy to ignore. If I messed up, let me know how to fix it.

Edit: I initially submitted an engine and tire with this before realizing those were for Formula only.

The ratings are very important. They're what makes the voodoo magic and dark artes within the spreadsheets work.

With VMR, the GT entry list is now at capacity. The next three GT2 entries will be waitlisted. If I hear nothing from Nekoni by next Monday, two spaces will open up, with the third displacing APEX Racing.

The only thing missing here is the machine ratings. As above, they're needed for the demonic rituals that summon the results. Until this is fixed I've given the car a score of '0 across the board.

A snow/ice rating is technically required, but '0' is a valid rating. It just means the driver's pretty much useless on anything at or below freezing.

Crap, of course. Give Terho a 5 6 5 surface skills and i'll sort the car out tomorrow.

Yay another one of these, I'm guessing from the fact that my entry is still listed that I am still in this for another run and don't have to redo it for now. Just say that I am still in or something, heh?

You're still in, until either you decide you want out or if you don't re-register after the end of HY174.

Number 21 is already taken and so a different number must be selected. As Josh Pol's skill rating total is less than the class minimum of 22 (7+4+4+3=18), the entry has been rejected.

Understood. It was nice having you. Perhaps sometime in the future you'd like to rejoin?

The car rating you've applied seems fine by me! Just asking, you've given Terho the 5 6 5 rating right?

I'm in a little bit of a slump at the moment in terms of RP, I'm just taking a bit of time out. Doubtless I will be back once I get my eye in again.

I have. I am admittedly unfamiliar with what the Abovian climate is like, but based on what information I could gleam from your factbooks, I would assume it's much colder than in Hodori, which ICly doesn't get snow barring a severe environmental catastrophe.

Right. I look forward to it.

Added to entry list. To make up for the 1-point deficit to other cars in class, the Polva Rally SL25 has been assigned ratings of 5.5/6/5.5 until specified otherwise.

Some probably important notes, covering the IC race information:
  • All rounds are held on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Qualify and race sessions start at 1500 Hodoran time, with the exception of the Soeshu Motorsports Festival. The 500km GT round should finish by sunset, and the 1000km round will end well past nightfall.
  • Both series running at the Soeshu Motorsports Festival will race on the same weekend, with FH sessions at the normal afternoon time and the HGTC starting at 1900 with the track illuminated by street lighting and the bright headlamps of the GT machines.
  • HRC rounds will have the first three stages on the first day (generally between 40% and 50% of the round distance, but not always the case), with the remainder on the next.
  • To compensate for the teams' only reconnaissance being to have run the route last year, HRC pace notes will be compiled and provided by the governing body (GT Association of Hodori) prior to the round. Teams are permitted to make annotations and other modifications to the supplied notes.

Reposting these from further upthread to ensure they are seen:
Arada Motorsport is willing to offer the second seat for either GT entry to Lauren Ashburton. Their preferred lineup is to pair Ashburton with Nadakei in GT1.
After her second season in the WGPC, Sayono Souzare is unsure of her future - immediate and long-term - at Archer and has thus not yet signed for a team in FH. If Archer does not wish to continue having Souzare on their team, a viable course of action is to have one of the GT or HRC drivers pulling double-duty.
RPs may be posted in the Results/Newswire thread.

With less than five and a half hours before the first planned scorination, I will give Barunia until that time expires to inform me of Ashburton's GT plans, and until the Wednesday scorination for Archer's FH lineup.

If I continue to hear nothing, Arada Motorsport will retract the primary seat offers to Ashburton for top honours alongside Nadakei in GT1 or engine development with Seruki in GT2 and give the seats to other drivers. After that point, she will instead be offered the reserve seat in GT2 for the 500km and 1000km rounds.

Unless Archer includes her in the lineup by Wednesday, Souzare will drive for Team ten*GU in FH. If a second driver is not nominated by that time, Archer will compete with only one car.
