Before the World Cup proper gets underway, at least 160 nations will be battling for thirty spots at the finals alongside the hosts. The final list of signed up nations, taking into account CTEs and so on, will be announced prior to the live draw on Saturday 20th of October, with the qualifiers starting on the following Tuesday 23rd. Until then, however, feel free to let the world know who you will be fielding; post your rosters here!

Remember that, alongside your roster, you may include a style modifier from -5 to +5, with the former as the most defensive strategy a team can adopt and the latter as the most attacking. You may also include the following RP permissions box:

The Karditan Robber Barons

Soccer is illegal in Karditan. Thus, this is a team of criminals and corrupt businessmen.

Starting 11

Goalkeeper- Emanuel Portico. One of the most successful petty thieves in all of Karditan, he is incredibly agile and specializes in predicting the movements of adversaries. This helps tremendously in stopping shots, espicially PKs. He is married to Sweet Swing.

Left Back- Dorian Berard. Runs Hardcore Cola, Karditan's leading soda distributor. Has an odd obsession with an online game called "RLstates."

Center Back- Dust Pan. The head janitor in Silveen Eleco's Fillydelphia estate (see below), he is incredibly quick and maneuverable--taken from years of experience darting through needlessly elaborate hallways and corridors to fix and clean any problems that appeared anywhere on the massive grounds.

Center Back- Left Wing. A Pegasus hitman who is wanted on several charges of vandalism and arson, suspected of using small tornadoes and lightning to destroy the rival businesses of his clients.

Right Back- Ivory Hilt. A freedom fighter from Vashameer who successfully bartered with Karditani authorities to allow his homeland to be carried away along with Ibex when the rebellious state was moved from one region to another via a fleet of military-grade helicopters. The land movement left most of the underlying soil, so the Karditanis got all they wanted: the oil. Meanwhile, Hilt has become the Governor-General of Vashameer under Ibex while continuing his modeling career.

Defensive Midfielder- Havr Milosivek. A freelancer who spends most of his time roaming the streets of Moscolt, Havr is a generally amiable guy who isn't afraid to smash a few shins if you push his buttons the wrong way. If his Russian accent gets thick enough that you can barely understand what he's saying, you should probably stay away from him; but that doesn't happen too often. Will sometimes have to leave the pitch temporarily to respond to calls from his cousin Roman.

Midfielder- Yong-Hu Cho. Leader of the largest Triad in Neighpon. A bit of an amateur in organized crime when compared to Korzado and Carnac, but still not a man you want to cross--he is far more focused on revenge and overt displays of superiority than the other two (which is very amateurish in a crime boss). Probably the most likely of the starting eleven to get red-carded.

Forward Midfielder- Sweet Swing. The one member of the Robber Barons who isn't actually a criminal, Swing is the daughter of famous Karditinian golfer Tyre McIron. She is married to Emanuel Portico.

Forward- Lightning Heart. A buffalo with a bad temper. Really, that's it. More assault & battery convictions than you can shake a horn at. Isn't very swift, but few people will want to be in his way if he gets up to speed.

Forward- Korzado. One of the few Zebras in Karditan, Korzado runs the Illineigh Mafia. His influence can be found in almost every successful business venture in Illineigh, as well as many in Detrot and Sinsinatti. A legion of all types of creatures serve him, and he might be the only thing richer than Eleco in Karditan- but he doesn't flaunt his wealth like Eleco does. Almost all of it is re-invested, whether in businesses or bribes.

Striker- Mario Cansetta. One of the higher-ups in Korzado's organization, Mario is in charge of collecting protection fees in Sinsinatti as well as organizing the official unofficial street racing league of Karditan. He's generally good-natured (he tries to convince his clients to pay their fees because he genuinely doesn't want to teach them a lesson), and is fiercely competitive. He'll take some bad shots, but it's damn hard for defenders to keep up with him.

Manager- Sucker Punch. A unicorn who's special ability is illusions of the nefarious kind, Punch is a strategic genius who plans to bring Karditan to the top. He runs the most successful corporate advertising/propaganda firm in Fillydelphia.

Defensive Coach- Carnac Carson. The biggest personality in Karditani crime, Carnac is the guy you go to when you need a hookup. Everyone who is anyone has grabbed a beer with him at one point or another. Is rumored to have some future-telling powers.

Financier- Silveen Eleco. The Man in Karditan. He runs Eleco Industries, Karditan's largest electronics company. He inherited the moderately-sized business from his father, Sylvester, and grew it to enormous proportions with brilliant economics and some underhanded business practices. He organized the Robber Barons and put together their entry into the World Cup, maintaining a large role on the running of the team though he no longer plays.

Substitutes

GK- Kroze (Zebra)
D- Mark Cheez
D- Jack Howitzer
D- Pick Pocket (Unicorn)
M- John Bum
M- Rain Out (Pegasus)
F- Ron Ferret
F- Hired Hoof (Earth Pony)

Formation: 4-3-3
Style Mod: -2.5

Home field: Silveen Eleco's personal pitch in his massive Fillydelphia complex. Visiting teams and a small cadre of visiting fans will be escorted through a convoluted network of underground tunnels that lead from the seaboard to the complex. No one is allowed to leave the complex until the end of play. We don't want the Karditani cops catching wind of a soccer game, do we?

FANCHNOPOLIS FOOTBALL TEAM

The FFF (Fanchnopolis Football Federation in its shortest version, which is also known by other names which add more F’s to the acronym) announced the players who are composing the National Team to play in international competitions. The “Militants”, as the team is called by the supporters, hope to make a good start in the worldwide scene, at the same time promoting their culture and honouring their nation.

Goalkeepers:

1- Bwerozza DIVARA
Team: Rua Augusta
She is not the captain, not the team top goalscorer or best player of the squad. But Divara is the true symbol of the squad, the person who can unite all the members of the team, regardless of personal rivalries. Her opponents who don’t know her usually underestimate her potential, as she is very thin, although the tallest of the squad. But she is a fast goalkeeper, able to quickly stop an opponent or to reach a difficult ball. However, her main flaw is when passing the ball, or in goal kicks, the reason why Cremezi takes them. She is also a lover of art, and is prone to spending the whole night in some nearby bar drinking and discussing art in general, which harms her training performance. Divara is the player who appears when the team is close to a nervous breakdown, or if a fight between two members of the team erupts. Her wise advices improve the quality of the squad.

22- LANA Santiago
Team: Solo Sagrado
The substitute goalkeeper knows that it’ll be very difficult to play a match for Fanchnopolis, since Divara is an absolute starter, and not one to get injured easily. Lana won this place in the squad due to being good friends with team captain Frots and the other members of the squad who play for Rua Augusta, a team which she has played for and even tried to return, but Solo Sagrado didn’t let their best player go. Lana is a very calm player, who judges well the situation to know how to act. This calmness helps her to play under pressure or in difficult moments, and also makes her a likeable person.

23- July QUELTK
Team: Atlética Capital
The third goalkeeper of the squad is part of the good defensive system of Atlética Capital, a team which is only able to challenge for the title thanks to this defensive line. Queltk is the shortest goalkeeper of the Fanchnopolis squad, but with excellent positioning. Is also a funny person, and is surely one to make the players laugh during their free time. However, she is close to only a few of the other members of the team.

Right-backs:

4- Diana BALOTO
Team: Bofetadas
Baloto is the fastest full-back of Fanchnopolis. An enthusiastic player, she is always full of energy and surely won’t give less than her best during a match. Good in long ranged passes, she is one who can create goalscoring chances directly from the defence. Also, is a very impulsive player, who can attempt some risky moves. Due to this tendency of acting without thinking, some players may blame her for mistakes, but she ignores these complaints. Outside the playing field, Baloto has an active participation in the social movements of Fanchnopolis, which receive extreme importance in the country, with focus on the environmental and students’ movements.

12- Jane PALSPAR
Team: Atlética Capital
Palspar shares some similarities with Baloto, her competition at the same position. She is fast and full of energy, but is far less daring than Diana. However, this ends pleasing the fans less, since for being more conservative Palspar ends having a quiet role during a match, not participating in vital moves. But the true talent of Jane resides on her speech: she is often selected to answer questions during an interview, since she is excellent at talking a lot and giving little information, or completely avoiding the point of the question and saying an entire different story. Is surely one of the first options on the bench, so is likely to start in case of injuries or to appear during the second half.

Left-backs:

11- Ariana NRATZEL
Team: Rua Augusta
The more technical full-back, and we can even consider her to be the most technical player of the entire squad, something that makes her more than an acceptable option for the midfield if needed, in case of a formation change. She is excellent at controlling the ball possession, but is not one to run during the entire match, due to the fact that her physical condition isn’t one of the best, she’s had many injuries during her career. However, even moving less than other players, her participation in the match is key, as she knows how to set up a move, and can also take free kicks and corner kicks with accuracy. Also, she also has a lot of knowledge of the history of Fanchnopolis and of the National Team, so can answer questions about them.

15- YARA Tessera
Team: Uni-Ribs
Yara is another very participative player, taking part in the social movements that made Fanchnopolis the country it is today. Focusing on the questions involving minorities and also the feminist movement, the biggest of the nation, she is a much respected person. As a player, she is a quick player, but not one much accurate in starting offensive moves: her talent is defensive, so she can be an option when the team needs to defend more.

Central defenders:

3- Xena RENITT
Team: Rua Augusta
The most ferocious defender of the squad, one that surely won’t give rest for the opponent strikers. Renitt is able to tackle the strongest opponents, being a specialist in defeating them in a ball dispute, and having more difficulties in facing more technical attackers. However, she never rests, so a player always have to take a look to see if she is close, as she can out of nothing appear with fury and get the ball back. However, in her daily life she is very gentle, having a busy social life and handling several relationships at the same time, a thing she is famous for.

6- Mile CREMEZI
Team: Atlética Capital
She has more technique than Renitt, and is not as strong... but if you think that Cremezi has a different playing style you’re very wrong. She is also a defender who follows the opponent she has to mark practically everywhere, going home with the player if she forgets that the match has ended... yes, because this can happen. Cremezi sometimes make weird attitudes, but still has the support from most of the squad, and therefore kept her place at the starting eleven. Is also another enthusiastic player, and one who easily accepts ideas for set pieces and strange offensive moves, since she takes all the goal kicks and free kicks on the defensive half. Another player who also has link with social movements, and who can react angrily at comments from other people, especially when they are aimed against women or students.

14- Ceres GANIS
Team: 16 de Junho
The substitute defender is another one who is excellent at marking opponent players and following them to ensure that they won’t receive the ball in good conditions. It seems that Fanchnopolis excels at producing this kind of players. However, Ganis also has enough talent to, after tackling an attacker, starting an offensive move with good passing ability. Also, is the best at heading between the defenders. She isn’t a starter due to physical problems.

20- STELLA Provo
Team: Bueiros do Centro
Stella is a player who ends being isolated from other members of the squad, as she doesn’t participate in an activist group, which is usually a source of prestige for Fanchnopolis citizens. However, she is well known in the country and respected as a football player, even though her lack of involvement in political matters produced prejudice, and she wasn’t able to join one of the title contenders, even having talent to play for them.

Defensive midfielders:

10- Chris FROTS
Team: Rua Augusta
The team captain, and the coach of the National Team. As coach, she doesn’t have absolute powers: some members of the team, such as Nretzel, Divara and Danizinha, have enough popularity to oppose to decisions of Frots regarding call-ups and tactics used. But the position of coach makes Frots the most influential player of the squad, being called “boss” by her team-mates. As the team captain, however, Frots do everything that pleases her, from complaining with referees to fighting with opponent players. About her playing abilities, she works as the mastermind of the team, controlling the ball and then distributing it to other midfielders or to the attack, so they can reach the opponent area to score. Due to this, she is a champion of assists, but not goals. At last, as a matter of curiosity, she always plays with a hat, even in the matches that the Fanchnopolis team will play naked.

16- Emma ELITA
Team: 16 de Junho
A vital substitute, being the first player to enter the match when there is a need for a defensive change in the Fanchnopolis team, by taking the place of one of the offensive midfielders. She has always been a talented player, good in defensive duties as well as in heading, which makes her a deadly option for the attack during corner kicks and crossings, winning prizes. But her space in the media only grew after she became the girlfriend of National Team idol Divara, the starting goalkeeper of the squad. Her positive thinking and determination during a football match makes her one of the players with the most potential to become one of the new idols of the team.

18- TINA Pacheco
Team: Caribe
Another player which doesn’t have a close relationship with the core group of the squad, composed by the team captain and her followers, Tina is however respected for being member of activist groups. Another interesting fact is her loyalty to her domestic club, Caribe, a team that is only an intermediate one in the top division of Fanchnopolis. She vows to defend the club until the end of her life, by acting as a director when she stops playing. As a defensive midfielder, she is the most defensive of the three.

Offensive midfielders:

5- Karine MARINO
Team: Império Vazio
Marino is the fan favourite for those interested in the looks of the players. Humble and talkative, she quickly attracts the attention of the people, but she is also as fast in ignoring any approaches and all the pressure of the media, preferring to keep her privacy and to spend her free time with activities not related with the fans or her professional life. As a football player, Marino is the true link from the midfield to the attack, usually receiving the ball from Frots and then sending it to one of the wingers or to the striker Lynn. She is horrible at finishing, so she focuses more on passing and in dribbling, the latter her main talent, so she is able to defeat opponent defenders before setting up goalscoring chances for the strikers.

8- SANDRA Hondroza
Team: Império Vazio
The true offensive midfielder of the team, who sometimes attempts to score through individual moves, preferring to dribble even though the wingers may be in a better position to attack. This sometimes selfish approach doesn’t take fans from her, however, since the supporters relate this with determination, but the relationship with her team-mates isn’t the best possible. She makes an excellent duo with Marino, and working together they can send Fanchnopolis forward. Sandra is also prone to get involved in arguments and fights which can make her receive several cards, even though she isn’t a violent player at all.

17- Ellen NUSTRON
Team: Uni-Ribs
Nustron is starter in her club, which is considered the best of the entire country, but unfortunately for her the chances of starting a match for the National Team are minimal, since the team prefers to use Elita as first choice substitute. But this doesn’t mean that Nustron has less talent: she is the best player of the team in long ranged shots, and can also take free kicks if needed... may earn many chances during the second half of matches.

Strikers:

2- DANIZINHA Trevi
Team: Império Vazio
The versatile winger. Queen of scoring weird goals, this happens because Danizinha is able to find opportunities to score when others don’t. Attacking in the right wing, her origins as a full-back made her prefer to wear the number 2 shirt, which is now considered strange by the supporters since it is a number usually used by defenders, while Danizinha is one of the most offensive players of the team. Danizinha is not very good at dribbling, which makes her a bad option for moves when the opponents are marking too heavily. However, she is quite strong and, being tall, will win most aerial challenges. Also, she is fast and also very resistant, and can be violent when provoked. A curious data about her is that her origins are unknown: she doesn’t talk about her parents or her infancy, but no one is sure why. Mysterious, she sometimes has a pessimist approach to situations and gets serious easily.

7- Katherine LYNN
Team: Uni-Ribs
The lone striker. In the formation used by Fanchnopolis, Danizinha and Vlasevic play as wingers, so Lynn ends with the position of being the main target for passes in the attack, and the one receiving the most pressure to score. She is less versatile than Danizinha, and doesn’t have as much creativity to score, but is much more competent with the ball on feet, capable of dribbling and without the unstable attitude towards the game of her team-mate: she is fully focused and lethal in front of the goal. There is some argument about which is the best player of the National Team, but surely Lynn will appear in all the discussions. Her main talent is also the ability to stay with the ball even swarmed by opponents or making difficult dribbling moves. As for her personal characteristics, she has a floating humour, which doesn’t affect her performances but affects relationships, and she has gotten in fights with several other members of the club. She is respected for her ideas and abilities, however, and due to this keeps the absolute starting position. Has a huge rivalry with captain Frots.

9- Izzy VLASEVIC
Team: Uni-Ribs
The quality attacker. Vlasevic ends receiving less popularity than the other two strikers of the squad when the idea is to rate talent, since she ends receiving more popularity and media exposure when the idea is to follow the relationships of the players and their social lives. However, you can’t think that she is a weak player. She has more finesse than the other strikers, being able to spot good passing chances and give the ball on the feet of her team-mates. Calmer than the other strikers, who often get involved in arguments and unstable humour, she is the best option to receive the ball in tense moments, when the team doesn’t seem to be working well together.

13- Pomba BREVIS
Team: Armada Ribeirão
A much respected member of the National Team, who can work either as a winger, preferably on the left, or as the target striker in Fanchnopolis’ specific formation. Brevis has a balanced talent in all the basic necessities of football, from dribbling to shooting, and so is a very good option when you don’t know the exact way of playing that can defeat the opposite squad. The problem is that the attacking trio of Fanchnopolis is much respected, so she won’t receive that many chances. Finally, during free times, Brevis is known for drinking too much and losing control of herself, talking too much and making jokes about anything.

21- Amanda TAMARINDO
Team: Bofetadas
The fifth attacker of the squad, it’ll be much difficult for her to feature with the Fanchnopolis shirt, or without the Fanchnopolis shirt but during a game, during an official competition without a tragedy involving injuries. Too bad for her, because Tamarindo is a lovely person and a talented player, who is good enough to take advantage of mistakes of defenders to score. She loves to tackle defenders.

Formation: Fanchnopolis plays with a 4-1-2-2-1 formation, with defensive full-backs and two wingers who are part of the attacking line. Below you see the representation of the formation:

Image

Kits: Now there is an important detail of Fanchnopolis’ team. The team has kits, which you can see below (first two alternate themselves as first option, third one is the third kit option always). However, this doesn’t mean that the players will wear them. The reason why: Fanchnopolis is a very hot country, and also the players don’t mind about the reaction of others, they usually play naked. In domestic matches this is common, but in order to respect opponents, they may wear these kits in away matches, or in neutral sites. However, if the opponents agree, then the Fanchnopolis team will play naked, as the players prefer this way. If not, they use the kits without loss in performance or morale. In cold places, with temperatures below 15ºC, they’ll wear the kits even if the opponents permit that they play naked, as they aren’t used to cold temperatures and have to wear some clothes. In matches in Fanchnopolis, no clothes for them, as the temperature won’t reach lower levels.

Home stadium: Fanchnopolis will play all its home games in the "Arena Estudantil", located in the city of Ribs. The pitch conditions are very poor, so some teams may have some problems, but there is space for nearly 20,000 people in the stadium. Also, the average temperature in Ribs is of 35ºC, so supporters and players have to be ready for the hot and dry climate.

Injure my players Y

The Freisan Farf Freitball Francitian (Official Farf Football Association in English) has officially presented WC62's roster:

Image

Manager: Hector Rossizzo
Assistant Manager: Gonzalo Mordáz
Style Modifier: +4

GK:
Name: Erfaon Lisdiren (Starter)
Age: 25
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Acrobatic goalkeeper
Bio: He was discovered by a Gorfalle Town scout by the age of 18. Quickly rose to fame by becoming Farfadillis' league's goalkeeper of the year and was consequently bought by Ferdullaele FC (Farfadillis' best team). He can stop almost any shot, but will almost always lose the ball due to poor handling. Due to this, the defenders that play with him are always next to him when someone shoots, to prevent an opponent's striker to score. He was really good on WC 61's Qualifyings, despite the insane amount of goals Farfadillis conceeded.

GK:
Name: Joan Raguzzelli
Age: 21
Team: Kolinkens FC
Style: Experienced Goalkeeper
Bio: Raguzzelli may be young, but he's experienced; Kolinkens is a mid-table team which almost never manages to get a good player from their yoth system. However, they managed to form Raguzzelli, and gave him playing time since his debut at the age of 16. He's played around 247 official matches for Kolinkens.

LB:
Name: Illi Setentriona (Starter)
Age: 22
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Can join the attack precisely, good at defending
Bio: Illi Setentriona has been called in Greffe's place, he was called due to the manager change, as Forretio Matino is even more attacking. He's really good when joining the attack, really good at tackling and short, but fast. His dribblings are impressive and is almost always unmarked. He won the award for best defender on the last FFL. Captain of the U-21.

LB:
Name: Nomá Greffe
Age: 23
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Style: Fast thinking, Tactical Mastermind
Bio: Nomá Greffe is a very interesting LB, he's a bit slow, but totally makes up for it by always knowing what the opponent's going to do. He's not very good at long passing, so he often tries to make the team play better by using short passing. After not being called for the national team for some time, he's returned.

CB:
Name: Yung Chinsúa (Starter) (Captain)
Age: 24
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Style: Fast defender, prone to injuries
Bio: Yung is Saindí's heir, he's young and, even though he's not really similar to him, he's now the starting CB as Saindí has retired. He's not as prone to injuries as he was before, because he's been doing heavy excercises and has therefore become stronger. Saindí wanted him to be the captain. His performances during WC 61's Qualifyings were overall decent, with good matches and bad matches. He's demonstrated he's an aerel threat despite being short.

RB:
Name: Agundí Frêndê (Starter)
Age: 24
Team: Mabel Wigglytuffs (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Style: Very selfish, awesome dribbler.
Bio: Ferdullaele FC had always been interested on Agundí, but, as his father was the founder of his team (Fryi Frêndê), he had constantly rejected every offer. He's the best dribbler of the team, but the most selfish player too. He's been sold to another team, in what farfs call an epic comeback after Ferdullaele FC won the tournament, not giving them the star they had been seeking to have for 2 years is an obvious revenge, but a funny one. He's one of Rossizzo's favourites due to his playing style, his performances on Farfadillis' last matches were impressive.

RB:
Name: Cundo Nessi
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 21
Style: Almost perfect tactically sepaking
Bio: Nessi was born in Ruland, known as the "3rd world state", a state where almost everyone is living in poverty, and starving. He was one of those kids who didn't get an education because of it. However, he did play a lot of football and managed to be spotted by one of Flying Jellyfish's scout. He's almost perfect when it comes to tactics. Just Frêndê's back-up, but is flexible and may enter for anyone in the defense, or defesnsive midfield if they get injured/tired/on low-form/carded and Rossizzo foresees a red card.

LM:
Name: Friekder Dandalleion (Starter)
Age: 20
Team: Cednia Beach (Turori)
Style: Extremely Fast, always helps on the offense, a bit on the defense, tends to score goals by outrunning players.
Bio: After being the best Farf player on the Swamp Soccer WC 2, he was called by Ferdullaele FC and started playing on Farfadillis' first division, becoming loved by the fans (who already loved him because of his performance on the SSWC2) and was called for the national team, quickly replacing Bujkanovic. He's a very promising player, and is an example of commitment. He's been demonstarting why he's on the starting line-up. He hasn't performed really well in Cednia Beach, where he's played out of position slightly. Still, he's one of the best farf players around.

LM:
Name: I7'imund Bujkanovic
Age: 32
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Fast, good on a defensive point of view.
Bio: I7imund is a fast midfielder, almost unstoppable on a long run. He's been the Best Farf Player of the year twice since his debut. His youth team was Tympú FC, but Ferdullaele FC bought him before he even debuted. He's not as fast as he was last world cup. As he performed terribly last world cup, a Swamp Soccer player, loved by the fans, and who is faster than him, took his place on the main team, but he recovered it during the WC 61 Qualifyings as an LB. Sadly, he's lost his place on the Main Team once again to Setentriona. Will get playing time, but not much.

CDM:
Name:
Frion Wanderis (Starter)
Age: 22
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Very good defensively, very good dribbler, decent passer.
Bio: Frion Wanderis is very good in important areas of the midfield, specially on a defensive point of view, the bad thing is he's a bit selfish, and that's not very good for a CDM. He's a very important player of the team now, and never gets substituted. He's been performing awesomely lately, how much his form may last is unknown.

CDM:
Name: Hu Okno Sereno
Age: 18
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Very good at defending, not that good at attacking
Bio: Sereno started playing as a defender, however, he was quickly replaced by someone else on the CB position. That wasn't bad at all, as he found out he was actually better off playing another position: CDM. He is a really organized defender and really young, hasn't got enough playing time in Ferdullaele, but is a really promising player.

CM:
Name: Yurpá Mêndêlöíndçêl (Starter)
Age: 19
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: VERY energetic, decent when it comes to technique and superb defensively.
Bio: Yurpá is one of the most promising players here. He's not good with the ball, but he's a ball-recovering machine. He was named most promising young player by the Farfadillis commitee twice. He's finally gotten a solid place on the midfield, playing with O'rosso really gives him confidence. He's almost never the main protagonist of matches, but his constant steals always give Farfadillis an advantage. Has now forged an identity inside the field, often leading his teammates. An experienced tactician at a young age.

CAM:
Name: Matí O'rosso (Starter)
Age: 21
Team: Mardi Lopunnies (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Style: Fast-paced, agile, playmaker
Bio: The best player on the team. He's the centre of every attack and can assist from very difficult positions. His weak point is dribbling, as he's used to pass the ball as soon as possible since he started playing football. He's very passive and never complains to the referee. His free kicks are almost impossible to stop. He was the best Farf player on WC 60's Qualifyings, soring 9 goals, sadly, he couldn't stop the team from being the lowest on our group. He was also the best player WC 61's qualifyings, too. He's supposed to lead the team this WC.

CAM:
Name: Ichi Tuzzio (Starter)
Age: 19
Team: Kiiarana City (Vilita)
Style: Very good at shooting from long distances, excellent dribbler, agile, and good playmaker.
Bio: Ichi Tuzzio was originally born in Dodeni, Dandillis, but due to the fact that if you're born on Dandillis you get Farfadillis' nationality too (and viceversa), he'll be playing for Farfadillis, because he hasn't played any official competition for Dandillis, just unofficial ones. He's demonstrated he's a hell of a player by shining last Qualifyings. He's the player most adversaries should fear along with O'rosso. He recently signed for Kiiarana City, Vilita. There, he's played almost every game of the season, finally getting competence. He's expected to perform even better this time.

RM:
Name:
Rancisc Tenian (Starter)
Age: 21
Team: Gwinevra Barbarians (Apox)
Style: Playmaker, horrible at defending.
Bio: Tenian is one of the first Farf players to play abroad. He is an incredible playmaker. He's the first Faroleran* player to play on the national team. Matino decided to call him for the starting eleven over Minduruguatzel. He's demonstrated that he's good enough for the national team and he may be one of the few things Matino has done well.

ST:
Name:
Fabrifé Numbá
Age: 30
Team: Tympú AC
Style: Fast, precise striker
Bio: An incredibly fast and very lethal finisher. Used to compete on athletism until, at the age of 16, his uncle persuaded him to compete on football instead, he did keep his athletic treats though, something easily noticeable. Currently plays on Tympú AC . He's returned to the national team after a break to care after his father, who recently died. He hasn't become the starter again yet, but he may in the future.

ST:
Name:
Yolo Fu
Age: 21
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Ideal Poacher
Bio: After Numbá decided to retire from the natinoal team for an undfefined amount of time, Matino called Ferdullaele FC's current centerforward: Fu. He's the ideal poacher: Exquisite heading, good finishing, good at reacting, good positioning and fast on short distances. He's demonstrated what he's worth, but the battle for being the starter against Johans will continue, he's losing it for now.

ST:
Name:
Neguimbelefra Fragreda
Age: 28
Team: Bafilo United (Slembana)
Style: Slow poacher
Bio: Neguimbelefra is VERY slow, and often has troubles with the offside law, but he's a superb poacher and makes up for it completely. He's one of the best players technically speaking. He's lost his place on the starting eleven with Ichi Tuzzio, Farfadillis new promise. Ths is partly because of his horrendous performance at world cup 60. He isn't getting any playing time lately, not even back at Farfadillis with his team, Feardallis' Wanderers, who are already seeking a replacement.

ST:
Name:
Septimus Johans (Starter)
Age: 19
Team: Ogdenaire Oren (Springmont)
Style: Finisher, Awesome Dribbler and good crosser
Bio: Septimus is one of Farfadillis' best strikers, currently, everyone has put their eyes on this young striker, being known for being "the perfect finisher". He was one of the best players on the WC 61 Qualifyings and demonstrated he's a good crosser and dribbler. He's still fighting for the place as starter against Fu, but will start every game, being replaced in some of them.

Stadium:

Name: Farf Fragar Firshchendujmal I7'snerra
Capacity: 150,000
Picture: http://imageshack.us/a/img713/4790/alamierdaz.jpg
Other information: In 1950 the FFFF decided that it was time to have an official stadium for the national team, they had used Tympú AC's stadium up to that moment. In the end they brought the resolution for the Federal Council to approve (back in that time, federations had to draft resolutions for the Federal Council, which would approve them or not).
The 20th of August of 1964, the Federal Council finally gave the FFFF the right to build the stadium, they even gave them a really huge piece of land that the state had, near Ferdullaele. On the 20th of November they presented the planes to the FM (Farf Municipality). After lots of inconveniences, the FFFF finally got to start building the stadium. They got the resources from selling diamonds from the diamond mine they had bought back in 1952, foresseing they would need money for the stadium and believing it was the best investment back then. The total cost of the stadium was of about F$100,000,000, back then, the stadium had 90,000 seats.

It would be upgraded to the monstrosity it is much afterwards, in the year 2004, when the amount of football fans grew substantially. Out of 300,000,000 people living in Ferdullaele, approximately 1,200,000 constantly tried to get tickets for Farfadillis' matches, back then playing only minor cups without being a recognized national team. That often made tickets really expensive and almost impossible to get, that's when the FFFF decided to upgrade the stadium to the gargantuan thing it is now. Now having the permission to do what they pleased, they gathered the money to upgrade it in approximately 5 years, they had started gathering it back in 1999. Donations were also needed, with the Farf population happily donating, statistics say that 1 out of 300 Farfs donated for it. The average of a donation was F$10 (approximately 15 dollars). This meant 15,000,000 dollars in donations plus all the money the FFFF had gathered from their mine. Soon, they had enough money to upgrade the stadium, they decided that the optimal number of new seats would be 60,000, effectively making the capacity 150,000. There's much controversy back then on what materials they were going to use, as they couldn't afford much more than pretty average materials, something that Farfs certainly didn't like. Finally, on the 25th of September of 2006, upgrading was over and the I7'snerra was now a juggrnautesque stadium it is now.

The 2nd of October of 2006, the renewed stadium would be inaugurated. It rained that day and there wasn't many people there, but it was a party regardless. The people were happy to have a bigger stadium, this would mean they would have to pay less to assist a Farf match and that they would have more possibilities of getting the tickets. The first match played on that stadium was a demonstration one, between past Farf stars. The teams were "Blue" and "Red", with Blue winning 7-4 on an epic match most Farfs will remember.
The Farf football team would later on sign up for the 60th edition of the World Cup, playing at the Farf I7'snerra officially for the first time. However, the result wasn't good for Farfadillis, they would lose against Darmen 2-1, in a match where both teams could've score more goals, but the posts denied almost every chance. Those qualifyings were a nightmare for Farfadillis, just as expected. Later on they would win their 1st match at the I7'snerra by a 1 goal margin against Tales, the goalscorer would be Matí O'rosso. This would be the only match Farfadillis would win that cycle. On World Cup 61, however, the team would fare really well at the I7'snerra, failing to score only once and losing only once against Cassadaigua, sadly, they lost 8-1 that game, a record. The team would only draw two games at the I7'snerra, lose one and winning five.

WEST ANGOLAN WORLD CUP 62 ROSTER:

Hoping to build on their success in the Fifty-Third Cup of Harmony, West Angola returns the same lineup as that tournament, hoping to break through the glass ceiling of qualification this time around. Of course, the familiar enemy of the team is lurking about, as he always is, and this time he brings to bear his greatest plan yet.

Head Coach: Phillip Garren- The original squad's keeper, Garren was injured in an auto accident the night after the first match of Baptism of Fire 45. He was unable to continue playing, but has remained as the team's head coach ever since the assassination of Peter Warren. Garren is one of three men on the team tapped for revenge by deposed King August II, and is often the target of his diabolical schemes.
Assistant Coach: Isaac Warren- A forward for the team since the beginning, Warren was kidnapped and poisoned during World Cup 61. He was nearly killed, and the chemicals ravaged his body beyond condition for football. Warren is now the team's assistant coach, and is the second of three members of the team targeted by August.

Starters:

Goalkeeper: Jacob Kerys- Kerys has been West Angola's keeper since its first World Cup. He benefits now from a strong defense that keeps most attacks from reaching him, but is viewed by many experts as the team's weakest link. If Kerys melts down again like he did against Slembana, West Angola could be in deep trouble.
Defense: Michael Remonav- The four defenders are the core of West Angola's team. Trained to the highest level of physical and tactical ability by the best strategists and defenders in the country, West Angola's defense allowed only one goal throughout group play (excepting a match against Slembana which had no effect on the group outcome by the time it was played) and only one more in the tournament. They are prepared to repeat this feat in the World Cup, hoping their lowering of opponent's scores will help the attack to break through.
Defense: Pardor Jaxton
Defense: Garret Yokum
Defense: Rory Unist
Middle: Levi Darnel- The middles are a curious bunch. Long overlooked by West Angola's football faithful, and often eclipsed by starts such as Parrish, Warren, Kerys, and Larrsen, they have long flown beneath the radar. This simmering resentment could have caused one to turn on his team and his country, even working for the greatest enemy of the state West Angola has ever known...
Middle: Christopher Thorpe
Middle: Thomas Young
Middle: Stanley Woticwe

Forward: James McDaniels- The forwards, McDaniels and Larssen, are still attempting to find their place in Phillip Garren's new defensive scheme. Larssen made the case that the high-powered attacks of the teams known as West Angoala aren't completely done for, but both forwards must struggle to escape redundancy in a team that ever looks toward its rear half.
Forward: MIchael Larssen- The unexpected star of the Cup of Harmony, Larssen is hoping to build on his momentum and lead the team to a victory.

Backups:

Goalkeeper: David Reese
Defense: Titus Reman
Defense: Victor Totryss
Middle: Alex Krebyt
Middle: William Surav
Forward: Lawrence Christianson
Forward: Logan Flosh

Style Modifier: -3

Note: The four players in bold are those who may have been targeted by August. Which one it is will be revealed during the World Cup, and the victim may or may not survive. Remember, August is a large fan of pawns, so the one he seems to be going after may not be it.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

The Asociación Charruterrana de Fútbol is happy to announce their roster for WC 62:

Image
Nickname: Los Charruas
Style: (weird formation) +4
Manager: Fajú, player-manager

Starting XI:

GK:
Name: Ruuj Máj
Age: 20
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers (Farfadillis)
Bio: Ruuj Máj is extremely religious, believing in a deity called "Sharuujpán", in which every Charruterran admits to believe in, however, some don't. He's a pretty good goalkeeper, as he gets to show it often as Charruterra's style uses only 2 defenders. He joins the team's sacrifice of rubber chickens to "Sharuujpán" (which in Charrua translates to Margaret). Extremely foul-mouthed, but Charrua is a difficult language to speak, so won't be understood by anyone.

CB:
Name: Mardúj Janguje
Age: 30
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers (Farfadillis)
Bio: Janguje also believes in this deity, and celebrates every win by praying to it. He is kind of old, but he's still physically great, and wants to continue playing. Extremely respectful unless his deity is mocked. Overall good defender that keeps calmness at almost any time. Proficient at English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Farf and Charruterran. Likes to study languages during his free time.

CB:
Name: Sultáj Zoba Má
Age: 45
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers (Farfadillis)
Bio: Sultáj Zoba Má translates to english to "Magnificent Moon Sultan". Leads the rubber chicken sacrifice during nights. Extremely old, but as he's the spiritual leader, he must be on the starting line-up. Bad player overall, but extremely clam and respectful. Tends to see the future, and often writes about it.

LM:
Name: Canamazán Fajú
Age: 22
Team: Helsirn CSKA (Svengarda)
Bio: Fajú is by far the best player here, good control of the ball and pretty fast. Good at dribbling and at assisting. Not religious at all, but acts like he is. Currently one of the best players of Feardallis' Wanderers. May "disappear" before the rubber chicken ceremony, often coming up with good excuses.

CM:
Name: Saguaqué Mijú (Captain)
Age: 34
Team: Pacahocaf SC
Bio: Mijú is extremely aggresive and tries to always win. He'll often get carded, maybe even get a red card. He also tend to send death threats to the opposing team before matches. This should be taken seriously, and, should your team get one, be extremely careful. Mijú is the captain of the team. As he's the "Cacique" of this tribe.

CM:
Name: Tacuabé Sepé
Age: 27
Team: O Lajau SC
Bio: Extremely religious, he's the one who brings the rubber chickens for the ceremonies. How he gets them is a mystery, though. He's good at passing, decent defensively and bad at dribbling. Will pass the ball as soon as he receives it.

RM:
Name: Dioí
Age: 26
Team: Pacahocaf SC
Bio: Dioí was named after the sun, he's seen as a god by the players, with the exception of Fajú. Everyone treats him with respect, even though he hasn't shown any magical powers except predicting the weather. Which he does perfectly. Skilled and will get many passes throughout the game.

LAM:
Name: Adeltú Cohújaan
Age: 17
Team: Yuambú SC
Bio: The youngest of the team, just started to get involved in ceremonies and is kind of skeptical of the "almighty Sharuujpán". Very good at shooting from far distances but tends to be shy, doesn't want to receive the ball. It's widely believed that, should he get some confidence, he would be the best player of the team.

CAM:
Name: Magaloná Zapicán
Age: 34
Team: Pacahocaf SC
Bio: Zapicán is the leader of the team offensively, he was Pacahocaf SC's top scorer last season. However, he wasn't the top scorer of the entire league. Extremely religious, the creator of the ritual, too. Tends to lead his two teammates that play beside him.

RAM:
Name: Naigualve Cleubilbe
Age: 20
Team: Na Quícan SC
Bio: After finishing a bad season with his team, he's willing to perform with the national team. Good at shooting from far distances and good at assisting Cloyan. Top assister last league, regardless of his team finishing 9/12. Isn't completely sure about Sharuujpán's existence.

ST:
Name: Cloyan
Age: 26
Team: O Lajau SC
Bio: O Lajau SC's lead striker. Really aggresive, knows basic english. Tends to score many goals, finishing as top scorer last season, even scoring during the final, but losing it on penalties. Cloyan also tends to write his own reports for the matches he plays in english to practise his knowledge of the language. He doesn't even know how to use verbs correctly. He's also the manager of the team, as this is always assigned to the top scorer of the Liga Oficial Charruterrana. This is reflected in the team's style.

Substitutes:

GK:
Name: Shajú Ohoj
Age: 30
Team: Pacahocaf SC
Bio: Ohoj routinely takes part on ceremonies, current best goalkeeper of the LCF. However, he's not part of the Starting XI due to a player playing abroad being younger and better. Extremely childish, doesn't care about being on the bench.

CB:
Name: Dioí Survaja
Age: 60
Team: None
Bio: Dioí's servant has been brought to the national team to attend all the players. He may play as a CB, but will play horribly.

CB:
Name: Chacutupú Lonjá
Age: 16
Team: Pacahocaf SC
Bio: Lonká is extremely young, and is hoping to be a sultan. If he ever gets the title, he'll replace Sultáj Zoba Má easily as he's much better and much younger than him. He's only 16 and already a starter for champions Pacahocaf SC.

CM:
Name: Undú Majáj
Age: 24
Team: O Lajau SC
Bio: Majáj is polyfunctional; he may play in any position. However, he's equally average in all of them so he isn't a starter. If a player gets injured, he'll play almost for sure.

CAM:
Name: Janjú Mujpán
Age: 79
Team: None
Bio: As a reward for being the oldest Charruterran alive, he'll travel as part of the national team for the BoF solely, not the WC. Won't play under any circumstances, as playing might give him a heart attack.

ST:
Name: Bloyan
Age: 26
Team: O Lajau SC
Bio: Cloyan's twin and teammate striker in O Lajau SC, inferior than him and holds a rivalry with him. Might enter but not for sure.

After a Quarter-Finals run at the Campionato Esportiva III, the Marills return to WC competition, not expecting much but still interested on getting something. Most changes were done on the bench, as Felipe Pessoa, Louise Madouette and Freddie Brother were not called, meanwhile Michael Leminski is not going to play this tournament due to "personal reasons", thus moving up Brendan Crawford to the first team and calling up Namine Nagatomo for his spot.

Licentian National Football Team

After a successful run in the Campionato Esportiva, taking the title on penalties against Asadur, the Cyan-and-Gold have to rebuild, with caretaker manager Tom Lucan being replaced by full-time boss Kelly Sporadic, and Nathan Gardiner-Stewart returning to retirement. A younger side, with new tactics, new players and all that comes with a new manager, it should be an interesting campaign for a team that is expected by its fans to qualify for the World Cup, and nothing less.

Manager- Kelly Sporadic (Silexhera):
The first ever foreign manager of the Cyan-and-Gold, Kelly Sporadic is also one of the most distinguished to hold the title. From playing in an attacking midfield role for both Atletico Insula in Cafundeu and Silexhera, to managing the reincarnated Bulls of Audioslavia since the 46th Baptism of Fire, the same tournament that the Eagles debuted at, Sporadic is the perfect manager for a new look side.

Starting Lineup:

GK – Cameron Ritchie – 27 years – SC Montfort:
Young Cam Ritchie finally has his first real opportunity for the Licentian side this cycle. He picked up his only three full caps at the last World Cup, following the death of Alex Gardiner-Stewart. With the return of Nathan Gardiner for the Campionato, Ritchie was yet again denied his chance, but he now has a chance to prove himself between the hallowed sticks at LTI Stadium.

LB – Toby Bishop – 21 years – Carrington United:
Toby Bishop, despite his young age, isn’t lost for experience. His talent and leadership saw him picked as the captain for the Young Eagles latest, and his last, run at a Di Bradini Cup in Starblaydia. Despite being the young defender in the side, and Joe Long providing a challenge for his spot, Bishop is one of the greatest young talents since Alex Gardiner-Stewart, and that is a compliment that he knows he has to live up to.

CB – Harvey Morrison – 25 years – Abingdon Celtic:
Harvey Morrison isn’t famous for his skills as a centre-back. In fact, many in the Islands see him as a liability. But, he is less of a liability than the man he replaced, the now-retired Gordon Harrison. And, thanks to that, Harvey will be given another chance by Sporadic, and the Cyan-and-Gold faithful, at this World Cup.

CB – Billy Walters – 27 years – Montfort Wanderers:
Walters is a star in the centre of defence for the Whites and for his country. Originally from remote Hessington Island in the east of the islands, Walters gave up his love of cricket to pursue his talent for football, and signed up for the prestigious Wanderers Academy at the age of 14. Now 27, he continues as Montfort’s top centre-back, and is a star for the Eagles.

RB – Ellis Sanders (C) – 33 years – Sporting Iturributa (ITB):
‘Skip’ Sanders, as he is affectionately known amongst the Cyan-and-Gold faithful, is the life and soul of the Licentian national team. The joker, the leader and the stalwart in defence, Ellis is all you could ask for in a captain. Nathan Gardiner used to say of his close friend, “If you ever needed cheering up, you talked to Ellis. If his motivational words didn’t sweep away the blues, the whisky certainly would !!” Anybody who knows Sanders well can testify to this.

DM – Nate Parkinson – 23 years – AFC Farnworth:
Nate Parkinson seems to personify the young generation of Licentian defenders. From a position where goals, and praise, are hard to come by on the Islands, and at an unfashionable team, Parkinson was able to take home an Outstanding Player Award last season, along with a league-winner’s medal with Farnworth, who surprised many by taking the title. In a new formation where the holding midfielder rules, Nate is the perfect man for the job.

CM – Dylan Knight – 29 years – Montfort Wanderers:
Dylan Knight can’t seem to avoid moving back up the field recently. First, he was moved into an attacking midfield role for the national team after Jack Kerr’s emergence. Now, in Sporadic’s plans, he is being moved to a central midfield role, where he can still do his usual playmaking, just from a deeper part of the field. The question is whether or not Knight can pull off another position move.

CM – Luca Mackay – 21 years – Gaels:
After an amazing performance in midfield at the Di Bradini Cup, and with Sporadic’s need for two central midfielders, Luca Mackay has finally won a deserved break into the national team. It was no surprise that this young man, who brought Gaels to the peak of their excellence last season, was the first on the list to take a jump to the national team, and it is a job Mackay will grab by the horns and play his heart out to keep.

LW – Lewis Naylor – 23 years – Teva FC (UGO):
The only member of this starting eleven to play outside of the Islands until Sanders’ recent signing with Sporting Iturributa, Lewis Naylor is deserving of his spot on the left wing. He has a monstrous cross, he is dangerous when he cuts inside, and there is a reason that he takes the free-kicks for the Cyan-and-Gold. Inside 25 yards, Naylor can put the ball on a sixpence. I’m not even using a turn of phrase there. They tested him on a sports science show, with an old Licentian sixpence. That’s how good he is.

RW – Lewis Slater – 28 years – Colesham Athletic:
Lewis Slater is the opposite of his partner on the wings for the last few Cups. He takes his time on runs, and he picks apart defences like they aren’t there with his close-range skills. While he can put in a great cross when he needs to, he would rather thread a pass across the face of goal for somebody to pick up and finish on. He makes a dangerous chalk-and-cheese pairing with Naylor, and the fans love them both.

CF – Jack Kerr – 37 years – Abingdon Celtic:
Jack Kerr is the quintessential Licentian centre-forward. Tall, powerful, strong in the air, not afraid to get in a scuffle. There is a reason that he is so popular on the Islands, and that is that he scores a ridiculous amount of goals, both for the Green-and-Gold, and for the Cyan-and-Gold. This is likely the last time that Kerr will compete for the national team, and he is going to try and go out with one last hurrah.

Bench Players:

GK – Clark McDonald - 22 years - AFC Farnworth
A new face in the side, Clark McDonald is the best up-and-coming goalkeeper since the late Alex Gardiner-Stewart. He has recently played on AFC’s title-winning side, and he was one of the main reasons that they won out, with his safe hands keeping many a goal from crossing the line. If he gets the chance to play, the Cyan-and-Gold faithful won’t worry about conceding many goals.

CB – Kyran Stevenson – 24 years – St Bart’s
One of the few bonus points at St Bart’s over the last few seasons, Kyran Stevenson is Gordon Harrison’s replacement, with the biggest liability in Cyan-and-Gold football retiring from internationals along with Joe Long this season. If Kyran is even a little better than Harrison, then he will be welcomed with open arms to the national team.

FB – Evan Russell – 23 years – Bayern Phoenix (TAE)
Another Licentian who moved for greener pastures in the last few years, Evan Russell escaped to Rushmore when it was clear to all but the fat cats in charge that the faeces had hit the fan at St Bart’s. With Bayern Phoenix, Evan has played well, and has earned a call-up to the national team. He is expected to give Toby Bishop much more trouble than Long did before he retired.

DM – Louis Atkinson – 30 years – Montfort Wanderers
As a veteran holding midfielder, Louis Atkinson was publicly frustrated when Sporadic announced that Nate Parkinson would be preferred to him for this World Cup. He even attempted to get his journalist father to criticise the Silexheran until he resigned. Unfortunately, his father works for the largely-ignored Gaelic Times. As such, Atkinson will have to earn his place in a different way.

CM – Ben Miller – 31 years – Colesham Athletic
Another veteran left out of the first eleven, it is again unsurprising that Ben Miller was frustrated with a bench place. However, rather than huff and puff, he has put in performance after performance for Colesham, and Sporadic has admitted that he is impressed with Ben, and that the veteran may get some time soon enough.

RW – Jacob Paterson – 25 years – Montfort Wanderers
Jacob Paterson admitted that he feared for his place in the national team when Sporadic signed on as boss. Paterson is yet to give anybody any reason to play him, and yet, he has held on to his place on the bench, for now at least. There are many people that would covet that place, and Paterson will have to play well in his various substitute appearance to stay there.

CF – Logan Moran – 27 years – SC Montfort
Logan Moran was a surprise drop from Kelly Sporadic’s starting eleven. While he knows that when Jack Kerr retires at the end of this cup, he will get his chance to carry on in his previous spot, anybody would be a bit miffed losing their place because of a formation change. Moran will have to wait for another two years to regain his place, but in the meantime, he’ll be able to try and return SC to the top of the LPL.

Home Stadium – LTI Stadium:
Montfort, Montfort Parish
The spiritual home of the two biggest sports on the Islands, football and lacrosse, LTI Stadium will host the Cyan-and-Gold’s qualifying campaign for the third Cup running. Holding 75,000 screaming Islanders, you can expect a hostile atmosphere when you come to visit Fortress Montfort, as it has become known to the fans.

After the surprising good development in the Friendly Cup, kicking out the Teams from Boring Paradise and Estope the Phoenixian National Team is preparing for the newest task .

The Worldcup Qualifications, the ultimate task for every team, despite the fact that the league is only semi-professional and most of the Team plays in foreign leagues even the preliminary report beat all quote records for sport events in Phoenixia. A own channel will commend the activities for the time of the WC-Qualifications. Bars and restaurants all over the country must decline reservations for the Match Days and it's nearly impossible to get tickets for the home matches, nearly impossible under normal circumstances giving the fact that the matches will be played in the Royal Football Arena with over 90 000 places.
Image
Phoenixias Fans lost their fear for the international stage and every team is good advised to recognize the Team as equal rivals and not as a training session like in the last years.

Trainer Kristoffer Raske

Goalkeeper
#1 Lukas Eirikson, yes you heard right, I say Eirikson as in our King but they have no blood relationship. Anyway he is 20 years old and a good example for the whole chart. Since two years he plays in Benadigaro and hold the record for the most games with no goals so he was the logical choice for this team.

Defenders:
#2 Jakob Grietson 23 years old right defence captain of the team, raised from humble homes and proud of it. Football is his live and everyone who has the malevolence to play against him will congratulate the team for this man.
#4 Daniel 'the Iron Duke' Janson 20 years old left defence, the nickname sayed it this man is responsible for 5 major injuries, 3 bone crushs and the best statistic a team in Phoenixia ever had 58 goals to 4.
#6 Robert Frederikson 18 years center defense, nothing to say about him, silent guy who did his job with ease, no suprise on this position.
#7 Nils Gudwinson 22 years, center defense, comrade of Frederikson and Eirikson, together the two are responsible for 20 matchs without failure and a secure championship in Benadigaro

Middlefield:
#3 Lars Olsen 18 years right middlefield, brilliant in his debut season and got the spot without questions. 8 Goals, 10 Assists and 5 Men of the Match Honors speaks a clear language.
#5 Rio Rioson 18 years old left middlefield, immigrant from Columbo, lost his family early in his life and changed his last name to Rioson shortly before he was elected for this tourament. Valuable, talented Player but equipped with the temperament of his birth Nation
#8 Karl Gudmer 20 years offensive middlefield, questionable but a good player if he's in the right mood. Shoot 4 goals in a single game but his season yield only contents 14 goals.
#18 William Blonquist 23 years defence middlefield, player above average with a good sprint and a look for counters, offensive variant of Lukas Stefano. Only change in the rooster in relation to the BoF, a logic choice considering his game against Skyrim with 2 assists including the important 1-0 in the tenth minute.

Attack:
#11 Andreas Stenko 20 years Attack, son of immigrants. His father prefered a 'healthy career' for his son but after the first year in the league of Phoenixia he changed his mind. 50 Goals in two years, artist in regard of free kicks and a height of 2,10 metre makes this player unquestionable even more after his 5 goals out of 4 games, unfortunately 4 of them in the game against Skyrim as the team already lost the chance to go further than the third place.
#12 Jan Urquarth 18 years Attack, they last name characterize the player very good, 20 goals in the last season but also 3 red cards for unnecessary violence against the goalkeeper. But he promised a change in that. So far he was reliable and scored one goal against Skyrim.

Reserve:
#10 Edwin Karlson 16 years right defence, inexperienced but talented.
#13 William Jansson 18 years, Attack, not related with Daniel Janson. 16 goals in his first season, this year he will play the rule of a joker but he hopes for more in the next edition of the world cup.
#14 Ila Bergson 20 years left defence, unconvential name paired with a unconvential player, a force to be recognised and damm proud of it.
#15 Holger Gudwin 18 years allrounder, a talent found shortly before the tourament, good player for the middlefield but others than that he had no plans for a position
#16 Simon Wolf, an oldie in relation to the rest of the team, 30 years old and this will be most likely his last grand tourament. He is a experienced goalkeeper but he was at no time more than above average. Be that as it may he is the number 2 in the Goalkeeper Position.
#17 Jens Holgerson, only 16 years old and the rising star in Phoenixia. His nomination was a suprise for many journalists but he have earned this post with two good seasons in the college league.
#9 Lukas Stefano 24 years, defensive middlefield, got the tendency of the golden pass but his main advantage is the great defence work. Played in Heythor since 5 years.

System 4-4-2 with a rue.

World Cup 62 Media Guide: The Babbage Islands

Nickname: Bumblebees
Colours: Yellow and black

Manager: Arna-Maggra o Wirrenne (Bears Armed)
Assistant: Matt Chauvin (The Babbage Islands)
Style: +3.5
Formation: 2-1-2-2-3 or 5-5 or 3-2-5 or 3-4-3

After 27 years as a player and manager at Belgium FC, including eight national championships, Arna-Maggra steps into one of the most visible manager slots in world football in her debut campaign with the Bumblebees. The former Bear-Belles lynchpin brings with her the traditional Bears Armed alignment that writer Phyllis Reeves has compared to a Babbage 4-6 on steroids. It features a full-blown five-player front end, three forwards and two wingers with an aggressive mindset, and an "X" in back with two half backs, two full backs, and the characteristic lynchpin at the centre of it all. Matt Chauvin, winner of 99 caps in the Bumblebees back line, was lured away from managing FĈB club Sporting Boulder to take the number-two job with the national team.

Her task is simply defined although difficult to execute and impossible to guarantee: Take the world's #4 football team, thirteen-time qualifiers for the World Cup with five semifinal appearances and two finals lost by an aggregate of 0-1, and win the darn thing at last.

In the squad list below, starred athletes appeared for The Babbage Islands during World Cup 61.

Forwards

Centre forward
Valentine Armstrong* 24 M CF 34/27 Great Falls Cymru
Vigdís Stefánsdóttir 27 F CF 10/3 Bloomfield National

Left forward (inside left)
Bearchán O'Dea* 25 M LF 24/9 Bloomfield National
Randy Clark 22 M LF 0/0 FC Green Star

Right forward (inside right)
Courtney Keisler* 32 F RF 44/23 Belgium FC
Sergio Flores Cotto* 22 M RF 4/2 Viktoria Baden

Left winger (outside left)
Emily Howell* 27 F LW 40/18 Parisian
Florian Dufour 27 M LW 0/0 Belgium FC

Right winger (outside right)
Amado Cavazos* 26 M RW 24/4 VLC FC (Eastfield Lodge)
Stefan Gill 20 M RW 0/0 FC Torshavn (Polar Islandstates)

The Bumblebees boast a wide range of attacking options while playing three true forwards and a pair of wingers in the Bears Armed style. Valentine Armstrong cut his teeth professionally with "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" during the Cymru three-peat. He is thus accustomed to all three forward roles in a typical Ursine front end. Emily Howell is captain and top scorer for Islands Cup XLIII champions Parisian. Amado Cavazos just signed a multi-year contract in Eastfield Lodge. Courtney Keisler continues to take after her dad at Belgium (and has all but forsworn the pitching mound). Bearchan O'Dea provides traditional in-the-box scoring punch for a National eleven newly risen to the UICA top fifty. All five front-end starters have won at least 20 caps and are quite used to playing with each other. Three of the five backups along the front are expected to debut in qualifying, the most notable being former Maribor winger Stefan Gill who will now be playing in Rushmore for Polar Islandstates club FC Torshavn.

Rearwards

Left half
Coll Brodie* 22 M LH 37/2 Jungle Strike FC (Vilita)
Reagan Hope 25 F LH 2/0 Bloomfield National

Right half
Dirk Oyler* 23 M RH 13/5 Sporting Boulder
Mike Ryan* 25 M RH 9/0 OGC Nancy

Lynchpin (centre midfielder/defender)
Ava Gillespie* (captain) 30 F LY 29/2 FC Torshavn (Polar Islandstates)
Noemi Alba Delgadillo* 21 F LY 23/1 Far Point Islanders

Left back
Saturnino Valle Barajas* 33 M LB 81/3 Great Falls Cymru
Brianna Brown* 26 F LB 7/0 Sporting Boulder

Right back
Joey Baldwin* 26 M RB 50/1 Far Point Islanders
(Baldwin dismissed from squad after eight rounds of qualifying)
Jacob Maclaren* 27 M RB 9/0 Parisian

With nine of the ten central midfielders and backs returning from World Cup 61, the casual observer could be forgiven for presuming that not much had changed. Nothing could be further from the truth. Hall of Famer Nancy Svoboda is now a mother and partner in an expanding football consortium, and Katja Mira took over the reins at Sporting Boulder from Matt Chauvin and promptly won a championship. But Cymru's captain Saturnino and Islanders' captain Joey Baldwin are still on the back line; in this setup they are the back line. Ava Gillespie was the unanimous pick as the new Bumblebees captain after Svoboda retired; she takes on the challenges of both that role and the new lynchpin spot with the same upbeat attitude that helped her beat back cancer a few years ago. Coll Brodie slips comfortably into one half back slot similar to his defensive midfielder role in Vilita, and Sporting's Dirk Oyler moves from winger to half back in advancing to a starting role.

Keepers

Goalkeeper
Kaitlyn Miller* 29 F GK 68/3 Bloomfield National
Maria Carrizales* 22 F GK 10/0 FK Maribor

A large number of sport pundits are starting to back Kaitlyn Miller as the greatest Babbage keeper ever. But she is the first to suggest that the credit belongs to the exceptional talent in front of her. "Solveig and Elisabeth never had a back line like Nancy, Katja, Saturnino, and Joey." Both Miller and backup Maria Carrizales have recent championships under their belts for National and the Violets respectively.

Set pieces

Valentine Armstrong or Emily Howell takes penalties, Howell or Amado Cavazos takes corners, and Coll Brodie, Dirk Oyler, or Kaitlyn Miller takes free kicks.

RP permissions

An opponent who RPs first may assign my scorers, may assign yellow cards to my team but not red cards, and may assign injuries to my team members with anticipated unavailability of one game or less. Please do not godmod.

Qualifying stadium

In a switch from past practice, the Bumblebees will play all their home qualifiers at a single stadium. The U.F.O. (Universal Football Oval) in Cardston, Gibson, is a retractable-roof all-seater facility recently upgraded to officially seat 40,004. It is home to regional league club Cardston FC and the Babbage code team Cardston Space Cadets, and the stadium has hosted top-flight play in at least seven football codes. The city of Cardston is the home of the Babbage space program, and that community identification shows throughout this cutting-edge design. Overseas visitors will most often fly into Wye International Airport on South Island and then connect on One Big Airline to the optimistically-styled Spaceport Babbage just outside Cardston.

Swyftlandre Football Team in World Cup 62

Postby Swyftlandre » Sat Oct 13, 2012 5:19 am

While Swyftlandre performs under the name of Swyftlandre, their Republican friends to the South, Swyftherth, are also included in their team.

Formation: 4-2-3-1
Style Mod: +1.5

Swyftlandre had traversed through countless oddities both on the Swyftlandre side and their many opponents, facing a number of Deaths, connected to a mysterious Mr. York, who in a odd turn of events, turned out to be Bryson Kody of the Independent party. But this seems hardly odd when compared to the other teams, the Yelvodian' side had entered Badgers and the Azox team considered of Geometrical shapes...but after fighting through all these teams, they finally came out on top, winning the Aguazul side and losing out after an intense battle with Svengarda, losing on penalties at 3-1. Swyftlandre is now entering their first World Cup Qualifiers, in an ambitious attempt to enter the World Cup 62.

Anyway, as for the team, the power team that performed only three months ago in the Baptism of Fire will mostly consist of the same team, although a few tweaks to the team have been made.

Manager - Ansgar Njord
After Ludvig Nels' shock retirement after only two major tournaments, following the Mr. York incident. Filling his shoes is Ansgar Njord, whose origin is actually from Swyftlandre's island cousins Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne, while not very successful on a global scale, heading the worst team in the Campionato Esportiva, he leads the most successful Domestic team in Aiz-Dorne, Aizenhelm Defenders.

Position:Player:Information:
GoalkeeperStevie RedmundGoalkeeper for the Xan Isles Giants, winner of two Swyftlandre Champions Leagues' and one Emperors Scepter, Stevie Redmund is a huge contributor to this excellent success, in the last League, under his watch, he failed to stop only eight goals and never conceded more than one goal a match where it is notable that he is prone to acting weakly within the opening ten minutes, where most of these goals occurred.
GoalkeeperJames MarleyThe Marley family is of interesting descent, which is most likely known to even those who don't follow football. Why? because his Grand-dad had run and successfully attained the position of Premier (under rule of Union Isle) over Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne for two successful terms. But Marley is far-from politics, instead spending his life catching balls for San Trien FCC. While he does not share an as impressive track record as Redmund, he is still a reliable ally for any team.
DefenderUilleag DannyA mediocre player at best, Uilleag plays for the Sianford Tigers, probably only getting in due to his friendly-ness with the Managing staff. However, it's not all bad for Danny, who can, on rare occasions, have sparks of brilliance, sometimes accounting for 2 or 3 goals in a single match, however rare this may be, we can only hope he finds it in himself to continue that trend.
DefenderSacheverell WebsterSacheverell was only intended to be a temporary replacement following the deaths in the Baptism of Fire, but after immense skill shown in the Semi-Finals and Finals of the Baptism of Fire, narrowly missing a goal that would have meant victory for the team. He shows excellent skill when defending as well, brilliant at tackling but unfortunately, fairly indecisive at several vital points within the game.
DefenderBevis MylesOne of two foreign players, Bevis Myles reigns from the New Rushmore team in Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne and the best defender the nation has seen, to play abroad will be a breath of fresh air for Bevis, as he was forced to avoid the Campionato Esportiva III after spraining a ancle.
DefenderJohn RaynerAnother player from the Xan Isles Giants and a brilliant choice, John Rayner has been thrown around different teams like a rag doll, when he played as a Forward, however, when the Xan Isles Giants took him on during the U21 League, they unlocked his potential, training him as a Defender instead of a forward, now three years on, he will once again play for his nation.
DefenderDónal AbnerVice-Captain for the team, Abner is more powerful in seeing and deducing problems before they occur, although. Once a master of the sport, a household name in Swyftlandre, he has fallen to the worst opponent, age and at the age of thirty-seven, it's questionable whether he should still be playing, but this question will be answered in due course.
DefenderElmo SachiePerhaps the best defender in the crew, Sachie hails from Sveinhart FC, original winners of the Champions League. Sachie is a tough customer who is reliable defensively and outstanding going forward as he regularly overlaps the midfielder before either crossing or passing the ball inside to a team-mate. His name is defiantly expected to show up plenty of times on the local press.
Mid-FielderTrenton ZinkloffImage Trenton Zinkloff comes from Springmont, a nation to which we have little knowledge. But that doesn't mean this purchase is a bad idea, taken under the wing of Giants of Tinespess, this Mid-Fielder has shown exponential skill in taking Penalties, a tipping point in Swyftlandre's various football campaigns.
Mid-FielderSeanán LawrieThe Boccia Rangers Mid-Fielder came in following the first half of the Swyftlandre Champions League and rocketed them from the bottom of the league to First Position. When he left the league, due to a torn ligament, the team suffered a number of fatal losses, suggesting that the Boccia Ranger player has some ounce of brilliance about him and by watching his play, it can be seen why he has been selected for the team
Mid-FielderKiefer WinfredAnother Xan Isles Giants player and for good reason, Winfred has personally seen 12 Goals pass in his name during the Champions League. He has been condemned however, for being caught drunk on many occasions, with uncertainty that he will participate in the cup, with the promise that he can participate if he lays off the drink during the competition, on pain of suspension.
Mid-FielderJayden ClintonThe Boy Wonder, while only 19, Jayden has been able to best some of the greatest teams in Swyftlandre due to his 'out of this world' speed and ability to make quick responses. While he has been untested in a Over 21 team, Jayden is expected to shine.
Mid-FielderDrake EdwinDrake Edwin plays for the Red Forest Rangers and is constantly the target of Racist abuse. Edwin's skill however, is nothing above average, but it would seem that he has been included in the team for the past year to avoid the claims of Racism against the S.F.A.
ForwardJordan HunterThe Forward from Sigport FC is a bad choice, having lost the ball in his attempts to strike more often than he actually got a chance to score. Although, his addition to the team is most probably due to his skill in taking Penalties, the only thing he's actually good at.
ForwardShouta BurtonThe star of Union Isle football has been booked by the Sveinhart Serpents, for the next season, but is expected to be a large goal scorer for the Aiz-Dorne side. He made his name in Football History during the 48th Baptism of Fire, when he took the team to the finals, scoring over half of the goals that made their name. Shouta is looking to continue his momentous campaign, saying, "I will do everything in my power to make sure my new team come home with a Victory to their name." Ambitious certainly, but that's what saw Shouta impress during the Baptism of Fire.
ForwardDeonte FishOnce you get past the initial jokes about his name, you find a largely impressive Forward here. From Tinespess FC. Deonte Fish and partner Riordan Ansel have been seen playing strong passing tactics that will be strengthened with Shouta Burton's appearance. Fish has a interesting past story, he was raised by a fishing family that operated on the Xan Isles, however, a ship gone adrift was the reason Deonte found his interest in football. He was stranded on Ansel Island for a week, while he stayed refuge and eventually began to play football with fellow Forward Riordan Ansel, this sparked his love of football that in an odd-turn of fate, led to him meeting Riordan again.
ForwardRiordan AnselRiordan Ansel comes from the small island of Ansel Island, the smallest island in the 300-odd archipelago, the Xan Isles, hence his name Ansel. His small island home may have been his claim to fame, when he and his school mates played together, he would dominate the pitch, often scoring up to 12 Goals a game. As he grew in age, his Goal Count decreased as he met more formidable foes but his skill on the pitch was something not to go un-noticed, especially when he came to play for the
ForwardLayton ProinsiasWhile he is not too well known, his story is nothing short of fascinating, claiming 'Football saved my Life'. In the City streets of San Swyft, he became a thug. Being arrested plenty of times due to his petty robberies and fights. He was enrolled into a rehabilitation program, which involved Football, it wad from here his skill was noticed. Since then, he was invited to join the school's team, where he led a life of football, football and more football. Drawing him away from crime. Since then, he has joined up with Tinespess City, becoming a average goal scorer and reliable substitute
ForwardGresham RalfRalf is a brilliant figure, although often goes un-noticed, but for once, he managed to find his name on a National Team Sheet. This is most defiantly a blessing, as Ralf has led Sveinhart FC to victory in the Swyftlandre Champions League and to forth place in the Emperors Scepter as captain in the team.
