The Golfers Tour of Beldonia is just that--a tour. Tournaments are played every weekend, spanning over four days on a different course each time. These tournaments are strictly individual; there is no team play. However, those golfers who may have participated in team tournaments are more than welcome to be individual tour golfers.
Official rankings will be kept. The rankings will be based on performance in tournaments, and each tournament varies in how far it will go in increasing a golfer's world ranking. For example, a good performance in a major tournament with an extremely strong field will go further than a good performance in a less important tournament that many golfers have chosen to pass over. Note that the world rankings will be based on average points attained in a tournament rather than cumulative points.
A money list will also be kept. Although certain special tournaments may offer more or less money, each tournament will generally award the same amount of total prize money, with the amount of money won for each position in the field also fairly standard.
The number of tournaments held per season will depend on the interest. If there is a fine response, then more tournaments will be held--more RP fun for everyone. However, if interest is limited, then expect a short tour with a lot of important tournaments concentrated into a short amount of time.
Xkoranate will be used to find the results of each tournament. Each course will be different in terms of yardgae, sand traps, water hazards--everything. Golfers may be modified by world ranking and recent performance; RPing is encouraged and RP bonuses are standard.
Please sign up no more than ten golfers per nation. Even with this restriction, not every golfer that a nation signs up will participate in every tournament. Each one has a limited number of spots, with certain criteria for which players automatically get entry. However, there will still be a qualifying round early in the week, so even those players who don't have a free pass will undoubtedly have a chance to play that week. Additionally, golfers are not allowed to sign up for more than five tournaments in consecutive weeks--that's just unrealistic. Plan accordingly so that your best golfers are able to play in the most important tournaments.
There will be four major tournaments held throughout the season. The Beldonian Masters has a very limited field and is reserved for the best of the best; it is an invitation only event and no qualifying will be held. The Beldonian Open and Open Championship at the Forest Highlands have similar criteria for automatic entry; however, there is a qualifying round for the players who perform extremely well. The GTB Championship stands out in that it is a major tournament that has normal criteria for qualifying.
More details, including course, qualification info, prize money, etc., will come shortly before the qualifying round of each tournament.
