Cup of Harmony 52: Ancharmunn and Yesopalitha

Welcome, invited nations, to the fifty-second edition of the Cup of Harmony, hosted by the Rushmori nation of Ancharmunn and the Mystrian nation of Yesopalitha. Although none of the teams invited here reached the ultimate goal of qualifying for the World Cup, we wish you all the best of luck as you chase the Cup of Harmony.

Format:
There will be eight groups of four teams, of teams specifically invited by TG only. Ancharmunn will host Groups A-D scorinated by Yesopalitha and Yesopalitha will host groups E-H scorinated by Ancharmunn. After a single round robin, the top two teams will advance to the Round of 16, which will be held in this fashion: A1 vs D2, B1 vs C2, and so on. Host Information

Yesopalitha is an island nation of about five million peoples located in the region of Mystria. Known for the various races in the area (Dwarves, Elves, Men, Changelings, Beastlings, Treefolk, and various Unbidden), Yesopalitha is truly a country of Harmony. Football in Yesopalitha is second only to the fervor that basketball grips the country with, but football is even beginning to overtake that.

Stadia:

Group E matches will be held in Western Yesopalitha, in the City of Wolvesbane. For every matchday, the first listed match will be held at The Boneyard (Cap. 26,000), a popular stadium used for state championship games in high school. The second match will be hosted by Les Larmes (Cap. 25,124), which the Yesopalithan national team trains in during the off-season.

Group F matches will be held in the Capital of Yesopalitha, Freedom's Altar. The first match will be held in The Sacred Heart (Cap. 144,000), the crowning jewel of Yesopalithan sports. The second match of each matchday will be held in La Jumbotron (Cap. 31,200), a place that holds the Yesopalithan Sports Festival every year, and will be the home of Unbidden United in the upcoming Premier Season.

Group G matches will be held in East Yesopalitha. The City of Denal-Ithorn will host the first Match of every Matchday, at The Palace of Past at Present (Cap. 55,000), a stadium built in honor of Tarahal, the White Knight of Denal-Ithorn. The second match will be hosted by the city of Hansbrough at The Turtle Shell (Cap. 44,400).

Group H matches will be held in the city of Etoile, known as the capital of green energy in Yesopalitha. The first match will be hosted at GE Dome (Cap. 33,400), a place that derives 33% of its power from natural sources, and the second match will be hosted at Perseverentia Saeculorum (26,000), a stadium built in honor of the nation's motto, "Perseverance without End".

Playoff Venue Schedule:
E1 vs F2 - The Boneyard (Cap. 26,000)
G1 vs H2 - GE Dome (Cap. 33,400)
H1 vs G2 - The Palace of Past at Present (Cap. 55,000)
F1 vs E2 - La Jumbotron (Cap. 31,200)

Final - The Sacred Heart (Cap. 144,000)

Ancharmunn is a small country of roughly four and a half million people located within the Vatmark continent in eastern Rushmore. Together with it's neighbour Aels it is a constituent country of the Celtic Union of Tyneala. With a strong Gaelic culture the country has seen a large increase in population in the last decade or so, primarily due to a mass influx of immigration from Sorthern refugees fleeing the civil war which brought about the demise of their homeland. The capital Ballyfeeaknock is the only real metropolitan area of a country which is largely rural. However with small cities and towns such as Ballymairead, Sayercooan and Caernankry growing in size the population of Ancharmunn is one that is becoming more urbanised.

Stadia

Eilifint Bhán National Stadium – Ballyfeeaknock – 53,683
The centrepiece of the Charmunnry section of the bid the National Stadium is a shiny new national stadium for Ancharmunn. How necessary such a large stadium is for soccer within the country had been the subject of much debate, and for many much irony. Eilifint Bhán – the bank whose sponsorship largely financed the host bid – translates to 'white elephant'. Nonetheless the stadium has received much praise since opening for it's excellent facilities, transport links and superb vantage points throughout.

Avongarran – Caernankry – 32,000
The use of Avongarran for the Cup of Harmony has caused something of a storm. One of the famed homes of the Gaelic games within Ancharmunn's it's use for soccer has been bitterly opposed by the notoriously conservative Gaelic Games Association. This will not be it's first use for an international event however, a number of matches at the 10th Rugby League World Cup were held at the stadium, noticeably without objection from the GGA.

Páirc Mairéad – Ballymairead – 42, 490
Deeply unloved and unwanted, and for the vast majority of people, simply unneeded. Whilst the National Stadium has taken a lot of flack for being a white elephant in waiting few would disagree that Páirc Mairéad trumps it. With one of Ballymairead two clubs having finished in the top three of the National Soccer League for the past five seasons there can be no doubting that the city is a hotbed for the sport within the country. Despite this though the Old Chicken Ranch ground shared by Ballymairead Town and Ballymairead Dynamos and nearly a tenth of the size of the newly built Páirc Mairéad with a capacity of 4,500 is rarely in any danger of overspilling. Authorities have been keen to move the two Ballymairead clubs into the new ground, but so far both clubs have been even keener to remain put.

Free Stone Stadium – Drayfill (Aels) – 19,000
The national stadium of Aels, and until recently the largest soccer stadium in Tyneala, the Free Stone is quite possibly the only ground in the Tynealan half of the competition seen as useful. As well as hosting league playoffs, cup finals and the occasional Ancharmunn national team match, the ground serves as Dinas Drehil's home throughout the National Soccer League Season.

The grounds to be used on each given match day will be as follows -
MD1 – Group A: National Stadium double header - Group B - Avongarran double header - Group C : Páirc Mairéad double header - Group D: Free Stone Stadium double header
MD2 – Group A: Páirc Mairéad double header - Group B: Free Stone Stadium double header - Group C: National Stadium double header - Group D: Avongarran double header
MD3 – Group A: 2 vs 4 Free Stone Stadium, 3 vs 1 Páirc Mairéad – Group B: 2 vs 4 National Stadium, 3 vs 1 Avongarran – Group C: 2 vs 4 Avongarran, 3 vs 1 National Stadium – Group D: 2 vs 4 Páirc Máiread, 3 vs 1 Free Stone Stadium

Round of 16
RoS1: Group A winners vs. Group B runners up (Avongarran)
RoS2: Group C winners vs. Group D runners up (Free Stone Stadium)
RoS3: Group D winners vs. Group C runners up (Páirc Mairéad)
RoS4: Group B winners vs. Group A runners up (National Stadium)

Quarter-finals
QF1: RoS1 vs. RoS2 (Páirc Mairéad)
QF2: RoS3 vs. RoS4 (National Stadium)

Semi-finals
SF1: QF1 vs QF2 (National Stadium)

The players are listed in very rough priority order by position (first listed are somewhat more likely to play). Formations could be a 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 5-3-2, 5-4-1, anything goes really but mostly with a defensive bent.

Marsinee has chosen the players with an eye for club balance, though not to the degree of his predecessor. He is the former manager of Attereg GU, a team very self-conscious about its home city's relative isolation. In fans' eyes, their success is a way to put the city on the map. Can he do the same for the country?

Well, maybe. The tenth-place finish at the Brevity Challenge Cup came as a pleasant surprise, but don't expect a lot of national pride following this team. It's an open secret that Earent's first World Cup qualification run will probably be its last, with this being mostly a way to raise money for the league and its clubs by showing off an all-star team across the country, and in all probability, showing it off by losing. (After the World Cup qualifiers we amend, also by drawing.) There's a lot of xenophobia here, both in a "darn Bigtopians stealing our jobs" sense and "terror of being squished between giant countries who could crush us like bugs" sense, so no one's too concerned if we're not long for the World Cup world.

A recent development in Earental football is the advent of "nidjing;" creating as if by magic (but actually due to science, somehow), a "psychic" link between individuals compatible in some identifiable way. At least when applied to footballers, the results are somewhat increased levels of physical awareness--perhaps they'll be able to know where to pass to the other, even with a poor line of sight. Generally this is done artificially, but in recent seasons, other pairs have "clinked" or formed such a link without resorting to science. Of course, it's by no means a cure-all; teams with successful pairs (or "nidjfoges") can and regularly do lose to teams without, but Lemond Toneler and Laynin Brathis' success as a unit at Ousteeble is part of the reason why they've been called up.

Moreover, Toyvin Vish and Talia Wonker have somehow clinked as part of a triad with Raysil McFree (an prodigious Bigtopian at Stroyfungul who hasn't been naturalized, unfortunately for this team). The Brevity Challenge Cup suggested that there shouldn't be many ill effects even if she stays back in Kolpuung while they travel the world, so the other two youngsters have joined the national team under the physios' watchful eyes. They could potentially be game-changers coming in off the bench, or alternatively could be toothless on their own, as their Next-Gen Tournament form suggested, and their club form is quite erratic.

Though they weren't the greatest in the qualification run, there were at least no crises and another adventurous callup has been made for the CoH. Vofe Santee's former nidjlome (linkee) is now coaching at their club, and won't be accompanying the national team, but he should be fine on his own/alongside the rest of the defense.

Our first-choice kits are gold with green sashes. Our second-choice kits are white with Earental pink numbers and names (Earental pink is sort of a laughingstock, even within Earent). And our goalkeepers wear teal jerseys with black numbers and names.

The Legalese National Team Roster for the 52nd Cup of Harmony:

Some quick (semi-OOC) notes:
- Kit number, Club side, as well as the current age of the player is listed. All players are currently registered with domestic sides, with one exception noted. Ages are now updated to the Cup of Harmony
-Our style modifier will be +4.

And now, for the squad:

(The Usual) Starters:
GK: 1 - Stan Thate, 31, Rhinos. The starter for the national side in the last qualifying campaign, as well as the keeper for the AOCAF run, Thate remains a modestly consistent force in goal, though some high-scoring displays from the opposition in qualifying do put him on the hot seat. This is his 3rd Cycle with the NT, and 2nd and Starter.
D: 2 - Phil Livingston, 28, Cragland Climbers. This is Phil's 2nd Cup Cycle, with 37 international appearances.
D: 3 - Liam Todd, 24, Argyle Warriors. Todd replaced team captain Gus Langdon in the starting eleven, and has acquitted himself well, with two goals in this cycle so far.
D: 4 - Joe Ellsworth, 26, The Knights of Tiberia. Ellsworth has 27 starts and 29 appearances to his name, with this being his first time in the lineup during qualifying.
DM: 5 - Sam Washington, 25, Bob's Towing. Sam is known for his ability to play back as a fourth defender if necessary, but will generally press forward. His AOCAF XXXIV performance helped him earn his cup slot, in which he scored his first and second international goals.
M: 6 - Gerard Torrens, 30, LC Capitals. Gerard has earned 38 caps in his three prior World Cup campaigns and an AOCAF run.
M: 7 - Monte Kelshimer, 23, Tiberian City. Monte, only elevated to the XI this cycle, has shown some strong play with Tiberian City, and kept it up during qualifying. He has eighteen previous appearances with the NT.
M: 8 - Archie Sanroman, 31, Ellentown Exempts. Archie is a bit of an old hand for the NT, leading the side with 46 caps, including sixteen of them while wearing the Captain's armband this cycle.
F: 9 - Garry Maharry, 25, Bob's Towing. Garry was named to the team as a reserve, but was swapped in as the withdrawn forward for his club striking partner, Jimmy Jay. He's had ten international starts and 11 appearances, and inherits his club number, nine, from Del Bialek, who has left the NT.
F: 10 - Jimmy Jay, 24, Bob's Towing. Jay has a history of being hot and cold; he electrified in AOCAF 34, scoring ten goals in five matches, then scored another four goals in qualifying; flash forward to the next AOCAF, and Jay finds himself benched mid-way through. He came back on, initially as a withdrawn forward, but scored six goals since moving up top with Bassford.
F: 11 - Kelvin Bassford, 25, FC Sandside (Civil Citizenry) Kelvin may be Legalese's first true international star - a heck of a feat, for a 250-year-old country. He skipped the last AOCAF, but has apparently smoothed things over with Cushing, and returned to the lineup, adding ten more goals to his international total, which stands at 20. The shades only come off when on the pitch.

Reserves:
12 - Roy Whitcraft, 25, Ostia Ostriches (D)
13 - Max Todd, 21, Argyle Warriors (D) - Max is Liam's younger brother, and while not a surprise for the bigger qualifying roster, is a bit of a shocker to be picked over Leonard Dobrun for the CoH roster. Whether he will actually see playing time, however, is anyone's guess.
15 - Jack Wayne, 22, Brecorn City (M)
16 - Roger Maur, 26, Rhinos (F)
17 - Fred Rutledge, 23, Francis City (F)
18 - Reuben Hascal, 27, Okerson United (GK)
19 - Bobby Johnson, 23, Selinstown Chiefs (GK) - Bobby, as per the Cushing-era numbering conventions (expected lineup is 1-11, reserves are 12-18), is with the team as a potential replacement, though only in the case of an injury (or severe meltdown in play) to either keepers.

Manager: Gabe Cushing
Assistants: Mark Barbour and Hamish McKinley

RP Permissions:
My opponent, if they RP first, may take any and all liberties that they permit their opponents to take with their RPs; should you have not posted a roster, you may take no liberties whatsoever. My only request is to limit the total death and dismemberment of my team, especially since they are not a team of simulacra, unlike some others in my group.

Oh, and for visual reference, these are the kits. Assume we're mainly wearing black (unless we're the second-listed team and it becomes un-wearable).

Yesopalitha Flames Cup of Harmony 52 Squad

Manager: Sir James Handel
After one cycle in which Yesopalitha didn't finish very well, Sir James Handel led the Flames to a Round of Sixteen finish in the fifty-first Cup of Harmony. In the process, he has been signed for at least the next three world cups, with the hopes that one of those years, Yesopalitha will actually qualify. The man loves his team as much as he loves his bottle of cherry sherry, but he is a mastermind of tactics in football, and has a special bond with his players. There is no pressure on him to do well this World Cup; Yesopalithans like relevancy better than success... for now.

The Formation: 3-5-2 (-1 Style Modifier)

The Yesopalithan game has started to become one based on solid defense and rapid counterattacks that catch the other side off balance. The side wingers in the midfield are responsible for helping out the defense as much as required and to push the ball up to the middle three midfielders and the two forwards. There won't be many close-up goals, and headers are almost unheard of except via corner kicks. For Yesopalitha to win by more than two goals in a game is for the team to have a good offensive game. On defense, they concentrate on keeping the ball away from the penalty box; if this means committing a foul and giving up a free kick, they'll give up that free kick. At times, the goalkeeper is called to be the lone man guarding the net, and he/she must be able to face one-on-one situations...

The Starting XI

Goalkeeper: #0 Jonah Calhoun Age: 21 Height: 6 feet, 6 inches

Jonah Calhoun has been thrust into the starting goalkeeping spot with Patricia Sweeney having to retire due to a brain condition. He does not do very well with set pieces, but is very good with the flow. Reports say that he has been spending time with the Vander Rox sisters practicing set pieces so that he won't have a weak spot in his game. If his teammates help him out at all in the defensive side, he has the potential to be a superstar. He could've possibly signed with a foreign side in the offseason for club play, but with the Yesopalitha Sports Committee planning on instituting a Premier League next season, he held off, and will be one of the biggest names to sign on the new Yesopalitha Premier League. He has endless potential... Can he get over his fear of set pieces?

Defender: #22 Noah Galvin Age: 24 Height: 6 feet, 3 inches

Noah didn't have the best inaugural season with the Hoxford Rovers of Valladares, but the defender knew that a good club team wouldn't have snatched a low-profile defender from a not-yet established country like Yesopalitha. Noah's biggest plus is his selfless attitude to sacrifice his body in whatever way necessary to help the team. This does mean that he gets injured more than the most, but when he is on the field, he gives 120%. He handles the left side of the defensive part of the team, and does an admirable job.

Defender: #19 Naisi Von Helz Age: 18 Height: 6 feet, 2 inches

With Mikrail Josun retiring after one stint with the national team, the team will only have one non-human this season. Instead, they get Naisi Von Helz, a promising youngster from the town of Wolvesbane. He caught the eye of Sir James when he reportedly stole the ball from Hilary Vander Rox five times in a charity game. It takes a special person to take the ball from HVR once, yet five times... There are questions to be answered by this kid, but with Noah and Michael beside him, and Jonah guarding the goal, this might be the time for Sir James to test out a new player.

Defender: #44 Michael Kevin Age: 21 Height: 5 feet, 7 inches

Signed by RC Corania of Valladares, he helped the side not get relegated. He might be of diminutive height, but he is a fearsome tackler and a fundamentally sound player. If there is a weak spot in his game, it's taking one-on-one situations in the open field. Many consider he and Noah to be the best defenders in all of Yesopalitha, and with them being so young, the potential for them are very high...

Midfielder: #58 Ivan Dostoevich Age: 25 Height: 6 feet, 5 inches

Known more as "Nadya's cousin", Ivan has been quietly contributing for the national team. He might not be assisting or scoring goals, but he is one of the wingers, and hence, responsible for the rapid pushing the ball up the wings that the Yesopalithan game has come to be defined for. He will always bee the man behind the curtains, working to push the ball up and not getting enough credit. Celtic Southland didn't have the best season, but Ivan is learning the ways of playing football in The Babbage Islands.

Midfielder: #42 Isaac Jack-Bentley Age: 21 Height: 6 feet, 2 inches

It is true that the Yesopalithan game will always be centered around Hilary Vander Rox and Jane for years to come, but Isaac Jack-Bentley has shown that he can take over in games if he has to. He is a magnificent striker. He will have to continue to bedazzle in his game if he is to help the Vander Rox sisters qualify for their first World Cup.

Midfielder: #55 Hilary Vander Rox Age: 24 Height: 6 feet, 4 inches Captain

Hilary enters her third qualification campaign, hungrier than ever. She is the unquestionable leader of the team and the face of Yesopalithan football. Her game doesn't lack much - she can dribble, pass, shoot, head the ball, take set pieces, make penalties... And her leadership skills are apparent in that all of her teammates look up to her and follow her directions. It may be Sir James Handel that institute tactics for the beginning of the game, but it is Hilary that calls out modifications that she observes among the other side's tendencies. This team will only go as far as Hilary leads them, and that is that.

Midfielder: #7 Fantasia Cecile-Marie Age: 23 Height: 5 feet, 11 inches

After making international headlines as the first female football player in Astograth's Premier League, the young woman who came out of nowhere to make the team last cycle has proven herself to be a valuable asset for the Flames. Her finesse in the face of adversity is the most valuable aspect of her game, as well as her selfless style of passing the ball to Jane, Hilary, or one of the forwards to finish the attack. She won't take many shots herself, but the ones that she does take will most likely yield great results, for she is one of those players that control when she shoots for the hope that her shots will matter.

Midfielder: #35 Jane Vander Rox Age: 22 Height: 6 feet, 0 inches Vice-Captain

One of the most interesting stories in the offseason was Jane Vander Rox stating that she would not keep playing for North Woodlands of Civil Citizenry. It is true that the Citiz League became franchised and therefore she would have had to learn to play with a whole different crew of players; however, the real reason behind Jane asking to be released probably has to do with the formation of the Yesopalithan Premier League. She, along with Jonah Calhoun, will be two of the most sought after players in the new league, and she seems ready to take the spotlight from her older sister Hilary. Jane's game is modeled mostly after her sister's, as they have played each other in their backyards and across fields for years. However, Jane has a more instinctive edge to her play compared to Hilary's technical prowess. This means that Jane may make more mistakes than Hilary does, but she also causes things that shouldn't happen to happen because of the human factor. Truthfully, they even each other out... and Yesopalitha is fortunate to have both of them.

Forward: #21 Nadya Dostoevich Age: 21 (Forever stuck at 21) Height: 5 feet, 2 inches

The little speedster continues to impress opposing sides with her tenacity, endurance, and agility. The only non-human left on the team (She is a Vampire), Nadya makes a habit of streaking down the field, catching defenders off guard, and launching a shot that many say couldn't have come off her small right foot. At times, she can be a fireball, a little bit out of control as she goes after the ball, but with the Vander Rox sisters closely watching her, Nadya has become a more solid player. She and her cousin Ivan play for Celtic Southland of the Babbage Island League; they didn't have the best season last year, but they were still learning the Babbage game...

Forward: #77 Quincy Demetrius-Adams Age: 28 Height: 6 feet, 0 inches

Quincy behaved well the last cycle, and was not a cause of distraction to the team. He may not have a big of a profile as the rest of his teammates, but he still tries hard and gives all the credit back to the team. He will also be playing domestically next year, and that might be a time when he can come out of his shell and express himself fully without being reprimanded. For now, he'll suit up in the Yesopalithan Black and White, and take the field to hopefully help the Vander Rox sisters and the rest of the team get a few more wins this cycle than they did last.

Reserves: These players make up the rest of the team. Details about them will come as they play.

Roster for Cup of Harmony 52

2x Cup of Harmony Champions
Post World Cup 26; Post World Cup 32

Head Coach: Mikael Gibbons (Darmen) - Appointed during WC 60 Qualifying

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 1 ] Ronji Miiastara [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Miiastara joined Marine Coast United in Vilita for their V-League 27 campaign in the Declasse, just the second ever for the club at that level. Miiastara was tasked with keeping the ball out of the net, and he did just that, helping lead Marine Coast United back to the Stellar Division at the first attempt leading up to V-League 28. After competing in the UICA 'B' Champions League, Marine Coast finished a respectable 7th place in the V-League but just missed out on a UICA place. Miiastara jumped ship to Kiiarana City in order to participate in the UICA Globe Cup prior to Season 29. While Kiiarana did not make the huge title push expected of them, Miiastara let in a career low 14 goals during Season 30, leading Kiiarana to a runner up finish in the Stellar Division and a place in the UICA Champions League.

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places.

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Nuakoi, a dual Vilitan & Turorian national, entered World Cup 58 qualifying uncapped and undeclared for either Nation. Nuakoi was widely expected to openly declare Turorian Nationality going into the qualifying, but with the rise of rival Ronji Miiastara, Nuakoi decided to leave the door open to a Vilitan return should he remain uncapped for Turori. After spending Season 26 and 27 at Turoki Isle, Nuakoi made the move to the Yeaddin Owls midway through Season 27 to become their #1 keeper. Nuakoi returned to Turoki during Season 29, joining the Turoki Tide as they finished runners up in the Stellar Division. Nuakoi was important in the Tide's success in the Tropical Trophy, the clubs first major Top-Level silverware.

DEFENDERS:

[ 2 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Konoaafeo was the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and was expected to be part of the Vilitan national team set up due to this fact. However, after not being capped during World Cup 57 Qualifying, and learning of Turori's intention to enter World Cup 58, Konoaafeo switched allegiances both for club and country. After playing half of V-League 26 with the Kionao Locals, Konoaafeo moved to Cednia Beach AFC where he would lead the Coconut Kickers to their second V-League championship, being named Turorian player of the season in the process.

[ 3 ] Lioniaa Tana [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 38 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Tana is one of the most athetlically skilled defensive players in the Turorian arsenal, although Tana's weakness shines in technical areas like heading and man to man marking. After starting their career at Vilitan side Rammsissil, Tana moved to Eastal Lunar FC during V-League 27, winning the Vilitan Cup with the team during Season 28 but relegation triggered a clause allowing Tana to return home to Turori with Cednia Beach AFC for Season 29.

[ 12 ] Diauro Dlaminii [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 33 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Dlaminii started his career at Vilitan lower league side Alona Sissil where he impressed greatly, warranting interest from all the top named V-League sides. Dlaminii eventually decided to head home to Turori, signing with Cednia Beach AFC where he competed in all of the clubs V-League 27 matches.

[ 5 ] Noa-isinao Wioauoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Noa-isinao Wioauoi ws a product of the Yeaddin Academy who caught the eye of one Yeaddin reporter at a training session doing ball handling tricks, and the shared video went viral, sparking a campaign including a fan website and even local town council requests to invite the youngster into the Vilita National Team training camp for World Cup 57. Wioauoi was invited to the camp, but never impressed coaches Massa and Wrice enough to be capped during the process. Wioauoi, born in Turori despite leaving in Vilita, accepted an invitation from the Football Association of Turori to train with them in preparation for a playing role in the World Cup 58 Qualifiers. After spending a season at Arcticala Inlet, Wioauoi moved to new Stellar Division competitiors Turoki Tide.

[ 4 ] Balariita Muzmaara [ - Terrarokka Spirit (Vilita) - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Muzmaara, one of the youngest players ever invited to a Turorian National Team training camp (Ignoring the Cocoboas), joining the Terrarokka Spirit during Season 27.

[ 61 ] Moia Fliporta [ - Laiotia Locals (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM L ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Fliporta started their career at Laiotia Locals in the Non-League system of Vilita. Known for aerobic ability such as speed, acceleration and the ability to jump higher than most anyone on the pitch, Fliporta is otherwise not particularly great at the technical aspects of the game.

UTILITY PLAYERS:

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 38 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 7 ] Rikko Rawaii [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 10 )
Rawaii's dribbling ability coupled with lightning pace make him a threat any time he touches the ball, to create something even from nothing with a few quick moves. Rawaii is not known so much as a goalscorer, instead, an opportunity creator. Rawaii was named Player of the Year at Arcticala Inlet during Season 26 and was named Turorian player of the year during Season 27 when Inlet won the Tropical Trophy. Rawaii would win the Stellar Division with Arcticala Inlet during Season 29 finishing second in the goalscoring race.

[ 17 ] Cediici Tzatzos [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M R ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 42 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
A determined winger, Tzatzos is a product of the Strike Academy and remained a bit-part player for the club when the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26. Tzatsos was part of Strike's Stellar Division winning Season 27 side while being named Turorian Player of the Season, but when the success did not repeat itself during Season 28, Tzatzos was transfered to Kiiarana City.

[ 13 ] Vrotaoa Lorasoiba [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 39 :: GOALS::SR: 5 )
Lorasoiba's impressive performances for Turoki United, including 5 goals during the V-League 26 season, earned a high-value transfer to top Vilitan side Arcticala Inlet AFC. While it took Lorasoiba some time to get settled into life on the big Island, Lorasoiba's performances were enough to get an invitation to the Turori National Training camp for World Cup 58.

[ 6 ] Raso Tareak [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 35 :: GOALS::SR: 4 )
Tareak joined Jlinal Cove FC in Vilita for V-League 26 helping the club to a respectable 8th place finish. In V-League 27, Tareak's peformances improved with a pair of goals helping Jlinal to an all-time best finish of 4th place in the standings. Tareak's impressive performances in Jlinal earned him a transfer, first to Turorian UICA Champions League representatives Cednia Beach AFC, then to the Yeaddin Owls for V-League 30.

[ 38 ] Tiika Diirotora [ - Strike (Vilita) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Diirotora is a dedicated and well travelled midfielder who made a name for themselves while leading Kiiarana City to the Vilitan Cup Final in V-League 27. After starting their career in the Liguon Valley, Diirotora made the leap to the Stellar Division for Season 27 and the move payed off with 4 goals and a post season transfer back home to Turori with mega-club Cednia Beach AFC. Diirotora spent a season at Makosile before joining Strike for Season 30.

[ 16 ] Rutaj Ranaso [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Ranaso moved from Turori to the nearby island of Turoki to play for Mavaloiao FC in the Vilitan Declasse when the league resumed for Season 26. After 2 strong seasons at the Declasse side, Ranaso joined Stellar Division side Eastal Lunar for V-League Season 28 and helped them win the Vilitan Cup despite relegation from the Stellar Division.

FORWARDS:

[ 8 ] Liinai Zakazaka [ - Jlinal Cove FC (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 40 :: GOALS::SR: 18 )
Zakazaka joined Jlinal Cove FC for the V-League 27 season and gained some attention back in Turori for their contribution to the 'Cove's impressive top-4 finish in the final standings. Zakazaka was named Jlinal Cove's top player during Season 28.

[ 18 ] Loala Kigoouao [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 32 :: GOALS::SR: 14 )
Kigoouao signed for Morata Valley FC for V-League 26 and instantly made an impact at the Vilitan club, earning Top Goalscorer honors in the Declasse while leading Morata Valley to Stellar Division Promotion. Kigoouao was unfazed by the higher level of competition, upping the goal count to 16 in Season 27 and firmly setting the expectation that they would be the go-to forward for the Turori National Team in World Cup 58. Kigoouao was named Morata Valley player of the season during Season 27 and 28. After many outstanding seasons at Morata Valley, Kigoouao joined the Turoki Tide for V-League 30.

[ 19 ] Jukkia Diijelhma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 17 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Born in Starblaydia, Diijelhma moved to Turori following V-League Season 26 to pursue a new career in the Island Emirate. Diijelhma was one of the few Kionao Locals players in their disasterous V-League 27 season to receive even neutral reviews. Despite scoring no goals on the season, the Striker showed some skill that was required for the Locals to avoid another relegation in Season 28, and also proved to be useful for the Turori National team.

[ 9 ] Anuh Ciniima [ - Morata Valley (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 23 :: GOALS::SR: 4 )
Ciniima was born in Turori to Misrantian parents before moving to Vilita to study and train for his sporting career. The unselfish striker joined Morata Valley after their promotion to the Stellar Division for Season 27 as a compliment to Turorian Striker Loala Kigoouao. Ciniima, while able to put the ball in the net when needed, has shown to be an expert decision maker, recording twice as many assists as goals inside the box.

The Karditan Robber Barons

Soccer is illegal in Karditan. Thus, this is a team of criminals.

Starting 11

GK- Emanuel Portico. One of the most successful petty thieves in all of Karditan, he is incredibly agile and specializes in predicting the movements of adversaries. This helps tremendously in stopping shots, espicially PKs. He is dating Sweet Swing.

DL- Left Wing. A Pegasus hitman who's wanted on several charges of vandalism and arson, suspected of using small tornadoes and lightning to destroy the rival businesses of his clients.

DLC- Dorian Berard. One of Wing's clients, Berard runs Hardcore Cola, Karditan's leading soda distributor (at least since Popsi Cola's headquarters mysteriously burned down.)

DRC- Carnac Carson. The biggest personality in Karditani crime, Carnac is the guy you go to when you need a hookup. Everyone who is anyone has grabbed a beer with him at one point or another.

DR- Ivory Hilt. A freedom fighter from Vashameer, a county on the disputed border between Karditan and the semi-autonomous state of Ibex, he's actually most famous as the finest goat model; his horns are nothing short of magnificent. However, his fame hasn't stopped him from personally leading the resistance movement to officially sever Ibex from Karditan and take Vashameer with it.

ML- Pierre Le'viore. Runs the largest brothel in Sinsinatti, which isn't illegal by itself, but also traffics incredible amounts of 'hard stuff' below the floorboards. Considering Karditan is pretty lax when it comes to drugs, that's saying something.

MC- Sweet Swing. The one member of the Robber Barons who isn't actually a criminal, Swing is the daughter of famous Karditinian golfer Tyre McIron. She is in a pretty serious relationship with Emanuel Portico.

MR- Lightning Heart. A buffalo with a bad temper. Really, that's it. More assault & battery convictions than you can shake a horn at. Isn't very swift, but few people will want to be in his way if he gets up to speed.

FL- Mario Cansetta. One of the higher-ups in Korzado's organization (see below), Mario is in charge of collecting protection fees in Sinsinatti as well as organizing the official unofficial street racing league of Karditan. He's generally good-natured (he tries to convince his clients to pay their fees because he genuinely doesn't want to teach them a lesson), and is fiercely competitive. He'll take some bad shots, but it's damn hard for defenders to keep up with him.

FC- Silveen Eleco. The Man in Karditan. He runs Eleco Industries, Karditan's largest electronics company. He inherited the moderately-sized business from his father, Sylvester, and grew it to enormous proportions with brilliant economics and some underhanded business practices. He organized the Robber Barons and put together their entry into the World Cup.

FR- Korzado. One of the few Zebras in Karditan, Korzado runs the Illineigh Mafia. His influence can be found in almost every successful business venture in Illineigh, as well as many in Detrot and Sinsinatti. A legion of all types of creatures serve him, and he might be the only thing richer than Eleco in Karditan- but he doesn't flaunt his wealth like Eleco does. Almost all of it is re-invested, whether in businesses or bribes.

Manager- Sucker Punch. A unicorn who's special ability is illusions of the nefarious kind, Punch is a strategic genius who plans to bring Karditan to the top. He runs the most successful corporate advertising/propaganda firm in Fillydelphia.

Substitutes

GK- Kroze (Zebra)
D- Mark Cheez
D- Jack Howitzer
D- Pick Pocket (Unicorn)
M- John Bum
M- Rain Out (Pegasus)

TEAM COWARDLY PACIFISTS:
The Chickens

Image
Our Mascot - Ms. Cluck-n-Peck

Play Style: Originally known as the Frightened Chickens, the CP football club has since dropped it's "frightened" moniker and is now known simply as The Chickens. The team lines up in a 6-3-1 formation; their overall strategy is to frustrate their opponents with defense and capitalize on small mistakes. Scoring is quite an ordeal for the Chickens, since they're rarely brave enough to venture very far into the opponent's side of the field - much less take a shot at the goal. The Chickens do score on occasion, much to their surprise.

Style Modifier: -5

International Record: 17-5-21 (WC Rank: 87th)

Coach: David "Duck" Encover

Starting Lineup:

GK – Franklin "Frankie" Faste
FB – Bertrand Wylee
FB – William Fleeman
CB - Brian Craven (C)
CB - Craig Wimpson
WB – Ryan Duckler
WB – Dennis Peacefield
CM – Steve Flinchmun (AC)
WM – Michael Yeller
WM – Samuel Sprinter
ST – Nathan Nuetralle

Substitute Players:

GK – Max Rundoff
DEF – Adam Hyder
DEF – Gregory Quieter
MID – Mathew Shivrson
MID - Michael Cur

Faste

Wylee Fleeman
Craven Wimpson

Duckler Peacefield
Flinchmun
Yeller Sprinter

Nuetralle

Uniforms:
Image
  • The bronze stripe on the team's secondary uniform commemorates the team's third place finish in the 46th Baptism of Fire.
  • The team's first alternate uniform celebrates the team's invitation to the 2nd Brevity Challenge Cup, where they were awarded a Pewter Spoon.

Stadium: The Frightened Chicken's home stadium - The Chickendome - is located in the Armed Republic's capital city of Phrytton. All of the team's home matches are played there. The stadium's capacity is 15,000, with 1,000 seats reserved for fans of the away team. The "Chickens Fandom" is a group of ~2,000 dedicated, well-mannered Chickens fans who show up wearing chicken hats to nearly every match, clapping politely for the home team and quietly snickering at the away team.

WESTERN CUBAN NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM
Cup of Harmony 52

Image

The pattern continued for Western Cuba with another disappointing exit from the World Cup. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel. This qualifying run was Western Cuba's best yet. Now Western Cuba can prove themselves once more in the Cup of Harmony. First though Western Cuba must take away the bad luck that has plagued them the last two times they participated in the Cup. In the only two times Western Cuba participated, they failed to win a game. Western Cuba even failed to draw a game! This time around there is high hopes for Western Cuba. And maybe the possibility of winning a Cup of Harmony?

Information:
Rank: 72 (11.71) KPB Rankings
Formation: 4-3-3
Style Modifier: +1

Coaching Staff:

Manager: Anatoly Markin: The young former manager of the Havana City Titans. Markin has brought excitement to this young Western Cuba roster in both the Copa Rushmori and World Cup 60 qualifying. So far Markin has impressed, however he must lead his team to success in this edition of the Cup of Harmony.

Assistant Manager: Esteban Reyes: The retired soccer play and assistant for Markin on the Titans has proved to be vastly helpful for Western Cuba. Rumors have been shown that Reyes might accept a job elsewhere. The Mardi Lopunnies, San Diego, Santa Maria, and CF United Cotdelapomais football clubs have all expressed interest in Reyes for managing. Will this be Reyes last tournament as assistant coach for the national team? Hopefully it will end good.

Starting 11:

#1, Goalkeeper, Hector Diaz: Things have calmed down for the experienced veteran after solving a dispute with his Civil Citizenry club, Winding Street. Diaz brought Western Cuba its first major tournament win in the Copa Rushmori. Will he bring them another in the Cup of Harmony?

#5, Fullback, Shin Denisov: The young Tumbes FC fullback was an exciting addition to the national team until now. Since the Copa Rushmori his tenure with the team has been plagued with problems, on and off the field. Suddenly Alberto Perez seems like an angel.

#8, Center back, Esteban Sanchez: The 26 year old fan favorite of Ovalle United has proved to be valuable for the national team. His performance in this Cup of Harmony will just add to the excitement.

#3, Center back, Gabriel Ruiz: The young rookie from the Trinidad Knights has been relatively quiet throughout his tenure with the national team. Many are looking for him to stand out in this Cup of Harmony. He's the youngest player on the team though, so don't expect anything amazing.

#11, Fullback, Maximino Martinez: While Esteban has been great for the defense so far on this new national team. Max has been outstanding. He has stepped up to be the true leader on this defensive squad. The defense will prove based on how Max plays in this Cup of Harmony.

#22, Center Midfielder, Alberto Perez Redemption may have came to Perez. On and off the field Perez has played and behaved well since the Copa Rushmori. In fact several clubs have given Perez offers. This includes Mardi Lopunnies, and several clubs in Free South Califas. It has been rumored that Esteban Reyes has been offered a job at Mardi Lopunnies also. However it is most likely that Reyes will accept the job at CF United Cotdelapomais, which has offered Reyes quite a pretty sum of cash.

#18, Central Midfielder, Goyo Soto While his uncle, the President, may be having some trouble, Goyo is shining right now. Goyo has proved to be both an asset defensively and offensively. As of right now it looks like Goyo will be keeping his job unlike his Uncle.

#10, Central Midfielder, Cayo Vargas Cayo Vargas, the biggest name in soccer for Western Cuba besides Edgardo Mendoza may be getting older but still has it in him. Vargas had a solid season at Darmen City United and played well in the Copa Rushmori. It has been rumored though that Vargas may retire after this Cup of Harmony. Hopefully though it stays a rumor.

#19, Winger, Ricardo Calderón Konstantin Yevtushenko is out for the Cup of Harmony with problems with his ankle. Something he has seen before. In his place is young Calderón. While not the youngest player on the national team, Calderón is still playing in college. Something most players don't do in Western Cuba. Playing at Trinidad State has been handy for Calderón though. With the national team's training facility located in Western Cuba, Calderón has trained with them before. It will be very interesting to see how Calderón plays.

#11, Center Forward, Edgardo Mendoza Since World Cup qualifying, Edgardo Mendoza has only become an even bigger name for Western Cuba. For crying out loud, there has been debate to put him in the Hall of Fame already! Setting a record with five goals in a match against Waspeaters, Edgardo Mendoza only seeks to expand on this. Will he bring a win for Western Cuba in the Cup of Harmony?

#21, Winger, Tito Moreno Most of the goals scored in World Cup qualifying were by Mendoza, the other goals were mainly scored by Moreno though. Who proved to be an excellent combo with Mendoza during World Cup qualifying. Several clubs have taken notice as Knoxham, Pays de Croix, Tim City, and Bakersfield have all given Moreno offers. It will be exciting to see where Moreno goes.

GOALKEEPERS

Dru Holliday GK- Skyte City(QPeMA) #1, 7 Caps, 26 Years Old
Finally a chance to shine for the young man from Chinchinhua. For years he sat behind Drew Lichaj at Real Chinchinhua before moving over seas to Queer Poco, now with the retirements of both Goalies ahead of him he will have his chance to show his worth between the pipes. The coach will surely pull him fast if he fails to live up to the famous Taeshani Goalkeeping standards.

Ryleigh Voegael GK- Dragoste Dragons(Antoletia) #23, 0 Caps, 20 Years Old
The future in goal for the Knights, or so shes been told. Born on the little strip of land known as the Ivory Coast, Ryleigh quickly became a young sensation when signed to her first deal at 18. Now she starts for the Dragons as the only Taeshani National member from Antoletia.

Jon Obliski GK- New Capetown Falcons #22, 0 Caps, 26 Years Old
Not even a starter at New Capetown, but a loan spell at second division AFC FNK showed his brilliance in the season easily winning the second divisions clean sheet award. Still he is a surprise pick for the Cup of Harmony squad, and one wonders why hes been called up.

DEFENDERS

Emmanuel Johnson LB- Arcon(Saugeais) #2, 117 Caps, 30 Years Old
In what will likely be his last go around with the national team the big Taeshani Left Back will be looking to add another trophy to his, well to be fair non-existent trophy case. Emmanuel ended up not seeing much action late in the qualifying due to the switch to an offensive minded play, but the confidence in his defense seems to not have been an issue and it has warranted a return to the starting lineup.

Gloribell Stevenson CB- Laketown Rangers #3, 122 Caps, 29 Years Old
Well theres another player in the defense who has been around forever, and it seems another day. Well you know how the old saying goes, Qazox forever and Taeshan for a wee bit longer.

Theodore Vanswoi CB- Atlantea Hurricanes #4, 71 Caps, 27 Years Old
A key cog for both club and country, rumors have abounded for a while as to whether Vanswoi or a horse would win in a race due to his excessive backtracking skill. The real question should be whether or not he would outrun the mob yelling and screaming after him if he ever leaves Atlantea.

Maxwell Svenson RB- Bayern Phoenix #7, 122 Caps, 1 Goal, 30 Years OldCaptain
Not only will the left back be leaving this off season, the right back will join him. IT will be a sad day if the national team doesnt have continued success without their Fullbacks. He though will have his work cut out for him, Holliday has shown a pathetic inability to see the attack from the left side coming on, and sometimes shows bad depth skills.

Graham van Zant CB- Topher Graces(Civil Citizenry) #9. 26 Caps, 29 Years Old
I pity the fool who came up with that name, its horribly punny, Anyways Graham will get his chances to sub, thats for sure, its just whether or not it will be funner to watch the play from a seated position in the player area, or watch it from a defensive position as the Knights attack.

MIDFIELDERS

Wolfgang Galuba CDM- Bayern-Algaer #11, 39 Caps, 26 Years Old
Recently signed after a somewhat sub par world cup campaign, the former Atlantea Hurricanes defender is probably currently trying to forget the move from the hallowed grounds of Atlantea to FC Sandside, who dont even exist thanks to the change in Civil Citizenry's footballing system. Wolfgang will have his work cut out for him if he hopes to stay in this position

Gwyn Juniper LM- Nacionol(Valladares) #6, 123 Caps, 41 Goals, 27 Years Old
The men among boys, the Taeshani idol himself. With around four years or so left in his professional career Gwyn only has so much time to work himself into a position to forever be remembered among the likes of Brian Ying Uing, Zeke, and Tad Montague, before Ender Wiggin comes up and steals his thunder.

Cotton LaPaige RM- Los Riosa Monstas #12, 123 Caps, 11 Goals, 30 Years Old
Cotton LaPaige is the kinda guy everyone loves to love. Hes the big hero for the boys who come from the small city known as Moresville. That is, unless they are Moresville FC fans. The point is though ever since the return of the Knights to the international stage he has been the rock on the Taeshan offense, and one wonders what they will be like without him.

Ender Wiggin CAM- Dartmoor(FSSO) #8, 22 Caps, 8 Goals, 21 Years Old
Ever since he left the battle room, and team dragon Ender Wiggin has been the next big thing in taeshani soccer. Now he will have a chance to start for a whole tournament. Here it goes, the dynasty the team has been waiting for. The one man who shall leave everyone in the dust. If his head gets any bigger he will be able to fly.

Tobias Camelot LM- Baker Red Devils(Civil Citizenry) #15, 97 Caps, 5 Goals, 28 Years Old
The man has come of the bench in 97 games. That either shows the power hes has to bring a fire into the team, or the fact that maybe there is just really 12 men good enough to start for this team. Non one knows if he will ever start, but jeex to only play 30 minutes a game he sure has a boatload of caps.

Elijah Knickerbocker RM- Atlantea Hurricanes, #16, 48 Caps, 0 Goals, 27 Years Old
Also another high cap getter without a start. Elijah though was a late add on to the team, and sure hes been a great player in Atlantea but has never shown enough for A.F. to start him. Not that we are complaining with his ample playing time.

Kevin Hale RM- Available #19, 43 Caps, 29 Years Old
The old man of the team. Well it seems like it, he may not even be the old member of the team but that face, and that hair really makes me think that he is older. That or hes lying about his age.

Arturo Arthur CM- Mt Ceabring Thunder #33, 22 Caps, 28 Years Old
The double A is still around. With the season soon to start in Taeshan their are big hopes in MT Ceabring, and much of it around Arturo and his passing. But national team wise he is far down the list of importance. Really far.

Xavier Ptolemy CAM- Bayern-Algaer #25, 0 Caps, 21 Years Old
The Final new member of the national team. Xavier Ptolemy is one of the hot shot players in the Premier League. Long has he been tracked by foreign clubs and this could be the springboard for him to launch into waters in a far off land.

STRIKERS

Ezekiel Catamount LS- SK Nethers United FC, #14, 124 Caps, 33 Goals, 29 Years OldVice=Captain
And its the big guy. The huge center man helps the Knights score lots of goals. He does much the same at SK Nethers United, but its hard to score when you never see the ball.

Jeremi St. James RS- Briarshaw Peoples(Civil Citizenry) #5, 110 Caps, 25 Goals, 30 Years Old
He's definitely worth it. Even with all his off the field issues, St. James has been worth having these many years. He scores, he passes, he fakes the hell out of the defense. Overall he scares the shit out of defenders and goalies the world awide.

Micheal Cameron LS- Walldrew(Saugeais) #0, 35 Caps, 28 Years Old
The odd odd man out. Andrew Esquire, and Jesse Conway have long been the backups. Cameron and Tolea kinda get screwed by everything.

Andrew Esquire LS- Brady City Crunch(Darmen) #10, 45 Caps, 29 Years Old
Oh the man with a great form in his club play, but not so much with his national team. Whatever his problems be, maybe he should fix them before ruining another season.

Tolea Patrick-Peterson RS- Woodlands Lumberjacks(Civil Citizenry) #20, 39 Caps, 27 Years Old
Its the brilliant young player, that never plays. Oh man his club team complains about lack of playing time, or well the old one did, now they will to probably. Whatevs its all in the past. Least his future feels bright.

Jesse Conway RS- X Island Marauders, #97, 55 Caps, 5 Goals, 30 Years Old
He got a chance to play last season a lot with the new lineup. I guess he did well, but it seems the manager has forgotten that, or just likes his old lineup better. Anyways here we go again, the bench is good the lineup is good. To bad everyone else is better.

Official Roster Information, Cup of Harmony 52

Produced by the Sakaino Athletic and Performance Arts Committee
For Distribution to Hosts, Rivals, and Interested Parties

Introduction
The Sakaino Athletic and Performance Arts Committee is excited to present the national football team of Kiryu-shi, along with information about each player and a general summary of the style of play. The Kiryu-shi national team is led by Coach Marja Mayberry, who, after initiating the effort to bring the sport back to national prominence, has led the team for the past several years. While Mayberry will be leading the team into the Cup of Harmony following a relatively successful run through World Cup Qualifications, where the Kiryu-shi national team won more games than they lost for the first time since World Cup 40 qualifications, rumor is that she has recently hired her heir apparent, a young man by the name of Tyron Nishimoto, a twenty six year old graduate student studying economics and statistics especially pertaining to athletics, who will be one of her assistant coaches, along with her long-time associate Boaz Crow, whose enthusiasm and passion for the game has been recognized as one of the driving forces behind Kiryu-shi’s success.

The team, which has been incredibly successful the past two World Cup qualifications in allowing incredibly few goals, averaging fewer than a goal per match against, has changed its formation, experimenting with a more aggressive style of football. This follows a torn ACL for national team captain Olive Ferguson, who will be watching this Cup of Harmony from the bench. Replacing her as captain will be long-time national team keeper Kohei Yasumu, while newcomer and youngster Tziganes d’Arányi. Midfielder J.J. Erickson has also dropped off of the national team roster for undisclosed family reasons, and he has been replaced on the roster with Ian McGuinness, another young talent from the Kiryu-shi University system.

Official Roster
GK
Kohei Yasumu (#1)
Age: 26
Sakaino University
A quiet but forceful presence on the goal line, Kohei Yasumu does not seem to be the prototypical keeper, but possesses incredible dexterity. He can show moments of extreme athleticism making spectacular saves, but has been known to play out of position from time to time, not calculating angles well and is particularly hesitant going up for crosses.

DF
Patrick Yu (#15)
Age: 25
Umeda University
A defender who is at his best when he is reacting to the ball, Patrick Yu excels playing with a vocal presence to his immediate right. He tends to play unassertively, but is generally able to always stay on any given attacker, with incredible reflexes and quick hips, Patrick Yu is likely the hardest defender to get around. His weaknesses, including his inability to execute tackles well and a striking inability to clear the ball, prevent him from being an elite defender.

Rebecca Hamilton (#4)
Age: 24
Sakaino University
Another foil against Olive Ferguson’s aggressive play, Rebecca Hamilton is possibly the most technically skilled person in the nation, showing an incredible ability to control any ball at first touch. She is able, generally to take a ball away from attackers with seemingly no effort, and when she can be coaxed into helping with counter-attacks, she is generally able to move past multiple opposing defenders. She generally struggles with positioning, as she tends to get sucked into the one-on-one battles that she excels, and can be caught unawares during off-side traps.

Kenta Takenomi (#20)
Age: 23
Aioi University
An athlete who many predicted would be a dominant player in the sport at a young age, Kenta Takenomi has struggled to find a place on the pitch. He is a hard tackler with adequate speed excellent fitness, but tends to have a wild, unconstrained style of play. His lack of discipline can open up holes at his position as a wing back, and he doesn’t have the pace that would be ideal at his position. Although he plays center back on his university squad, he makes too many mistakes to be trusted there on the international stage.

Charles Meer (#8)
Age: 24
Kasakake University
Another great athlete lacking in some of the technical qualities one would desire from an international football player, Charles Meer is tall and swift, able to cover vast distances from his left wing back position. Lacking a great leg or ball control, he nevertheless is effective attacking simple due to the great runs he can carve through a defense. His height also makes him a threat on corners, and he never seems to have trouble retreating hastily to his defensive position.

MF
Will Feingold (#2)
Age: 22
Umeda University
The most talented player on the pitch at any given moment, Will Feingold is the key to the Kiryu-shi defense. He has tremendous speed and agility, able to cover a large amount of the field. He generally contains himself to the defensive half of the field, hesitant to help out with attacks, but when he does, he is an extraordinary threat, one of the few players who has consistently been a goal-scoring threat, making long and effective runs down the field. He has tremendous ball-control skills, and is a relentless tracker of whoever has the ball on the opposing attack.

Bob Libby (#10)
Age: 26
Sakuragi University
Bob Libby excels in breaking down opposing defenses, using a wide variety of feints combined with effortless small, accurate touches to get past many highly skilled defenders. He struggles a lot, however, controlling longer passes or shots on goal. The disparity between his one on one skills and his passing skills is fairly extreme, making him a difficult player to defend but an easy player to neutralize. He will be attempting to play a more defensive position than he is accustomed to in the Cup of Harmony, and will help Will Feingold mitigate for the loss of Olive Ferguson in the center defense.

Lidia Barnes (#6)
Age: 24
Sakaino University
A striker on her university squad, Lidia Barnes is more suited for a role in the midfield, where she is able to use her deep knowledge of tactics and great ball-control to dictate the pace of attack. Although not a tremendous athlete, not particularly fast, she has quick feet and plays her position extremely intelligently. Although she’s not a dynamic playmaker, if the game is going well she can pepper the goal area with accurate passes as she controls the Kiryu-shi attack.

FW
Samantha DeCastro (#11)
Age: 23
Amanuma University
A former gymnast, and a tremendously gifted athlete, Samantha DeCastro still struggles at times making fairly basic mistakes, as she has an unreliable first touch and a fairly inaccurate shot. Her tremendous athleticism in front of the goal, however, allows her to create incredible goals with crosses anywhere near her. She tends to do better when she relies on instincts, often overthinking when she has more than three or four touches on the ball.

Tziganes d'Arányi (#12)
Age: 17
Sakaino University
A recent immigrant to the nation of Kiryu-shi, d'Arányi has quickly turned into the face of the rising generation of footballers coming up into the Kiryu-shi University league. In her first year at Sakaino University, she led the entire league in goals scored, using a dynamic shot from both feet capable of scoring from anywhere on the pitch. On the other hand, her conditioning still leaves a lot to be desired, and her lack of physicality tends to make her vulnerable against aggressive defenders. Capable of taking over a match with her outstanding skill, she is equally likely to completely disappear in a match. She will be on the right wing on the primary roster.

Connor Boyle (#7)
Age: 20
Sakaino University
Although he has transitioned to a midfielder’s role on his University squad, Boyle previously enjoyed a high amount of success as a forward at Sakaino, paired with Lidia Barnes at the head of the highest scoring team in the country. He maintains the fastest straight-away speed on the team, but plays with a wildness that isn’t necessarily conducive to consistent success on the pitch, often enthusiastically hitting the ball in the same general area of the goal, but rarely actually scoring. His athleticism on the left wing, however, adds a dynamic quality to the Kiryu-shi attack, whether or not it is necessarily effective .

In the last Qualifying round he surprised many in West Guiana by taking the WG team to a 6-5-3 record. However though this maybe his first Cup of Harmony, but it will be his last as he is retiring.

Licentiapacisterra Eagles

Manager- Nathan Gardiner:
Following the 6-1-7 record in qualifying, and Luke Thompson leaving the Cyan-and-Gold to take on the vacant job at Colesham Athletic, the LFA has decided to keep Nathan Gardiner on as manager, at least until the end of this cycle. Gardiner was a goalkeeper, appearing for the Eagles on numerous occasions, until he picked up a career-ending knee injury in the World Cup 59 qualifying campaign. He then managed the Young Eagles in Valanora, at the Di Bradini Cup, and will now see his first major tournament finals as a manager in Ancharmunn and Yesopalitha.

Starting Lineup:

GK – Alex Stewart – 19 years – Abingdon Celtic
LB – Toby Bishop – 18 years – Carrington United
CB – Harvey Morrison – 23 years – Abingdon Celtic
CB – Billy Walters – 24 years – Montfort Wanderers

All characters here are based off the British television series Red Dwarf. More information on the characters mentioned can be found here. Three characters aren't mentioned on that list. All characters appear in episodes from Series I-Back to Earth

Hutt River roster for Cup of Harmony 52
AKA: The Smegs

GK – Dave Lister [Series I-Back to Earth]

The last human male alive in the universe due to an accident leaving him in stasis for three million years, and has been a main character throughout the show. He wrongly thinks he is a fantastic guitarist, he is lazy and dirty. His life dream was to buy a small farm on Fiji. He is normally dressed in a leather jacket and hat, and his two best shirts have curry stains down the front of them.

RD - Skutter [Series I, Series III, Series VIII, Back to Earth]

A motorised service and maintenance robot. A 2 feet tall motorized box, with one limb, with three claws on the end. Skutters' behaviour is rather human like, they play cowboys-and-Indians, enjoy watching films and often gives the finger to Rimmer.

CD - Duane Dibbley [Series V, Series VI, Series VIII]

Duane Dibbley is the dorky alter-ego of the Cat, who has a pudding basin haircut and big overbite. Ace Rimmer describes him as "looking so geeky, he couldn't even get into a science fiction convention".

CD – Arnold Rimmer [Series I-Back to Earth]

Lister's bunkmate brought back to life as a hologram to keep Lister sane. He is unpopular with his crew mates, and is often the target of insults and pranks. He wore an "H" symbol on his forehead, which stands for "Hologram", but this has since gone.

CD – Ace Rimmer [Series IV, Series VI, Series VII]

An alter-ego of Arnold Rimmer, who is modest despite being a popular, knowledgeable daredevil hero. Anyone who comes into contact with Ace exclaims "What a guy!" in adoration.

CD – Kristine Kochanski [Series I, Series II, Series VI, Series VII-Back to Earth]

Red Dwarf's Navigation Officer who was the object of Lister's lust before she was killed by a radiation leak. In Series VII, the crew discover an alternate universe where Kochanski survived with Lister as her hologram. She ends up stuck on Starbug and becomes one of the crew.

LD – Olaf Petersen [Series I, mentioned many times]

A Danish catering officer on the Red Dwarf mining vessel, and best friend of Lister. He and Lister's other friends spend their free time getting drunk. Killed with the other crew in the Radiation leak

RM – Ramses Niblick the Third Kerplunk Kerplunk Oops Where's My Thribble [Series IV (mentioned)]

A former friend of Kryten, who, like Holly, suffers from computer senility. His real name is Gilbert. He popped up in a conversation about computer senility.

CM - Queeg [Series II]

Queeg was a practical joke played by Holly to make him appreciate him being there. Queeg claims that Holly's IQ is not 6,000 but 6 and that Holly gets his information from a children's science book. He uses an oppressive command style and is prone to unprovoked angry outbursts.

LM – Kryten [Series II, Series III-Back to Earth]

Kryten is a neurotic Series 4000 mechanoid robotic servant. He is humanoid, with the exception of the flat cubical face and head. Once the personal servant of three attractive female crew members of the Nova 5, he was found and rescued by Lister who has been teaching Kryten to "break his programming" in order to develop his own personality and develop human character faults (such as the ability to lie).

ST – Talkie Toaster [Series I, Series IV]

An annoying talking toaster, who offers toasted stuff at every possible opportunity. He was destroyed with a 14lb lump hammer by Lister, before being repaired by Kryten.

Substitutes
GK - Holly [Series I-V, VII, VIII, Back to Earth]

Holly is the ships' computer. Holly's user interface appears on the ship's screens as a disembodied human head on a black background, he can also be downloaded onto most television screens, and can roam around on a monitor mounted on a cart. Holly regularly proclaims that he has an IQ of 6000, though there are frequent references to the fact that it is now much lower due to three million years alone, referred to as "computer senility."

CD – Quagaar warrior [Series I (mentioned)]

The Quagaars are an alien species made up by Rimmer, after a garbage pod entered the ship. The warrior is essentially a discarded roast chicken.

RM – Mr. Flibble [Series V]

A hand puppet penguin used by Rimmer when he was taken over by 'Hex virus', often 'Very cross.'

CM – Frankenstein [Series I]

Frankenstein was a common housecat, who was sealed in the hold when the radiation leak happened. The Cat calls Frankenstein the Holy Mother.

ST – The Cat [Series I-Back to Earth]

A humanoid descendant of a modern house cat called Frankenstein, which had been Lister's pet cat. The cat society (Felis erectus) left Red Dwarf seeking the promised land, leaving behind those who were too ill or old to travel. The Cat is the son of the cripple and the idiot.

The Archregimancy CoH 52 Roster

First of all, everyone except newbies knows that the Archregimancy is a nation of Eastern Orthodox Christian monks from an alternate reality, right?

Following the failure of Fr David of the Woods' rather eccentric regime, the Monastic Football Association has taken a slightly conservative turn.

The Archregimancy is fielding a team of 11 hermits called James.

The manager is also called James.

They are totally indistinguishable from each other to the non-Orthodox.

Whether this is a sign of monastic humility, a cunning footballing strategy that makes it impossible to man-mark the Archregimancy squad, or a harbinger of the impending apocalypse is no doubt a matter of personal taste and interpretation.

Formation:
The Archregimancy always plays an orthodox 4-4-2; style modifier +0.

Kit:

See Fr. Seraphim the Occasionally Dangerously Free Thinking Theologian model the Archregimancy's monastic robes!

Team Icon

The team is always accompanied to matches by the Holy Icon of the Mother of God, Bringer of Victory, which shall be paraded before the team before the match. The Holy Icon looks like:

Hand out Yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out Red cards to my players y
Godmod Other Events Y - (within limits, see above; and no religious conversions of players, please)

And remember... Monks don't cheat. Please.

OOC: I realise my team might present a role-playing challenge. Rest assured that once they start playing they'll play just like any other team (though they might be a bit more inclined to pray after scoring), so I have no problem with you treating the team like any other if you don't want to deal with the Orthodox Christian element.[/quote]

Team Mapletish [The Lions] For Cup Of Harmony 52

As the cycle of events continue, the Lions find themselves in an utmost miss, with a narrow chance in qualifying for the World Cup thrown aside, the Lions find themselves in the quest of advancing into the knockout stages of the Cup Of Harmony that follow after. In the change of events, the Lions are refreshed completely with Muain Newtons giving up his managerial seat of the Lions with a new manager,Oelen Heinz,a youthful but yet disciplined manager.A number of players are also left out from the roster that Heinz have selected for the Cup Of Harmony. With the target set ahead for the better, having only participated the Cup of Harmony for once, everybody is hoping that the Lions can do better this time round.A possibility of advancing further than the knockout-stages?

Management Team

Manager : Oelen Heinz : The youthful and ambitious manager for many university teams, having won 8 University Football Championships Title in just 8 years of management in just the first eight years of his managerial career, having trained under Genetically Sports Modified coaches and many experienced managers, the introduction of him to the team might be a risky one, however he has this one job which his to lead his team to success in this edition of the Cup Of Harmony to prove his worth of keeping his job and succeeding Muain Newtons who has expressed his interest in resigning after failure to lead the Lions to a World Cup.

Assistant Manager : Eligio Esteban : An experienced coach at different levels of play from Primary School level to the University and at Premier League and international levels.Esteban has shown most of his management skills under clubs like Golden Phoniex which have been only catching the tail of Home United but his management skills managed to put Golden Phoniex in a fighting position for the Premier League for the first time in history as he was also an assistant coach for Home United as well.Rumours have shown that Esteban might accept a job elsewhere.Golden Phoniex has extended their interest to sign Esteban on for a full-management role as the manager of Golden Phoniex, and with clubs like former club Home United,Heywood City, offensively troubled Moonchester United and relegated Moonchester City has shown keen interest in him. Will this be the end before a start many shrugged to understand.

Starting 11

Goalkeeper, Oliver Kahner: He has always been the first choice goalkeeper for any manager that he his under.Oliver Kahner's reflexes and agility has done him good and this might be the tournament that he must prove and show to Heinz that his decision in putting him in the squad is right.

Fullback, Glena Johnson: The defender that the squad must have and he has been an important chess-piece for many line-ups,he must show Heinz his ability to carry the team forward in his new role as a offensive-fullback who will provide the attack with an extra man under Heinz's new lineup.

Center Back, John Davis : How can the center back position be missed out with John Davis inside, the experienced defender has been another important player for the squad, his selection will add in extra excitement to the team.

Center Back, Martin Keller : The experienced defender has finally get a first eleven spot after being left out in many line-ups,Heinz made a difficult choice in putting Keller in,but he is confident in his performance and Keller will have to prove it to him.

Fullback, Tomás Guillermo : Heinz has made another difficult choice here,as he put in youngster Tomás Guillermo into his squad.Although it might be a bit risky to put in a youngster into the set-up but Heinz's big gamble might be worth it if Tomás perform to his best.

Central Midfielder, Steven Johnson : Heinz opted for a safe midfield option of Steven Johnson as he put Johnson above of any other midfielder in his squad options as Johnson's vision and instincts in the pitch are second to none, having played out a number of World Cups,a total of 4 World Cups and 2 Copa Rushmori to date,he is definitely someone that the midfield needs, experience and among others, confidence

Central Midfielder, Peres De Oliver : Another safe option for Heinz,Peres De Oliver has build on the teamwork and trust that everyone has for each other because of his ability to distribute the ball from his side and making it like an engine room which his pretty productive, success in the CoH will also be decided by his attentiveness in the engine room.

Central Midfielder, Anjol Darez : Heinz opted for another youngster in his line-up again to add some youthfulness in the engine room as he pairs up with two other more experienced players Peres De Oliver and Steven Johnson. Why Darez and not the others, the reason,Heinz wanted a fast free flow play for the midfield so that the attack will go with the flow and attacking will be made much more easier. Will that be the case for the Lions?Darez will have to prove it to the team that he can flow with the game right from the start.

Winger, Anselmo Benigno : To the surprise of everyone,Heinz opted for a younger player to take on the role of a taxing winger, many would have thought that JH Morison will be up for the task, but to the disappointment of everyone he has been relegated to the bench until he shows that he can attack like how he did in his prime.Benigno might be a risky choice but a youngster will spice up the whole attacking mentality isn't it?

Center Forward, Dennis Long : To the surprise of everyone,Heinz dropped Junio the trusted tailsman for the Lions with Dennis Long, another youngster in which Heinz has confidence in.His reason for that,to give Long a chance to perform in an international tournament and giving Junio some rest after his taxing role in the World Cup Qualifying.Putting Long in is also another risk that Heinz is putting and it will be Long's job to prove that Heinz's judgement is correct in this sense.

Winger, Cirillo Remigio : It always a surprise and continued amusement that Heinz ignored the entire attack force of the squad that nearly secured qualification to the World Cup, dropping better and more experienced players like Junio,Di Natile,Maro and Morison for the attacking roles available. His reasons of doing this is very simple, which was to give the younger players a chance to play, that's his reason to change the whole attacking set-up and see if it is effective for the Cup Of Harmony.Remigio is a difficult man to predict, this youngster has his ups and downs,he might be good for a period of time and he can go downhill for another, the risk involved again to bring Remigio in is certainly riskier than any other player that he has chosen due to his complacency.

Who the Hell are Audioslavia?
Audioslavia are the reigning AOCAF champions and winners of the last Baptism of Fire tournament. We are, however, an ancient nation that has been around the football scene for centuries. Audioslavia participated in World Cups 4 to 29, made an abortive comeback in World Cup 37 and, as puppet Silexhera, entered World Cups 46 to 49.

Ten Things Audioslavia's football team are famous for:
1: The claret and green striped kits, complete with white pinstripe. They have been like this, with the odd exception, since World Cup 4.
2: Jeremy Jaffacake. The indescribable Jaffacake has been a satellite of the national team - both as sports journalist and member of the FFA - since World Cup 6. It is unwise to cross Jeremy Jaffacake. In fact, it's often unwise to even look at him.
3: Choking in major finals. Audioslavia are the record holders for losing the most amount of World Cup finals, in WCs 12, 19, 20 and 29. We've also lost a few minor-tournament finals.
4: Being unbeatable in semi-finals. Audioslavia's senior side are yet to lose a semi-final in any type of competition. We'd like to think that this makes up for our lack of wins in finals, but it doesn't.
5: Dour, uninspired football. The Bulls like to pretend that they are a 'counterattacking' team, but in reality their play is merely boring, dire and defensive. They're prone to scoring goals late in games against tiring, jaded opponents, utilising a natural stamina and speed that makes up for the average Audioslavian player's lack of physical strength, technique and passing game.
6: A fervent, yet well-behaved support. Audioslavia's fans are generally friendly, enjoy mixing with the locals and are partial to the odd litre of whisky.
7: Building rivalries: Audioslavia count, and have counted, a lot of nations as their 'rivals'. They are, in order of healthiest to most hated: Lemmitania, Karditan, New Montreal States, Halfassedstates, Iansisle, Vilita/Turori, Bedistan, Squornshelous, Rejistania, Total n Utter Insanity, Krytenia U19s, Krytenia U21s, Krytenia 'C'. Krytenia 'B', Them. (Notable exceptions: Starblaydia ('the enemy of mine enemy is a team we've never played very often'), Armed Bears/Bears Armed ('caused Silexhera and Audioslavia all sorts of problems in the past, but are too cute to be hated'), Dorian and Sonya ('you can't hate someone you pretty much have the measure of, and we know for a fact they're about five foot two'), Liverpool England ('good Audioslavian teams have beaten bad LivEng/Liventian teams. Good Liv teams have beaten bad Audioslavia teams. We've played each other plenty of times, but never with too much needle'.))
8: Audioslavia have had, throughout their history, a disproportionate amount of wingers with names beginning with 'J'.
9: Audioslavia are the first and only team to have been eliminated from the group stage of a World Cup on penalties.
10: Words. And lots of them

Audioslavian footballers tend to be a little on the small side, compared to modern NS athletes. The average height for a goalkeeper or a defender is around 6'0, 5'7 for a full-back, 5'10 for a midfielder and 5'9 for a striker (although the 'target-man' style strikers tend to be nearer 6'0). All of Audioslavia's players, throughout history, have been human and male. Our players tend to be fairly quick with a lot of stamina and physical fitness. Our passing, positional play, tactical knowledge and general technique is fairly poor, although this is often counter-balanced by the input of foreign managers and/or nationalised foreign footballers. Audioslavians tend to be good with the ball in the air, although the lack of tall players renders this talent somewhat redundant in international play, and the general lack of size means that it's possible to bully the midfield off the ball if your team as enough big players. For this reason, Audioslavian squads tend to include an 'enforcer' to counteract any rough play.
