3rd Quall Cup Everything Thread

Hello and welcome to the 3rd Quall Cup. Hosted in Western Cuba, and sponsored by HO^AIR. Their are 16 teams from 15 nations in the competition which will be divided into four groups with four teams in each group. A single round robin will be played in which each team will play each other once. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals. Tiebreakers are decided on overall W-L record against their opponent. (Which is only one game) If the two teams battled to a draw when they faced off then +/- will decide on who advances to the next round.

In the quarterfinals teams will play each other twice and the winner will be decided on aggregate score. The winners advance to the semi-finals which along with the finals which consist of only one game each. A third place game will be played.

This thread is for roster, rp examples, and scores to be posted. If you are not involved in the 3rd Quall Cup please do not post. If you have any questions tg me. Now that I got that done with good luck to everyone. The first matchday will be on Wednesday.

Phoenigetuzstha Qualify for The Quater Final's

The Phoenigetuzsthan Team Celebrate Getting Through to the Next Round

Phoenigetuzstha are on the right track to retaining their title by qualifying for the next round of the Quall Cup. The team edged past a group of 10 year old's, who made up with their courage what they lacked in skill. A goal in the 61st minute from Hamilqart Mithral sealed it for the 'Saevam Phoenicopteri'.

In the Quater-Final draw, Phoenigetuzstha have been drawn against Mapletish. Phoenigetuzstha had, if you remember beaten Maplteish U21 3-2 in last years group stage (as well as losing 2-1, but that's not significant). Mapletish will prove a stern challenge, but Phoenigetuzstha has the belief to perhaps, succeed.

Phoenigetuzstha Playing for Third

Phoenigetuzstha After the Game With Western Cuba

Phoenigetuzstha have crashed out of the running for the Quall Cup 3 after losing 2-1 to hosts Western Cuba. Phoenigetuzstha went 1-0 ahead at the 36th minute with a goal from Tigran Eupator, however the hosts equalized 8 minutes later, when a searching cross from Cayo Vargas was met by Fausto Garcia, making the score 1-1.

Things seemed calm for the most part in the second half, until on the 78th minute mark, Edgardo Mendoza got his head to a corner taken by Cayo Vargas. This sealed it for Phoenigetuzstha.

Phoenigetuzstha are now playing for 3rd against the founders of the Quall cup, Homelands Our. They were knocked out by Azreal, 5-3 the scoreline.

PREDICTIONS

Western Cuba - Azreal
This should be a victory for Western Cuba, however Azreal are a force to be reckoned with, and so it will be a close match. The most popular prediction is 1-1 and then 3-1 to Western Cuba at ET.

Phoenigetuzstha - Homelands Our
There isn't much between these teams, however Homelands Our have a slight ranking advantage, and perhaps this may take them to the bronze medal.
