Vilita Team Sheet - Cup of Harmony 49

Postby Vilita » Wed Nov 23, 2011 4:18 pm

Image

Coaches: Kris Wrice & Tika Massa

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 85 ] Nycflala Kater [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.87 Average Rating ]
Descended of former National Team goalkeeper Jimmy Kater, who took over the starting position on the National Team under the intense spotlight of the World Cup 17 Finals in Vilita and remained first choice keeper for the majority of Vilitan national competition in subsequent seasons before joining the coaching staff for World Cup 31. Nycflala made his full debut for the Vilita National Team during World Cup 57 where he was named the starter in 14 of Vilitas 16 qualification matches. Kater performed strongly with 6 shutouts and a 5.87 average rating and is widely expected to maintain his starting position.

[ 92 ] Jungrii Canopii [ - Inland Academy - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
Canopii spent most of World Cup 57 Qualifications on the bench, earning three substitute appearances in official matches, though he was named starter for the mid-qualification charity match against Akbarabad to raise money for big cats, where he made 11 saves. Despite spending most of the campaign as the primary backup, Canopii was not given the opportunity to start when #1 keeper Kater missed two matches, leading doubts as to whether he is looked upon as a serious candidate for the starting role in the future

[ 95 ] Jawz Tiiaupila [ - Hojosan (TYZ) - LOAN - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.00 Average Rating ]
Tiiaupila has made just one appearance for the Vilitan National Team, coming in a shock defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifications. The 1-3 defeat was pointed at by many critics as the sole reason the Jungle Cats were unable to make a return to the World Cup Finals, dropping a full three points against the groups bottom side and inevitably finishing just one point out of the playoff zone. Tiiaupila moved from Inland Rovers on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink.

[ 91 ] Aranora Jaded [ - Arcticala Academy - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Yeaddin Academy - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

DEFENDERS:

[ 9 ] Ritopa Simafela [ - Lunar Academy - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.05 Average Rating ]
Ritopa is a standout product of the Lunar Academy and was named as one of the captains of Vilita's World Cup 57 Qualifying Squad. The son of a Rocket Scientist and a Physicist, Simafela is already well educated and is in no way reliant on a career in sports. However, strong performances during his debut qualifying campaign including a 6.05 average rating and 2 goals spurred transfer inquiries from foreign clubs and comparisons to Vilitan greats like Enzo Ahat and Ricky Ezis.

[ 94 ] Miiara Makose [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.65 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches.

[ 4 ] Tyaoino Munviola [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.44 Average Rating ]
S towering defender with a dependable head, Munviola is not afraid to join the attack on corner kicks, and rarely loses a defensive header. His feet have let him down from time to time, but have been improving. Despite his inconsistencies, Munviola was a surprise package during World Cup 57 qualifying, making 8 appearances and having a strong ratings average.

[ 64 ] Uajiala Pulkki [ - Inland Academy - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.70 Average Rating ]
Pulkki is a descendent of former Inland Peaks FC defender Pasi Pulkki, and many are saying he could even be better then his ancestors. Pulkki unfortunately lasted barely 22 minutes in his competitive debut against Ipeland in World Cup 57 qualifying, but has put in some more impressive performances since.

[ 68 ] Kadi Molali [ - Turoki Academy - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.56 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali is an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal.

[ 67 ] Eda Shindhi [ - Coastal Academy - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.06 Average Rating ]
Shindhi is a player in the mold of former Marine Coast defensive stalwarts Ade Hinds and Sibusiso Azaiez. While Shindhi still has some development to go before realizing his full potential, it is expected that he will continue to get a run out from time to time as his skills progress. Shindhi made his competitive debut in defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifying but did not impress in that performance

[ 66 ] Sipaao Vereaoao [ - Inland Academy - ]
------- D L ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
A product of the Inland Academy, Vereaoao has played in both Vilita & Turori, but committed his future to the Jungle Cats when featuring for them as a half time substitute against Nitrome Island during World Cup 57 qualifying.

[ 8 ] Ricata Amakra [ - Alikki-Corra Academy - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
The product of the Alikka-Corra Academy is a defender being compared locally with former Alikki-Corra FC defender Emarka Laniora. While he doesn't yet share the same ability to charge up either wing with the ball, his solid defensive skills should see him earn some playing time with the National Team

[ 63 ] Baiiub Jual-Knakok [ - Coastal Academy - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A product of the Coastal Academy, Jual-Knakok is a left footed defender nicknamed "the Cricket" by his peers

[ 61 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Yeaddin Academy - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Konoaafeo is the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and is expected to be part of the National Team Consideration simply due to this fact

[ 62 ] Noa-isinao Wioauoi [ - Yeaddin Academy - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Noa-isinao Wioauoi is a product of the Yeaddin Academy, and is a bit of an unknown prospect around much of Vilita. He caught the eye of one Yeaddin reporter at a recent training session doing ball handling tricks, and the shared video has since gone viral, sparking a campaign including a fan website and even local town council requests to invite the youngster into the National Team training camp

[ 3 ] Niubo Deneli [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Deneli is a solid prospect for the Strike Academy that saw a decline in his development after the age of 15, a time at which he was considered the best defensive prospect in the country.

[ 4 ] Timmson Leabiura [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
The development of Timmson Leabiura seems to be hampered by his family's inability to stay put, and he has found himself at 6 different academies in his short sporting career. Now training at the Strike Academy for the second time, it is hoped by pundits that his development will receive a spark

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 36 ] Retiso Buran [ - Sile Academy - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.65 Average Rating ]
Retiso Buran is the top prospect at the Sile Academy specializing in the defensive midfield role once made famous by Jürgen Ramzi. Buran is a ferocious player who some has said can be seen with teeth gritted ready to pounce as the attacking side approaches. Appearing almost exclusively during World Cup 57 qualifying, Buran missed only one game and scored 2 goals during the campaign

[ 39 ] Tujamu Treola [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
A product of the Strike Academy, Tujamu Treola excels both defensively in the midfield, and with his head both defensively and on corner kicks. Treola made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 qualifying against West Zirconia

[ 38 ] Dronik Ratuva [ - Valley Academy - ]
------- DM RLC ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Dronik Ratuva is an exciting prospect from the Valley Academy, who is also able to move wide to defensively cover the wings when 2 or 3 central defenders are used.

[ 34 ] Danie Izmao [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Izmao is a Strike Academy prospect who, while not rated as the highest defensive midfield prospect at the academy, is still expected to get a run out with the National Squad in World Cup Qualifiers, especially should any injuries come in to play

[ 30 ] Ukalai Saluria [ - Turoki Academy - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Saluria is a product of the Turoki Academy, who is likely to train with the National Team in the build up to World Cup Qualifying and be in a stand-by mode for potential call-ups throughout the competition

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 27 ] Rexii Tzikas [ - Arcticala Academy - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.01 Average Rating ]
Tzikas is the top propsect of the Arcticala Academy, and one of the most highly rated players in the Vilitan National Team pool. The Tzikas name has some history in Vilitan Sport, formerly, Toby Tzikas was a midfielder on the National Team, though he was less known than other former Vilitan Stars as he played his club football in Starblaydia. Rexii was the only Vilitan player to start every single match during qualifications for World Cup 57. His presence was strong averaging a 6.01 rating with 2 goals.

[ 21 ] Jomur Hulyer [ - Yeaddin Academy - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.51 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur is being trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer made his debut during the World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign with a very strong performance averaging a 6.51 rating. Hulyer appeared in 13 of Vilita's 16 matches netting 1 goal and multiple assists helping the Jungle Cats come within one game of a playoff place.

[ 51 ] Steffyn Siazzu [ - Yeaddin Academy - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.79 Average Rating ]
An exciting prospect from the Yeaddin Academy, Siazzu tends to play behind the strikers in a clean up or attacking role atop the midfield. Siazzu appeared in every game during Vilita's World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign and did his part, though did not get on the scoresheet.

[ 24 ] Astara Daiili [ - Kiiara Academy - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.08 Average Rating ]
Daiili is a classic central midfielder who prefers a holding role and short distribution. Daiili made his competitive debut in the World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign and was a workhorse for the Jungle Cats appearing in 15 of the 16 matches, netting one goal.

[ 55 ] Viliaka Morasita [ - Tivali Academy - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 10 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.79 Average Rating ]
Morasita is the top prospect coming out of the Tivali Academy, playing central and left midfield. His sure footed tackling ability is noted but he is a well balanced midfielder shining above his peers at Tivali. Morasita made a total of 10 appearances as both starter and substitute during his debut qualifying campaign for World Cup 57

[ 70 ] Aniara Jiurjai [ - Turori Academy - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.71 Average Rating ]
Jiurjai is trained in Turori but declared for Vilita after being called into the squad for World Cup 57 Qualifying. The multi-talented midfielder appeared in 9 of the 16 Vilitan matches. Jiurjai can play both central and outside midfield and can use both feet equally well.

[ 53 ] Resaie Kentiak [ - Coastal Academy - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
Kentiak is a product of the Coastal Academy who is expected to play a substitute role in the center of midfield for the Vilitan National Team

[ 28 ] Riksa Valjariia [ - Turoki Academy - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.33 Average Rating ]
Valjariia is an attacking midfielder being trained at the Turoki Academy. Valjariia is expected to be second choice in the role to Steffyn Siazzu, however could also see some time as a second attacking midfielder in a substitute role. Made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 Qualifying against West Zirconia

[ 73 ] Manolis Kontalroma [ - Kiiara Academy - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A product of the Kiiara Academy, Manolis Kontalroma can play central or on the left side in a classic midfield role.

[ 78 ] Relmar Winauat [ - Turoki Academy - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Winauat is a product of the Turoki Academy who has been known to hit some quality long range shots. However, he has also been known to blast the ball over the net from 5 or 6 yards out.

[ 74 ] Jian Lejsrma [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- AM RL ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lejsrma is a speed demon being trained at the Strike Academy. The most dynamic and pacey winger in the Vilitan system, he is expected to be a great player for many seasons to come. At this stage in his development, he may get overlooked as he works more on his technique and vision, but with experience, he will learn these skills.

[ 29 ] Cristoh Nrubari [ - Kiiara Academy - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Nrubari is another quality midfield prospect from the Kiiara Academy, though not expected to be a regular player on the Vilitan National team for some seasons to come as he continues his development

FORWARDS:

[ 43 ] Kristofer Kilpter [ - Yeaddin Academy - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.04 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury.

[ 15 ] Sirkii Moliaudo [ - Coastal Academy - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.29 Average Rating ]
Moliaudo is a real force in front of goal, rarely missing from inside the penalty area. Many eyes were on Moliaudo during the World Cup Campaign, to see how he fared with a new partner in attack, having spent his entire development partnered with Xcnaio Bansoa at the Coastal Academy. Moliaudo mostly performed well netting 4 goals and having a strong rating, but still left some wondering if there was more talent to be mined from the Coastal youngster.

[ 44 ] Erocka Lorei [ - Kiiara Academy - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.17 Average Rating ]
The top attacking prospect at the Kiiara Academy, Erocka Lorei was expected to get quite a few chances to impress on the national stage during World Cup 57 Qualifying and did not dissapoint, leading the Vilitan team in goals scored with 5 in the competition despite only featuring in 11 out of 16 matches. Lorei claims to be a penalty kick specialist but has not been known for his aerial ability

[ 48 ] Actalia Mermaioada [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.05 Average Rating ]
Mermaioada is a prospect of the Strike Academy, who also excels at water sports, a fact that some pundits argue is hampering his development on the pitch. While not even featuring on the bench for early World Cup 57 qualifying matches, Mermaioada finally made his competitive debut as a half-time substitute against Ipeland and would feature as a sub for three consecutive matches before the return of Kilpter to the lineup.

[ 17 ] Viji-mara Lawaai [ - Strike Academy - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.46 Average Rating ]
The top forward prospect at the Strike Academy, Lawaai has excelled at shooting from long range, and making space on the edge of the penalty area with crafty turns, and may produce opportunities for free kicks if he wears down the opposition approaching the box. Lawaii made 8 substitute appearances during World Cup 57 qualifying, making his competitive debut against Krytenia, but failed to find the scoresheet.

[ 43 ] Lita Adjei [ - Hojosan (TYZ) - LOAN - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 15 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
A product of the Turoki Academy, Adjei has sport in the blood, being a descendent of former Stellar Division top Forward award winner Ippolit Adjei. Adjei moved on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink.

[ 49 ] Xcnaio Bansoa [ - Coastal Academy - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Bansoa is a training partner of Sirkii Moliaudo at the Coastal Academy, and many believe that Moliaudo's prowess in front of goal is due solely to his close partnership with Bansoa. While Bansoa is not highly rated on his own, he may be called into the National Team if Moliaudo struggles without familiar faces around him.

The National Soccer Team of The Kytler Peninsulae
Official squad for Cup of Harmony XLIX

1. Kris Joyce (GK, 33, FC Alaer)
A smart goalkeeper who won't make many blinding saves, but is very rarely caught out of position. Still the first-choice goalkeeper, but for how long?
2. Daniel Ortega (RB, 21, Roulson Rovers)
A prodigious young talent, seen as possibly the best full-back in Rushmore already, Ortega is a short and stocky defensive full-back who is deceptively fast and strong. By far and away the most talented player in the squad.
3. Shaun Duggan (CB, 30, FC Alaer)
The stereotypical "big man at the back", he will pick up a few too many cards in the process of fighting aerial and ground battles with unprepared strikers. Will happily take a penalty too, the fool. Between that, his penchant for going up for corners, and the inadequacy of the Kytlerian attackers, he was actually the second highest scorer in the team during qualification.
4. Thomas Kennard (CB, 32, Capitolians)
Not as physically powerful as Duggan, but good positional abilities have helped him maintain an excellent disciplinary record.
5. Tim Chappell (LB, 24, FC Alaer)
A defensive full-back, maybe not quite the talent that Ortega is, but cut from the same cloth, and he's only getting better.
6. Howard Crawley (LM, 29, Borlfield Town)
The local boy made good in an expensively assembled team that have now made the Globe Cup twice, his key strength is his stamina, developed in part from running up the steep hills in the area.
7. Armin Hassani (DM/CM, 22, AFC Edencliff)
"A young man doing an old man's job," so the lazy newspaper cliché goes when it comes to this defensive-minded central midfielder. Has the stamina to sweep up loose balls all day long, and won't offer opponents many loose balls in return with his short passing consistency.
8. Sven Vandenbergh (RM/RW, 25, Bay City United)
The key flair player in the national side, Vandenbergh can be a one-man highlight reel on his day with his penchant for flamboyant footwork and long-range strikes. Was consistently cack in World Cup qualification, and is lucky to still be in the squad.
9. Jan-Willem Snyder (CF, 25, Bay City United)
His connection with Vandenbergh helped Bay City United to a league title last season, but you'd never know it from the national team's performances, and he's been confined to the bench for them as a result. Will move fluidly around the attacking third, and his shooting is unerringly precise. Creates chances for others, too, but won't win any aerial battles.
10. Cameron Upson (ST, 31, FC Alaer)
Top scorer for the national team in its short history, something he must hope will be overtaken very, very soon. The key aerial threat in the team. "He's tall, he's strong, he's really getting on, Cammy Upson!" is the snide chant going round these days.
11. Guy Stamp (CF, 22, Honeybadgers [FSSO])
A creative player who thrives in a free role behind one or more strikers. Inconsistent, but on his day almost unplayable, he's forced his way into the starting XI with the help of a move abroad. To the FSSO, FSS*. * For Slani's Sake
12. Caine Falamoe (GK, 20, Vengife Town)
A hero in the aboriginal capital of Vengife, and the only aboriginal in the squad. Recalls being excluded from school gymnastics clubs, but used his acrobatic prowess as a goalkeeper instead, and he is already known as the nation's best shot-stopper. Once his positional awareness improves, he will be the number 1 for many years.
13. Recasang Chezlot (CM, 26, Bay City United)
The most superstitious man on the team. He insists on wearing the number 13 "to uncurse the number", prays to Margaret before every game... oh, and picks out long passes better than anyone in the country, for good measure.
14. Shuke Cliriputed (RB/RM, 28, Bay City United)
A right-back for his club, a right midfielder for his country, but he's rarely seen dribbling - no, make that "never". A commentator's nightmare, as he gets the ball and then inevitably passes it first-time to a team-mate before you can say his name.
15. Alexis Aubin (CM, 30, FC Alaer)
A worker bee of a midfielder, similar to Hassani but more inclined to support the strikers. And not quite as energetic now he's 30, hence being on the bench.
16. Derek McIntyre (LF/CF/ST, 20, Aardswood United)
How the young prodigy has been overlooked for the national team with their attacking struggles is beyond anyone. He's agitating for a move abroad in light of Guy Stamp's starting role - might it be to a CDP or PIS club?
17. Alfie Nix (SW/CB, 22, Borlfield Town)
Nix is your classic free-roaming sweeper. Usually playing as the last line of defence, he could also push forward and attack, and he can even score with thumping left-footed shots from distance.
18. Dean Wickens (LB, 21, Bravin Rangers)
A young warrior from the garrison town of Bravin, a huge fan favourite with his willingness to throw himself into the physical side of the game. Still technically unpolished, mind. The fans aren't so concerned about skill over there.
19. Norbert Naugle (RM/AM, 22, Kartarak Wanderers)
Whether deployed down the middle or on the right, Naugle's array of passes and deft touches have made him central to his club team and a worthy national team supersub. Tries too much at times, but an undoubted talent.
20. Adie Wickshaw (CB, 18, Bay City United)
He's here for experience, after making eight superb starts as an emergency centre-back for his title-winning club. Many see him as the future of the centre of defence.
21. David Callow (CB, 22, Aardswood United)
A mature central defender for his age, though he has no other outstanding qualities, and won't be in the starting lineup any time soon.
22. Arkadiusz Abramovicz (AM/CF, 23, FC Alaer)
The key flair player for his club side, but still far too inconsistent to hold down a national team place.
23. Josh Calveley (GK, 34, Borlfield Town)
The veteran goalkeeper has made a difference for Borlfield, but he's only in this squad to help dressing-room camaraderie and to be a third goalie because three goalies is the done thing in case of disaster.

Formation and lineup will vary by game, depending on injuries and form, and will be posted in a pre-match RP.

Osarius squad for Cup of Harmony 49

Style modifier = +1.5, please!

Firstly, the NSWiki page is not complete, but still worth a look...

Team: Osarius National Football Team (aka "The Firebirds")
Home Stadium: Mount Crown Stadium, Burningham, Mount Crown, Osarius. (Capacity 98,000 - all-seated)

Manager: Alain Montblanc (53 years old)
Assistant Manager: Rodrigo Hernandez (62 years old)
Captain: Ayanna Barca-Carthy
Vice-captain: Jayson Dhanda
3rd captain: Marco Corradini

My RP Permissions are pretty chill to be honest.
Pretty much anything goes, I only ask that you let me decide the severity of any injuries you decide to RP for me, please.
Send my players off if you must -- if its a player I really didn't wanna lose for the next game, I'll RP an appeal or something.
Oh and at the risk of sounding a bit "RAWR" ... do not kill any of my players or coaching staff (unless I say go ahead via TG).
Killing fans is okay though. Go nuts with that if you like.

The team itself generally doesn't consciously defend. They press high up the pitch though and try to win the ball back as quickly as possible.
They will slow down when ahead later in the game, but only so they don't run up the score unnecessarily. Doesn't mean they wont take the opportunity to score if it presents itself.

Another thing that is important to know is that football isnt the number on sport in Osarius. Its second, to GraviBall.
Footballers are loved if they make tough tackles -- case in point, Georgina Carsley -- because the combative nature of the game is what the fans like. Very passionate, are Osarian fans, you see.
Sooo... basically, if you're not scoring goals or making crunching tackles, the fans aren't impressed. That goes for opponents too... Osarian fans always appreciate a good tackle, so they will even applaud opposition players at times (although they will boo their goals, obvs).

From time to time I'll make reference to the area a player is from, and when I do, I will try to add an OOC note to explain what it means, because different regions of Osarius have almost entirely different cultures. For example, Tubrissian people's habits and sayings are heavily based on Phoenician/Carthaginian culture and religious beliefs.

Manager: Alain Montblanc
Montblanc's rise to the top job perhaps became inevitable after Benedict di Corradi and Elissa Barca-Carthy had their war of words, and Donovan MacLean's Callisto City began to falter in the King's League. Rather than risk causing friction by appointing Barca-Carthy, or undertake a perceived risk of embarassment under the no-longer fancied MacLean, Lord Kenterbury's board opted for the highly rated coach of the Flying Sparks -- the Osarian under 21s -- to step up. Considering Montblanc had coached several senior players during their younger days, and had led the under-21s to two Di Bradini Cup finals, it was considered a no-risk move. After a shaky start to his reign, Montblanc settled in well and has earned a lot of respect from pundits and players alike. However, the fans are yet to be won over by his tactics. Having become accustomed to balls-out offensive play under di Corradi, many have found it hard to warm to Montblanc's more cerebral approach, and the possession game. The man himself is unconcerned however, shrugging off critics in a manner not too dissimilar to his predecessor.

Assistant Managers: Rodrigo Hernandez
In the past, Hernandez served as Montblanc's mentor, making it perhaps a little strange to see him act as his number two now. However, Hernandez's presence is perhaps best suited to the assistant role. Rather than have to face all the pressures and stresses of national team management alone, Montblanc has someone he can trust implicitly to support him. Hernandez, a youth coach primarily, is perhaps not well suited to handling the egos of the Osarian senior side, either. This arrangement allows them to support each other in order to best serve the national side.

Coaches: Maurice Simmons, Jeffrey Allen, Gerald Cole
Simmons, Allen and Cole retain their roles despite the departure of di Corradi, likely owing to the rapport they share with the players. Initially, they remained to ease the transition between managers, but Montblanc appears to get on well with them, sharing several views on coaching philosophy. As a result, they have all remained, meaning their combined wealth of knowledge and experience is still a major benefit to Osarius' players. Particularly the youngsters Montblanc intends to bring through.

Specialist Coaches: Onyibo Oduoza (goalkeeping), Claudio Traga (fitness)
Oduoza once trained under the now-legendary Enzo Corradini at Hollybrent, and is credited with turning Orlando Florian into the legendary keeper he became. A cerebral man, Oduoza sometimes employs strange methods to bring out the best in his charges, and to develop vital skills. Few can argue with his results, however. Traga, on the other hand, is perhaps best known among sports fans back home for his past career as a Boxer. Upon retirement, Traga's love of sport led him to study sports science at Utica University, where he learnt to combine his boxing experience with science know-how to develop fitness regimes for professional sportsmen (and women). His system, The Lightstrike Method, is used in most professional sports clubs in Osarius as a major part of training, particularly during the off-season.

Medical Staff: Daniel Chambers (physiotherapist), Dr. Sarah Bocchetti (team doctor)
Chambers and Bocchetti are also old friends of the former manager, Benedict di Corradi, but their reputation within the OFA is high. Both have strong rapports with the players, too, making them invaluable members of the backroom staff.

#21 - ST - Defante BRYANT 24 years old Juvillian Martinax (ERA)
#22 - CF - Michael CASSETTI 25 years old Burningham City F.C.

The squad remains largely the same as the core group of players which faltered in Osarius' World Cup qualifying campaign, with a few changes. Primarily, it appears to have been the priority of Alain Montblanc to select players with proficiency in multiple positions and/or roles, to better accomodate his likely changes and adaptations as the competition progresses.

In terms of personnel, though... The most notable change is Juvillian Martinax forward, Defante Bryant, steps in ahead of rivals such as Bray and Lombardi, to replace Dante Speranzo. The Utica man was dealt a long term injury blow in Osarius' final game of World Cup qualifying, when he suffered a torn cruciate ligament. Bryant's performances for his Erathi employers did not go unnoticed, as he flourished in a very strong attacking lineup, both creating and scoring. Montblanc feels this is a good sign of possibilities for a Bryant-Roberts partnership for the Firebirds.

Elsewhere, a few veteran internationals have been phased out, with younger, emerging talents preferred. For example, the emergence of Brent Steele as a regular substitute option, and Habib Kouli as a first team choice, reflect Montblanc's tendency toward youth. Hamzah Ibrahim's excellent wingplay for Hastmead last season -- as the Carbonia-based club secured a second successive King's League title -- have seen him oust Autumn Phelps on the left flank. While he prefers the right, he is equally adept on either flank, as is Martelli, giving Montblanc a great deal of flexibility on his front line.

Ayanna Barca-Carthy retains the captain's armband, with Dhanda officially named as vice captain. Third captain, should there be a need for one, is Marco Corradini.

The squad will likely line up in the same 4-2-3-1 system as they did for much of the qualifying campaign, with the focus being on Montblanc's preferred possession and control-based passing game. The few deviations he allowed from his system may have excited the fans a little more in Osarius, but they didn't yield the results he wanted, and it has been suggested that he blames those poor decisions for Osarius' failure to reach the World Cup proper (again).

The preferred starting lineup is likely to be as follows:

Roberts
Ibrahim --- Pepito -- Martelli
Dhanda -- Barca-Carthy
Criscito -- Romano -- Kinsella -- Kouli
Corradini

Well, it looks like we're in the Cup of Harmony. That's a first. But that's because last time round we rejected the CoH offer because the idiots in the FL couldn't reply to a simple telegram on time! So, for the second year in a row, we've had a promising team but have been marred by a horrific campaign. This year Michael VII crumbled after a few good first up performances, as they did last cycle, but this time they weren't the newcomers straight out of the Baptism of Fire. This time they were expected to do well (not to the extent of making the finals), hoping to at least challenge Civil Citizenry, Erathore and Bears Armed for the Group Championship. However it was not to be this time, and perhaps next time will be the time for Michael VII to shine, for now we will just look for Cup of Harmony glory! In Cup of Harmony 49!

Michael VII has been drawn into Group C, to be played in Albionpool, Cotdelapoms, where they will face Cyborg Holland, Kazzoria, New Montreal States and The Kiaser Colonies. TKC are familiar foes, but the others are all new guys for Michael VII, but nothing less than a Top Group placing will be satisfactory for the Michael VII boys, tumbling out of the WC Finals is bad enough, let alone a poor Cup of Harmony! First up we have a bye, before playing Cyborg Holland, Kazzoria, New Montreal States and finishing off with The Kiaser Colonies to round out the group stage. Following this, the top 2 in each group will progress, with all winners and the 5 best runners up making the Round of 16, while the other four playoff for the last remaining places in the Round of 16. Then those 16 teams will quickly become 8, then 4, before 2 play off for the prestigious Cup of Harmony! And this is surely where we'll find Michael VII right? Well, its unlikely, but anything is possible in this Multiverse, and the footballers have already started the sacrificial offering to Margaret for good luck! Go Michael VII!

Don't kill them, dont remove limbs.
Cuz if they don't have hands, then how will we win?
If out they should be for 2 days or more,
tg me first to avoid a war.
Godmodding is fine, but beware
ill do it to, and i can be a scare.
So, all in all, do whatever seems cool
but please, I implore you, remember the golden rule
cuz if ya do it to me, ill do it to you,
and of the same rp there would be two
and we dont want that, so be kind,
and follow these rules. Just see what you'll find!
That you can rp, and i can too!
and this will bring happieness to me and to you

Silver Beach has 6 players on the Cup of Harmony roster who were not on the World Cup roster, due to two retirements and 4 players being dropped. Interim Manager Frank Lavar, the manager for the tournament, said that even though he is an interim manager, he is still looking to win and claim success for Silver Beach, and hopefully the Silverian side can get out of the group stages of this tournament for the first time ever. The 73 year old did announce his roster, with one surprise, that Alexis Bosbic, who was not even on the World Cup roster, though did score in the Republic Cup, will in fact be the starting left midfielder and the temporary at least replacement for former captain Sean Johnson, who officially retired from international soccer after the World Cup qualifying, and who’s last game was a 1-0 loss at world cup qualifiers Stachland.

We will look at a small preview of the starting lineup. Jacob Jenkins and Alejandro Romano are definitely the goal scorers for Silver Beach, as they score the vast majority of the team’s goals. Samuel Brown is a good orchestrator, but they will be searching over the next 4 years for outside midfielders, and it seems as if Zachary Roberts and Alexis Bosbic will get the first shot for Silver Beach, even if the future manager is not here yet. They are both speedy players, but larger then Lushinksi and Johnson. Bosbic is less experienced and likes to dribble more than Sean Johnson, while Roberts, is a good player, but tends to mis-hit his crosses towards the box.

In the middle is James Miller, a solid player who scored a few goals during qualifying, and is known for having an endless motor, but who must have more energy in the future. The ageing back 4 is led by 32 year old Joseph Givens, who does not know if he will play in the next qualifying campaign. Gillespie is also 32 years old, and was speedy, though is slowing down with his age. He is their best defender however, and plays the ball extremely well. Lockliller is 31 years old, and is tall to defend headers, but is known to trip on his feet. Lastly, we have Bob Wilson, the 29 year-old who was recently sold for $4 million dollars to a club team from Civil Citizenry. He is the youngest of the ageing back line, and whoever succeeds Romeo Juliani will have their hands full trying to find successors besides Wilson, as Wilson is the core for the future of this team’s back line. Cameron Tabanou is in net for this team, and is an inconsistent goalie, who sometimes looks brilliant, but other times looks like a junior varsity high school goalie. You never know what to expect out of Tabanou.

The bench is solid, led by future starters Victor Elbel and Isaiah Usbeh, who look to see playing time coming off the bench this time for Silver Beach. Also look to see McFiller and Muhumuza get playing time for the Bears coming off the bench, as Frank Lavar tries different options for whoever the next manager of the squad is to see for Silver Beach. Others may get playing time as well, but those 4 will definitely see the pitch during this tournament. This is a roster in flux, without a full-time manager, and nobody knows who the new manager will be, so expect to see players playing hard so they can earn time on the next WC qualifying roster.

Overall keep roleplays realistic, like I said I don't want any god mod's in which my player get's killed, or I allow in five own goals. Keep it for the most part like an actual regular normal soccer game, and the roleplay is fine.

The Short Info Corner...

For what seems a disappointing World Cup Qualifying campaign but what seems so has past with Mapletish up for another challenge this time on the Cup Of Harmony 49,faced with a couple of teams better than Mapletish,the squad that will attend the Cup Of Harmony 49 will all shook up with a change.Sir Billy would not be in the squad this time round as the manager with his poor man management skills despite being a legend.With Alero Junio,Jh Morrison,Steven Johnson and Glena Johnson all not in the squad for the CoH 49,Mapletish would be coming around with the risk that might give Mapletish the tenure but to give the Maplish squad a new and better taste,a team of ambitious and high work rate team would be the choice for Mapletish for this new CoH 49 campaign that will give a spice up for the nation alone.With such confidence and ambitiousness in the squad the manager would be the one that many would be desired to know,so now we present the Mapletish CoH 49 Squad.

Formations and Style Modifiers
Mapletish will use the good old 4-2-2-1-1 the main formation that build up this young team which was chosen by the team manager Yannis Spiridon after Dr Hartmann Mathis was chosen to be the I/C of team Mapletish for the CoH49.With the current young team up and going for Mapletish,the captain of the CoH 49 squad will be Gil Deigo,being 24 years old,much older than all of the squad members.The style modifiers would be +5.

The Little Rping
By The Sports Editor : Mirko Lazar
Let's put the World Cup behind us and now let's look ahead at the Cup Of Harmony 49,with a squad that is filled with players who graduated from Golden Phoniex's Phoniex Imperial Youth Academy or Home United's La Ademica or Matting Memorial's Central Matting Central Of Youth Academy or Struaggit United's Struggait Youth Performance Centre,the current young squad that will attend this CoH will be from this four youth academies,almost all of them didn't even have a youth cap to their names,except for Gil Deigo who represented Mapletish in the U16 URA Tiger Cup in his teenage years.With only an experienced lad that have attended at least the Tiger Cup,Mapletish would be in trouble if he is not able to bring out the entire squad morale.The prestigious Mapletish FA Grade A Coaching License by Yannis Spiridon would definitely give the squad a boost with some of his tactics and tactical arrangement.A lot will be depended on Gil Deigo so hopes will be pinned on him and the amount of pressure that will meet him will be the maximum and with the winger's and midfield plus attacking duty and the defensive duty piled on him to go all around the pitch from box to box,it will be a up to up challenge for him and if he goes down because he is tired,it is believed that the entire wall of play will fall,well not so bad but the attacking pile up will start to topple if the squad don;t train well together.With hopes pinned on Mapletish to at least go home with something at the end of the day,that might be something that will give the Grade A coach some motivation for the upcoming CoH 49.What can I say now,just a good luck to Team Mapletish in the CoH 49.

Rosters can just be a dry copy-paste of what you posted in the WC Rosters thread. At the very least, posting it in this thread shows you're interested, but making it better/editing stats to include qualifying stage matches will mean it is rewarded better than a dry copy-paste. Nations that don't post a roster will have their WC roster linked (if one exists) but not scored.

I also draw your attention to this part of our bid:
'We are aiming for a tournament of 32, 40, or 48 teams, though 36, 44 and 45 will be considered if we are stuck. We would rather wait until positively responded invitations reach a preferred number, and if numbers of acceptance are slowing down prior to a number like 40 for example, we reserve the right to make an announcement stating 40 as the new limit and wait for the 40th entry rather than waiting until we reach 48. If stuck between usable numbers and forced to cut entries, we would start with those who accepted their invitations most recently.'*

*Recent exceptions to this rule are Bleak Rock, who PIS volunteers to get cut in this instance, Seunem who has done likewise, and Antoletia/Taeshan who are the same user.

New kits
Universal Designs Limited have announced Ipeland's new kit for the Cup of Harmony. According to the creators, "It's simple and shows Ipeland's national identity". They also announced a special kit to commemorate the loss of one of Ipeland's great philosophers, and Deniel Stainag's father. It has one of his famous quotes on the front of the all black shirt. Rouge Pioneers accepts the invite to the Cup of Harmony. Can you post a link to the WC rosters thread for your roster?
