Well, this is an interesting situation.

If Saintland wins all three games tommorow, they will be in first place at the half way mark of group play.
If Saintland wins two games tommorow, then we will have identical records, and we will be tied going into the half-way point of group play.
If Frenline Delpha wins two or all games tommorow, then we will have sole possesion of Group 3 through the half-way point. This will be interesting.

Crap, I missed cutoff. I still get an RP bonus for the thing I just posted, right, or would it not count because it is from an older round's series?

Yesterday was a scheduled off day (as is every Wednesday) for personal (RL-related) reasons on my part.

Another thing to note: If no tiebreaker games are required, next Tuesday will be an off day as well and the playoffs will start on Thursday as scheduled. If tiebreaker games will take more than 1 day, Wednesday of next week will still be an off day and the playoff schedule will be pushed back accordingly.

May I ask what tiebreaker you are using that puts you in first place, even though I have more runs for, less runs against, and a higher RD than you. I couldn't seem to find it in your host bid. I wanna say h-t-h record.
I don't know how long I'll be back, but I just thought I'd stop in and say hi, at least.

The tiebreakers for playoff seeding mentioned in my bid: Wins, HTH, Run Difference. The final one (rank+RP) isn't applied since xkoranate's table generator doesn't support it.

These only matter if both teams with the same record would advance anyway (ie. are either top 2 or one of the 2 best 3rd place teams). Otherwise, tiebreaker games will be played to decide the playoff spots (as they do in MLB). Runs for, Runs against and HTH run difference aren't used.

I figured as much. For some reason, I couldn't find it in your host bid. Oh well. Thanks. :)

Sorry about my lack of activity in RPing this...summer happens.

I was active, though, in WBC 33. About how much substance do I need to put in an RP for it to count getting into the Council? I'm going to fire my entire management team after this debacle, but is that substantial enough?

It depends on what the voters think.... And speaking of voters, the Constitution is unclear as to whether Nova Anglicana can get elected after serving part of Llama's term. I propose to fix that.

I propose to change Article III, Section 2 to the following:

The president will be elected after every third World Baseball Classic, and will serve terms of three Classics. No one may be elected president twice consecutively.

New text bolded. For reference, the current text is

The president will be elected after every third World Baseball Classic, and will serve terms of three Classics. No one may serve as president for two consecutive terms.

Language struck for emphasis.

Assuming we get the appropriate seconds, I propose we vote on this concurrently to council voting, and then hold presidential nominations and vote as usual. Assuming the amendment passes and Nova is eligible, I think it would be fair if I, as Vice President, collected nominations and the eventual vote (assuming Nova made it onto the ballot.) Should Nova agree to that, I would not accept any nominations for President lest there be a conflict of interest, though if Nova or whoever wants to make me VP again, I'm OK with that.
