This is the RP, Roster and Results thread for the second Volleyball World Expo. Sign-ups are still open, but if you would like to post your rosters now you are free to do so. After sign-ups are closed I will post the groups and a schedule along with venues. Remember, this tournament was originally intended for men, but in the first VWE many nations sent all-female teams which is fine. Also, the first group stage takes place in the home nations, so if for RP purposes you would like to post a stadium that is great!

It's finally here and it's in Carasatoga! The II World Volleyball Expo is beginning on Tuesday night and our home nation's G-Hawks are getting ready to return to the court and do one better than they did last year... win it all. When the last VWE came to the Old Coast Nation the G-Hawks made a Cinderella run to the finals where they eventually fell to Ninety-Five X. Now, Carasatogan fans are raring to go and so are the players. Our Volleyball expert Noah Brigzby breaks down Group F and also gives his predictions for the rest of the tournament.

Group F:

Carasatoga is looking good this year, but after the success of VWE I more nations have come to try and make their name on the international volleyball stage, the G-Hawks are going to have much more competition than last year, especially in the form of group mate Sarzonia. The G-Hawks are ranked 2nd in the world now, tied with Vulshain, and look good to at the very least make it to the second group stage. All the players from the first VWE are returning, this time with international experience, and Coach Yates will be looking to Blake Richards to set up Sidney Stevens for the kills, and the wins.

Sarzonia is one of the only returning sides this year and the Stars did not show well in the last Volleyball World Expo. This is a new year, however, and the Stars have a renewed vigor for volleyball and look to make a run deep into the Expo. Sarzonia is ranked 13th, last of all ranked nations, but this will make little difference when the Stars begin playing on the court. There also might be something invested in the games where Sarzonia meets the host Carasatoga, as the two nations are in the same qualifying group for both the VWE II and the IBC 8.

Taeshan was the nation that lost the host vote for VWE II but they are still looking to do well in Carasatoga. This is the team that Carasatoga needs to watch out for, as Taeshan is hoping for upsets, and that hope seems viable.

Perahikia is the team that needs a miracle to advance out of Group F with Sarzonia, Carasatoga and Taeshan in the group, they might just be looking to win a couple sets, let alone matches.

Predictions:
Group A

4. Libre Borinquen

With the other number 2 ranked nation, Group A seems to be Vulshain's to lose, the real question will be who takes 2nd. We believe it will be a toss-up between Beaverriver and Swartaz, more than likely the tiebreaker coming down to who lost less sets to Vulshain and who won more against Libre Borinquen.

3. Andossa se Mitrin Vega
4. Darmen

We have dubbed Group B this years 'Group of Death.' We believe that Bergnovinaia's ranking of 5 will see it through to the 2nd Group Stage, but other than this we have no idea who is going to finish where.

Group C
1. ₈Altimarus
2. Stuffed Taxidermists
3. Raurosia
4. Alphadonia

This group is the USA's to lose as well with Stuffed Taxidermists coming in comfortably at 2nd to advance to the second Group Stage.

Group D
1. ₁Ninety-Five X
2. Cyborg Holland
3. Wadomia
4. New Palmouth

This group holds the number 1 rank in the world, and so the hope is to come in 2nd and advance. Cyborg Holland has the international experience that we feel will get it there, but Wadomia will definitely have something to say about that.

Group E
1. Cassadaigua
2. ₆Civil Citizenry
3. Evilbanana
4. Okunion

Newcomers to the VWE Cassadaigua will probably take this group to the bank, but Civil Citizenry might stop the women of Cass on the court. Evilbanana and Okunion really are playing for third here.

Group F

2. ₂Carasatoga
3. Taeshan
4. Perahikia

Now for Group F. Despite its number 2 rank, we think Carasatoga won't be able to compete against Sarzonia's new found volleyball soul, and perhaps even Taeshan could advance if they can make up ground over Sarzonia and Carasatoga. One things for sure, better luck next year Perahikia.

Vulshain's first international volleyball team, the Angel Hounds, have returned. In addition, the Minister for Sports, Tourism, and Youth, Vikyia Phyllis Alfreda, has added that Vulshain will be able to host one of the games here in Vulshain's Grand Stadium, in the capital city of Kitsuniva.

With Pacific City hosting 95X’s home IBC 8 games, the NVL announced it secured the Cascade Dome for home VWE 2 matches. Due to a last-minute emergency scheduling unavailability, the NVL was forced to move matches to a smaller venue in Cascadia.

95X national teams have traditionally used yellow uniforms with black lettering, and black uniforms with yellow lettering. "Ninety-Five X" is spelled out to avoid confusion with the players' number.

OSN Volleyball

This is Mark Burnell for OSN volleyball central. I am here live from Aquafina Gardens in Hialeh at the World Volleyball Expo. Well the first two matchdays are over. And Okunion Nationals have gotten off to a blistering start. It seemed as though Crystal Miller could not be stopped in these first two matches. In the first match against Cassadaigua, the Lady Okies took the match 3-2, in the first game it was right down to the wire in a high scoring affair, Okunion wins 25-22. In the second game Okunion lost their fire losing 25-10. With the series tied going into game three that would give one team or another the advantage, Okunion came up short yet again, 25-16. In an elimination game for Okunion, the ladies came up huge winning 25-19. In the deciding game 5, Okunion would win fairly easy, 15-8. This was a huge series comeback and an upset all together, but the ladies got it done.
In the next matchday against Evilbanana, it was a back and forth game one with Evil winning in an extra round 26-24. Okunion would rebound well, winning the next two games, 25-15, 25-9. Coach Blake Miller was frustrated on the thought that this match would have been over, had they won the first game. They didn't however, so onto the game 4 where Okuion could end this match, they didn't however losing 25-20. In a deciding game 5 yet again, Okunion could win in a very close match 16-14.

The Raurosian team competing in the Second World Volleyball Expo did fairly well at yesterdays matches. In the first match, they faced off against Stuffed Taxidermists for a very close victory, 3 to 2. The team won the second, third, and fifth games, though not by much.

In the second match, Raurosia played against Altimarus. The team was less successful here, losing the match 3 to 2. The 2 victories were the second and third games. In the third game, the Raurosian team won by 13 points! Still, they lost the final game 15 to 13.

Raurosia is currently ranked 3rd in Group C. They will need to do very well in today's matches to advance to the next round. Head Coach Chris Drevvy said that "the team played very well and I expect them to advance to the nxt round."

VCNMN's Coverage of the II Volleyball World Expo

Steve Kazatvey here for VCNMN, and once again, the Angel Hounds have started off to a great start in Carasatoga. The Angel Hounds wowed spectators as they dominated both their first matches, beating first Beaverriver and then Libre Borinquen. Coach Fyodor Kropotkhur had this to say. "The Angel Hounds have been practicing since the first Volleyball World Expo. We did an excellent job last go around, and this time we hope to be better than before."

The Angel Hounds have indeed proven that practicing hard and excellent teamwork truly pay off as shown by the matches against Beaverriver and Libre Borinquen.

The Angel Hounds go up against Swartaz. They then have a rematch with Beaverriver, who is probably gearing up to overpower the Angel Hounds.

Libre Borinquen sport news:

The National team of Libre Borinquen competing in the Second World Volleyball Expo did way better than expected in yesterdays matches. In the first match, our team went against Swartza in a decisive victory, 3 to 1. The team won the first game by 25-14, second game by 25-15, third game was won by Swartza by 21-25, and the fourth game was won bu Libre Borinquen by 25-13.

In the second match, Libre Borinquen played against Vulshain. The team was not as great here, losing the match 3 to 1. The victory match was the second game 21-25. In the first game, we lost 25-14, in the third we lost 25 to 23, and in the fourth game, we lost 25-13.

Libre Borinquen is currently ranked 3rd in Group A. Though many are concerned about today's matches, Head Coach Ricky Lopez had this to say, "We were seriously shocked when we won the first match of the day. We were expecting to loose each and every one of them. But the first game taught us that we can win, and win we must. The teams morale is great for the next game, and if we go down, well go down fighting, that's for sure."

Jose Polanco was taking a nice little swim around the pool. Darmen had been so close to going 2-0 in it's first two matches in the WVE2. They had just narrowly lost to Andossa se Mitrin Vega by 3 sets. But they dominated Delaclava winning 3 games to none. They were currently sitting in third place of Group B.

Cristian Polanco, Jose's brother, jumped off the diving board into the pool. Before long the rest of the team jumped in, and a game of "Marco Polo" began. The whole team had fun, until an IG-2 agent that was accompanying the team yelled, "Get out of the bloody pool, you must practice and make the Fatherland proud." The team climed out of the pool, reluctantly, and dried themselves. They returned to their hotel rooms, dressed themselves, and began the short walk to the local gym to practice.

After pratice, the players raced back to the hotel, put on their swimming trunks, and jumped into the pool, begining a new game of "Marco Polo", all to the dismay of the IG-2 agent.
