Somewhat IC, somewhat OOC question - for Equestrian events, can pony nations enter sapient horses without a rider? Will they be burdened with a rider-like weight?

What about the equestrian portion of modern pentathlon, where part of the difficulty is that the rider is assigned to the horse right before the event? Obviously sapient horses would have a huge (IC) advantage.

OOCly - you can enter any event with whoever or whatever you like, assigning skill values as you see fit. ICly - well, I don't think there's any set guidelines on this, though Equestrian States will have set any precedents regarding equine participants.

Clay tablets? No.
Tablet pills? Depends on what drugs you put in them.
Windows tablets? Probably.

Why don’t you just try it on whatever kind of tablet you’re using?

The way I've RPed my use of sapient equines (ponies, horses, zebras, etc.) in equestrian events in the past is by adding "rider-like" weights as substitutes for actual riders where needed.

As for modern pentathlon's random horse assignment thing, that's just tough luck for you silly humans. We look forward to curbstomping y'all again - *ahem* - we mean, defending our mares' gold and moving up a couple places on the podium in the stallions' event. :p

That makes sense, but expect (IC) complaints from us over your "cheating" in modern pentathlon. Then again, one of our modern pentathletes is a clown. No really, he's a clown who may or may not compete in clown costume.

It sure does. There should be a [1] in the cell above the skill points cell for team events. This indicates that it is 1 (one) entry.

I just realised I left fencing in my sign-up, despite having no athletes in it (spreadsheet wasn't working for me, so I had to do it manually). I'll edit it in a tick, but do I need to repost the sign-up or is editing okay? I'm not adding or removing any athletes, just removing extraneous stuff.

Basically, I start searches through the thread beginning with where I last posted in the signup thread to announce where I updated. So in your case, you can edit it, as you posted your delegation after I last did that.

Okay, and how is that usually handled? Does Polar Islandstates bring in a 100-ranked squad, or are the Olympics occasionally RPed as a chance for experimentation and lower-level squads being used? What should I, an unranked nation with no Football experience save a 0-2-1 Copa Rushmori campaign, enroll as?

It's entirely up to you. Most nations follow RL, sending an U-23 squad with three overage players, but you're certainly allowed to send your full senior squad. You could also send a bunch of three year olds with a skill mod of 100. That'd probably be pretty hard to justify IC'ly though.
