Hey, Liventia, I was just scrolling through and I was wondering whether there was still an error with my sign-up, or whether you'd simply missed it off the completed sign-up list?

I dont know if my one BoF is enough WCC hosting experience, especially since i haven't participated in an olympics before, but I would be willing to scorinate demonstration events if anyone proposing them needs someone. Just feel free to ask, here or through TG.
If you ever have an RPing question, please TG me about it.

A question on the RPing field. How is it decided who participates in what heat in events such as swimming, athletics, rowing? I know that such a thing doesn't matter scorinator-wise, but I wondered RPwise. Looking at the results from Olympic heats, it seems to suggest that your personal best/qualification time is determining (which would be something that could be matched to your skill IC wise).

I think in the RL-Olympics at least the track events are seeded blindly.

As with past Olympics, due to the large size of the field in those events, there won't be any scorination heats. ICly you may do what you like, as long as it doesn't alter any previous RPs on the same event.

RP thread will be up real soonish, but I need to get through the signups this morning before I post that up so that people with errors correct their issues before starting to RP.

Maybe you don't know to much from Footballand due his ostracism for centuries, however a particular fact of this nation is that the entire population, 32 million people, from an early age (from 3 years), practice the most sports variables within a high-performance sports program called "Footballand not is just football."

For many years this program was a complete mystery to the outside world, but for this vast nation was a reality in the domestic competitions.
Anyway it should be mentioned that due to the characteristics of the program there is a varied quality among the Footies, but the broad policy of integration of our government creates that although many may not be seen as great athletes for the rest of the world, everyone has the right to play sports at the highest level with the top athletes in the nation.

The geography of Footballand, with multiple climates and topography, make that all disciplines can be practiced in the best of conditions, and where a lot has to do with that the budget for sports venues and even more, great places training, real bunkers to preparation, where a strict workout routine, stringent diet plans and the latest technology available to sports, make Footballand can aspire to play a good role in these games, despite the drawbacks generated during the visas tramitation for their representatives to reach to Orean in the best possible way.

Its 2000 km of coastline have generated a large water-loving population in the east of the country, in the inhospitable south, where the cold creek bones and the wind never ceases its activity, resulting in indoor sports: Basketball, Handball , Volleyball, Table Tennis to name a few, in the mountainous regions of western flourished the hard contact disciplines , Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, Greco-Roman, and specially, the Archery, practiced for survival since immemorial times and most recently, like a extention of that, the shooting,

Finally the broad prairies of central zone, the economic largest zone of the country and most populated agglomeration, where its capital is located, Azteca Stadium, named after the place where the left foot of God Diego had its most memorable battles*, gave step by intensive practice of most sports, in other words, it is as if the whole nation will be put inside that only city... however, most of the society, by his conception about the life, make a true reflection in his interest to team sports and even when individual practices give rise to experiences in a team as in fencing, artistic gymnastics and equestrian disciplines, the level of athletes improve exponentially.

Regards
Footballand Olympic Committee

It rises to the surface of the world, a new and glorious Nation, its head crowned with laurels and their feet lying a lion...

I corrected two of my events - the swimming relay my athletes were competing in was non-existent (though it may have been a track event, come to think of it) and so I changed that to a real one. Also, those two will now be competing in the 200 m instead of the 400 m to correspond with the relay. Please confirm you have updated your records. Thanks.

Unnecessary; I'd asked for a justification of his min-maxing which he provided with that post. Yours, on the other hand, was not helpful.
Everyone else should take Cassadaigua's advice.

That may sound as if I wanted to get the better of someone to help my own ambitions, but..... no wait, that is exactly the goal. :D And without calling names *cough* Shofercia *cough*...

Because I wonder how a table tennis team with one World Class Player (100) and two seemingly half blind Shakehand players (0 - and I am not talking about Shakehand- in difference to Penholderstyle) can reach a skill of 100. How does the one player make up for his two teammates, if he is only allowed to play two games? Do we have different rules compared to RL-Olympics here, or are the two players playing the singles with the wrong hand and without glasses for a reason? Are the two players playing in the team are different players as the ones playing in the singles and only accidently have the exact same name? Questions upon questions.
Sorry, but somehow that really concerned me when I saw that and I felt like nitpicking after all the discussions about justified Minmaxing.

And do we play with the RL-Olympic Rule of "only three players older then 23 allowed in Football (man)"? That would bring my team close to disqualification. :o

What's to say he can't RP that the two who can't do well individually play better under the pressure of a team situation? I've got no issues with that. It's my job to worry about min-maxing, not yours.

I would say it's an unwritten rule but it's really 'do what you want'.

Any chance we can extend the deadline a few hours as I'm hoping a friend can sign up. This will be his first Olympics. He's pretty much got everything ready including an explanation to min max ing. So if you can can you extend to I guess midnight eastern time pleas?

No, the deadline has been set for quite a while, and even extended yesterday. I've got to cut off at some point for me to start the hard logistics work, I can't keep getting new signups. I'm sorry.

I won't deal with a hypothetical situation as my answer may open up a can of worms. The best I can offer is that I'll decide if and when he does post it.
