Each team plays each other 4 times.

Basketball on Ark is a bit of an underground sport and not contested by the Officer class. The civilians of Ark first began with two teams of their own, The Piranhas and the Sawfish. Since then, The Ables and The Ordinarys football team have added their own basketball team to the league, closely followed by a fourth team, the Arka Mermaids.

A/PLI Basketball League

To improve international relations and further the sport in the Paradystopi Commonwealth, A joint basketball league has been proposed between The Paradystopi Lymryk Isles and Ark. Each country will have their own individual league and upon it's conclusion there shall be a playoff round for overall champion and IUBC qualification.

In the initial country leagues, each team shall play each other three times. In the Arka League, 2 teams will advance to the playoffs, for the Lymryk Isles, 4 teams. These 6 six teams will play each other a further 3 times to determine a champion.

Receiving sponsorship from the Paradystopi design company, Aktualyze saw the CCRFP (Communadi Code Rugby Federation of Paradystopia) manage to finally create a national league for the sport rather than the myriad little unregulated leagues which existed before. Several teams from The Paradystopi Lymryk Isles will also compete within this new league system.

The League will be three-tiered. The top flight, containing 10 teams is hereby named the Aktualyze YottaLiga or YLiga. The second tier, hereby named the Aktualyze TerraLiga or TLiga will contain 14 teams and the lowest division, the Aktualyze MegaLiga or MLiga, 16 teams. The is also the Aktualyze Cup or ACup, which is a knockout tournament featuring all teams across the three leagues.

Every care has been taken to emulate the league system in the Commune. Promotions and relegations between the leagues will follow exactly as will the system of awarding 5 points for a victory and 1 for a draw. Hoping for a better shot in this next season, the Green and Blacks have recruited several new players to their roster. Most have come from within the Paradystopi Commonwealth to attempt to make careers for themselves in football. One key signing however, is that of Kezia of Some Village. Already a talented international sportswoman in her own right seeking to prove herself in the masculine-dominated forum of football. Her presence is expected to enthuse the Arkan F.C. squad. There were also a few raised eyebrows of the signing of Heartmend, a crystal pony from the Crystal Empire who will take up the role of sweeper. Kharri Sfadro will once again begin the season as main goalkeeper and looks to be going from strength to strength. This combination of nurtured local talent as well as that from abroad will surely see the Green and Blacks not be the push-over they have been viewed in previous seasons.

We believe that Arkan F.C. will excel themselves this year. A deep and flexible roster, new signings and the key ingredient; optimism is expected to take them to new heights. It is however, unlikely they'll be able to manage a complete turnaround and claim a league championship.

The Officers have made but one change to their team this season and this could be their downfall. Having taken on Miranda Xandrasdottjr in goal from TAATO and relying upon last year's team to accomplish what it could not do last year seems a ridiculous strategy. Again, the team have been working hard and their determination could carry them through. Failing that, Rhenja and Hurris are still two of the best players in the league and have the potential to support and encourage the team. Florasdottjr's leadership is also a positive boon not to be underestimated.

Olga Ekrast's strategy to battle on with the same tactics and very similar team can only take them so far and we feel the Green and Blacks will surprise them. This team is in real need of some fresh blood and many suggest this should start with a new manager. Certainly, should the team realise our expectation, Mrs Ekrast will almost certainly not be returning for another season.

The signing of young Communadi Qahlebja Sigismundovik has been a major talking point in the run up to the league. It was well known that scouts in the Commune had had their eyes on her for the past year or so and finally the deal has come into fruition. This talented young lady is hoped to compliment Lucindasdottjr upfront and further TAATO's already impressive attacking style of play. In other foreign signings, the New Sideburnese Melissa Tightrope begins in goal as her contract with Brinemouth expired prior to this season. Wildflower and Martina Wolff of the Equestrian States are also expected to inject some exotic flair. Rja Anjasdottjr has joined the defensive four and will start the season in the first team and Yulia Snhyezhenasdottjr, also fresh from the youth team, is expected to see plenty of time on the field in the upcoming season.

An injection of foreign talent, the introduction of young players into the first team alongside the old stalwarts. Flora Kharrisestra, in our mind, has prepared impeccably for the upcoming season and TAATO will be a hard team to beat. There are also rumours that the league sponsors; Shploj^tm will be seeking to upgrade the Arkan entrance to the Champion's Cup rather than the Globe Cup. This can be nothing but further encouragement for TAATO to succeed in the Lhigha Arka this year.

Kezia 87"

A truly fairytale start for Arkan F.C. and a disappointing shock for TAATO. There was only ever one contender for Woman of the Match and that was Kharri Sfadro. Many inspired saves continued to keep the Green and Blacks alive and fighting. The only goal of the match came from the Some Villager debutante, Kezia. A poorly taken corner by Vivjs was too close to Sfadro who quickly initiated a counterattack. Some good running from Kallasdun and well executed passing play deep in the TAATO half saw Kezia easily finish from just outside the six yard box. The one solace that TAATO can take from this match is that Lucindasdottjr and Sigismunodovik were a troublesome force and perhaps unfortunate in failing to convert upon their many chances. The Arkans will have to look closely at plugging up these defensive holes in future matches or this win will soon become a meaningless statistic.

Yasmina Rhuthsdottjr must have pinched herself when the final whistle blew on this one. No-one in the crowd seemed able to comprehend it either. When Anneclairesdottjr's early goal; a devastating rocket of a shot from nearly 35 yards out ricocheted in off the post, it was believed that the Officers were making a challenge for the top spot. How wrong we all were! Heartmend took it upon herself to stick to Anneclairesdottjr and the Officers seemed to be lacking a sting upfront from there on in. When Kallasdun's lucky header off Ariadne's corner found the net, The Arkans began the fightback with a vengeance. No sooner than they repossessed the ball after the restart, they threw themselves at their opponents. Eventually Kezia, from an awkward angle made Xandrasdottjr look foolish with a beautifully placed lob which dropped into the far side of the goal. The half-time whistle couldn't come soon enough for the ailing Officers. The second half began with the Officers trying to get this game back under control. The cracks were however, already forming and when Mostromonovik's header from another of Ariadne's corners thundered past Xandrasdottjrs flailing arms, you could tell it was all over. The Officer's end of the ground began expressing their displeasure and some fans began leaving the arena. They were the lucky ones ... Within minutes, a dreadful back pass from Lukk was intercepted by Estor who had no trouble in calmly taking the ball around Xandrasdottjr and making it 4-1. It was certainly a match for Xandrasdottjr to forget when a speculative long range shot from Ariadne took a lucky deflection off the hip of Marisdottjr, floating the ball just out of her reach. For the final minutes of the game, the Officer's stands chanted loudly for the resignation of Olga Ekrast and one can hardly blame them.

Things went from bad to worse for the Officers after their match against TAATO. The silly defensive blunders were still apparent. Also, when a team with the attacking capabilities of TAATO face up against their old keeper who left the squad to join their rivals, you cannot expect mercy to be shown. It certainly wasn't. It was barely a quarter of an hour into the game before Lucindasdottjr set up Sigismundovik with a beautifully weighed through ball. Sigismundovik duly obliging with an easy goal. Two minutes later and a near carbon copy of the previous move made it 2-0. The crowd were already calling for Ekrast to stand down, though in much cruder terms. The third goal came in the thirtieth minute when Sigismundovik's dummy run fooled the defenders into thinking TAATO were about to replicate their previous successes. Running into the space, Lucindasdottjr easily placed the ball past Xandrasdottjr for 3-0. Sigismundovik made her hat-trick in true style just before the end of the half. A high cross from Maari which one could only assume was meant for Wildflower found Sigismundovik near the back post whose left-footed volley would have troubled any keeper. As the teams exited the field for the half-time break, there was distinct booing aimed at the Officers XI squad. There was an eerie sort of calm for the beginning of the second half as though neither team really wanted to attack and this served to only further frustrate the fans. It was the 74th minute before they finally got something to cheer about when Anneclairesdottjr rose strong for a corner from Florasdottjr, the glancing header being enough to see the ball find the net. Celebrations were short-lived though when Iris Maari's shot from Sigismundovik's layoff made it two 5-1 defeats in a row for the Officers.

Some two hours after the final whistle of TAATO versus the Officers XI, it was announced that the Rt-Hon Olga Ekrast Jnr. had been fired from her post as manager. The news came as little surprise to many fans who had been urging the club to hire a new manager after last season's mid-table finish. The Club's director; Duchess Evelyn Olgasdottjr gave this short statement.

Recently, the performance of the Officers XI has been far below the expectations of the committee and, to be frank, an insult to all those who cherish this historic team. It is the opinion of the committee that the best course of action is to release Mrs Ekrast from her position and to search for a manager who is capable of driving this team forward and achieving the results this team deserves.

Mrs Olgasdottjr went on to name Anne-Claire Florasdottjr as caretaker manager until a permanent solution can be found. Ms Florasdottjr had this to say.

I'd like to say it was a shock to hear that Olga had been fired, but in truth, it wasn't. There's been a lot of ill feeling towards her at the club recently and I agree with the board's decision. I just hope I can salvage some dignity following this difficult start to the season and start making tracks towards challenging for the title once again.

Mrs Ekrast declined to comment on the days proceedings.

Late Transfer News
Dana Conlan of New Sideburn has agreed to manage The Officers XI after the departure of the Rt-Hon. Mrs Olga Ekrast. One of her first acts was to secure some outside talent in the form of 25 year old Sunrisian Goalkeeper, Erika Sambueza and Felixian midfielder, Arin Warner.

TAATO has also confirmed a new Felixian signing. That of Marta Ventura. Marta is a legend of women's football in Felix and her arrival is much anticipated.

Half the season played and the Arkans yet to lose a match. How much longer can it continue? TAATO will be very unhappy not to have made it three points here as they opted for the more attacking formation of 4-3-1-2, resting Vivjs, dropping Lucindasdottjr into a more attacking midfield role and giving new signing Marta Ventura a start alongside Sigismundovik. There were a great many moments when TAATO looked really dangerous on the attack but all were quelled by a combination of Heartmend holding the defense steady and Sfadro making the important saves when necessary. The Arkans never really managed to put together a productive attack. The closest incident being a 30 yard free kick from Ariadne passing the wrong side of the post by only an inch or two. The stand out player of the match was Zoey Stown, holding the central midfield diligently and feeding the ball to the TAATO forwards with near pinpoint accuracy.

Finally, the Officers are off the mark with a meagre, if hard fought point against the Arkans. The first half looked as though the Arkans were cruising. Kezia's early goal deflating a team hoping for big things with their new manager and two new players. The goal itself was a well executed header from an Ariadne cross, zipping between Sambueza's leg and the near post. By the time Dorotheasdottjr put home a lucky rebound from an Estor shot, things looked bleak for the Officers. Dana Conlan showing some Sideburnese vitriol by remaining on her feet and screaming at the players for the remainder of the half. As soon as the second half kicked off, the Officers looked a new team. Some vigour had been restored and it didn't take long for this to result in a goal. Felixian Arin Warner sending a long ball down the field to Merriwoman. Her headed pass to Hurris was deftly one-two'd and Merriwoman didn't miss her chance to hammer the ball past Sfadro. Instantly the game's dynamic changed and the following 20 minutes consisted of near constant Officer attacks. Hurris was proving difficult to handle and had it not been for a goal-line save from Heartmend, the equaliser would have come considerably earlier than it actually did. By the 77th minute, the Arkan lead was beyond fragile. A goal was waiting to happen and it was Rhenja who obliged. A corner was taken short to Felix, who began moving into the box. Taking the ball around Hurrun along the goal-line, she flicked the ball inside to Anneclairesdottjr, who's short pass to Rhenja allowed the winger to put the ball into the roof of the net. Two-all, and the Arkans stepped up a gear. The football was fast, attacking and fierce from both sides, from counter-attack to counter-counter-attack. A lax shot from Felix was caught easily by Sfadro who promptly booted the ball far up the field. With the defense too far advanced, it was a one-on-one race between Kezia and Marisdottjr for possession. As Kezia pulled away from the Officers defender, Sambueza began her charge. With a stunningly timed half-volley, Kezia's shot flew over the surprised keeper and into the net. An unbelievable first touch. The celebrations were however, short-lived. From the restart, the Officers threw everything they had back at the Arkans. Anneclairesdottjr broke into the box and a wild and desperate tackle saw the referee point to the spot and Arkan hearts drop. Hurris didn't need a second chance to convert the opportunity and Sfadro was powerless to stop it. The game finished with both sides still desperate to grasp a winner, but neither did.

An unbelievable climax to the mid-season period. Both teams determined to secure some points. The Officers XI, to maintain some dignity after a hideous opening to the season and TAATO, to ensure Arkan F.C. don't escape their grasp and achieve the seemingly impossible task of winning the league over them. From the very opening, this game began with a bang. The Officers launched into an attack, driving forward and winning themselves a corner. As the ball came into the box, three players competed in the melee to win the ball. It was Anneclairesdottjr that made the connection, putting the ball out of reach of Tightrope and instantly giving the Officers the lead. 3 minutes later, it became a two-goal lead. Hurris broke free from Wolff and found herself in space. An obviously rehearsed move with Merriwoman saw her past Oksnitapa and with just Tightrope to beat. A low drive to the left of TAATO's keeper put the Officers firmly in the lead in just over 5 minutes of play. It didn't take long for TAATO to reply though. Sigismundovik finishing a lovely passing move with Sambueza nowhere in sight. For the the remainder of the half, the action calmed with the Officers electing to maintain the lead and TAATO looking for opportunities for slow build up play. It took until the added minutes of the first half before Ventura capitalised on an opening. Demonstrating her experience with a finely placed shot from the edge of the box. The second half began as the first did, with some vicious attacks though none managed to find the back of the net. However, when Hurris was brought down just outside the TAATO penalty area, a quickly taken free kick from Annesclairesdottjr caught TAATO off-guard and once again put the Officers back in the driving seat. Just over ten minutes past before TAATO evened the scores. A cross from Iris Maari was sent from Lucindasdottjr's head to Stown's feet. Deftly controlled, then sent out of the reach of Sambueza to make three-all. The next player to make the scoresheet was Equestrian Wildflower. The pegasus received a quickly taken free kick from Maari, found a little space and fired a scorcher from near-35 yards out. Though Sambueza got a hand to the ball, it was not enough to stop the powerful shot from not reaching its target and for the first time in the game, TAATO were on top. Sadly for them, the Officers had one final trick up their sleeves and when Iris Maari's 80th minute corner was met by the head of Aja Hurris, the scores were leveled once more. The final minutes of the game were awash with lacklustre shots as the teams fought against fatigue. Maari managed to hit the bar with a free kick in the dying embers of the match but the game finished with both teams taking a portion of the points.

Keen to regain control of the Lhigha, TAATO began this game at a great tempo. Ruthlessly hammering away at the Arkan defence, which to it's credit, remained solid for longer than most expected. However, it was Stown who eventually broke the deadlock. TAATO working the ball around the Arkan area, looking for the slightest chance with six Arkan players penned inside. Stown made the most of Sfadro's obscured view and her powerful low shot was seen too late for the young keeper to get a hand to it. The Arkans fought against the deficit valiantly but this unfortunately led to the second goal by Stown. Receiving a quick pass from Fasog, Stown began the counterattack. Superbly wrong-footing Heartmend left her with only Sfadro to beat and although the initial shot was saved, Stown didn't make the same mistake with the rebound and TAATO were two-nil up before the break. In the second half, TAATO opted for a more defensive approach, presumably either to goad the Arkans into providing more counterattack opportunities or simply to preserve their lead. Although Estor managed to pull one back with a header from an Ariadne corner in the middle of the half, The Arkans couldn't maintain any aggression and the game petered out with TAATO victorious.

The final fixture between the Arkans and the Officers was a surprisingly dull affair, that is until the final minutes. One can only speculate as to why as a win could've given the team a good chance at completing the true underdog story and winning the league, providing the Officers could hold TAATO. Kezia troubled Sambueza several times but never succeeded in finding the back of the net and Anneclairesdottjr rattled the bar early in the second half. It was finally in the 88th minute when the game came to life. A lacklustre corner from Felix was punched away by Sfadro only to fall to the Officers new signing Arin Warner just outside the box. The Felixian's brutal volley soared into the top corner as the Arkan defenders stood aghast. Suddenly, they came alive. For the final minutes they pounded at the Officers, desperately trying to get back into the game. In the opening second of added time, it was Kezia who equalised. A messy scramble in the Officers box of which words can hardly do justice on the fourth shot eventually crossed the goalline.

For the final match of the season, TAATO; for whom a win would clinch the league faced the Officers XI; yet to find their first win of the season. One would expect in these circumstances that these two attack-minded teams would produce a ferocious display of goalscoring. Although the match was indeed a ferocious display, neither team managed to find the net, unless you count a header by Rhenja which despite finding the back of the net, was adjudged to be offside. The teams simply managed to cancel each other out with the strongest performances coming from Melissa Tightrope and Erika Sambueza.

The final match. The underdogs versus the consistent champions. Last season, the result would have been predictable but this season was a lot harder to call. The majority of people believed that TAATO would win again but the majority of them also said 'but Arkan could win it'. It was a cold day, with a little light drizzle and although the crowd were all wrapped up, the players seemed so focused that it didn't appear to affect them. The stadium was full, awash with white scarves and flag depicting anchors and those in green and black. The fact the stadium was full was astonishing in itself given it's capacity considering the nation's population. It is believed that there were a smattering of fans from other countries in the Paradystopi Commonwealth here to watch the spectacle. Apparently two women from Some Village had also made to trip to watch rising star, Kezia though this was not confirmed and some cynics believe they were probably just two Arka lesbians with a bit-of-a-crush.
The match began to rapturous applause and it was the Arkans who took the initiative forcing TAATO back with some skillful passing play. Soon enough, frustration took it's toll and Anjasdottjr received a yellow for bringing down Yevetti quite harshly. The Arkan midfielder was stretchered off and replaced with Janine Charlesford, a recent signing from the Lymryk Isles. Charlesford set herself up to take the free kick which was in a good goalscoring range. This was, however, all deception and when Ariadne dipped the ball over the wall and into the net. Tightrope didn't even have time to react. One-nil to the Arkans. For the reminder of the half, the Arkans dropped back and defended, repelling Sigismundovik and Lucindasdottjr's penetrating attacks. At the half time whistle, the Arkans were still ahead and their fans were chanting 'So you think you're able?'
It wasn't long into the second half before TAATO evened the scores. Ventura expertly controlling a long ball from Wolff before, in a single fluid motion, perfectly weighting the through ball to Sigismundovik. It was two on two in the defense. Heartmend chasing down Sigismundovik whilst Mostromonovik stuck to Lucindasdottjr. Sigisundovik's pass came and in receiving it, Lucindasdottjr turned Mostromonovik and placed the ball past Sfadro. One-one. For the next twenty minutes, the game balanced upon a knife edge. Both teams producing good attacks and both goalkeepers thwarting everything thrown at them.That is, until Kezia's header from Charlesford's cross found the net via the back post. Once again, the Arkans led provoking TAATO to attack harder. Zoey Stown was proving herself a lynchpin in TAATO's attacks and it was her shot that Kjnsdottjr deflected away from Sfadro and into the net. Once again, the scores were tied and they remained that way until the final whistle blew.
As extra time began, the Arkans looked fatigued. The product of a heroic performance in the league coupled with an unexpected and extended match to finish it and TAATO monopolised. Maintaining their strength, they drove at the Arkans. Sfadro fought to maintain her goal but the attempts were coming thick and fast. It was Wildflower who put the final nail into Arkan F.C.'s coffin. Charging forward onto an early cross from Stown, she headed the ball powerfully out of the reach of the Arkan keeper. The crowd erupted with a simultaneous cheer and sigh. Everyone knew it was over for the brave Arkans. For the rest of the extra period, TAATO held the ball and watched time ebb away, a countdown to their victory. And so it was.

And so once again, TAATO prevail as Arkan champions and march on, hopefully, to the heady heights of the Champions Cup. Though previously the Arkan champion has always gained entry to the Globe Cup, Shplojcorp are pushing for the entry to the higher tier claiming the Arkan champions are just as much champions as those from any of the other national leagues. Some sources state they are prepared to take the UICA to international court should their application be declined. Many players and fans however don't believe these rumours and account them to hearsay regarding a corporation which rules the roost in Ark being unaccustomed to not getting their own way. A Shplojcorp spokeswoman had this to say on the rumours

Here at Shplojcorp, we only want what is best for Arkan football. We believe our champions have every right to compete amongst the best teams in the multiverse and will present our case to the UICA expecting a positive outcome.

She had no comment regarding what would be Shplojcorp's actions should the decision be 'no' and simply restated she believed the outcome to be positive.
Players remain skeptical about this move by Shplojcorp. TAATO captain Kitti Lucindasdottjr had this to say

Sure, we'd love a chance to compete in the Champions' Cup but I personally feel that Shplojcorp will have a difficult time arguing our case if they bring up our recent results in the Globe Cup. It seems a little like trying to run before we can walk. There's a lot of extremely talented teams out there from strong, well-established leagues and although we've come a long way in a short space of time, I'm uncertain whether now is the best time to be looking for Champions' Cup qualification.

Regardless of the decision, TAATO have our full support in whatever tier of the UICA they end up in.

Results

Two matches are played at each team's 'home ground'. For the Junior Ordinarys, this is the TAATO training pitch located at SW Post-Stationary Periphery 002 and for the unlucky Arkan youth team. Stern sector 15, level 1. The TAATO training field is a fully equipped practice arena complete with full-size pitch and even a small stand, recently erected for the benefit of the youth team. Level 1 is in the bowels of the ship and consists of a slightly uneven playing surface of moist, bilge-ridden soil with clumps of yellowy-brown grass. A set of large lamps provide light and there are no additional facilities barring a mouldy wooden hut which serves as a changing room. However, training in such conditions only serves to make the young Arkan ladies stronger than their privileged counterparts.

And so at the conclusion of the opening stage, the team of the nation's capital and Xehmlyoradnixia look set to recreate last season's title clash. However, with Sigismundia Distrikt'Mogd-Syrdusha already guaranteed qualification to the Champions Twenty20 all eyes will be on Xehmlyoradnixia to keep the other Elit'lhigha challengers at bay. Sigismundia'yhuug has a strong team and will be looking to prove themselves against the reigning world champions. Muskulzhmlia'yhuug Distrikt'zapad also cannot be overlooked and although a Champions Twenty20 qualification spot may be a tall order for them, they have the potential to cause a few upsets.

Xehmlyoradnixia regain their title as champions of the Communadi XX/20 Elit'lhigha and hopefully will be able to convert this domestic strength into a good run in the Champions Twenty20. Sigismundia'yhuug will be pretty deflated over a second place finish and no qualification spot though their result shows the depth of strength in Communadi cricket and they'll surely be in contention next year. Sigismundia Distrikt'Mogd-Syrdusha's result will also give them pause for thought as next year they may not have the opportunity to rest upon their laurels. Muskulzhmlia'yhuug Distrikt'zapad will surely be hoping to forget this performance in the Elit'lhigha and hope for better luck next time.

With transfer culture beginning to slowly creep it's way into Communadi Rugby, It looks set to be an interesting season. The Sparrowhawks may now be Seasogs veterans, reaching the final on three consecutive occasions and boasting to be arguably the greatest team around currently but as the old adage goes 'the bigger they are, the harder they fall'. All Lhigha Shamjoniz teams will be wanting to claim they managed to beat this leviathan.
The teams to watch this season, outside of the standard Mosquitos and Sparrowhawks will be RK Svhobodha and RK Hsluuchya. Both have made new signings and will be itching to finally take the league championship trophy south of the river.

By winning the cup, the Communadi Khvadrant of Puu, Kinshish demonstrate themselves to be clearly the strongest team in the Paradystopi league, much to the annoyance of anyone not of Kinshish. As they were already guaranteed entrance to the SEASOGS, Po e Tiknonsens CCRC become the second Lymryker club to scrape qualification.

Season Preview

Welcome to the pre-season round-up of the FLPC or colloquially, since the new branding with an unfortunately misleading logo, the 'Flopsy' leagues.
The new logo is far from all that has changed around here. A glut of transfers have occurred leading to new talent arriving to the league from abroad and some of the established local talent pursuing careers away from Paradystopi shores.

Division 1

Nhorton vo Mirrun

Last season's league winners have made but one change to their squad. It is, however, a big change. Captain Kjn Volgjsrhaad was recently signed by the strong Apoxian team; F.C.Endeavour and the Chequers took to signing Black Star's Hugo Pelkjmo. With such big boots to fill, Pelkjmo will be looking for some strong performances early in the season to gather confidence and get the fans on his side. Luckily, with Braithe, Selk and young Guayabalan James Moriera in front of him, he shouldn't have to worry about being overworked.
Last Season: Champions
Season 2 Prediction: Champions
When Nhorton play well, they're a slick unit and fully capable of retaining their title. With their younger players maturing well, they're the team to beat this season.

Djnamo Sabrjk

Like Nhorton, the Strikes have only made one change to their line-up. With Danial Sevin's departure to Black Star and subsequent signing of skillful otter; Runt Jigglehead from Hoxplohsiv, they'll be hoping to really challenge Nhorton this season. From the early reports, Runt is fitting in very well with Sabrjk's style of play and when you have Tarcka, Jabez and Pitinuus upfront, you're going to give any goalkeeper a hard time. Defensively, they still lack that special spark to make the team a true powerhouse but a real contender nonetheless.
Last Season: 2nd
Season 2 Prediction: 2nd
In truth, calling a victor between Nhorton and the Strikes is always going to be difficult but I think that the Mirrun team will edge the title race as the Strikes fall victim to their own attacking play.

Whilliumiborough Swagger

Having secured ex-Issington midfielder Dan Orpin from Apox, Whilliumiborough look set to continue with their usual Blitzkrieg style of play whilst leaving young Antoletian keeper Luca Hagi to attempt to prevent as many shots as he can. Khorinnha Khayr's departure to Earent will be a bit of a blow for the team but it's likely they'll blast on regardless as per usual.
Last Season: 3rd
Season 2 Prediction: 6th
As the other teams of the league get more accustomed to playing against this team, the more mistakes will be pounced upon and soon these guys could be in need of a serious rethink. Something tells me they'll miss out on a Globe Cup place this year.

Lhaydifee Artisans

The Artisans will be a team to keep an eye on this season. Despite the retirement of captain Elodi Easthouse, Morgana's departure to Apox and Princess Jojo's move to Crystopolis City, the spots have been filled by two Arkan youngsters and Indira Aykaz previously of Hoxplohsiv. Already used to playing together in the middle of the field, the two Arkans could be a key signing for the Artisans and provide a talented a stable midfield for many years to come. Evelyn Paradys is capable of holding a defense alone and once the chemistry sets, they could fast overtake the Strikes and the Chequers as the dominating club in the league.
Last Season: 4th
Season 2 Prediction: 3rd
Big things are expected of this club in the future but the loss of three big names will take a little getting past.

Dzias Riot

Riot will be hoping to improve upon last season's result and get into the UICA this season. A strong yet underrated team bristling with international talent. Providing they can overcome their annoying habit of defeating the big teams but losing to the weaker one, they could provide a challenge this upcoming season.
Last Season: 5th
Season 2 Prediction: 7th
A lack of team chemistry has always been their downfall and this shows little sign of changing and without Alex Paradys' intuitional wing-play on the right, it could be a hard road ahead for the Riot.

Ozkha Rovers

Keen to improve upon their finish last season, the Ozkha Rovers have elected not to make any new signings and really work with what they've got. Their defensive nature, though often a bonus does lead to complacency in attack on occasion resulting in poor results against teams they should easily triumph over.

Season 2 Prediction: 5th
It is hoped they can make their out of season training really work for them. Also, they'll be out to take down local rivals Whilliumiborough which should give them a good target to aim for and provide some much needed drive.

Black Star ve Kwjg

There have been many changes at the Black Star this season. The German American States national keeper has signed for them along with ex-Djnamo Sabrjk's Danial Sevin. With a powerful team and a bad result last year to bounce back from, Black Star should really improve upon last season's mid-table finish.
Last Season: 7th
Season 2 Prediction: 4th
Despite losing two good players, they seem to have shrewdly obtained two better ones and won't want to miss out on the UICA again.

Hoxplohsiv Rastred'Madaa

Hoxplohsiv have had an awful time with players since last season. Firstly, their Monozygotian keeper vanished into the ether and after only managing eighth in the league last time, many players have been tempted away to bigger clubs. The goalkeeper vacancy has been filled by largely untested Jujooan; Plunk and Apoxian Julian Iremonger has been brought in to hopeful salvage some dignity.
Last Season: 8th
Season 2 Prediction: 11th
It's touch and go for Explosion this season with staying afloat their primary concern.

Tiknonsens Palace

The top Lymryker club will be hoping to gain some national credibility after last season's mid-table finish. Two new Apoxian defenders have been brought in to hopefully strengthen the back. Still, it's going to be hard for them and Palace will have to pull out all the stops to acquire a decent position in the league.
Last Season: 9th
Season 2 Prediction: 9th
It's hard to predict how the Lymrykers will do due to Rholand Southbysoutheasthouse's everchanging formations. If they work out more often than they don't, they can expect higher. If they don't work out so much, Palace could find themselves in a relegation battle.

Red Star ve Mirrun

The second Mirrun club in the first division, Red Star are a perennial underdog. Quiet and unassuming but at times devastating. Last season's result was a little harsh for them and they'll certainly be looking to improve.

Season 2 Prediction: 8th
A decent team, but unlikely to really challenge the big dogs ... yet.

Kolperiskonjf Athelhetik

Having made no new signings this season, the Candies certainly run the risk of getting left behind. A youthful squad but without the real quality to command a certain mid-table finish
Last Season: 11th
Season 2 Prediction: 12th (relegated)
The Candies are facing a relegation battle this season and it's looking like one they won't win.

Kwyntayn Rangers

Adopting the role of the 'other' Lymryker team in Division 1, the Imps will have an uphill battle to remain in the top flight. A decent team will some upcoming Lymryker talent but at present not strong enough to stay afloat.
Last Season: 1st - Division 2
Season 2 Prediction: 13th (relegated)
Like when they won the Division two title, Kwyntayn could shock us all again. It is however, doubtful considering their opponents.

Alsabaszi

The team predicted to win the second division will be unlucky to suffer the drop this season. They have a good team and will be spurred on by losing out to Kwyntayn last season. Retiree Frederick ve Goff has been replaced with young Lymryker Ursula Ghedreniscent and this humble team from the islands should hope for a good debut top flight debut.
Last Season: 2nd - Division 2
Season 2 Prediction: 10th
With all the makings of a decent squad, Alsabaszi need to make this count and barring any catastrophes, should avoid relegation.

Twelveports Dockworker's F.C.

After an unbelievable performance against heavily favoured Saltrisi in the the play-off final, the Dockers find themselves in the big league. However, without wishing to appear rude, they should enjoy it whilst they can for, unless they can play day in, day out like the play-off final. Their chances of staying up are slim to none.

Season 2 Prediction: 14th (relegated)

Division 2

In Division 2, Tohrpedo Sugadagha are the obvious favourites to get straight back up into the top flight, closely followed by the Sea-Pteronurian's Alliance. There's an outside shot of Ohltbuerg'Madaa, Saltrisi and Po City making for an automatic promotion spot and it's very likely that the Series B Champion's Cup entrants will be four of these five name. Teams likely to be fighting for the last few play-off slots are Lord's Dwellings, Pohl Sportingk and quite possibly Winngrove Wongk. With the formation of the Division 3, there's also going to be action at the other end of the table to avoid the drop. There's also the arrival of two new squads from the Mousebane Islet which many of the lower ranked Division 2 sides will welcome as, if the reports are anything to go by, Scratchpost HIllock will be fortunate to remain in Division 2 for longer than a season. Dozebay should be able to avoid a drop, but it will be no easy task for them. KFZ and Edwadhu Rangers will face a difficult season if they wish not to fall. The Royal Kinshishish Wanderers and Po Pteronurians hardly safe either. Needless to say, it's going to be a very interesting season in Division 2 this year.

Division 3

Featuring 18 teams selected from various regional leagues, this season see the first official third division of Paradystopi Commonwealth football. The teams to watch out for are Tiknonsens Tempest, a newly formed rival team to Palace; St. Dhad's & Susuville United, linked to the Rugby Union heavyweights from the same suburb of the Capital and FC Dogerel, also from the Lymryks. The promotion and relegation system will work in the same way as the second division with two automatic promotion spots and the subsequent four teams fighting it out in a playoff for the final spot.
