Azuran Oil Amalgamate Tryon Class Land-Based Oil Derrick
The Tryon Class Land-Based Oil Derrick is the standard large-scale oil production tower used by the Azuran Oil Amalgamate in 2011, and is the most technologically advanced land-based oil derrick in the world. Using state-of-the-art solar panels to minimize energy consumption, the derrick is capable of boring over two miles of bedrock in less than sixty minutes, and has a volume capacity/overflow of more than fifty thousand barrels of petroleum daily. The solid steel-reinforced derrick has four cobalt anchors which allow the structure to survive in Category Four Hurricane-force winds. The Integrated AOA Dynamix v.2 Computer System allows for comprehensive mechanical monitoring, and also provides automatic fail-safes in the event of an accident.

Azuran Oil Amalgamate Tyvola Class Sea-Based Oil Derrick
The Tyvola Class Sea-Based Oil Derrick is the current production model offered internationally to the international market, and is a H.B. Morrison Incorporated "Platinum Design" award winner for 2010. The derrick has an output capacity of nearly 65,000 barrels per day, and uses a combination of solar panel technology along with hydroelectric turbines to provide an inexhaustible source of power for the derrick. Along with conference rooms, recreational facilities, and lodging for over 3,500 employees, the Tyvola Class Oil Derrick comes complete with an on-site medical facility, telecommunications relay, and helicopter pad for immediate air access. The computer systems on the derrick are integrated with the AOA Vigilance SeaNamix v.5 Computer System, allowing real-time monitoring and automatic emergency fail-safes in the event of an accident.

The Xarana Class Oil Tanker is the current supertanker variant offered to our international clientele, and is the most frequently used sea-faring vessel in the Holy Cailene Empire of New Azura's Merchant Marine fleet. Our History...+

The Azuran Oil Amalgamate traces its roots through both Cosmopolite and Métropolitain Azura, with our oldest ventures dating back to 1885. In that glorious year, Sir Edmund Hillary-Scott, O.A.E. of the Royal Azuran Expeditionary Company (RAEC) founded Athena Oil, Inc., New Azura's first domestically licensed petroleum company in the Métropolitain. Just five years later, his brother-in-law, Sir Winfield James Anesthall, O.A.E., I.K.E. of the First Azuran Mercantile Exchange created a sister organization in the colonial dependency of Xosen, the Anesthall Oil Corporation. Within five years of opening, both entities had gained control of nearly 70% of the Azuran Empire's petroleum market.

Things would remain the same for fifty years, as the two companies continued to remain with the Hillary-Scott and Anesthall Families. Then, in 1935, railroad baron James Patrick McClure attempted to use his dividends from the successful Artica & Pisgah Transnational Railroad to enter the lucrative petroleum market. His creation, Azuran Energies, Ltd. became the most successful competitor to Athena Oil, gobbling up an estimated 35% of the total market in just six years thanks to superb leadership and competitive pricing, making a dent in Athena's overall market performance.

Anesthall Oil wouldn't face its most direct challenge until 1971, when newspaper baron Sir Richard Ellison Fitzpatrick, O.A.E. purchased the fledgling Damara Oil Company. Using his private funds to purchase untapped oil fields in six of the northernmost oil producing colonies, Fitzpatrick's newly-christened North Point Oil Corporation became the largest producer of refined petroleum products in Cosmopolite Azura, and threatened the solvency of Anesthall Oil. In 1977, with its private coffers tapped, Anesthall Oil merged with Athena Oil to preserve the family legacy and better compete with the rapidly expanding North Point Oil.

With Anesthall Oil now operating as a subsidiary of Athena Oil, Inc., the Hillary-Scott and Anesthall Families became the dominant petroleum exporters in the Azuran Empire once more. With oil production reaching it's highest levels in company history, the new Athena Oil began expanding further into the colonial territories, gobbling up almost 25% of the private sector oil fields available. Not to be outdone, North Point Oil expanded its own refineries, doubling its capacity from 1981 through 1986. Even the smaller Azuran Energies company got in on the expansion wave, buying up several smaller oil production companies to increase its own output.

By the year 2000, all three entities were accounting for 85% of the total petroleum market in the Azuran Empire, maintaining enough power to virtually control the market price of petroleum exports in New Azura. With their corporate value at an all-time high, the three groups began discussing a possible merger. Initially, the last remaining descendant of the Hillary-Scott Family involved in Athena Oil, John Davis Hillary-Scott was uninterested in merging with his family's longtime competitors. With his untimely passing due to pancreatic cancer in 2005, however, Athena Oil transferred to his deceased son's beloved widow, Rexella Harrison and her two brothers, Kyle and Marcus Harte. The Harte Brothers quickly began to negotiate with North Point Oil and Azuran Energies about a merger.

On April 21st, 2007, Athena Oil (and its subsidiary Anesthall Oil) completed its merger with North Point Oil. Seven days later, the Board of Trustees at Azuran Energies agreed to sell their own company to the new amalgamation, known as Azuran Oil. With the finalization of the sale on May 1st, 2007, the formal inception of the Azuran Oil Amalgamate was completed. The Saeculum (or National Parliament) of Métropolitain Azura attempted to bring up the new mega-corporation on monopolization charges. However, all formal complaints were soon dismissed when acting CEO Thomas Parker Lovell agreed to an exclusive thirty-year contract with the Imperial Armed Services of the Holy Cailene Empire of New Azura. The deal created the largest petroleum corporation in the Azuran Empire.

The Amalgamate Companion Towers, located in Port Charlotte, Estica Prefecture are the most expensive skyscrapers ever built in the Azuran Empire. The two towers, housing the corporate headquarters for the Azuran Oil Amalgamate, represent the domain the corporation has over both Cosmopolite and Métropolitain Azura.

Today, the Azuran Oil Amalgamate is the most productive and wealthy of the Azuran Empire's vast petroleum corporations. Owning an estimated 55% of the total private sector oil wells throughout Cosmopolite and Métropolitain Azura, Azuran Oil has the ability to provide large quantities of both refined and unrefined petroleum products and service equipment at competitive prices. Gaining the protection of the Azuran Empire through the usage of its Imperial Navy, Azuran Oil also manages to decrease overhead on export prices to foreign nations, thus eliminating the shipping costs that buyers would frequently incur through other petroleum suppliers.
