About Sequoia Dynamics

Sequoia Dynamics Corp. (“SD”), formerly Sequoia Defence Systems Inc., is a leading prime contractor and complex systems integrator offering a full range of technology demonstration, world-class design, ISO 9001 certified production services and innovative life cycle support. The company has three main business segments providing a full spectrum of land and amphibious combat systems, subsystems, and components worldwide. SD is headquartered in New Harrisberg, Etoile Arcture, and employs approximately 48 million people. Corporate history

Sequoia Dynamics was created by a series of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures within the Etoile Arcture arms manufacturing industry. In April 2008 the company divested its tactical military aircraft, missile systems and space launch systems businesses to Aerodyne Corporation, a leading aerospace manufacturer, with whom Sequoia Dynamics also has a strategic partnership. In June 2009 the company changed its name from Sequoia Defence Systems to Sequoia Dynamics as part of a overhaul of its operations. the company is currently organised as six business operating units, each being a wholly-owned subsidiary:

Sequoia Dynamics owns equity stakes in a number of other companies including Emerson Optronics, Ithaca Intersystems, Genista Electrosystems, and Hybalt Defence Industries of the Commonwealth of Granzi. In December 2007 the Allis-Chalmers Corporation of the Republic of Coorsota agreed to form a joint venture with Sequoia Automotive Works, called Sequoia-Allis Defence Services, to develop and market the M8 Lariat family of main battle tanks to foreign governments.



Company Policies

Sequoia Dynamics markets its products and services through company-to-company Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) transactions, as well as taking part in government-to-government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Foreign Military Financing (FMF) programs. All sales by Sequoia Dynamics are subject to export restrictions and weapons proliferation controls to prevent military aid and arms transfers to nations with poor human rights records and who support or assist domestic or international terrorism.

Contracts and Services

Sequoia Dynamics and its subsidiaries will bid on fixed-price sole-source contracts as a prime contractor and system integrator, and may enter into non-exclusive licensed manufacturing agreements with other arms contractors and nation states, and will grant non-transferable rights on a cash and royalty basis. At present export restrictions limit the sale and transfer of sensitive technologies except to alligned nations, and at present the company will not award unlimited licenses to foreign manufacturers or agree to sublicensing of its products.

How to order

Alligned nations may procure military products through Limited Domestic Production Rights (LDPR), granting non-transferable rights on a cash and royalty basis.

Alligned and non-alligned nations may procure our products by a Fixed Cost Procurement Contract (FCPC) or Cost Plus Contract (CPC) as conducted via Direct Commercial Sales or the government-supported Foreign Military Sales program.

Payment

Sequoia Dynamics will only accept bank-to-bank wire transfer of funds in Universal Standard Cash Dollars (US$) for contractual compensation and payment for production articles/services rendered. No contract will come into effect until after receipt of payment.

Once again our nation returns to Sequoia Dynamics to meet the defense needs of the Federal Republic. Your corporation having seen our nation through two wars and countless hardships overseas, we cannot help but extend our gratitude in the form of further contracts.

Firstly, we would like to replenish the M35A2 Cataphracts lost in combat with Waldenburg (and we assure you, they preformed quite aptly nonetheless), bringing our total number of tanks up to 13,000. This should equate to roughly 4,000 M35A2 Cataphract tanks to be procured. Secondly, as the Cataphract has proven too expensive to maintain for the conscripted defense forces in Leistung proper, we would like to gain the production rights to the M22A2HA Jackal and M22A2E1 Leguan tanks.

The Ministry of Defense would also like to opt to purchase production rights for both the M65CA7 Talon+ and the M344 Wolverine (and its variants), as replacing the lost units and buying new ones would amount to more than simply purchasing the rights to produce them domestically. Furthermore, we would like to inquire as to the purchase of production rights to the M345 Excalibur and SPH-158/L65A1.

Your up-and-coming air defense vehicles have certainly piqued our interest, and we would like to inquire as to the possibility of receiving a handful of units for advance testing -- your corporation will of course be paid generously for the opportunity.

Our company as always expresses our heartfelt thanks to the Leistungi government. We of course will begin immediately fabrication of a lot of 4,000 M35A2 Cataphract main battle tanks to replace your recent combat losses. Our company would also make a small request (or large perhaps) concerning any information the Leistungi government may be willing to share with us regarding the combat performance and experience of the Cataphract during recent campaigns. We would fully understand if such information is classified, but we feel we must ask as the information would be valuable on continued improvement of the Cataphract weapon system and evolution of tactics and doctrines.

We would advise that the Cataphract is a very ‘high tech’ tank - among the most sophisticated in the NS world, and would concur with any conclusion that it is unsuitable for fielding by conscripted forces. We are therefore more than willing to grant the production rights for both the M22A2HA Jackal and M22A2E1 Leguan heavy assault bridge tanks. The production rights to the M65CA7 Talon+ and SPH-158/L65A1, and the M344 Wolverine and M345 Excalibur armoured mortar carrier are likewise willingly and happily granted.

We would also humbly advise the Chancellor, though of course we are clearly biased in this matter, to also acquire production rights for the M23 Hyena. This, we feel, would provide both your Jackal and Cataphract tanks with a manouevre enhancement capability and with engineering support based on a common chassis and drive train as shared by the Jackal, Leguan HAB and Hyena vehicles, which will offer cost savings in common manufacture and logistics.

On the final matter of advance testing of our latest designs, Sequoia Dynamics would be honoured for the Lestungi armed forces to take part in any of our advanced testing programs. In fact, we already posses nearly a hundred pre-production M84 Argus and the M349 Predatorhas been in low rate production since 2004. We are therefore more than happy to supply 10 of the Argus and 20 of the Predator weapon systems for testing by your personnel. We might also add that the Predator has already seen combat as far back as 2005 during the Second Alfegan Civil War, where two examples shot down a large Alfegan airship by cannon fire alone!

I am pleased to again be writing to my esteemed colleagues in the Zinairian Military Authority and to be once again approving a substantial order issued by your nation. The purchase agreement is happily agreed in relation to the M96 LUMPS II and variants, and for transfer of M35A2 Cataphract tanks and SPH-158/L65A1 artillery systems to the ZMA.

We will also update Sir Henry and his department on future developments regarding the M96 LUMPS II and other weapon systems. Work is currently progressing quickly on development of a catadioptric sensor suite for the Command & Liason variant of the M96 LUMPS II that provides long range, passive, network-enabled (using the BIDS battle management suite), situational awareness and co-operative targeting. Low rate initial production models have already been deployed to Alestra with the Reconnaisiance, Surviellance and Target Acqusition Squadrons assigned to the brigades there.

In regards to our new artillery systems we are developing, with an eye to the long and trusting relationship between our company we would make a request of the Zinairian government to assist us in our testing by hosting a number of pre-production and low rate production vehicles for testing by the ZMA, the numbers respectively being 10 M84 Argus and 20 M349 Predator air defence vehicles. While Nova provides a number of environments and conditions for the testing of vehicles, we feel additional foreign testing will help refine the units and hopefully progress to final production earlier.

1) Regarding the M84 Argus Air Defence Vehicle.

We would like to request a rough estimation of the stage at which this project currently is; is this vehicle ready for export, should the State wait until it is, or has the project been cancelled? We have plans to purchase domestic AA vehicles, but some hardliners in the Holy Office of Foreign Affairs have attempted to prevent this until Sequoia is addressed, which we have done.

2) Regarding modifications to the M344 Wolverine family of vehicles.

A recent request by the Army Special Forces community has forced the Anemonian state to look for a lightweight armoured gun system, and although several candidates have been found, we would still like to take this opportunity to ask if any variants of the M344 can be modified to make an armoured gun system superior to the AMX 10RC.

In regards to the Holy Office of War’s proposal to develop an armoured gun system based off the chassis of the M344 Wolverine, I can report that quite serendipitously that such a program is already being undertaken by our business division Sequoia Automotive Works. In light of the success of integrating the AMOS dual gun-mortar system on to a M344 chassis we are confident of making fast progress on this program and will update the Holy Office of War as soon as more information is available.

Greetings once again to our corporate brothers. We wish to inform you that work is ongoing in relation to the next iteration of the M8 Lariat main battle tank, the Lariat 1A2. We look forward to ongoing cooperation with Sequoia Dynamics in regards to technology. As of currently, the Lariat 1A2 will be employing the following changes in comparison to the Lariat 1A1L:

• New 125mm Domestically-Designed Main Gun
• New Powertrain
• New Suspension
• Revised Hull
• New Armor

The assistance of Sequoia Dynamics is requested in relation to the planned suspension and armor upgrades. The Lariat 1A2 is planned to utilize a fully active suspension system, and due to Sequoia Dynamics expertise and familiarity with active suspension, we would appreciate your assistance or input. Additionally, the armor planned for the Lariat 1A2 is currently ambiguous at best and so any input or assistance in these terms would be greatly appreciated. Technical assistance can be provided by any medium desired whether it be private communication or alternate means.

I hope as I write to you I find you well. Our company is very pleased to learn of the continued work being done at Sequoia-Allis Defence in Coorsota building on the success of the M8 Lariat 1A1L Long Arm. It is also our company’s intention to continue offering the M8 Lariat (in the form of the M22 Jackal) to export customers and to continue developing the M22 Jackal into myriad engineering and support and special combat roles long after the Jackal main battle tank is phased out of the Etoile Arcture active inventory.

In view off this Sequoia Dynamics has also being eyeing possible upgrades to the M8 Lariat as retrofittable upgrades to existing vehicles. These include a new lightweight hybrid-electric power train with regenerative braking, electro-mechanical transmission and distributed power system; and active in-arm suspension to replace the current semi-active hydraulic torsion bar suspension. Our comnpany would also be more than happy to implement the heavy armour scheme developed for the M22A2HA Jackal on the M8 Lariat 1A2, though this will likely produce an increase in the curb weight to at least MLC 65.

Other improvements we would suggest for the M8 Lariat/M22 Jackal include a new hybrid-collective CBRN protection system inside the fighting compartment and CBRN warning system, new manprint digital crew stations, new integrated fire control system and a battlefield management system.

Our company is also working on other products that may interest Sequoia-Allis Defence that utilise technologies spun out from the M8 Lariat program. This include an air defence vehicle based on the Lariat hull, a version of the M344 Wolverine armed with the G25 Outlaw 25 mm autocannon, and a possible new counter-obstacle vehicle based on the M8x Burro/M23 Hyeana hull and incorporating a V-shaped dozer blade with magnetic mine neutralisation system and a CARPET-style fuel-air explosive mine clearing system.

Greetings from the Democratic States of Salcania! As you are undoubtedly aware, we have already completed a deal with your other subsidiary (Sequoia Weaponsworks), and we are very pleased about the performance of your weaponry (G500 testing is almost complete, and we will shortly place an order).

Now, to the subject at hand. Salcania is interested in updating it's land system technology and increasing the amount of vehicles in our inventory. Our primary task is to acquire a very capable, modern main battle tank. The M35A2 Cataphract presents it's self best, however we do require to know whether you can modify the belt feeding systems for the secondary gun, to accept KPVT ammunition (14.5x114mm Soviet), as we need too keep caliber uniformity. We are also interested in modernizing our TR-85M1 fleet. If you look at our history, you will see that Romania (along with Turkey) was our first provider of weaponry, as we fled from the conflict (we are a nation of Romanians and Tartars). They have donated us 100 TR-85 tanks that we updated to the M1 standard (that already existed in Romania at the time of the conflict). We also received a license to manufacture them, but we don't have the necessary material base. Back in it's home country, the TR-85 will only receive a minor update (the M2 version), as the Romanians are working on a new model of tank. Our problem is that the TR-85's main gun is 100mm, and we have a policy to keep our number of calibers as low as possible. So we need to modify them to 120mm. Most of the systems are up to date, so no major change is needed besides the gun upgrade. If you will accept the modernization request, we will deliver the production license to you, as we think that the tank can be sold in the $8.5-9 billion range, targeting less pretentious markets. (OOC: For stats and systems check the wiki article, minor difference, our secondary M1 armament is 7.1mm Salcanian and 14.5mm Soviet MGs instead of 7.62 and 12.7. Telegram me if you agree, and I'll translate whatever in on the MoD site for more detailed stats)

Our secondary issues are our light transport fleet, currently made up of 30 year old Aro vehicles and our nonexistent mobile-AA fleet. We will buy M96 LUMPS II Weapons Carriers. Half of them will have 40mm auto grenade launchers, the other half will be left blank (we will mount MK-09 machine guns in 7.1mm Salcanian). We are also interested in the M84 Argus AA system. I know it's not out on the market yet, but we would like to pre-order them, expecting delivery as soon as possible from the moment they are available, as our ground to air defense is practically „downed”.

So the order is as follows:

* M35A2 - 200 pieces - $3,000,000,000 (with adapted belt feed for local secondary weapon mount)
* M96 Weapons Carrier - 500 pieces (250 w/ 40mm, 250 w/o installed weapons) - $575,000,000
* M84 Argus - 100 pieces - $800,000,000 (pre-order)

It is my pleasure to write to Minister Tătărușanu to agree to a purchase agreement between Sequoia Dynamics Land Systems and the Salcanian Army Ministry to supply 200 M35A2 Cataphract main battle tanks and 500 M96 LUMPS II Weapon Carriers at a total contract value of US$3.575 billion. I am also pleased to recieve the advance order from the Army Ministry for 100 M84 Argus air defence vehicles with a provisional cost US$800 million. I cannot immediately confirm completion and delivery dates for the M84 Argus system but I am certain that the vehicles will be available within the next few weeks at which time our company will be fully willing to convert your pre-order into a firm order for the vehicles.

Sequoia Dynamics Land Systems has analysed the modifications requested to these vehicles, namely the deletion of the 50 cal Browning heavy machine gun from 250 of the M96 LUMPS II Weapon Carriers and all 500 M35A2 Cataphract main battle tanks, and the fitting of a KPVT heavy machine guns to the modular mount of the overhead remote weapon station (ORWS) on both vehicles. Regretfully I must report that the KPVT exceeds the maximum weight limit of the ORWS mount by nearly 10 kg. We would alternatively suggest fitting a 7.1x55 mm machine gun with linkless feed or acquiring NSVT or Kord machine gun. Either of these can be fitted to the ORWS with minimum modifications to the mount and the ammunition hopper bin in the M35A2s turret basket.

On the second matter of the request for proposal to develop an upgrade program for the TR-85M1 medium tank our company has begun analysing this requirement. But I must point out that the TR-85M1, being based on the T-55 automative platform, has limited growth potential for future upgrades, especially in the area of protection and mobility.

The option preferred by us would be to up-gun the TR-85M1 with a 120 mm L/55 Low Recoil Force smoothbore gun fed by an autoloader with 18 ready-to-use rounds with additional rounds stored in the hull.

The modifications to the existing turret would be similar to those made to Croatian M-84D tanks and while not an exact drop-in replacement, we are confident the Swiss Ruag 120 mm Compact Tank Gun and a 18 round autoloader can be fitted to the existing turret. We would also suggest that at the same time this work is conducted that all hulls are reset i.e. remanufactured to extend their operational lifespans.

Sequoia Dynamics Land Systems would be fully willing to purchase all the neccessary components on the international market and that final integration work can be performed in Salcania to save costs with an eye to creating a production line for the upgraded tanks in Salcania.

We propose for conducting this work that our company forms a joint venture with the Salcanian National Weapons Manufacturing Company in which we would invest in upgrades to manufacturing centres and contribute technical expertise. Such an arrangement could be mutually beneficial to us and would allow expansion of your manufacturing base. It is both mine and my company’s sincere hope that such an arrangement would be of interest to the Salcanian government and I keenly look forward to your response on this matter.
