History

Air -Bederich- Beginnings

Air -Bederich- was founded in 1943 by Argus Nathaniel, and resident of Libertie, a city in the Commonwealth of Bederich-, and grandfather of current chief executive officer of Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways, Christopher Nathaniel. The company was founded to be a low fair, decent, but good quality airline. Over the years, the fleet grew from its original, and very impressive size of three planes, to thirty by the 1970's. At this point the airline, still under direction of Argus Nathaniel, the company began reforms, such as buying new, more long range aircraft, advancing to an international airline, rather than a regional. Also, the airline changed from being just the decent, low price airline, to one that always gave a reasonable amount of amenities, such as food, pillows, drinks, not baggage charges, for both first and third class, and all for the same low price. By the 1990's management and ownership had switched to Henry Nathaniel after the death of his father. The company began to grow larger picking up more destinations at this time. The fleet had grown to thirty Boeing aircraft, and would continues growing, and the company success would continue. Although, one smaller airline, their main competitor was beginning to catch up with Air -Bederich-.

New Prague Airways Beginnings

New Prague Airways was founded in 1962 by Carla Smith, a resident of the city of New Prague. This was the city's first major airline. However New Prague Airways did not immediately takeoff so well. This airline started with a very small fleet of only three aircraft. By 1970 the fleet was now only five, and New Prague Airways was beginning to lose money. They had very few destinations at this point, and were not at all a competitor. At this time their famous slogan, "Third Class is Like First," was introduced. This caused the company not to collapse as the slogan was very informative. New Prague Airways began to grow in popularity, and ownership passed on to Rachel Smith. By the 1990's New Prague Airways was approximately half the size of Air -Bederich-. The two airlines were now major competitors.

Company Merger

By 2005 Air -Bederich- was controlled by Christopher Nathaniel. And New Prague Airways still by Rachel Smith. Competition continued going up. Then in 2006 an extremely unpredictable deal was achieved, Most unexpected. After what must have been many sub rosa negotiations, New Prague Airways merged with Air -Bederich-, and Chirstopher

Nathaniel was obtained enough stock to remain Chief Executive Officer of the newly formed airline. Nathaniel also had a new wife, now Rachel Nathaniel, also considered quite shocking. Nevertheless, the slogan "First Class is Like First," was now used by the massive airline. And prices, and flight quality got even better. Nevertheless, the merged airline, though one, still remained as two, in a way, as each original airline still flew with the same livery. Thus making Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways, fly both Air -Bederich- aircraft, and New Prague aircraft. Nonetheless, other than that, the airline was in essence now one.

Redesigning the Airline

This stage of Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways began in early 2011. Perhaps the airline old livery no longer represented what Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways was about. Maybe the old outdated classes, and class names were not adequate for the airline. And maybe in general the airline was outdated. These were issues that needed to be decided on, and the decision was to in essence, redo the airline. The first thing decided, was that one, great livery was needed, The airline had this designed, and would soon have all aircraft painted like it. After this, it was decided that classes needed renamed, especially that of "third class." It was renamed traveler class. After this, the airline began remodeling, the entire fleet or aircraft under the supervision of Rachel Nathaniel. The airline continued remodeling itself, and increasing its fleet numbers, and destinations as well. This was eventually completed by the end of 2011. Most likely marking the last major stage of Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways.

Policies

Ticket Purchase Policies
Prices listed for all tickets, are average prices worldwide for the flight ticket. Upon request of purchase exact price can, and will be given to the customer, along with the expected length of the flight. Once tickets have been purchased, they can either be mailed to the purchaser, for a price of two NationStates Dollars, picked up at the departure airport, or printed directly here from our website. Tickets are completely refundable for one-hundred percent of the original price. Although, a five NationStates Dollar closure fee will be charged per ticket being returned. Also, no ticket returns will be accepted after thirty days of purchase, or ten days before the flight is to depart. Whichever comes first will be applied.

Baggage Policies

Baggage always has flown free on Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways and also will. All travelers regardless of class are allowed to carry on articles of luggage, and one stow away. Each of appropriate size, appropriate weight, and that is legal in the Commonwealth of -Bederich-. For the convenience of our customers, for an extra fifty NationStates Dollars, an additional article of luggage can be allowed as stowaway. Although space is limited, so customers are not guaranteed an extra stow away spot. The price for an extra stow away article of luggage is none refundable.

Onboard Service Purchase Policies

Onboard services and goods are available for purchase for all customers, along with the guaranteed, or free class standard amenities. Onboard service or good purchase or rental are none refundable. These none refundable services for purchase include extra pillow rental, pillows are free, but extras cost money, extra drinks, snacks, meals, and mostly all amenities available; just plus more, if you want to purchase more than the reasonable amount offered free.

Departure & Arrival Policies

Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways is somewhat loose on arrival times to the airport for customers. Although, many customers have tight schedules and book flights at certain times to get to a place on time, so flights will always leave at exactly the departure time, or one or two minutes after, and arrive at the destination airport at as close to the arrival time as possible. This may be impossible due to weather conditions, national safety problems, regional safety threats, international safety threats, et cetera. In that case we will do our best to stay on schedule, and any customers whose flights are cancelled will be one-hundred percent refunded, and will have no closure charges. Those whose flights are seriously delayed will be partially refunded.

Personal Policies

To ensure safety on our aircraft, customers are expected to abide by the following. All travelled must listen to all and any orders given by a crew member that are reasonable, and are being given to ensure the passenger's safety, and all passengers' safety. Also, no weapons are dangerous items of any type are allowed as carry ones, and some are even excluded as stow away. This includes for carry-on, knifes, lighters, guns, explosives, pyrotechnics, and other obvious dangerous items. Also, anything that is not legal to own in the Commonwealth of -Bederich- is prohibited as carry on, and/or as stow away. Also, please watch the traveler safest video on the first page.

Safety Policies

Air -Bederich- / New Prague Airways considers safety extremely important. This why flights can be delayed, dangerous objects are not allowed, and much else stated in sections above. Also, our planes will never fly to any unsafe airport. Airports are required to have metal detectors and thorough safety precautions taken. While we are in the air, to keep the planes safe, all countries we fly to must either have a government run air traffic control group, or a private sector one open to us. This ensures the same amount of safety as that while flying in the Commonwealth of -Bederich-. Also, to stay safe in the air, our superior pilots will always keep you safe, and make what they believe as the right decision in a dangerous situation. The land area of the airport is 18 km². It has two independent parallel runways separated 2,400 m connected by two cross taxiways. There are three main terminal buildings: Terminal 1 (domestic flights only). Terminal 2 (international flights). Terminal 3, Pier 1 (freight, mail and military services only).
Fineberg International Airport has 70 check-in counters, 15 baggage carousels and 21 gates. Each sub-terminal has 25 check-in counters, 5 baggage carousels and 7 gates.

Security

A branch of the Royal Air Force called New Edomite Airline Security Authority does most of the uniformed, plainclothes, investigative and administrative work of security at the moment. However the Council Police are also entitled to become involved in investigations that involve terrorism, insurgency or other acts against the state directly. New Edomite security is generally fairly normal but some foreign nationals have referred to it as ‘invasive’ when suspected drug or weapons smuggling is involved.

Cargo Services

A terminal solely for large cargo services is on site along with services for National Mail and other courier services. It is divided into Import, Export and Domestic main areas.

Personal Services

Fineberg International has the following services: a small shopping area (with plans to lease shopping to foreign stores), food court, a lounge and bar, washrooms, and a small medical clinic. In addition the Tradewinds Hotel with adjacent golf course is nearby.

Military Services/Paramilitary Services

A small military terminal is used for assistance of search and rescue services. An arresting hook is on sight for emergency landings; the strip is long enough for large cargo planes or passenger planes to have assisted landings and an emergency medical and fire unit is on site at all times.
