FYi, the official name of the country is "Minoa" with Charlotte Ryberg in brackets.
Yohannes wrote:Ooc : Okay, so Charlotte Ryberg is now in. We need to nominate at least one person to be one of the internal council, any of you guys that feels like more than qualified to be a part of the internal council please post your nomination.

Cheers

The Minoan Monetary Authority will announce the candidate for the Internal council at (RP) noon today along with the interest rate decisions. In addition the new ambassador will be responsible for the promotion of the Ryberg currency project. All of this depending on the weather situation, as snow has effectively brought the capital to a crawl.

UPDATE: The interest rates are left unchanged and Traudl Humps-Medea is nominated to represent the delegation. On acceptance, she has emphasized the importance of simultaneous government and private investment and participation in the businesses and the economy to increase the level of choice and service for the client. She pointed towards an example of Minoa's railway network, which have both private and state owned operators, and open access regulations which allow the community and public transport executives to have more say in their branch lines and urban networks respectively.

Due to recent events in Anagonia the Confederate States will make a notation that it will be dormant for a time until it can solve its own internal issues. We wish to remain a member of the G-20 and will continue to contribute as we have time. Thanks for your understanding.

Now I don't mean to sound impatient but it has been a long time since San Pellegrino Romano has been active. I once again suggest we procede with the summit with a new host. I will gladly host the summit now that peace has been restored to my nation.

Humps has observed the current workload of the G20 and it appears that since it is nearly Christmas it is probably time to take a little break to allow the G20 delegations to celebrate. Should we meet again in January?

I concur with my respective colleague from Charlotte Ryberg on the matter of the holidays and perhaps a meeting again in the month following.

Mason blinks a few times and then studies his pocket calender, "It's nearly Christmas already? It's extraordinary how time flies when your conducting international economic talks. Or maybe not. Nevertheless, I also concur with my fellow delegates for a recess."

OOC: I'm in also.

I am hereby reconvening this meeting. Does anyone have anything they wish to bring to the attention of the members of this organization?

As a small, open economy it will be the goal of La Imperium Populi Quendorum to advocate free trade both within the G-20 and as an official external policy if at all possible.

In addition to that the Quendi agenda includes the expulsion of the non active members (San Pellegrino Romano) and the establishment of the four nations that, together with Grays Harbor shall occupy a position in the internal council (it is also the goal of La Imperium Populi to secure that at least one and possibly two of those five positions are made rotary to ensure that the internal council is renewed often)

Her Imperial Highness and Grace, Princess Aleera Alcedina-Aquilaine, High Representative of the Provisional Government of La Imperium Populi Quendorum is additionally working on other issues to be put on the agenda.

I think I have an idea we could discuss. We should seriously consider a framework for the protection of fair use and responsible copyright enforcement: while we recognise intellectual property, we cannot let copyright trolls and frivolous lawsuits to ruin creativity. But also we need to stop the flow of bootleg DVDs without censoring the internet.

Interesting idea. My nation will probarbly oppose intellectual property rights but it would be an interesting topic of discussion.

Which is why fair use will be important as well as the end to copyright trolls. Firstly, IP addresses of the internet cannot be means of tracing pirates as ISPs often lease them temporarily, rather than sell them. Secondly, we got to make it easier for people to report sales of pirated media from anywhere. Basically we should pool some ideas here, so we could create "what the ACTA should have been".

We agree that common sense IP laws are needed. For instance, we propose a ban on media organizations intentionally introducing malicious code to peer to peer data/information in order to cause damage to the machines downloading copyrighted material. This tactic serves no purpose but to cause harm.

We here in Orlkjestad request that any summit be held off for a week or so. We have to attend the e20 Summit, as we are part of their Governing Council.

Em.. I have posted on e20 thread.

For the betterment of this organisation, and that organisation, and finally all its members in the process, e20 will be the successor of the G20.

No Orlk. You are completely wrong. In fact, it has just begun. By forming together with the e20, we has erased our legacy of exclusiveness, and has participates in an organisation that practically includes everyone in NS.

This is surely a more applicable way of organising an economic forum in NS. NS is a multiverse with multiple of economically large nations, that an exclusive organisation as the G20 will surely not suceed in the long run.

I, in fact, has decided to do so, due to the fact that i want all of us to have a better place in an economic forum, peacefully. I hope that you will understand that this i did, with the utmost care towards all of us, for all of us, and for our future in NS roleplaying as a nation.

Good. Well, good for me, at least. Now I just got more power, being part of the Governing Council.
