Founded under the virtue of bringing Sensal's most talented into the public and providing entertainment for the masses, SMC can now proudly state that we are a step closer to achieving our goal. CEO and Executive Chairman Syngam Kim founded the company in 1994 after ending his own successful career as a singer and actor for the reason of using his experience to bring up hidden talents. Holding its first auditions in 1996 after setting the foundations for the company, the first music group brought into the company was COLD. An instant success in Sensal after their debut in 2000 and well known even in some neighboring countries. COLD was just the first of many talented Sensalians that had made the cut and the years later, a total of five groups or soloists debuted each an instant success.

Strengthened with the great success of the past, SMC held auditions once again in 2001, unveiling a great number of music groups or soloists once again. Each was met with massive approval and profits continued to come in the company through album sales, concerts, and royalties using the image of the entertainers. But in 2007, six years after SMC held auditions in Sensal, a group arose that stole the heart of every person in the nation. In 2007 Girls' Century first debuted in Sensal

Our Drama Series (From most popular to least)

Bloody Flowers(Series is Finished)

Plot

Taking place in the 16th century Sensalian Revolution where the oppressed poor had had enough of the oppression of the nobility. "Bloody Flowers" starts off with the childhood of Daegeum Yi(Gan Park) who is like every other poor peasant of Sensal. Working his master's field, paying outrageous taxes to his master, and receiving constant abuse by his master. Daegeum eventually kills his master and several other members of the upper nobility when his drunk overlord beats his entire family to death with some of his drunken friends.

Running away with government troops hot on his heels, Daegeum arrives at a temple where his sanctuary is ensured. The head temple monk(Han Kim), fully knowing what Daegeum had done, decides to take in Daegeum and protect him. Feeding, clothing, housing, and protecting Daegeum throught his childhood, the temple monk, who refuses to reveal his identity, acts as a sort of father figure to the parent-less Daegeum. Daeguem then grows up to become a powerful man with a powerful vision that included the death of the monarchy. With the head temple monk dying and the rest of the temple hostile toward the criminal, Daegeum leaves the temple now forced to fend for himself.

But Daegeum does not return to work for a master in the fields again. This time with the vision that he has, Daegeum decides to launch a crusade against the nobility and in extension the crown. Raiding the rich estates of the nobility and handing out the stolen wealth amongst the poor with the training received from the temple monk. Daegeum soon becomes an icon of justice to the poor and an icon of revolution to King Bradly(Wang Sho) and the nobility.

With Daegeum rousing up the poor and King Bradly's political base beginning to lose footing, Bradly decides it necessary to take the entire project himself and pour whatever resources into Daegeum's capture. With the Bradly's decision greatly increasing the danger of continuing the raid against the rich, Daegeum instead of turning back and slowing himself down, decides to raid Bradly's Castle Fortress.

When it comes down to the actual raid, Daegeum finds himself unprepared for the full brunt of Bradly's forces. King Bradly though somehow gets wind of the raid and is able to prepare for Daegeum's capture or death. An entire army group is stationed outside the castle ready to rush in and guards units stationed at critical entry ways. It is made sure that Daegeum would make it into the fortress and deep inside toward the treasury, only then to be ambushed and killed.

And when it comes time for the plan to be executed, it works nearly perfectly. Daegeum enters the fortress with relative ease and quickly makes way toward the treasury located at the center of the fortress. But at that point, Bradly's forces rush the castle and the raid becomes a battle with Bradly's forces against Daegeum. Attempting to make his way out of the castle, Daegeum is met by a guard unit at the Royal Family's quarters and the ensuing fight results in all the guards dead, but Daegeum greatly injured. Not even being able to walk correctly, Daegeum receives help from an unlikely person. That person is princess of the Bradly Dynasty, Sarang Bradly(Young Park), who saves Daegeum by bringing him into her own quarters and hiding him as her father's troops search the castle.

Nursing Daegeum back to health in secret,Sarang begins to develop feelings for Daegeum that are beyond regular feelings of affection. And when Daegeum gives Sarang a mehwa(flower), Sarang is absolutely ecstatic and cherishes it as if it were gold. Perhaps it was because of her more liberal learning, perhaps Sarang saw Daegeum as a heroic crusader fighting for the underpowered. But for whatever reason, the choice that she makes is something that changes the very world she knows. Asked to kill her own father just before Daegeum leaves, Sarang finds herself more in love with Daegeum then her father and kills Bradly in his sleep. Running from government troops as they attempt to escape, Sarang and Daegeum are caught nonetheless.

Tortured for their crimes and put through terrible pains, the series ends with the Daegeum admitting that he never truly loved Sarang and simply used her for his own goals. Heartbroken and near dead, Sarang, who held the flower given to her by Daegeum loyally thought the entire ordeal, dies and a blood covered flower drops thus ending the series.

Reception

"Bloody Flowers" was very well received in Sensal with all major film critics labeling the drama series as either an 'A' or 'A+' which are the highest and second highest possible rating. Many critics applauded the use of history and for not flinching with the use of gory scenes which many producers tend to steer away from to appease the audience. They also were greatly happy about the different from conventional plot and praised the script writers from not shying away from a tragic ending.

'Bloody Flowers' most definitely isn't that happy fairytale that we like to see and shows us the harsh reality that many Sensalians faced during the Revolution"

A Fool's Life(About to Finish)

Plot

The life of a celebrity can be a rollercoaster full of ups and downs. Jungsoo Kim(Jungsoo Kim) is an international popstar that is currently at the bottom of her romantic life. Her boyfriend, world renowned actor Jowha Shin(Gan Park) has just recently broken up with Jongsoo for rising popstar Yura Yi(Yunhyun Baek) who had been for sometime Jungsoo's rival. Yura who "stole" Jowha from Jungsoo has recently jumped to the international stage as possibly the most popular star in the world.

But the life of Gang Tak(Himnae Park) who is a simple mailman is about to get completely turned around. Jungsoo's manager, Napun Ga(Yuna Park), who is looking at possible ways to increase Jungsoo's popularity finds a method which includes the use of a regular yet interesting man. Having met Gang when he delivered their mail daily, Napun decides to have a paper marriage between Gang and Jungsoo. This scheme would have the popularity of Jungsoo skyrocket and ensure her place as continuing as Sensal's most popular popstar.

The plan is met with hostility at first by both parties as they barely know each other at the time. The "marriage" is filled with speculation from the ever present paparazzi Jipsam Gan(Wang Sho) who constantly follows the couple. Jipsam lurks around the corners, camps ourside Jungsoo's house, and in essence stalks the couple covering all their movements. And he sees the awkwardness between the couple reporting it and fueling the speculation that the marriage is completely fake.

But the couple end up having feelings for each other they had never known before. Perhaps it was because they were forced to look as if they were in love with each other or perhaps it was because of some other reason. But whatever the reason, they face numerous challenges including Johwa wanting to get back together with Jungsoo, Yura furious at Jungsoo for "stealing" her boyfriend, and the ever present Jipsam who constantly seeks to destroy Jungsoo's life.

Many in Sensal applaud the series on its strange yet inciting plot line and the way the series makes a hero out of an ordinary man. It has received many compliments on the lifelike settings and the amazing performance of the actors. It has been rated by the major movie critics in Sensal as a grade "A" series. It has also received applause for the hooking story line that it carries and the balance between intense serious moments and the more fun areas that make up the majority of the drama.

Chef's Paradise(About to Finish)

Plot

Everyone cannot be a superhero with amazing powers that can vanquish thousands of enemies at once. But if given a talent, a person should utilize it at the fullest to help the people. Kimchi Gash(Buse Nam) has a talent that is neither unusual nor specifically powerful. Kimchi has the talent of cooking rather marvelous dishes. In his small town that he lives in, Kimchi is known as the town's best chef and several times had been asked by several residents why he didn't move somewhere larger.

Many of them didn't know though, that Kimchi wasn't the carefree chef that many saw him as at his restaurant. Kimchi rather has a mother that is dying of gastric cancer and requires expensive medication to survive. And so Kimchi as her only remaining family member attempts to take care of her as best as possible. Most of the money he makes as a consequence goes to his mother's care and Kimchi himself lives in the most humblest of living conditions. When asked why he doesn't go on to the big city, Kimchi says he's perfectly fine in the small village but in reality knows he can't go without income for more then a week if he wants his mother to live.

But one day Kimchi's mother dies even after having treatment, medication, and everything done possible to help her. And at her deathbed, Kimchi's mother simply says that he was to go to the city to make a name for himself. He was to become the greatest chef in all of Sensal and show all the world who's the greatest chef in the world. With that her dying wish, Kimchi's mother dies and Kimchi is completely heartbroken.

Coming out of heartbreak a week or so later, Kimchi finds himself with the entire town knowing of what had happened. Touched by Kimchi's kindness and his mother's dying wish, the town had prepared money enough for a trip to New Hanyang and to apply for a nation wide cooking competition being held. Anyone was allowed to enter the competition, but in this competition the best chefs of the country would be competing for the tastes of the judges. Considered the most prestigious cooking competition in the country, the winner would be awarded 10 million dollars and apprenticeship to Sensal's best chef and owner of Sensal's best restaurant Jigae Sam(Shigae Ghan) who is also the judge of the competition.

Entering the competition with low hopes of making even the first round, where 95% of the competition is cut off, Kimchi nonetheless tries his hardest knowing the town has high hopes. Through the competition though someone notices that Kimchi seems a completely new face around the culinary circle. Yuja Haw(Yuir Hau), an ambitious new chef who plans to start a new restaurant, is intrigued by this new face and wonders who he is. Befriending Kimchi and acting as a sort of friend, the two begin a friendship that begins to blossom into something else.

But as the competition goes on, Kimchi who had no formal training whatsoever, begins to notice that his raw talent won't get him much further in the competition as the bar is constantly raised. And Yuja beginning to run out of new dish ideas begins to become desperate for new ideas. Thus, the two are able to help each other filling the others need and finding comfort among each other's company.

As the series is about to end and everything begins to wrap up. The questions here are who will win, what will happen, and will feelings that had been building up since Kimchi's and Yuja's first meeting evolve to something entirely different?

Reception

Many in Sensal have given this drama an "A" or "B+" rating for its heart wrenching storyline and acting. But critics of the series say that the plot line is unimaginative and lacks any sort of appeal. This sort of contradiction places the series somewhere in the middle of the two statements and one must watch the series to find the true truth. The acting and other production efforts are considered first class unanimously by critics though and many of the general populace find it a good drama that is most definitely worth watching.

"A truly heart wrenching story that people should be glad that they had never been in that kind of situation. This drama would make someone cry in a moment within the first few episodes due to the excellent acting and storyline. Those who claim that the storyline is old and unimaginative have never seen a good drama and can't see a good one when it's right in front of their eyes"

Room 6(New)

Plot

Created out of the necessity to fund underhand methods of the government but keep secret at the same time. Room 6 was made by the government 40 years ago when dealing with terrorist waves, political and social unrest, and growing corporate power. Funding and many times directing several underhand methods of the government, Room 6 never existed and any who was hired could never leave once accepted. Many of the members of Room 6 didn't even see eachother and only knew them by a number. Secrecy was considered the highest value and anyone who got wind of anything dealing with Room 6 was made sure they wouldn't compromise national security.

Secrecy is compromised one day when ambitious journalist Park-Sam-Shin(Shin-Han-Kim) unleashes a media firestorm after managing to uncover the secrets of Room 6 after posting a story of Room 6's dealings on the internet. With Room 6 and their operations no longer secret, the nation is thrown into chaos as the government attempts to censor the media and douse the fire. Riots take place in the largest cities, government offices are ransacked, and officials get beat up by mobs. The army is called in to pacify the situation by the government only to find that they themselves have mutinied against the government and arrives only to take over the government led by Janhun-Shin-Park(Hanshi-Kim-Nam).

With a harsh military government now in power, the situation has pacified but now the country is in a time of complete oppression. Political parties are abolished, protests forbidden, and a purge begins in the country stabilizing the new government's complete control. But unlikely heroes arise out of the ashes of the fallen government. The members of Room 6 remained largely unscathed after the scandal due to the great effort put in the security of their identities and manage to meet together after a member saves the majority of the organization's data. Room 6 suddenly becomes the nucleus and main force of the opposition though still held under extreme suspicion by the general public.

Covering the dealings of Room 6 under the government and the resistance against the Janhun Junta. The drama holds extreme suspense over the course of the series and holds much action compared to the almost non-existent romance that many of SMC's more conventional dramas have.

While many of the populace find the drama entertaining and full of suspense, others find that the drama is nothing but a series of action shots. Overview: "Found" during SMC auditions during their high school years, the current members of Girl's Century were chosen for their amazing singing abilities, dance abilities, among many other factors in the Sensalian youth. During the time between them being "found" and their debut in 2007 with their first full album "Goodness" was vigorous and intense training. But when the group first did debut, Girl's Century was found to be a major hit among many young Sensalians(ages 13-18) with their overall cute look and music.

Immediately beginning to work on a new full album after the amazing success of their debut, Girl's Century returned to work for their second full album and first mini album. During the space between the two, Girl's Century was found to be massively popular and increasingly were called to do advertisements and CF's. The release of their next full album "What a Life" in 2008 and their first mini album "Like?" was met with roaring approval from the general public with their audience range expanding greatly. With the two albums out and popularity of Girl's Century skyrocketing, Girl's Century began their first nation wide tour. Performing in all the major cities of Sensal and even in some of the smaller cities, Girl's Century proved themselves to be the most powerful performers in Sensal.

With the tour giving a significant boost to their popularity, Girl's Century returned next year with another full album and another mini album. Meeting instant success due to their massive popularity, a tour was decidedly not needed and the group has been given time off for a well due vacation.

Sensalian Nationwide Tour(June 1st, 2008 - September 1st, 2008)
Using the momentum from the success of the recent albums to even further Girl's Century skyrocketing popularity, the massive tour covered most all of Sensal's major cities and even arrived in some of the smaller cities as well. The Sensalian Nationwide Tour was Girl's Century first tour ever and considered a massive success in all forms. Drawing out +20,000 crowds at every concert, the total of 10 performances across all major Sensalian Cities boosted the image of Girl's Century as to make them the most popular group in Sensal.

After the tour, Girl's Century's popularity shot up massively once again and was one of the biggest reasons as to why Girl's Century is considered Sensal's most popular music group. The group's image also was established as powerful performers and Sensal's "cute face" among International fans. Afterwards, the group rose to their current level and at this point is poised to make international fame with their first out of country tour in Virtuous Greed.
