As His Majesty's and Intel Airport grew at startling rates, calls began to be heard for a third full-size international airport in Dungeyland. The problems at His Majesty's and Intel were eventually fixed, but people kept calling for another airport. In 2003, it was decided. There would be another international airport in Dungeyland. The trouble is the location. Every city in Dungeyland wanted to play host to the new airport, which would bring tourism, business and wealth.
The Commission for a Third Airport decided to hold a public referendum on where the airport should be hosted. Expecting everybody to vote for their own city, the commission set regulations - a large population, and a proper bid for the airport. Only three cities continued to bid for the airport. These cities were New Kettering, Priya and Clover. The vote was held, and New Kettering won. Building began in 2005, and completed just three months ago.
New Kettering International Airport has six terminals, one for domestic, one for regional, one for short-haul, one for long-haul, one for cargo and one specifically reserved for Dangish Airways. Each terminal is divided into 25 or more "Terminal Sections", which is the equivalent of 10 gates. New Kettering International Airport is operated by the Dangish Airport Authority.

Security:
All vehicles are X-Rayed when entering NKI. The right to UV Thermal Scanning and checking is reserved for suspicious items in the X-Ray.
At Check-In, bags will be X-Rayed and UV'd again, and checking them is reserved again for suspicious behavior. After Check-In, you go through the Security Royale, in which your hand luggage is checked and you yourself are checked.
Once again, it will happen at the gate before entering onto the flight.
When you arrive in NKI, you will go through strict customs, not allowing any food or beverages past that point. (Domestic flights go through a separate area.)
There are also two NKI police/security stations per Terminal.
Dangish Law says that NKI must check all airlines randomly for security at least once a month, and that the Dungeyland Intelligence Agency must check NKI once a year. We, and DIA have the power to remove any airlines which cannot comply with procedures. NKI is proud to announce that we received a 100% Secure report from DIA, and we would like that again next year.Those nations found to be intentionally allowing dangerous people on board will be dropped.
Transportation:
Transport is always easy to find in NKI. Direct high-speed rail links connect you with ease to the rest of Dungeyland, and the region, while you can easily rent a car, and use our Meet N' Greet Service. NKI is next to the Motorway, providing easy access to all of Dungeyland. The New Kettering Underground connects you with the beautiful and historic city, while the Silver Bullet Trains take you to directly at high speed to the other airports in Dungeyland.
