Farming has been such an important part in Urulandian history. It has been the backbone of the nation since it's inception and is still our largest export. Farming dates back 12,000 years in Urulandia and it's people have been master farmers since then. We pride ourselves on the quality of our farms and what they produce.

Urulandians are famous for their willingness to adopt new technologies to harvest crops and increase production. However, our crops are known for being "natural" and "ecologically friendly". The use of harsh chemicals or pesticides is banned in Urulandia as it does not conform with our sustainable farming policies. We believe that the crops should be grown as naturally as possible and that technology is only to be used for efficiency.

The Urulandian government invests heavily in its farms and uses the newest technology to increase quality and production. Drones, "smart" combines and other high-tech farming techniques are currently being used. Combines on auto pilot meticulously harvest every millimetre of field. Every animal is traced using an ear chip. With the use of science we plan to intensify production, increase quality, and reduce emissions.

By using drones on Urulandian farms we can get high-quality images of our farms from the sky, covering hundreds of acres with a single flight and we can do this without the cost or trouble of manual services. Drones provide a much better view than satellite imagery could ever provide, even on a cloudy day. By using image processing software we can then create one large 'orthomosaic' image of our farms. We then apply our algorithms to this image to create an informative map of our crops.

This map has been key to boosting our yields, reducing time and money spent on our farms, and has driven our farms forward into the future.

Fertile Connect™ is an advanced farm management application that allows our farmers to store and access data about their farms and equipment. It allows them to access and control their equipment in real-time. So they have instant access to location, diagnostics, and fuel and engine stats. It helps us save time and fuel, cut costs and improve overall efficiency. It also allows our farmers to know what is happening throughout their farms without physically travelling across them.

With FertileConnect our farmers can pull up on a map that shows where all your vehicles are operating and their fuel levels, how much product has been applied or how much crop harvested, and even if a piece of equipment is ready to break down. These systems help our farmers improve efficiencies on high-priced equipment.

Wheat is one the most important crops in the world. It has been grown in Urulandia for over 10,000 years. Our Wheat is grown without the use of any toxic or harsh chemicals, we do not believe in using anything other than ecologically friendly chemicals. Urulandian farmers have developed a system with the use of seed and crop production technology, which produces greater yields and productivity. Our Wheat has been bred to be drought and stress tolerant and so our harvests are rarely disturbed.

Urulandian Wheat is harvested using advanced equipment. Harvests in recent years have yielded massive surpluses and so we have many tonnes to sell of at a great price.

Our wheat can be used to create excellent flour and used for such foods as bread, porridge, crackers, biscuits, Muesli, pancakes, pies, pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, rolls, doughnuts, gravy, boza (a fermented beverage), and breakfast cereals.

Although wheat products reign supreme on the shelves of supermarkets across the world, foods made form rye are also worth looking for. Rye is known for it's great health effects and is a great source of fiber. Rye is filled with non-cellulose polysaccharides which give that full, satisfied feeling after a meal.

In Urulandia Rye is used in the national bread and in our favorite whiskey. It was one of the first crops cultivated by original settlers and has been used in Urulandian cuisine since ancient times. With millennia of experience our farmers know how to get the most out of a Rye harvest and ensure the best quality crop.

Corn was domesticated by the indigenous Uru in prehistoric times. Ancient Urulandians quickly learned that they could breed corn to increase desirable traits, this has led to Urulandian corn having large ears. Modern breeding has only perfected this process and now our Corn has been breed to be an increased size and to yield more upon harvest. However, no artificial modifications or chemicals are used.

Corn is one of the most useful crops in existence. Is a staple of Uru diet and has been grown for thousands of years. It is central to virtually every Urulandian dish. It's use as a food are nearly endless. Urulandian's use corn to make Uru tortillas.

The corn we produce can be used as a source of heat, specialized corn stoves are available and use our corn to generate heat. Our corn can also be used in the production of ethanol.

Our corn can also be made into plastics, fabrics, adhesives, and many other chemical products such a bio-fuel.

Barley $131 per tonne

Barley is known for its great versatility. It has a chewy, nut-like flavour that people love. When fermented barley can be used in the creation of alcohol. It can be great when added to soup in the winter months, and it's health benefits will keep you energised and filled with essential nutrients.

Evidense of barley cultivated goes back thousands of years in Urulandia. Ancient Urualandians praised the crop for it's ability to create alcoholic beverages. The first fermented drink of the Urulandians was made with barley and it is still the main crop used for alcohol. Stews and soups across the nation have barley in them, as well as certain baked goods.

In recent years it has also been used as fuel for heaters.

Potatoes are a super source of a whole lot of vitamins. They are a complex carbohydrate that contains almost 0% fat, and a friend to every cook. Because potatoes provide so much they are great for providing food and income for the people who need them most.

The potato was introduced to Urulandia by traders in the early 13th century. Since then it has become central to Urulandian cuisine and agriculture. Urulandia potatoes have been praised for their quality and with recent innovations in harvesting technology we have more to sell than ever.

Our Potatoes can be used to brew alcoholic beverages such as vodka, as food for domestic animals, as thickeners and binders for soups and sauces, in the textile industry, as adhesives, and for the manufacturing of papers and boards.

Like pototes, Rice is a complex carbohydrate with barely any fat. Rice plays an important part in our diets because it is great for staying fir, with very little cholesterol and lot's of amino acids.

Urulandia is well-suited to growing rice due to it's abundance of water. Rice is the most important grain with regard to nutrition and caloric intake in the country. Most countries that grow rice used a cheap labour force to do so, because rice is known to be labour intensive. However, in Urulania our farmers are paid a great wage and our machines do a lot of the work.

Our rice can be used to produce oil, may be ground into flour, can be used for rice milk and rice wine. Rice flour does not contain gluten, so is suitable for people on a gluten-free diet.

Soyabeans $389 per tonne

Soyabeans are well known for their high levels of protein. In Urulandia they are called "the steak without bones" for their ability to replace meat effectively. They are also a great source of folate, vitamin K, calcium, magnesium, iron and fiber .

Urulandian vegetarians use soya to replace meat, as tofu is can be used to create meat substitutes. According to an ancient myth, the legendary Urulandian Pilaoda grew to the size of a giant by eating a diet of only soyabeans. Soyabeans have been an important crop in the history of the island of Urulandia, and will continue to be.

Our Soyabeans can be used to make tofu, oil, flour, milk, infant formula, and meat and dairy substitutes.

Sugar is such an important crop today. As it is an ingredient is nearly food we enjoy.It is also great for the skin, because of its glycolic acid, and for ability to give to consumer quick bursts of energy.

Urulandian history has been shaped by sugarcane. It has been one of the main exports from the island since it was first grown. Sugarcane has funded the Urulandian governments for centuries. It is said that without the early sugarcane plantations of the 18th century Urulandia would of developed a lot slower than it did.

Our sugarcane can be used to create sugar, bio-fuel, and certain foodstuffs.

A crop that has been used throughout Urulandian histroy. Hemp has played an important part in industry and culture. Urulandian hemp farmers are known for their ability to get the most out of their harvest.

Coconut harvesting has been done by hand for thousands of year. Now Urulandian is leading the charge with drone technology. The traditional hand-picking method has been replaced with much more efficient drones. This increase yields but does not decrease our famous quality.
