Pluto Mineral, named after the ancient Roman deity for wealth and minerals, is an Avorezian company primarily focused on the extraction of mineral wealth from the ground. Founded in 1835 by Garrick Jongerius, Pluto Mineral is the premier corporation dedicated to the extraction and refining of mineral wealth.

Our History

Founded in 1835, the Pluto Mining Company was initially a small mining outfit based out of Aurora dedicated to the extraction of iron in western Avorez. Sir Garrick Jongerius (1805 – 1880) was born in the slums of pre-Industrial Aurora, his family being a large lower-class family in Imperial society. In his 30th year, he, along with the rest of his family, pooled their money together and began the Pluto Mining Company, hiring on their first crew in the spring of ’35. From there, the company began to expand and, by the time that mining had become fully industrialized, the Pluto Mining Company was the primary provider of Iron, Copper, Steel, and Silver in western Avorez.
Since those days, the Pluto Mining Company has gone Public, becoming the Pluto Mineral Corporation in 1885. The Pluto Mineral Corporation has expanded into the fields of gem mining, as well as extracting precious metals such as gold and platinum from the earth. In more recent years, the Corporation has seen the change of the government from one of Imperial society to a Republic, continuing on its tradition of surviving despite the changing times.

Copper is one of the primary industrial metals that we at the Pluto Mineral Corporation extract and refine as necessary. Palladium is primarily a metal that we have only had experience with in our Northern Avorezian mines, encountering it by pure chance during a geological survey of potential iron sites. Palladium is utilized in virtually every automobile known to man, being the metal that makes up catalytic converters on fossil fuel operated vehicles. As you will notice, palladium is sold by the ounce, not the tonne. This speaks not to the value of palladium, but the sheer rarity of the metal.
