About The Shcherbatykh International Airport

The Shcherbatykh International Airport is the largest airport in the Federal Republic of Retiva, as well as the busiest. Although not the only international airport within the federal republic, it is one of the most widely used; within the nation of over a billion, domestic and regional flights arrive and depart every passing second, as well as hundreds of international flights every minute. Located just over 2.5 kilometers away from Pogarnova, the capital of Retiva, the subway has been the quickest way to reach the airport from the city centre, however other widely used methods of transportation includes public buses and the taxi service, as well as personal transport. Since its construction in 2030, many new features have been added and developed on until today.

Terminals

The airport is composed of 4 terminals, with a varying number of gates each. The terminals are alphabetically designated A, B, C and D. Each are fitted with lounges, medical centers, smoking areas, as well as shopping and dining concourses. The SIC monorail system employs computerised pre-determined destinations and speed adjustments as it carries up to 50 passengers per trip from one terminal to the other. It is the most widely-used transportation in the airport, however the airport shuttle bus is also available for usage.

A cargo terminal is also featured for cargo arriving and departing cargo flights, accomodated by a number of storage units and the customs office.

Terminal A

Terminal A is reserved for Retivan Airways' domestic and international flights.

It is connected to other terminals via monorail services, as well as walkways and the shuttle bus.

There is a total of 30 gates in this terminal.

Gates A1-12 is for domestic flights, and gates A13-30 is for international flights.

Terminal B

Terminal B is for short-haul international flights.

It is connected to other terminals via monorail services, as well as walkways and the shuttle bus.

There is a total of 45 gates in this terminal.

Terminal C

Terminal C is for domestic flights not managed by Retivan Airways.

It is connected to other terminals via monorail services, as well as walkways and the shuttle bus.

There is a total of 37 gates in this terminal.

Terminal D

Terminal D is for mid-haul and long-haul international flights.

It is connected to other terminals via monorail services, as well as walkways and the shuttle bus.

There is a total of 215 gates in this terminal.
