About Us

Postby Empire of Symphonia » Mon Dec 30, 2013 12:12 pm

About Us

If the world is a huge stage, then Li Yuanhong is the spotlight for Symphonia and the region of Astyria. Situated nearly in the center of the region of Astyria, Li Yuanhong Int'l Airport at the crossroads of a East and West air transit. Through the airport, the nation's economic momentum moves with the global rhythm, and through the airport, the stunning images of Symphonia be declared to the world.

Li Yuanhong International Airport services the Metropolis of Symphony is under the jurisdiction of the City of Symphony Corporation. Due to its central location in the region of Astyria, passengers departing from or transferring at Li Yuanhong can quickly reach anywhere in the region of Astyria.

Short History

Li Yuanhong International Airport finished construction in 2010 as part of a larger effort by the City of Symphony Corporation to further open up the Metropolis of Symphony as a new international business hub. It replaced the smaller, older Kuneda Airport and was named after a former Chinese president, in honor of the Corporation's commitment to free and democratic lifestyle. Designed by renowned Symphonian architect Sawatari Haru, the airport was designed to bring comfort and a sense of soothing for all passengers.

Services

The terminals are built using the latest styles in modern architecture and a balance with nature, all with the comfort and safety of passengers in mind. Numerous lounges dot the airports five terminals, many of them free for public use. Duty free shopping areas are located in all terminals. For those travelers whose connecting flights were scheduled far apart had to stay overnight, the airport includes several upscale hotels and recreation areas. The entire airport is covered by its own separate internet network, to allow passengers ease of use and quick contact while on the move. In addition, the airport is serviced in all three main terminals with the MATs rapid transit system, leading directly into the Metropolis of Symphony. Taxis and buses regularly arrive at the airport at all times of the day.
See: Services

Social Responsibilities

Li Yuanhong also takes its environmental responsibilities seriously. As part of the national drive to reduce waste and improve recycling, the airport currently recycles about 42% of its waste, including paper, plastic, glass, among other items. The airport has finished several waterfront parks, to prevent erosion and reduce sound pollution. Following the renovation of the main terminal on 2013, the new glass exterior allows for more natural light and better heat retention. This has allowed the airport to reduce its power intake and thus its carbon footprint. Our other goals include:

- complete energy self-sufficiency through solar and wind power
- further renovation of all terminals to reduce footprint
- employ more enhanced waste systems to reduce the effects of accidental spillage, leaking, and etc
- prevent polluted runoff from entering local watersheds

Image

Arrivals

After landing and arriving at your gate, you will be presented with two different corridors with respective signs for "Arrivals" and "Transfer". Please follow each to the respective designated areas.

For Arrivals, passengers will be directed towards a downward escalator that will bring them to the underground baggage claim beneath each respective terminal. Each gate has its own baggage claim. After picking up your items, signs will direct you towards the nearest security checkpoint. For a detailed list of allowed and prohibited items, please refer to the United Kingdom Carry-on Luggage Security Flier on the right.

Image

Please note that alcoholic beverages purchased in the airport or via duty-free purchases are allowed through customs and security checkpoints provided they are declared and checked prior to entering the Empire of Symphonia or the Asian Federation of Nations. Symphonian and AFN law also prohibit the transport of the following:
  • feral animals
  • narcotic drugs
  • non-indigenous flora

After leaving Customs and Security, please proceed and wait for the nearest Airport Transit train connecting to Shengsong Main Terminal. Once arriving at the main terminal, passengers are free to utilize the MATs rapid transit system, the bus or taxi services, or wait in the Arrivals area for transportation.

Transfer

For transferring passengers, please follow the corridor marker "Transfer" to the nearest transfer desk in each respective terminal. Each gate will have its own desk. If you have already checked-in or do not need to check-in, please follow the corridor and wait for the Airport Transit train that will bring you to the respective terminal.

Check-in and Departure

Check-in of tickets and luggage is performed on the ground floor in the entrance hall of Shengsong Main Terminal. There are 60 check-in counters for each respective gate. There are also check-in counters for passengers with airline privileges and Government Officials. The check-in process can be done by either live representative work or by automated check-in within the ticketing hall or the Departure's Drop-off Zone. International departure check-ins begin 5 hours prior to the departure and ends 30 minutes prior to departure. Check-in for domestic flights begins 75 minutes prior to departure and ends 20 minutes prior to departure. After ticket issuance, all passengers should proceed to the nearest Security check point. After leaving security, please feel free to use all the facilities at your pleasure or wait for the Airport Transit train.

Hotel Check-in

Passengers needing overnight rooms or private rooms may check into the airport hotels located in all terminals. Passengers may reserve rooms prior to arrival at the airport via their airline. Passenger's must present their valid airline ticket or boarding pass to the service counters in the entrance of the hotels. These passes must indicate whether the passenger is staying overnight or any other time as to help facilitate ease of use. Hotel automative systems will inform passengers of impending flights or other appointments 30 minutes before set times.

Hotel usage and accessory services are free to all departing and transferring passengers. Arriving passengers may use hotel rooms and services for NSD50.00 per hour.

To whom it may concern,
Ceniana, as one of the worlds' largest airlines, is in a position to expand its services to Symphonia to positions throughout Astyria as well as points in the broader globe. We would like to apply for gates and rights to travel to your esteemed airport. We feel that this arrangement would be mutually beneficial, and that the economy of itself, and on a greater scale, the Empire of Symphonia, would benefit greatly from this arrangement.

Certainly, this arrangement will result in greater traffic at Li Yuanhong International Airport. We hope that you accept our application for greater services to Symphonia; indeed, this is demand that will certainly help the economy of your nation. We strongly believe that these routes will be a great success. Please find more detail in our application, enclosed below.

To whomever it may concern,

As you may know, the Imperial Realm of Romberg is another nation situated in the Northern part of Astyria. Yet despite this, our nation is much further away from the other nations of Astyria than others. This would hence stress the importance of trade and transport relations between Romberg and the rest of Astyria. As such, we would hope to pursue closer relations with your nation, starting with an establishment of an air route to your nation's main airport. The proposal is shown below:

Airline Name: Rombergia
Nation of Origin: The Imperial Realm of Romberg
Company CEO: Mr. Andrei Karlsson

Applied Gate (Please note that a ticketing/check-in desk will be automatically assigned to your gate): A11
Destination/Travel Route: Holmgard International Airport, Holmgard (HGC)
Frequency of Flights per day: 1 flight per day from Mon to Sat, 2 flights per day on Sundays
Estimated Number of Passengers (annual): 250 000

Applied Gate (Please note that a ticketing/check-in desk will be automatically assigned to your gate): A12
Destination/Travel Route: Königsberg Airport, Königsberg (KNB)
Frequency of Flights per day: 1 flight per day from Mon to Sat, 2 flights per day on Sundays
Estimated Number of Passengers (annual): 250 000

Applied Gate (Please note that a ticketing/check-in desk will be automatically assigned to your gate): A13
Destination/Travel Route: Wolfenstein City Airport, Wolfenstein (WFS)
Frequency of Flights per day: 1 flight per day from Mon to Sat, 2 flights per day on Sundays
Estimated Number of Passengers (annual): 250 000

Would you like to open an airline lounge? Yes
If so, how many and which terminal? 1 fully-equipped rather large-sized lounge, Terminal 1.
If so, for whom? Mainly for Rombergia, although other passengers from airlines within same alliance could also use it. Astyrian users not in the same alliance get a discount, others have to pay the full fee.

Will you be opening an office here at Li Yuanhong? Yes
If so, how many employees? 20
If so, will be you be hiring locally? All staff will be local, with a manager sent in from Romberg.

For more information on our airline, feel free to consult our airline information page here .

I hope that with the interests of both nations taken into consideration, our proposal for the establishment of a route would be seriously considered, and that it could be approved as soon as possible.

Yours Sincerely,

Mr. Andrei Karlsson,

Chief Operating Officer,
Rombergia-Flying With Style

The Imperial Realm of Romberg

To: Li Yuanhong International Airport, Office of Corporate Affairs
Subject: Potential for business

Whom it may concern,

CuppaCoffee currently operates in over 280 countries around the world, recently becoming the largest recognised company of its kind currently active within the international hospitality industry. Hoping to increase awareness of our brand within new and/or emerging global markets, we feel that the opening of new locations within Li Yuanhong Intl' Airport would certainly expand our opportunities to a significant degree.

The number of people that use international airports daily as either a point of departure, arrival or transit mean that they are prime money-making and advertising locations for CuppaCoffee. Feeling that your airport offers significant potential, getting off to an early expansion phase since its fairly recent opening, we believe that the opening of CuppaCoffee stores would benefit both our companies.

Attached below is a completed business application, we hope it has been filled out to a satisfactory standard. Should you have any questions regarding the filled-out fields or simply wish to know more about our company and its various goals and workings, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to making a decision.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Oliver Buxon
CEO of CuppaCoffee plc
