The short explanation is rather simple, but leaves much to be desired. The Wolfhaven Defence Alliance is an alliance of Korongolese defence manufacturers who have come together in an effort to promote and sell their products on the international stage since 1953. 78% of all military equipment exported from New Korongo is developed and manufactured by members of the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance. We have cast aside intranational competition for international orders so that each member of the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance has the best possible chance an extensive arms market that stretches across the globe. To explain why our members are willing to abandon the competitiveness that is indicative of New Korongo’s free market economy, one must understand the history of defence manufacturing in New Korongo and how it has grown and declined over the past four centuries.
The journey begins in the early seventeenth century when adventurous individuals from Europe began trading with the lands of the eastern Asia on a large scale. The interests of European political leaders quickly followed as the Far East became a location where they could expand their domain. The nations of mainland Asia and Austronesia quickly became members of a global community, and New Korongo's arms industry was not prepared. Prior to arrival of trade with Europe, Korongolese defence manufacturers were small scale affairs that created weapons to equip the armies of the Lijans, lords. Trade between New Korongo and the nations of Asia was common, but the export of arms was quite rare. All potential international customers had the capability to produce weapons of all types in sufficient numbers. European traders brought with them techniques and technologies foreign enough to provoke interest in an international arms trade across Asia and Austronesia and they were able to create a monopoly on a weapons market that had not existed prior to their arrival. Korongolese weapon makers were immediately shut out and succeeding generations of weapon smiths inherited a severe disadvantage. Skip to the beginning of the twentieth century, and New Korongo had finally developed an arms industry that could compete with European manufacturers. Korongolese weapons were, for a time, exported throughout the Far East. However, two world wars and two civil wars quickly devastated this industry and forced New Korongo into a position where its armed forces were dependent on foreign designs. In 1953, four years after the end of the Second Korongolese Civil War, the defence manufacturing industry in New Korongo was on the brink of complete failure. The Royal Armed Forces was only interested in foreign designs, the international arms market was flooded with Second World War-era surplus, and it is estimated that 38% of New Korongo’s industrial capability was damaged or destroyed. It was in these dark times that the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance was formed. On the 28th of August 1953 the leaders of the Korongolese arms industry met in the city of Bampa-Otri. The name 'Bampa-Otri' roughly translates to 'Haven of Wolves'. These industrial leaders founded an organisation, an alliance of their respective corporations, that would combine all of their production and marketing capabilities into a single entity for the purposes of international trade. Three corporations and seven smaller companies were founding members. Fortunately for the thousands of people employed by the Korongolese defence manufacturing industry today, the idea worked. The Wolfhaven Defence Alliance gained its first international order in January 1954. Ten more followed as the year went on. The number and size of international orders continued to grow in the following years and the Korongolese arms industry had regained the position it had maintained at the beginning of the twentieth century by the 1980s. Without the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance, the Korongolese arms industry would not simply exist.
Today, the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance represents more than forty Korongolese arms manufacturers and has centuries of culminated experience within its membership. The engineers and designers employed by the members of the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance work around the clock to develop advanced military equipment that is unparalleled on the battlefield and cost effective designs which are accessible to those nations that cannot afford top of the line equipment. We strive to provide our customers with a full selection of military equipment which is useful to them, reliable in the hands of a hard-working military force, and effective of the modern battlefield.
Wolfhaven Announces Foreign Product Promotion Program
This is promising news for all Wolfhaven Defence Alliance investors and employees as the initial appearance of the corporation's storefront thirteen months ago was relatively lackluster. Corporate officials claim that the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance was overburdened with contracts for the Korongolese government in 2014 and hope that the corporation will be able to succeed in areas where the it failed in 2015. The Wolfhaven Defence Alliance catalogue is expected to expand rapidly this year with products from the FPP Program joining new equipment developed in New Korongo which was previously unavailable for export for various reasons. As a result of this news, WDA stocks have risen over the past week.

During times of war it is often difficult for a defence manufacturer to ship military equipment to a paying customer. No fly zones can prevent civilian cargo aircraft from delivering a customer’s cargo and ships transporting recently purchased equipment could easily become victim to enemy merchant raiding. For this reason, many customers would prefer that the equipment used by their armed forces is manufactured in their own country by local industry. This can sometimes prevent potential customers from purchasing military equipment, which would be entirely suitable for their needs, from overseas corporations. To eliminate this problem the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance offers customers the ability to purchase Domestic Production Rights, often referred to as DPR, which allows customers to produce products offered by the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance domestically in their own nation.
When a customer purchases Domestic Production Rights for a certain product offered by the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance, they are purchasing the ability to produce as many examples of that product as they wish in their own factories. In addition to this, a team of our specialists will also be sent to the nation of the customer purchasing Domestic Production Rights. These men and women will aid the customer in establishing production of the product in their own nation. When domestic production begins in another nation, it provides additional jobs and reduces the strain placed upon the factories of the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance. Because of this, it is often cheaper to purchase Domestic Production Rights instead of placing an exceptionally large order for a single product. Please note that the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance reserves the right to revoke Domestic Production Rights at any time.
The cost of Domestic Production Rights for a certain is based on the original cost of the product in question and varies between product types. The Domestic Production Rights for products classed as “Infantry Weapons” is 10,000 times the cost of a single example of the product. The Domestic Production Rights for products classed as “Ground Vehicles” is 1000 times the cost of a single example of the product. The Domestic Production Rights for products classed as “Aircraft” is 500 times the cost of a single example of the product. The Domestic Production Rights for products classed as “Naval Vessels” is 50 times the cost of a single example of the product. Due to security concerns, not all products will have Domestic Production Rights available, although exceptions will be made for members of the Western Coalition.
- All orders are to be made “in-character”, and will be considered confidential agreements between the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance and the customer.
- We, the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance, reserve the right to deny any order without providing justification.
- Please consider the ability of your nation to operate the products which you purchase. An order for a million tanks made by a nation of ten million people will be denied.
- Resale of Wolfhaven Defence Alliance equipment is prohibited, and transfer of WDA products to other nations cannot be made without permission.
- You can do the math if you wish, or the Wolfhaven Defence Alliance can do it for you.
