The LWCQS started out as a side project in Piston's R&D department. The design called for a 12 guage shotgun in bullpup configuation, the first of its kind. The bullpup design was ment for the purpose of lower recoil; as with most 12 guage weapons, any barrel longer than 20-24 in. tend to be highy suseptible to the risk of unessessary recoil. With the pistol grip and handguard placed closer to the the mid-front of the weapon, it provide extra stability as you are able to have more control of the weapon. And with its 24 round capacity in its uniquely designed dual-drum magazine, the LWCQS provides over 3x the typical capacity of most modern day shotguns. It also has the ability to shoot at well over 4 rounds per second, so if you are in the heat of battle you do not need to waste time as with standard pump-action shotguns. It's robust design also allows for maximum comfort, and at only 7.4 lbs it weighs the same as most standard sized assault rifles. With an added rail system, it allows you to add accessories nessessary for what your mission calls for. (Removable iron sights included with purchase.) This is the shotgun of the future. Making sure your army is well equiped should be the utmost importance, with this you are ensuring your soldier makes it to the next battle. BACKGROUND:
The Piston-Lyran LY83 Jackel began it's life as the Lyran Arms LY83 Fox; designed and built by the Protectorate of Lyras. Specifically designed as a replacement for the M998 and M1114 HMMMV, it has also supplanted a number of similar vehicles, and assumed a wide variety of combatant and non-combatant roles, within all arms of the Lyran Protectorate Military. In most cases, the LY83 is referred to simply as the “Fox”. The Fox was designed by the Protectorate Research and Development Commission, in conjunction and spurred on by submissions from Asgarnieu and the Federal Republic of Hamilay, both of whom sought Lyran assistance in the production of a light multirole utility vehicle. In January of 2010, Lyran Arms granted the Piston Armament Corporation of Ashbourton DPR rights to produce and distribute fully customizabe Foxes (now renamed "Jackel"). The Jackel was retro-fited with all a multipurpose vehicle needs in urban and conventional warfare.

ARMAMENT:
Though the standard model doesn not come equiped with weaponry, they can be customized and refurbished with anything item a client requests. Yet, pre-made models have been created to provide clients with a fast buy if they see fit. Pre-made models are fitted with a multitude of weaponry; Piston HMG .50, MMG 7.62, Halo-rain AA missles, and mine sweeping hardware.

ARMOR AND PROTECTION:
The LY83 Jackel is equiped with depeleted uranium and titanium alloy, with internally lined with kevlar mesh. This state of the art armor has the tolorence of withstanding a direct hit by .50 cal and 20 mm weapons. The underside of the vehicle is v-shaped as to allow the blowout of explosions to be forced up and outward to protect the crew compartment. A roll cage is installed on all varients as well; the risk of roll over is a real possibility in modern warfare, so protection in this matter is a big factor. The Jackel's wheelwells are also place futher away of the crew compartment to to direct mine blasts away from the crew thus providing extra protection. Distraction devices have also been inplemented such as smoke and tear gas mortors. The Jackel also has an redundant internal oxygen filtration system as well as Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical resistant life support systems.

ARMAMENT AND SPECS:
The vehicle shall be capable of traveling at least 2 miles after suffering a single 7.62mm perforation in the engine oil system, or coolant system, or fuel storage system. It will also be equipped with run flat tires, to sustain mobility up to 30-50 miles, traveling at a speed of 30 mph, after suffering multiple hits at two tires. Besides improving off-road mobility and maneuverability, the Razorback will implement lessons learned from the initial operations with MRAP vehicles in theater. For example, the new all-terrain system is required to be much quieter; the objective goal calls for interior noise level at each seating position to permit eight hours of continuous exposure without hearing protection. Another requirement, is negotiating water obstacles. Another lesson is the need for side lights, for night time route clearing and patrol. The Razorback will be provided with side-light illumination for visibility to the side of the vehicle up to 100 meters during night operations. Another aspect addressed in the requirement is fording performance. While the vehicle will not have amphibious capabilities, it is required to ford hard bottom fresh water to depths of up to 60 inches without special preparation. The Razorback was designed to comply with MRAP level protection, offer good off-road performance, carry mission equipment, including protected gunner kit or remotely operated weapon station in additional to add-on armor protection.

ARMAMENT AND SPECS:
The Badger currently employs STANAG Level II armor capabilities and provides state of the art military hardware. Though not designed as an MRAP vehicle, the Badger has been designed for IED and Explosive ordinace protection. The size of the wheel wells are larger than normal for the type of tires employed, this creates an open space in which the blast can vent outwards rather than up. The ride height of this vehicle helps as well. The Badger also employs what other Piston vehicles do not, a Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR). During night operations the gunner of the RC .50 MG, can utilize the FLIR to effectively engage targets he would not be able to see during normal day ops. The Badger has already been proven in combat environment with the Armed Forces of Ashebourton and have proven that for as small as they are, they pack a wild punch. Another need options is the counter balancing suspension, if a tire were to get blown off or become detached from the axle, the Badger would still be able to drive only at speeds below 45 mph.
